CAFFÉ PANINI All is well from the doctor, but needed a break from recipes that aren't turning out so great. There was only one place I wanted to go before the Venice Indians football game Friday night - Caffe Panini. Lisa Smith your pics did me in. We knew what we wanted - salad and pizza. We could not believe we have never had it here. Truth is that I'm not a lover of pizza. But my hubby is - so much that we each ordered our own small pie. We both love salad. We ordered the Misto minus the ham. Fresh greens, cherry tomatoes and their house made fresh mozzarella. Bottles of EVOO and balsamic so that we may dress it to our taste. Their mozzarella is exquisite. I would eat an entire pound with my fingers pulling it apart if I didn't have dietary restrictions. As an accompaniment, triangles of warm panini bread. My DH ordered his favorite - margarita, a simple, humble pie of tomato sauce, basil and the mozzarella. I ordered the Vegetariana which was topped with tomato sauce, eggplant, roasted peppers, mushrooms and mozzarella. If you think there is a theme here, you're right. I cannot count or even want to recall the number of FB threads there have been about pizza, the crust, or the style. I do not know how Nick makes his dough. I do not care. I only know that for this family there will be no other pizza. It's that easy. The crust was the perfect thickness to hold the toppings. It was a thing of beauty. There were no huge air bubbles on the outside; no burnt parts to kill the flavor in your mouth. There was no greasiness. These debates have gone on long enough. While we were eating, another table had ordered what looked to be panna cotta topped with berries. There was a large table of 10 behind me and one of the gentlemen interrupted his conversation to say "That is so good you will not believe it." Further discussion and he said he is from New Jersey. I said I wouldn't hold it against him. Of course I got the dessert. It was so good that I can't believe it. Not loose, not lumpy. A creamy, rich velvety texture topped with a berry compote that made my taste buds dance. Thusly, I am sated. My night was made even better by Indians beating Rams 21-10. Thank you Annamarie Todaro Depaolis. You're the best! BTW, I just saw that you have on the Children's Menu Mozzarella Grilled Cheese. I am now going to cry.

Thin crust pizza that is the equal of that found in New York or New Jersey. Fresh mozzarella, spicy sausage, good sauce, crispy crust. And Ceasar is a really nice guy. Very happy to find this place. After living in the NY metro area for over 60 years my pizza standards are high. Now if I can find decent bagels life in Venice will be great.

I found myself in Venice in need of lunch, and figured that I would try this place out, and I was not disappointed. It's a smaller establishment, with tables inside and outside. As it was a hot summer day, I opted for inside seating. I decided to try their Trio Combo, it's your choice of a half panini, with soup and a mixed green salad. I went with the Capri Panini as I was attempting not to eat any meat for the week. Not that I'm a vegetarian, or concerned about my diet, it was just a personal challenge to mix things up. The Capri Panini comes with homemade mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. I asked our server about the choices for soup, and on the day of my visit they had a roasted tomato soup, as well as an artichoke and pea soup. I was intrigued by the artichoke and pea soup, so I went with it. The food arrived after about ten minutes, and the panini was very, very good. The artichoke and pea somehow worked together very well, and I enjoyed my soup very much as also. The salad wasn't too shabby either. The server was very attentive, and the price was right. I would recommend coming in to give it a try if you find yourself in the area.

Relaxing lunch with fabulous service by Sean. We are very particular about our pizza-and the fresh tomato & mozzarella won the prize. We shared a delicious salad, for $12 just wasn't sure if the value was truly there. If it had a few more pieces of the fabulous Italian meat I would have thought so. Overall good lunch-sat outside as the inside is tiny and a bit generic. Will visit again soon!

Delicious gem of a spot for lunch. Had panninis and fresh made pasta with our party, all was excellent. All the five star reviews are no joke. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and give them a try. We can't wait to go back. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. We ate inside to cool off in the AC but they have a few tables outside as well.

This little place is a must stop restaurant. Don't walk by without eating here. Best salads and sandwiches. Fresh made bread. Everything is made fresh in house. They make their own mozzarella. Service was attentive. Price was reasonable. I would give it ten stars if I could.

After a nice swim at the beach, I wanted to have lunch. So while browsing around the street in Venice (Florida) I was not able to resist the warm smell of fresh bread and mozzarella. I walked in Cafe Panini and was told I could sit wherever I wanted. I ordered a panini that had fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh tomatoes and some bazil. It was simple but absolutely delicous! it came with a small side of cut tomatoes and vinaigrette that was refreshing. The panini was made with fresh buttery bread that was baked the same day, it was warm with the right amount of crisp on the outside, and inside had a generous amount of prosciutto. The mozzarella (the star of the dish) was also made fresh that same day, and I have never had such a creamy and flavourful mozzarella. The people were extremley nice and gave me a sample of fresh cut mozzarella tomato with a drop of vinager since i liked it so much. This is a place I would love to come for lunch almost everyday.

I would give it yet another star. The food is delicious. I had the half a panino sandwich with soup and salad. It was lentil sausage soup .. Delicious! The sandwich was prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and grilled eggplant with basil. The salad comes with exquisite extra virgin olive oil and vinegar, brought to the table for your own dressing of the greens. We had a beer with the sandwich and an espresso. If you like espresso, don't bother to go anywhere else. It was the right thing.

My husband and I were looking for a place to have dinner. We kinda found it accidentally, as it is at the end of Venice ave. The place is cute- food is unexpectedly delicious. The homemade mozzarella is absolutely mouthwatering. And their thin crusted pizza is like none other. Definitely will be coming here again. Very reasonably priced and wonderful service!

This is a tiny place, easy to overlook, but the food is outstanding. Everything is homemade in this Italian eatery. My husband and I both began with a highly unusual soup: artichoke, spring peas and linguine pasta cooked al dente. It was very tasty. We both had paninis: his had lots of prosciutto and freshly made mozzarella; I ordered smoked salmon without any cheese, and it was full of flavor and delicious. For dessert I ordered a lemon tart actually flown in from Italy! This whole meal was a surprise because every course was scrumptious and unusual. Most patrons come here to get their individually made pizzas, but we enjoyed sitting at a table for our lunch. We plan to go back next week!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
