Terrible service. Ever since ownership took over with non Argentine ladies, this place went to the dumps. Poor girls at the counter don't even get the tip when you add it to the credit card because the owners keep it, so give them cash or don't bother. The bakery goods also have suffered in quality and not fresh. Just all around real poor service and no one seems to be happy working there.

We had a custom cake designed and we explicitly told them strawberries and we ended up with peaches. Now there was nothing wrong with the cake, it was good, but when we went to complain they looked at us like we were wrong, like we had two heads. Liz was a liar and the manager as soon as I complained, the manager started waving his arms and gave the lady at the front the throat cut signal, like I would not understand. They were very unprofessional dealing with an issue that they caused, they even said that I should have liked the cake, it was there best seller, even though I never ordered a cake with PEACHES and NUTS!! Will Never go back!!! So all will understand: Tuvimos un pastel diseñado y les dijo explÃcitamente las fresas y terminamos con los melocotones. Ahora no habÃa nada malo con la torta, que estaba bien, pero cuando nos fuimos a quejarnos nos miraban como si estuviéramos mal, como si tuviera dos cabezas. Liz era un mentiroso y el gerente tan pronto como se quejó, el director comenzó a agitar los brazos y se entregó a la señora de la frente la señal de corte de garganta, como si yo no lo entenderÃa. Eran muy poco profesional hacer frente a un problema que causa, que llegó a decir que me hubiera gustado la tarta, que estaba allà best seller, aunque nunca me pidió una torta con duraznos y NUTS! Nunca va a volver!

Adorable joint :) Authentic Argentine groceries and fresh baked pastries, but I mostly stop in for an espresso or cappuccino, great coffee! I am yet to go for breakfast or lunch but during the week there is a steady flow of traffic having a bite or getting fresh baked bread and little cakes. If you haven't tried Mate, you can get tea leaves there! yum yum

Milano's used to be a great bakery but they seem to be slacking lately. I used to come here all the time for their dulce de leche churros but they were not fresh the last 3 times I came. The ladies in the bakery are nice and are willing to make anything you ask. Also, I've tried the sandwiches once or twice and, honestly, I'm not really a fan of it. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because I'm hoping it will get better and start making fresh pastries like they used to.

Skirt steak was great and the bread thy use was fresh. I recommend getting fries with your meal , don't forget to put some chimichuri on Ur steak

Fair food, awful service...Came in, was acknowledged but not greeted, sat down at one of the tables and waited around 5 minutes for service. I looked at the staff, who were aware of my presence but acted like I wasn't there. I walked up to one of the employees and was told to place my order at the register. Sure, for a cafe, this might fly, but for a place serving daily lunch specials, a dinner menu, and with around 8, 4-seat tables inside, it's nothing short of ridiculous; maybe dropping by a menu, or giving me a heads up would have been appropriate. The staff all seemed to be in a bad, careless mood, with unpleasant looks on their faces; not a friendly atmosphere. The food came on a plastic plate that slid all over the table. The juices of the meat marinated the fries and the bread that was placed atop it on the cramped disposable. The staff walked past me several times and not once checked in. To order coffee, you walk back to the counter and pay again, as no one picks up your table or asks if you'd like anything else. Got up and left after finishing my meal at one of the most impersonal eating experiences I've had, one that I can only compare to eating at a high school cafeteria.

Being from Argentina I know a thing or two about what an Argentine bakery should be, and let me tell you Milano's hits the mark and then some. All the the baked goods and food I've tried there are delicious. Every time I've been there the staff is very nice, attentive,and well trained. I've also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Milano himself,and it is obvious that he is an owner who truly cares about his bakery and catering to his customers. It is a bit far for me, but it's always worth the trip.

Food was great until one morning I saw a cockroach crawling on the pastries. I told the lady making my coffee. And she reacted naturally like it was ok. I left and never went back. I never write bad reviews, but I hate roaches. This was a few months ago.
