Was too hyped by reviews and was just OK, fried chicken on bread with pickles, mustard and bread is about it..maybe some mayo I think. Chicken was tender enough and and a whole breast..about it. Had the Corn Nuggets too...small container 5-6 chunks was all. Did not walk away in awe, like other reviewers. menu was basic a few items is all. Maybe try the fried chicken ???

Found our go to fried chicken place! Better chicken sandwich than anywhere! And, oh my, the corn nuggets are sublime. Very basic, order at the counter environment. Nothing fancy, but definitely good quality food. Yum!

I had a previous review that was overly harsh, based on numerous experiences I had at the many Lindy's in town. Previously, I experienced bones in my chicken sandwich, chicken salad, undercooked chicken, unclean bathrooms, tables, floors, etc. For whatever reason, this one did a little bit of remodeling and a major clean, which I'm grateful for. My chicken was amazing and the cashiers actually smiled! I don't know what caused the change, but I'm so glad it did. I definitely understand the charm.

My goodness. The best chicken tenders I have ever had.. just spectacular. It will take them 10 minutes, because they are cooked fresh, but I can't overstate how good they are. Plus you get like a pound of them for 6 bucks. I will be back tomorrow. Seriously.

There is no chicken filet sandwich on Earth to top Lindy's. Yes, their counter help can sometimes be surly and maybe there is a little grime in the corners, but who cares when angels kiss your tastebuds with every bite? The sides run from decent (mashed taters) to excellent (fried okra). The gravy is thick and chickeny and you should get a few biscuits and douse them in it. The fried livers are very good, but you have to get there early to get them sometimes. But all that pales in comparison to the fried filet sandwich. In fact, I just persuaded myself to go out in a rainstorm and buy dinner here.

Best Fried chicken sandwich I've ever had! I come to Tallahassee twice a month for work, and Lindy's is a "must" for me every trip.

I love Lindys! They have great fried okra and the mashed potatoes of my childhood. Their chicken is great too, especially for the price. If you like simple, soul food...this is the place to go.

I've loved this place my whole life. Up in Vermont, I'm stuck with just KFC. I get excited when I venture south and can get me that chicken at Popeyes. But Lindy's is what reminds me of real southern-style, home-cooked friend chicken. You know, the kind you get at a small-town Southern Baptist pot luck dinner on the grounds. (Never been to one? Your are missing out.) I had me half a fried chicken, some fried okra, and a mess of collard greens. And I loved every bite of it then, and I miss every moment of it now.

Best chicken in town. Have come here since I was a kid and still love it to this day. The decorations are filled with roosters. The fried chicken here is a Tallahassee staple!

I rarely if ever come to Tallahassee but this time around I noticed a place while leaving the airport area called Lindy's. Since I have a 3-4 time per year weakness for fried chicken, I knew I had to at least check this out, especially since I was on my own for lunch and dinner and that meant no consensus building from my team. Checked out Yelp and found out they have 5 locations in Tally, and this one was a half mile from our office where I parked myself until my mid afternoon meeting. I was wearing a suit and tie, but knew that I probably didn't need the jacket and certainly the tie was going to get in the way as well. At lunch, they had a very good crowd but got a parking spot and ordered a half fried chicken meal (figured may as well go for the gusto) with two sides where i chose corn nuggets and mashed potatoes. The meal comes fast. This is definitely not fine dining and I am sure people were wondering who this guy is in the dress clothes but no issues at all. The chicken was very good. The corn nuggets were something I wouldn't order again although they tasted good it would have been smarter to get green beans or something else not fried. It got to be a bit much. I actually saw the fries and they looked great so the reader may want to just order them. The mashed potatoes were very small, and drowned in gravy but tasted fine. Bottom line is that this place is good for what it is. It is quick southern fried chicken that tasted great. I can't comment on all the other choices on the menu, but quite frankly I wouldn't go there and order a sandwich.

When you walk into Lindy's, don't let the décor fool you. The tables and seating aren't that elegant and some of the signs are handwritten. The food is good homemade, southern influenced food - fried chicken, fried pork chops, potato salad, macaroni & cheese, etc. The staff is very...local. Don't expect to see uniforms or anything like that. Everyone is dressed in regular street clothes and a Lindy's T-Shirt. Prices are not horrible, though the portion sizes could be bigger. Highlights: Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and fried pork chop sandwich. B. Major Grade: B-

After living on the road for two months, there are two things I miss most about life in the south: the hospitality, and corn nuggets from Lindy's. If you're looking for a down-home, kinda messy, not-so-healthy, but totally-worth-it southern food experience, head to Lindy's - and get the chicken sandwich. I'm the pickiest meat eater on the planet, and can attest that the chicken filet sandwich is easily the best on earth. It's so buttery and tender, mmm. But really, get the corn nuggets. I could easily scarf down an entire pint to the face, and would gladly sell my soul to the devil to get my hands on those crispy, creamy nuggets right now. The sweet tea also sings a sugary tune of southern perfection. Don't mind the hustle and bustle behind the counter - those ladies might be hollering orders at the top of their lungs and squabbling with the cooks, but they're as sweet as can be if you're patient and kind. Did I mention the incredible corn nuggets?
