This was a saturday night visit so it was busy. The wife ordered a calzone and I ordered the lasagne. We were with another couple. Their food came out first. I waited a few minutes for mine however we waited for the calzone to come out for a long time finally we just went ahead and ate. We were almost done before the calzone finally made it. The lasagne was very meaty and not much sauce. The calzone seemed to be just cheese and a little ham and no other ingredients. Our friends veal parm was dry so they brought him another but did nothing to compensate for our extremely poor service. We won't be back.

Delicious pizza and very friendly staff. My mom and I ordered a large Brooklyn Special and everything about it was fabulous. We ordered the large to make sure we had leftovers for later. The only downside to this restaurant is the size. There is hardly any waiting area and not a lot of tables. The waiting area flows into the dining area so while eating, you begin to feel rushed. Although, the food is worth the wait. Just go early!

Went to Brooklyn's on 5/11 with my wife, parents, and a couple of their close friends. First time I had ever been there. Had no problem getting a table for 6, as it was a little slow for a Monday night (from what I was told). Not a lot of tables inside but I see this place doing a huge takeout business. We ordered 2 large pizzas - one plain cheese and the other with sausage and pepperoni. My father ordered some dish with mussels and pasta with spicy sauce - I guess that is his staple when he goes to Brooklyn's. Pizzas were EXCELLENT. Cheese pizza had plenty of cheese on it and the other pizza was not lacking at all in the toppings. They were cooked perfectly and the large 18" pie yielded 8 big slices. Reminded me a lot of the pizza I'm use to having here in upstate NY. My dad said his dinner was excellent as usual. Our server was a Hispanic woman who did a great job taking care of us. She was very attentive to our needs and we never had to ask for a drink to be filled up - always a plus in my book. Good quality pizza on freshly hand tossed and stretched dough. Really enjoyed it there and would definitely go back again on my next visit to Florida.

A small little place in a strip mall. It really doesn't have much ambiance, so I wouldn't suggest it if you're looking for a nice, romantic night out. But if you're just in the mood for some decent Italian food then this is the right spot. Service was good. The girl was pleasant and efficient. Started off with a glass of wine. Don't expect any sort of wine list because its pretty much all house, which was fine. Next she brought out garlic rolls, which in my opinion, were too hard as if they had been sitting out too long or something. Seriously thought I was gonna chip a tooth, but it may have been an off batch? I'm not much of a carb eater to begin with and if I decide to go for it, it better be worth it and these certainly weren't. Next, she took our order and when I asked for my zuppa di pesce to be fra diavlo and she looked puzzled I changed my mind and went with the chicken marsala instead. My friend went with the lasagna and both dishes come with a choice of soup or salad. My soup was good and the salad my friend had looked decent as well, but it wasn't anything special in my opinion. Next our meals... my chicken marsala was good, but not the traditional marsala I'm familiar with. It seemed as if they added tons of sugar to it and it was extremely sweet for my palate. Wasn't bad, but not what I wanted nor expected. My friend seemed to enjoy her lasagna, but it was really bland to me. All in all, it was ok, but I don't think I'd make it a point to put it on a list of places I'd frequent.

My brother worked here over the summer and he always said the food was great so I had to try it. He recommended the Stuffed Spinach Pie Slice and it was amazing!! I could barely finish it, so filling and very cheap! Totally eating here again.

There seemed to be a few NY-style pizza places in this area, and we went to this one on a busy Friday night. Since they don't take reservations, we had about a 20 minute wait, which wasn't terrible. But there's really no waiting area, and it started to pour just after we got there, so we couldn't really wait outside either. Eventually we got a table, and both our service and food were pretty good. The antipasto was very well put together, but the garlic knots were a little too buttery for my liking. I enjoyed my pasta dish (the chicken Genovese), and the pizza I tried was also good. Apparently the lasagna was fantastic and supposedly is the best thing on the menu. They do a good takeout business too, as a steady stream of people walked out with pizza boxes. All told, a decent little place.

Best Brooklyn style pizza in the county. Their margarita pizza is amazing!! Delivery can be a little on the slow side but it is usually worth the wait.

Husband and I just had dinner at this place and had to write a review. We tried the garlic knots that were much recommended and we loved them. The waitress recommended we try the Michelangelo which was her favorite. Let's just say It was AMAZING!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some great food and fast service.

We visited here with a party of 4, 3 had pizza that was good and I had the special which was a pasta with shrimp and GARLIC sauce. We would all go back and try different things, the service was good and other than the over use of garlic in the pasta our all enjoyed our food.

Had to do an update. They used canned mushrooms on our pizza. May I repeat, they used canned mushrooms on our pizza. Even pizza hut uses fresh these days. Also, they need to train the waiters better. We ordered roasted red peppers for a topping and we ended up with a green/red pepper mix. NOT the same...The waiter was good about it and offered us a free dessert. We declined that, as the pizzas here are huge and who's got room for that?

No complaints here - seeing that this place has excellent reviews I came expecting quality, and believe me, I wasn't disappointed! We came for a late lunch on the fourth of July so not crowded at all. Was attended to quickly and nicely and waitress was kind. This place has the air conditioning blasting plus multiple ceiling fans running - finally! A restaurant in Florida gets it! The menu is pretty large - your classic Italian dishes and pizza. We started off with the garlic knots they were very good and came with marina sauce for dipping. I got the smallest size pizza for myself to eat. The pizza was good. I expected a NY style pizza because of the name of the restaurant but it actually just tasted and looked like you classic pizza. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though because I definitely enjoyed the pizza. One thing that annoys me but isn't a big deal is that when me and the person who I was with was still eating we were asked about getting dessert. What?!? Can you wait till we finish?!?! They have plenty of desserts to choose from and I didn't get any this time but I plan to next time I visit.

This restaurant is (recently) under new ownership. I had thought I had written a review of this restaurant earlier, but apparently the review is "missing" or perhaps I just forgot. "Brooklyn Pasta and Pizza" is located in the strip mall just West of the intersection of Murrell Rd. and Viera Blvd. There are three rows of booths/tables separated by partitions. The kitchen is at the back. Everything appears new and very clean. We ordered soft drinks and beer (domestic and imported) and a large pepperoni pie. The soft drinks/tea are "bottomless, by the way. The tradition of good service continues under the new ownership. I looked at the pizza that was delivered to tableside, and immediately asked the server whether they had a new chef ? That's when I found that ownership had changed several months ago. The new style pizza features premium cheese and sauce (Stanislaus tomatoes), with smaller size premium pepperoni (salmuni). Theses are all top quality ingredients. The "Pizzaioli" appeared tableside and we chatted. He is a man of Italian-American descent from St. Louis. He's been trained by pizza chefs in Frisco , and is a dedicated pizzaioli and "foodie". This is great. We need pizzaioli trading cards ! The pizza itself is very good , and the ingredients are second to none. Not "Brooklyn" tasting , but that's OK.If you are used to the typical "street slice" from NYC, you will recognize the difference , and it's all to the good at this restaurant.

We have ordered take out from here a couple of times and it has been consistently good. The pizza crust is homemade, and executed well. The Cobb Salad is tasty and their salad dressings are made in house. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent NY-style pizzeria . The authentic NY pizza is delicious as is the Stromboli. All the pasta dishes I have tried have been excellent, and the eggplant parmesan is very good. Portions are generous. Their garlic bread knots are addictive. Simple but delicious, unpretentious Italian at a great price - what's not to like? You won't be disappointed!

We've had take out from here before, but hadn't had a chance to eat in yet. Located in a strip mall, your typical neighborhood type pizza/italian joint. Ordered the garlic knots for an appetizer - definitely a must. They were fluffy, warm and not too garlic-y or oily. Awesome. The rest of the meal was pretty uneventful, had the eggplant parm sub and my dining companions had the lasagna and the meatball sub. Nothing to write home about, kinda bland, but filling and tasted ok. The service was great, it was sit where you want, drinks right away and an attentive but not annoying server. Would go again just for the knots.

UPDATE: Since they've been under new ownership, their food has become a disappointment. I'm not sure why they would change something that was already good, but I noticed the change in taste, presentation, and quality and asked about it... and that's when I was informed of the change in ownership. Their pasta fagioli is no longer my favorite; in fact, I don't even like it anymore. A huge disappointment. I was also always impressed with the veal francese, but no more. It's really too bad. PREVIOUS REVIEW WITH 5 STARS: Whenever we want to order Italian in, this is where we go! They have the best pizza & pasta options. Everything always tastes fresh, authentic, and delicious. Their pasta fagioli is my favorite in town!

Had a couple of salads, pizza and a spaghetti, and a glass of pino griggio. Everything was just perfect. And at $30 (for 2), a bargain!

This place used to be by far the best around for italian cooking. I think they must have changed owners. Food is still good but by no means what it used to be. Still very worth the visit though.

Great pasta and pasta that has yet to disappoint. We drive from a condo we own on Satellite beach every time we are in town, past two or three Bizzaros just to get to this place. It is in a strip center, next to a liquor store, so the ambiance is not our target. They have great options for kids and service that has yet to disappoint.

My buddy told me this is the best pizza in Central Florida. I said that wasn't possible. Well, he was right. Awesome pizza and excellent lasagna. I have been back 5 times and it is consistently great.

They make some pretty great NY style pies here. Also, I love their rice balls that they make. If you've never had a rice ball, try one from Brooklyn Pizza sometime. It's rice that's formed into a big ball (softball sized) around ground meat(s) and then the whole thing is deep fried. They serve it with tomato sauce. I know it sounds weird, but it's actually delicious.

Best NYC style pizza that I have tasted in the county & this includes several of the Bizzarro's, including the one on A1A at 192. Crispy crust with just the right amount of sauce & cheese. This comes from someone that lived in the NYC area for 50+ years.

Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta Best lunch pizza by the slice, outstanding pies, can't wait to try the pasta. I found Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta solely due to the Yelp! Mobile App when I asked Yelp to show me restaurants nearby when I was last at the Viera shopping center. I rarely make it to this part of the Space Coast and had never set foot in or even previously seen the shopping plaza in which it is located. Since the Yelp listing lacks an address, pizza lovers with a GPS take note that Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta is located at 5410 Murrell Road, Suite 211, Viera, FL 32955. I came to Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta with high expectations from its excellent reviews on Yelp and due to its choice of name. The proprietor could have called it Ney York Pizza & Pasta but choose to go with Brooklyn. Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs of New York City ( the other four are (the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island and Queens). Italians played a huge role in Brooklyn culture and Brooklyn is home to several of New York's most famous and superb pizzerias, most notably Grimaldi's Pizzeria and DiFana. I hoped that this restaurant in Viera would be run by folks who think of pizza as an art from and recognize Brooklyn as a Mecca of great pizza. When I arrived at Brooklyn Pizza for lunch the specials board listed two slices with a drink for $4.95. I confirmed that their mushrooms were fresh not canned and that their Ice Tea was fresh brewed ( they fresh brew Luzianne Ice Tea), and ordered two mushroom slices ( 50 cents per slice up-charge for one topping) and ice tea. About seven minutes later two large slices arrived. They smelled great, were piping hot and in anticipation I lifted up the bottom of the slice to see what was underneath and it was a beautiful sight. The crust was a beautiful medium dark brown, I guess you can call it medium-well, but this slice was crisp the way pizza in Brooklyn pizza really is. ( I have been to Grimali's and had the real deal). Pizza when done right shows the signs of being in contact with an oven at high heart. Browning and charring is a badge of honor on pizza. This is a fact lost on the simpletons whose whitebread tastes never graduated from mass produced flavorless junk pizza made by national chains using conveyor belt ovens. Brooklyn Pizza has what looks like a Baker's pride pizza oven, ( I was wishing for a coal fired oven like at Grimaldi's but, this is Melbourne not New York), but in the hands of the professionals at Brooklyn Pizza this type of oven can make great pizza. I believe that they only serve slices for lunch. For a diner who specifically wants slices because the are dining alone or do not have time to wait for a fresh pie, this is THE BEST LUNCH PIZZA BY THE SLICE in the Space Coast. I am giving them a spot on my top three in county list for pizza. They also have a Margarita pie with fresh mozzarella, something missing from almost every other local pizzeria. The Ice Tea was fresh brewed, served with fresh lemon, available in sweet and unsweet, and was regularly refreshed. The service was pleasant and efficient. Thank you Yelp for helping me find this gem. I will definitely be back to try the pasta.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
