Great burritos and nachos! The queso is delicious and if you order the diablo sauce be prepared because it is intense!

All I can say is the food is edible and the place is very kept clean. There is nothing special about the place as far as I am concerned. Good portions for you money + starving college student looking for quantity over quality = no longer starving + money leftover for beer. One star for food quality, three for cleanliness.

Since the remodel of the interior I really enjoy going to Bandidos Burritos for lunch. It's a short trip from work and a quick wait time for your food. The amount of food you get for the price is well worth every penny. I am always full when I leave.

Conveniently located between FSU and FAMU, Bandido's offers beef, chicken, or bean burritos and the same options in the form of a taco. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the bean burrito. Very reasonably priced, I had a soda, a large burrito, and chips (w/ side salsa) for $6-something. I was bummed that the beans were apparently of the refried variety. However, I asked for the hot salsa and was not disappointed. Just the right level of heat.

Not really Mexican style but more like what my aunt makes back in Indiana. However, I could eat her burritos until I pass out because I love them so much. Fast and friendly service, too!

Oh Banditos.....you never fail me. I discovered this place one day with a couple of friends after a long day partying at the pool. It looks super sketchy but it is right up the road from my house. inside is quaint and simple. The menu is on a chalkboard and a little overwhelming. The chicken tacos are perfection. but you have to get hot sauce on them to spice things up! usually the meals come with a whole side of chips and their salsa is soooo good. The tomatos are very chunky and it has a lot of flavor. Their nachos are very good as well, they are definitely loaded. Typically, Banditos is known for their burritos which I have yet to try however I do want a t-shirt "We Roll Fatties" is just hysterical. They have very good prices and good happy hour specials for food and beer! This is a good place to come to just hang out with friends and enjoy a good fast meal!

Three crisp tacos and choice of black beans and rice or chips and salsa. I chose black beans and rice. Very nice flavor but not overly seasoned. The tacos were OK but would have prefered more sauce. Try this place at 4:20 for happy hour.

Good Mexican food with cheap prices, hole in the wall. My daughter wanted to bring me here since she frequents often. We met a group of friends. The menu is small with basic taco's, burritos, nacho's, etc....no mixed drinks but they do have beer. Small inside, cashier was friendly you order off a big chalk board and they call your name when ready. I ordered the taco's with shredded chicken and hot sauce. Everything is separate prices. Taco's are $1.59. The food is very good especially for the reasonable prices. My daughter ordered soft shell taco's and when the chef made them he gave her hard shell and when I asked to remake he did cop an attitude. He did not seem very friendly, which is why I lowered it to three stars. I mean heck dude, not my fault you made them wrong. The queso sticks are to die for. Fried queso with salsa dipping sauce. The taco's were awesome and the hot sauce was really really good. Nice flavor, the chicken was tasty, yes they were good. Great place for a quick lunch or cheap dinner. Cool to hang out with friends. Looking forward to checking them out again.

The prices are super fair, and they have unique specials. The food is pretty generic but decent texmex. The atmosphere is very college-town, if you're into that sort of thing, which I'm not, so I usually avoid coming here unless I'm feeling super poor. Try the fried snickers!

Good place, good atmosphere. Interesting crowd. Good food as well. Love the salsa and they have great queso as well. A Tallahassee classic.

The atmosphere is what makes it great. Super chill place. Cheap beer and tacos. Go here with a group of friends, eat some food, play some drinking games, and you're guaranteed to have a good time. No it is not the best Mexican food you will ever have, but I would still choose it over the majority of other Mexican places in Tallahassee.

I'm from California, and let's be real, the Mexican food in Tallahassee can hardly be called Mexican. Or, in some cases, food. However, Bandido's is what I think of as white people Mexican food, in that it has a ton of shredded cheese, and is pretty much a better version of Taco Bell. It is not authentic, but it tastes great, is inexpensive, and is a cool little place to eat.

Banditos has a pretty chill vibe, pretty ok food, and really cheap beer. These three powers combine to make a place worth visiting again and again. Dollar tacos every day from 4:20-7:20pm!!!!!!!!

AWESOME CHEAP MEXICAN FOOD! Dollar tacos from 4:20 (wink wink) to 7:20! Burrito's are great, and they have a great variety of hot sauces! One flaw is their salsa, TOO watery!

STONER STICKS!!!!! If your a first timer, you MUST ask for these. They're like mozzarella sticks but with queso instead of mozzarella cheese and crushed tortilla chips instead of bread crumbs. I try to make it here at least once a week after school. I mean 3 tacos with sour cream and tomatoes and stoner sticks for around $6, now that will keep me away from Taco Bell. They're 4:20-7:20 specials are pretty legit too. $1 hard tacos or mini soft tacos and $1.25 bud lights. However, they don't let you have this deal for take-out (forcing me to ride my bike back home 1 handed, but hey I haven't fell yet!). The burritos definately give you bang for your buck. They taste relatively fresh and weigh at least a half a pound. They don't lie when they say "We roll fatties!" Also, they do fried snickers and milky ways. I was not too partial to them because I felt they doused them with too much cinnamon. And now they have beer on tap. Dos Equis Amber, Miller Lite, Shocktop, Yuenling, and Sweetwater 420! Ah-yes-sa! After writing all of this, I'm heading up there now. Don't forget: STONER STICKS!

I'm not a huge Mexican food guy after living in Kansas City. The Mexican there was truly spectacular. In Tallahassee, however, it's rather meh as a rule. So, I skip reviewing most of the Mexican places I've tried in Tallahassee because I'm just not impressed. At all. On the other hand, we do have Bandido's. I had my reservations at first about this place, but I've really gotten to like their tacos. Especially the faco and the double-barrel. For a place that's functionally at the same price point as Taco Bell, they really blow them out of the water. The food is always fresh and delicious, and I'm generally really happy with how this place works out for me. So if you're looking for good tacos and burritos and you're in Tallahassee, check this place out.

I like the fact you can go between 4:20 and 7:20 and get dollar tacos. However.. every time I've gotten their crunchy beef tacos, the ground beef in the taco tends to be really dry and somewhat flavorless. The chicken tacos, on the other hand, have always been juicy and delicious. I think they might make the ground beef in the morning and let it sit too long. My piece of advice would be stick to the chicken taco's until they fix their ground beef problem.

I might be biased since I ate lunch here every Friday for almost an entire year, but Banditos is perfect if you're in the mood for some delicious but not-so-good-for-you eats. They have the usual of any place like this, burritos, nachos, tacos, but they've also got some other great treats and snack-food like fried queso sticks, fried candy bars (Their weekly happy-hour type special is called '4:20 Friday'; that should give you the gist of the demographic they're going for). As an aside, depending on the day and who makes it, their 'Hot' sauce can have quite a kick (which i perfer), but it seems like they've taken it down a notch recently due to complaints that it was too hot (NEVER I SAY!!!!). Anyway, pretty good food, good specials a few nights a week, and just an all-around nice local spot.

Casual and simple taco/burrito joint on the edge of Collegeland in Southwest Tallahassee. Bandido's is quite near to the stadium and frequented by college kids and locals alike. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, with a comfortable high table and stool set-up (amazingly, nice heavy stools with wide seats for those with wide, uh...seats). The menu is a simple mix of vegetarian/bean, chicken, and steak/beef offerings in the form of burritos, tacos, rice bowls, and quesadillas. Everything but the taco combos (3 tacos, chips & salsa, and a drink) ring in at $5-$6 - so Bandido's is very affordable and has decent portions. A single $2 taco will be enough for a lot of folks. The food tastes good, with many purportedly fresh ingredients. This is a tex-mex type of joint, sort of like a mom & pop Moe's or Chipotle. They have sodas to drink, along with a number of cheap beers on draft, like PBR. The theme of Bandido's, more than anything, appears to be "stoner food." They have a $1 taco happy hour that starts at 4:20 and a "Tuesdaze" special with tacos. The menu also proudly proclaims "WE ROLL FATTIES!" and includes a package deal (think the 10 taco thing at Taco Bell) called a "Munchie Run" All in all this is a pretty cool place, and if I lived in the Lake Bradford area or spent time in Southwest Tallahassee this would certainly be a choice I would keep in mind.

Sunday Brunch is featured here. Sunday brunch is good - so, by extension, Bandido Burritos is good! (Straight up syllogistic logic). Full bar, broad spectrum of hot sauces. Usual suspects on the menu with no surprises. No innovation, just what you'd expect. There's no hiding the 420 theme throughout the restaurant. The mural parallel to Airport Drive is no little hint, and the menu is chockful with the associated references. The burritos live up to the "we roll fatties" line found on t-shirts and other marketing devices. they're good - and likely enough to quell the most rigorous of munchie-attacks. Stoner Sticks and Spliff Amplers continue the theme. Rounding it off is the "Munchie Run" - for $17. it's a good deal for buyer and likely seller - and comes with 15 soft tacos and three orders of chips/salsa. Personal favorites: the Facos. But... - I do have a weakness for fish tacos.

This place has the best nachos in town. I love Mexican food but nachos are really a treat. If your gonna enjoy the calories do it right. I have challenged my friend to a nacho off! They are choosing there favorite place and I will be taking them here. Will update with the outcome! Stay tuned. Now for some comedy. I wanna bed made entirely of these nachos so I may lay around gobbling them for the rest of my days. I want to make lil nacho babies.I make sweet love to there queso and authentically seasoned chicken. I'm considering cutting off all my relationships as to only focus on my love for there nachos. After all everything is nachos!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
