Very nice, lots of choices. Upscale option at The Villages. Great for special occasion.
Great food, great service. Here's a tip: go at 8pm and save yourself a wait, the wait can be long at times.
Nancy Lopez is AWESOME. I had my wedding here last May and I am so looking foward to eating here while visiting my parents. The food is fabulous! I offered the steak, salmon, pork chop or the marsala stuffed chicken breast. I had about 45 people there and everyone raved about the food. By far the best spot in the villages :).

A staff member was extremely rude in my latest visit. I asked for soy milk and the barista proceeded to pour me shots of soy milk and explain to me the health code (which I totally understand, I'm just usually handed the entire carton) and say "I'm not sure how they do it in MA, but this is how we do it here". Totally rude and unnecessary way to treat a customer!
Nice staff clean store!
Very friendly staff. The terrace in front of this Starbucks is great to sit and enjoy your coffee. The strawberry smoothie is delicious with the high temperatures at the villages.

We eat here several times a week! It is our favorite restaurant out of all the country clubs in The Villages. My husband always orders the haddock dinner and loves it. I try something different all the time and have never been disappointed. Their coconut shrimp salad as well as the pineapple boat chicken salad are my favorites. The prime rib on Tuesdays couldn't be any better. Sometimes the wait to be seated can be longer than I like, and service can sometimes be slower as they are always busy. If u make it before 5 o'clock, happy hour makes it worth waiting!
We've had their prime rib and the steamship pork and it's always great. Service is great! Leave room for dessert :-) Eat from the whole menu. Not at once of course. You won't be disappointed. We live in Collier.
Had dinner there last night with my husband and both of us thought it was wonderful! The pork and demi-glaze were excellent. My husband loved his turkey dinner. The menu prices were perfect, Thank you so much for a delightful evening.

China Gourmet III

China Gourmet fails to be gourmet. Maybe I'm spoiled having grown up in the city but, this restaurant leaves much to be desired. To be fair, it was ready in a jiffy and fairly priced. I got the moo shoo pork (sp?) And was satisfied, but my companion ordered a simple chicken cashew and it didn't go well. Now I understand that not all Chinese restaurants have the same recipes but, maybe a dish called chicken cashew could have some chicken in it. However, it did have the authentic zucchini, cooked until mushy, and in great quantity. Zucchini says Chinese to me! The last complaint maybe just me, and my like-minded companion: the cashews were an after thought. They were toss on raw, at the end, over the slimy zucchini. In my experience they're apart of the dish (with chicken!) I love zucchini. Really I do. And maybe in authentic Chinese food it's a staple. But if you're looking for authentic Chinese find the nearst large city and its version of China Town. You'll be shocked to find what the Chinese serve each other is nothing like what they feed the everyday customers. In all, to be fair, my dish was fine and maybe they were low on chicken that night.
We have been down here several times on vacation and eat at China Gourmet every time we are here. We have always had excellent service, excellent food and look forward to the large portions that give me left overs the next day (or two)! Thank you, look forward to the next trip!
Absolutely great food. Cooked to order so it is fresh and plentiful. Better be hungry. Call in to save time. You probably won't get a table so take it home and feast. Special fried rice and sweet sour chicken dishes are really good. Gotta try a new dish next time. Love it.

Excellent service in Timothy and his staff! Lovely atmosphere for a great dining experience. I had a salad with scallops and shrimp on it, very healthy and fresh (maybe too healthy?). Jan had shrimp and chicken mixed grill which was soooo tasty! His came with delicious mashed potatoes and pea pods- everything so yummy!
I started with the lobster bisque and it was good , but a little too salty. The lobster bisque at Cane Gardens is better. Then I had a lobster roll which had two issues for me. First it came with slices of tomatoes and I can't stand tomatoes. The menu did not say it had tomatoes or I would have asked them to delete them. I took them out. Secondly the mayo sauce was a little bland. There was a good amount of tasty chunks of lobster and that saved them from a two star. My wife got the grilled salmon and said it was good. The Clifford Bay Sauv Blanc was good and reasonably priced and the house cab was very good and reasonable. Service by Scott was excellent.
Second time back and still impressed. Food is quite good and service seems unreliable but time will tell. Had shrimp and grits at $17.90 and very good with plenty of med size shrimp. Wife had veggie flatbread and loved it. Staff is generally senior with long experience as one would expect in an upscale restaurant. However, our server tonight was not very attentive. Had to ask another server to help us get another drink. Also, our server gave us the check and took it without clearing the table - totally inappropriate for a fine restaurant. On our way out, the apparent manager asked how it went. He also told us they were still working to improve. Well worth the visit and we definitely will return. Note: except for a few mistakes by our "experienced" server, the rest of the staff seemed quite good and professional with ONE big exception - a female server walking around obviously chewing gum and loving it. To me, that sort of thing should NEVER be tolerated in a nice restaurant. I hope the management sees this review!!!

Food was good! Very busy lunch crowd. The villages is quite a place, it was really interesting to see so many people driving around in custom made golf carts! Also, the shopping center here looks like the old west. All the building are made to look like they were there for a hundred years, they even had old painted and faded advertisements on the sides of the buildings. Really great attention to detail on all the buildings! Worth a trip over here just to see the shopping center if you are in central Florida.
My husband and I really enjoy eating lunch here when we visit Brownwood. I always get the chicken caesar wrap and it's delicious! My husband usually gets the turkey melt. They have a lot of different options and their sweet tea is huge and very good!
My mom and I stopped by here for a quick lunch before my hair appointment. We both ordered the Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheeder Grilled Sandwhich. It was so good!!! I would compare it to panera bread sandwhiches ... maybe even better than panera. It is the type of restaurant where you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Shortly after we recieved our food the manager stopped by our table to greet us and make sure everything was good.... which it was. I will certainly be coming back to McAlister's Deli for the Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheeder. Yum Yum!

If you've never been to an authentic New York deli you are in for a treat. I generally go on off hours because it is always packed. The menu is so diverse you could spend the afternoon reading. A real specialty is the sauted Chicken livers with lots of onions and brown gravy. It is to die for and available nowhere else. BEWARE!!. I am a pretty big eater and I can't remember ever finishing a plate here and the food is tremendous.
Great place! The menu offered something for everyone and the food was good. Our waiter was very good . Would go back. Great find in this area.
The size of the sandwiches aren't worth the almost $9. However it does come with a small thing of cole slaw and a pickle. I got the Italiano, the roll it came on wasn't a real kaiser roll, more like those pre packaged hamburger rolls. We got ours to go and they put the dressing on the side which was nice. One sandwich I asked for was Turkey with lettuce and tomato, by the time I got home and opened it, there was only Turkey on it. Really? The guy who took our order seemed really annoyed with us. I didn't even want to ask for anything. He also didn't ask if we wanted anything else before adding up our to-go bill, and he didn't even ask if everything was together when 2 of us ordered, and I told him I was ordering 2 sandwiches myself. Checking in on foursquare said we get a free Black and White cookie, he gave us the bite size ones... 3. Which I guess was okay since we ordered 3 sandwiches, but I wonder what it would have been if I only ordered 1. (I wasn't such a big fan however of the taste.) We got fountain drinks and they came in huge to go cups which was actually nice. I was surprised that you could actually sit and order.

Las Tapas

2738 Brownwood Blvd
The Villages, 32163
Reviews:
Las Tapas is in the tradition of Spanish restaurants specializing in Tapas. It is too bad that some who post negative reviews don't understand the concept of Tapas. Tapas is not Mexican food but is small portions of outstanding quality served immediately. Tapas is not served to everyone all at once. When you go to a Tapas place, you judge on the quality of the food, not the portion or when the food comes. I learned about Tapas in Madrid and Toledo Spain 20 years ago and have been a devotee since. When I judge a place like this, it is on the quality of food, the service, and the recommended wine. We have taken many guests here and all liked it very much. I love to have lunch here because the portion is just right and the bartender, especially Kathy, is really great. If you know what Tapas is all about, you should try it. If you don't, then learn the concept before you go.
I really hope Las Tapas makes it in The Villages since it is not the standard meat and potatoes fare. Have been here several times and really enjoy this place. Usually go with another couple so we can share several tapas. Yummy octopus, mushrooms, cold meat and cheese platter. Great place!
Extremely good food and service, the owner even came out and asked how we liked the food. The waitress was very personable and friendly, would come back.

We had the best experience at this restaurant. Our day had not been the best. Being from Texas I have a "slight" accent when I speak....let's just say some of those people from New York didn't appreciate it and made fun of it. So when we walked into TooJay's we must have looked like we lost our last friend. The wait staff immediately asked if everything was okay. We chuckled and said the guys working at the recreation center let us know very quickly we would not fit in at The Villages. Immediately they apologized (for the other jerks) and then went out of their way to win us over....and boy did they! We loved the pastrami sandwiches, the French onion soup, and the fresh fruit, BUT they paled in comparison to the Banana Dream Cake. Do Not miss it. Oh, and tell the cute red headed waitress (Marion) that we think she rocks! One last thing - to the two Brooklyn Jerks - just because I speak slowly does not mean I think slowly!!! I got a reply back on this review from someone from NY. I tried to reply directly to him, but I couldn't get it to go to him. Sorry sir, I love NY. One of my favorite places, and the people are wonderful. The two gentlemen who worked at the Rec. Center identified themselves as being from NY. You stated that there is no one from NY that works at The Villages Rec. Center. I do not have your inside information on this. They said they were from Brooklyn, and I was just reiterating what they said.
Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in The Villages. Service is excellent and usually fast. The servers are pleasant and efficient. I love the Chargrilled 1/2 pound chopped steak. The pastrami is definitely NY style and delicious.
I love our Toojays in Lake Sumter Landing, so I'll share a secret with you. When you are having breakfast, they will substitute a delicious potato pancake for the usual potatoes they serve at breakfast. Delicious!

Excellent service and the staff is great. The lobster roll was fantastic and the clam chowder was also very good. You cannot beat the atmosphere on the water.
Excellent service. Great view on the patio. The bleu cheese chips were great and so was the Landon Apple Salad. The Boom Boom shrimp was good but average. All in all a great place to eat.
The view here is excellent and worth a visit. I started with a bowl of seafood bisque ----very tasty. Then I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was very good, lots of shrimp in a mildly spicy grits in sauce. My wife ordered their specialty, the butterfish and said it was excellent with a very tasty sauce. I would probably give them a 4 star based on the food but it took us so long to get a table (and we had called ahead) that I was in a bad mood while rating. Once we did get a table, Bonnie did an excellent job of serving us. I would go more often if I could get a reservation.
