I will not eat fried chicken every night. I will not eat fried chicken every night. I will not eat fried.... DANG IT! How can I not go get fried chicken when Chubbys is so close? Their food isn't groundbreaking, but it's always hot, fresh, and fried up fine. Sometimes I get the Chubby box, sometimes I get the Mexican chop. Either way, I wind up fat and happy. A great late night choice (if your heart can take it).

The deluxe chub box is the way to go. Ask for ranch and buffalo sauce. Their grilled chicken is great, but we won't tell on you for getting the fried chicken instead.

We were driving down the interstate after a long weekend in universal studios in Orlando and got hungry so we decided to stop in Tallahassee for dinner. I love to eat at local places so I looked up some places in town to eat at. We wanted something quick with a drive thru. We love places like Zaxby's and Guthrie's so this was a no brainier for us. I ordered the original chop with buffalo sauce and a side of black beans. He ordered the chicken box also with buffalo sauce. This place is TINY but don't let that discourage you. We went around to the drive thru and within a couple minutes we had our food and were back on the the road. The black beans taste like my mom made them (which is a great thing) and the chicken fingers were tasty and fresh. Buffalo sauce has a great flavor. Definitely try this place if you're passing through town!!!

First time ordering. Waiting in line was about fifteen minutes. I went home with a giant portion of chicken strips. Would five star if they gave more yummy sauces!

Man do I love this place!!!!!!!!! I always use to get the Meixcan chop with extra wine and cheese which is hands down the best thing you can eat at 2 am but this time I got the buffalo chop per my cousins recommendations and it just kicked the whole experience up like 10 notches. I added sour cream and held the beans and it was like a Mexican chop with buffalo. They've also upgraded the building since the last time I had it so business must be going well! Hats off to Chubby's and their owner because its definitely become a staple and icon now in Tallahassee.

Let me just tell you this, you will not find better fried chicken in Tallahassee. While a Chubby box will do you just fine - if you have time to wait or put the thought into it ahead of time, their chicken wings are the all time best! I love the lemon pepper wings, you can call ahead and pick them up without too much wait.

I am a traveler... and eat at a lot of chicken places. I have found drive theough places actually put their money in their food. Execellent Buffalo Chicken Wrap with yummy fries and a cold root beer. Top it all off with a brownie, less than 10 bucks. Awesome place, awesome deal!

Seriously the best place for drunk food near campus. Nothing beats chicken, rice and toast with some of the best choices of sauce ever. Highly recommend everyone to check out this place even though it looks super divey.

I am obsessed with this place!! I live in Miami but every time I come, I HAVE to stop here. The wine and cheese sauce is AMAZING!! It's a must with the original chop. Love this place.

I love this place. I lived in Tallahassee for 8 years and am sad to report that I did not try this place immediately. Once I did it was #over. Some people complain about the wait. I choose to be more positive about it. I love the wait, because as I waited I salivated more thinking about the oral satisfaction as my taste buds exploded in celebration of being blessed by the best chicken fingers and wine & cheese sauce it has ever tasted. Yes, it's that good. The chicken tenders are always cooked to perfection - never over cooked and always juicy. My favorite sauce is the wine & cheese sauce. My goodness it is soooooooooo good. I would frequent Chubby's sober and drunk. It's always on point and always good. I enjoy the people that work here. They are very....uh....personable. I promise you that once you have their Chicken Fingers, it'll be hard to want any other. I miss Tallahassee, and the next I come to visit, Chubby's Chicken Fingers will be my first stop! B. i recently moved and still dream of chubbys. its crazy good. at least twice a week when coming home from the bar i would have to get a box and extra extra wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce wine and cheese sauce its addictive. i could seriously drink it. gosh i miss this place. and service was always friendly.

Greasy. Yummy. Feel bad about eating but feel good while eating it food. The tenders are perfect after a night of partying. I usually get a Cuban chop during the day and add black beens and guac. Give it a four cuz I have had boxes that weren't that good and the wait is long.

The service is often slow and wrong, always check your order to make sure they didn't get something wrong. The chicken is OK but often stringy/rubbery. I think Guthrie's is a million times better than this place.

This place alone made living in Tallahassee for a year bearable. It does look like an absolute disaster driving by... when my friend pulled in, I thought he was insane. I went back... far too often. Many pounds were gained because of those amazing fried pieces of chicken that dove head first into that creamy tangy ranch sauce. And those fries... oh how I miss those fries. I'm sure the Board of Health will shut this place down at some point. So go now just in case.

I am indeed a "fan" now of Chubby's Chicken Fingers. As the story goes, I was out late one night at Walmart ...I'm talking after midnight ... and a sudden huger came upon me. Well, I jumped on my Yelp app and checked to see what was within 5 miles and open at that late hour. Chubby's! Open 'til 4am?! Yes! So Chubby's isn't much to look at, just a drive-thru-only chicken finger shack on Tennessee Street very near FSU's campus. That probably explains the late hours. But while Chubby may not have a big building, he has a big flavor. The main two meal options that jumped out at me are the chicken finger boxes and the "chop" plates with a mix of chopped chicken fingers, rice, and certain toppings depending on the order. I chose the chicken finger box, which, for under $6.50, came with a heaping (5) portion of chicken fingers, plenty of fries, and your choice of sauces. They don't have anything similar to what is served at Zaxby's and Guthrie's, but there are plenty of other sauces, including several types of BBQ and ranch, etc. I chose the honey BBQ, and it was pretty good. It certainly went well with the chicken. Not sure the sauce was homemade, probably not, but the chicken is definitely had breaded and sooo good! Service was pretty friendly and the wait wasn't actually that bad during my visit. Maybe 8 minutes or so. The bottom line: This is a no frills chicken finger drive through, but absolutely worth the low price and great chicken. I will return soon to try one the chops every raves about on here!

There is no indoor diner nor tables outside, but the food is just delicious. The super hot buffalo sauce is not spicy at all. Would go again, but only in town for tonight.

Late Night special after 11, tender boxes and chops are $4.99 !!! This place is sooooo good! The food makes up for what it's appearance lacks! Dont pass this spot by just because of how it looks, you'll be making the biggest mistake ever!!! Once you try it you'll be hooked, and once you leave Tally you'll miss it ! Plus its open til like 4am, it doesn't get any better than that lol.

This place is kinda scary to go to but sooooooo goooooood. You can get chicken fingers and pick one of their many delicious sauces, and order LOADED french fries with cheese and sour cream and bacon and chives on them. Ugh, I miss this place as far as drunk food is concerned. Only downside is that it always left a weird non-food smell in my car that I could always smell the day after...

Nice little hole in the wall joint for fast food fries and chicken My first time trying it was late night when I had a fast food craving I ordered the the chubby's box which was 4.99 after 11 Really good! I ordered the buffalo Parmesan sauce to top on my tenders Was really good Give it a shot I found it better than Guthries right down the street

I LOVE Chubby's. It's pretty good food for a cheap price. The only thing that I don't like about Chubby's is that the service is super slow. I really love their food and their sauces. There also should be seating somewhere outside. and some parking.

Addictive. Good food at an affordable price - you really can't ask for more. Yea, the location and building isn't the greatest but we're in Tallahassee..what do you expect? Lines can be long in wait because it seems that everything is made when ordered. As for gaining weight, well, it is fried food..again, what do you expect?

When I lived in Tallahassee (5 years), this place accounted for at LEAST 10lbs of my weight. I would always order the Mexican chop. There are days/night they were off, but I still enjoyed it. When I come to visit, I still stop by. If you need a late night spot (and your patient), I would suggest it.
