Normally I like hanging out in basements, but that wasn't the case with 228. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for sometime, so when I saw a coupon online, I jumped at the chance. First, the decor is interesting. Very modern and different for Tallahassee. I would normally like this, but the fabric on the seats was incredibly dirty, almost black. And the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in. The visit was disappointing. The menu was pretty boring, I'd say they're trying to hard. I ordered the Marsala. It had a good sauce, but I prefer cutlets and the breast was thick. Risotto was cooked well, but flavor didn't blow me away. It all needed more salt and pepper. Service was well below what I'd expect from a fancy downtown establishment. Waited for several minutes alone upstairs before being approached by a hostess. Our waitress was awkward and slow. Best thing about this place was the music they were playing: some great 40's and 50's jazz. Overall, the experience was okay with the coupon -- but I would never go here and pay full price.

Stopped in twice on the same day back in June while visiting our son and daughter-in-law. I must agree with the other reviewers as far as the state of the downtown area on a Sunday - in most places you could shoot a rifle down the sidewalk and not hit anything!. We remembered Andrew's from a previous visit and sought it out for a quick drink. My wife and I had an Absolut Peppar Bloody Mary and a Mimosa for $6.50 along with some great conversation with the bartender. consequently, when our son indicated he could use some breakfast when we met him later (no matter how old they are, my money spends easier than their money) we thought we would try Andrew's. We had the Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast Burrito and California Salad. Not gourmet but a good solid meal for a reasonable price. Obviously, we had to have another Bloody Mary and Mimosa - my son had water??? All in all, not a bad place and about the only place open on a Sunday in the downtown area.

Not a fan of their waffle fries, they always seem to be over cooked. Ordered the fully loaded steak fries and was surprised to see that they came with jalapenos, even though that wasn't listed on the menu as an ingredient. Should have asked before. Been there for brunch several times before -- that's about the only time I go anymore. Brunch is a little pricey, about $14; menu is a limited but pretty good.

Came for lunch. Sat outside on patio. Super friendly staff. Quick service. & the most amazing Turkey Club sandwich - get this.... Made with REAL TURKEY! Not often you get carved turkey anymore vs nasty deli processed turkey!! Love it!

If you are downtown I would recommend visiting. The food is good and the service is not bad either. During lunch this place gets packed so go early or take a late lunch so you miss the lunch crowds.

After a disappointing lunch, my friend and I wanted a nice dinner. We polled and few people and they said to come to Andrew's. We first walked into the upstairs restaurant which is more casual, but we bailed and went next door. Once we were seated, we knew we had made the right choice. Whatever you do, get the tableside Caesar. Yes, they make it for you at your table and you can customize to your liking - we requested less mustard but more garlic. One bite it and I can definitely say that it was the best Caesar I have ever eaten. The dressing was tangy in a good way and they even make their own croutons. Very happy to start with that. We ordered two of the pizzas from the appetizer/small plates section, along with the lobster risotto. The pizzas were fabulous - thin crust, high quality toppings (we had the meat lovers and the fig/proscuitto) with a good red sauce. But the risotto was a disappointment. Lesson learned. Now we know how to order for the next time.

Another place that needs that 1/2 star - better than three but not quite four. Limited wine list but cheese plate from sweet grass was as good as any I've had in NYC or Chicago! Stuck with small plates and wish more places offered that - very good peppered petite filet but unnecessary goat cheese topping and not great sauce with it. Would have been perfect with better Bernaise... Risotto cake was blah but asparagus perfect and dessert options were nothing terribly interesting so passed on that. Would come back but not a "must" go...

Typical American type restaurant. You will not be disappointed and you will not be amazed either. The amazing aspect comes from people watching and seeing the ins/outs of the government at work. Go here for safe food, but enjoy it for the atmosphere and the education in how our government works.

Lovely service, less than mediocre food. Overlooked veggies and food that could have come from a can. But I was hungry...

We dropped in for their Sunday brunch. Excellent brunch. Everything I had was fresh and tasty. I go straight to the omellette station, then the hot brunch line with eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, french toast. There was more stuff, but I didn't want to stuff myself, full of other...stuff. They have a nice carving station, which I also skipped. Nice salad bar, and some hot items. Of all things, Lasagna. It was also really good. Go for the brunch on any given Sunday.

Excellent food and service. Perfect date night restaurant. We can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

This was a stumbled upon restaurant by my friend and I, after finding Jasmine's to be closed. It was Sunday lunch, and the crowd was not overbearing. They offer a brunch buffet on Sundays, and their menu is also cut down to brunch only. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito, and it was very good. It was stuffed full with sausage, hashbrowns, tomatoes, onions, peppers, eggs, and press-grilled for a crusty finish. The meat and eggs and peppers blended really well. It was served with the typical salsa and sour cream. You get the choice of two sides, and I ordered grits and sausage. The sausage was horrible. Depressing. I was expecting a nice, spiced patty to accent the grits; instead I was given a bowl of four links tantamount to ones found in Jimmy Dean frozen bags at Walmart. The grits were the saving grace. Some of the best, creamiest grits I've ever had. I highly recommend them. I wasn't blown away by this place, though the burrito and grits were good. I had to ask for the sour cream and salsa, and only ended up getting the salsa. It's a bit pricy too: $11 for the burrito, which could have been bigger to fill the stomach, and $14 for the buffet (the sole reason I didn't chose it).

I'm really not impressed by Andrew's 228. It's a really tight space, you have to sit awkwardly close to other diners. The hostesses are borderline rude which is never a great way to start your experience. The food is a little bit pricy and not that great- just bland Italian food. Overall forgettable.

I think this place is kinda overpriced for what it is, but it is okay for happy hour. The food is just standard American fare. Drinks are an okay deal, but appetizers are still pretty pricey during HH. I kind of like 101 better for downtown because at least it feels kinda fancy for the price!

I think I've better breakfast at shitty roach motels than I did here. Went there for Sunday brunch buffet before Christmas. There weren't too many people around and that was a sign. We should've bolted, but we didn't have time and a friend had recommended it. Where to even start? Most everything on the spread looked old, crusted and very un-appetizing in general. The worst though has to be the hash browns. Sad, old looking potatoes literally swimming in a pool of oil. And the oil must have been rancid because the potatoes had the rancid, near bitter taste to them. Our omelettes were the only things that were edible and even that was a bit overcooked. The less said about the "French toasts" that had gotten stuck to the dish, the better. Eek! How difficult is it to cut up fresh fruits? The fruits looked rotten and old, all shriveled up and slimey. I don't know if this was just our bad luck, but I would recommend people to stay far, far away from this place. For almost $40 for two for brunch, this is one of the worst meals (let alone brunch/breakfast) of my life and an expensive one at that.

A little better than 101 because their food is tastier. Serivce is uninformed about taking care of customers. waited way to long for our food, and then was told to "Give me your money" from our server when it came time to pay. Similar to 101 but still a disaster!

Good place! I was there for a business dinner and my associates were from overseas. There is a decent upscale menu; the filet I had was very good. It's a little pricey, as should be expected for a place like this, especially with the intimate, modern ambiance. I always order mine medium rare, and it came out just as I'd asked. Good thing, because when you order a $29 steak, you want to get your money's worth. The presentation was very nice. Service was fine.

This place is different. It's hard not to feel the airs of the capital when politicians are in and out along with Capital police (and it's hard to tel who they are if you haven;t worked in the capital.) I've had interest conversations with ambassador from other countries to small city majors. I think this is just a place to be seen and waste your money because the food is just above decent. So if you're coming just for the food, save your money and do take out from some of the many downtown shops. But if you have some time to wait on a table (which can take time), sit down and people watch.

I have been to Andrew's a few times. My most recent visit was for my birthday yesterday. I went with about 10 colleagues from work and we had a good time relaxing outside under the giant Magnolia tree. We sat outside so some of the group could bring their dogs, which they did. The drinks were good and they have a good selection of craft and mass production beer. A little something for everyone. The prices are reasonable and the appetizers were delicious but our server was not very attentive. All in all, a decent experience for a large group.

I thought this place would be decent. But then I realized it has a captive audience and there aren't too many choices in the area. It was a beautiful spring day in Tally with temperatures hovering around eighty. Humidity was low and the breeze was perfect. We decided to sit outside. The place looks like it might be good but I was disappointed immediately when my menu came and it was a cheesy looking laminated card with typical menu items. Then the table next to us was served and their plates looked pretty mediocre. I ordered a burger while my tablemates ordered some chicken caesar salad thing. I'll keep this short. Not good. I wouldn't say it was entirely bad. They did have Guinness on tap but no Bass so a black-and-tan was out of the question. Why bar managers decide to carry Guinness on tap without an accompanying pale ale is beyond me. Service was okay. Very impersonal and it took awhile for us to be noticed as it was seat yourself mode in the middle of the afternoon. If you're in the area and you have no other choices, I guess this place will do. Oh yeah, they have a lunch salad bar buffet thing that looked...well...predictably mediocre too.

3.5 stars. This is probably the first review that I have rated a restaurant above its average Yelp rating. Went there cos we bot a Groupon. Since Andrew averages only 3 stars on Yelp, we went with low expectations. However, I have to say it is not bad! We like it better than Clusters and Hops. We ordered 3 appetizers - lamb chops, mussels and pizza. Liked the lamb chops cos i am totally a lamb person. Wish it was a little more charred tho. Mussels were not freshest i have tasted but it was ok. Sauce definitely was better than the mussels. For the price, the portion was rather big! Pizza is a crispy thin crust with good toppings. It's more like a "cracker" than a pizza but it was still good! So the meal started of rather well! Oh, the flirtini was delish too! :) Then the mains was a disappointment. We ordered grouper. It was overcooked and not too well flavored. I liked the risotto that came with the fish better tho my hub tot it was rather bland. Too full for desserts but maybe we will pay Andrews another visit to find out! But i am on a mission to try out all "top" Tallahassee's fine dining restaurants before i leave in a month so there may not be another time! :/

Remember... This is a college town restaurant with a diverse menu. The best seafood gumbo in the I've had in the states (La Bastide Odeon in Paris France is #1). It is respectably hot, and I can eat some hardcore spicy gumbo. A must try.

I went to Andrew's for lunch outside with a couple of friends. It was during the legislative session so it was very busy, but our server handled it well. I ordered the Admiral clicken club sandwich, and it was really good. The fries were a little on the greasy side, so I didn't have many of those. The outside area is very spacious and offers some shade if you sit in the right spot. It's a little tricky when it's crowded because the tables are a little close together, but it works fine. The inside is very sports-bar, but I really like dining outside. All in all, Andrews is a solid place for lunch (or dinner) when you're downtown.

For an interesting atmosphere, high quality food, and great wine, you'll want to try Andrew's 228. I am very pleased with the Chilean Sea Bass, and the people I was with ordered the bone in prime rib. They loved what they ordered, and my dish was great. The wine selection we very nice. I was able to have a very enjoyable, and professional dinner meeting at this place. I will surely return to this place!

Its an institution and over the years the owner has been very clever at zoning into what people want and will keep coming back for. Having said that the food and drink are just average. The outdoor setting and location is very nice and very good for seeing and being seen at the capital.

Our poor waiter was straight-up an airhead; when asked what he preferred between a particular chicken and a particular lamb dish, to paraphrase his response: "Well the chicken dish is... chicken, and the lamb dish is lamb so it really just depends on if you like chicken or lamb." He wasn't even being facetious. Other than that, our meal wasn't too memorable. The cocktails were decent, the app (a gorgonzola cheesecake) was tasty, and my grouper was well-cooked but bland and uninteresting enough that it could have been served on a tray in a nursing home. I would maybe go here for drinks but at the price I wouldn't eat here again.

A local favorite on Adams in the heart of downtown by the Capital. Nice atmosphere inside or on the patio. We sat outside for lunch and enjoyed excellent service, fantastic food and a breeze. The portions were very large. We tried a blue burger and a signature sandwich -both were outstanding. The waffle sweet potato fries were crisp, tasty and definitely recommended. This is a wonderful break for lunch or happy hour. Will make this a new regular lunch spot for Tallahassee trips.

I wish I could give Andrew's 4 stars. We really enjoyed our food. I had Penne with Vodka Sauce and my husband had the Gorganzola burger. However, we went on New Year's Eve and while the staff seemed to handle the crowd well, our food somehow got "lost" and it took almost an hour to come out, and since we wanted to get to the concert, we didn't get to walk around downtown like I'd hoped. The only thing our waiter did was add some shrimp to my Penne without asking, which seems crazy to me. Luckily I like shrimp, but I could easily be allergic or just not like it at all. We don't like asking for free things, but we would have appreciated if he'd offer our sodas free or SOMETHING. So, we left a measly tip and felt bad, but an hour was ridiculous. I recommend visiting, but be prepared to stand your ground if they're slow.

For some reason I hadn't been here in like 3 years. I guess when I get home I don't think about going downtown for dinner. The food was quite good. Our table had the lamb chops, beet salad, salmon and grouper piccata. We passed the plates around and I think the lamb chops won. The risotto that accompanied the grouper was not properly cooked and the salmon was a tad over-seasoned, but all told, not bad. Our waiter was just okay. He was a tad surly and not Johnny on the spot when we needed him. I find the decor in this place to be just ghastly...mustard and purple and burgundy- awful color scheme. But, whatever, it's a nice place for a change.

Andrew's 228 helped me coordinate my son's Graduation Celebration Dinner for a group of 18. We were assigned a very competent and professional event coordinator right away who organized everything from assisting us in choosing the menu selections and preparing a custom (& personalized) menu... to selecting a perfect spot in the restaurant to allow our group an intimate but comfortable setting. The staff was expertly prepared, courteous and prompt; and the food was absolutely incredible! Everyone in our party raved about their dinner and the whole experience. We are beyond pleased and will definitely visit this restaurant again!!

Literally the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. My wife and I both waited tables in college, so we are not ignorant to the way a restaurant works nor are we overly demanding on servers. We came here on a double date. Our food was very late in coming out. When the server walked by, we asked him about it politely. This was the first interaction we'd had with him since he delivered our drinks and taken our orders. I wasn't keeping a stop watch, but it had probably been over 40 minutes. I have had this happen to me as a server when the kitchen backs up during peak hours, and I would always just assure the customer that I would check on it and then I would go back and make sure the order hadn't gotten lost. Our server immediately threw his hands up (literally) and said bluntly that he doesn't control what goes on in the kitchen. Of course anyone with an IQ over 80 knows that the server doesn't cook the food. But the order could have gotten misplaced, or the food could be sitting on the counter waiting for him to deliver it, or it could have been taken to the wrong table, or any other number of things. About two minutes later, without us requesting it, the manager comes over to us and asks if there is a problem. So we told him that we know its Friday night and the kitchen may be backed up, but we politely asked our waiter to check on our order and the waiter responded by telling us he doesn't control the kitchen. The manager responds by saying he will give us a discount, and quickly walks away without requesting clarification or asking for any further input. I wanted to tell him that I don't want a discount I just wanted him to know that he has a server who could use some coaching, but I didn't get a chance to before the manager was gone. Literally a 30 second interaction before he was walking away mid sentence. So we get our bill and $4 worth of softdrinks are discounted. I am a 31 year old man and this is the only time in my life I have complained about a server to a manager. On top of the extremely poor staff and management, the food is unremarkable. Lots of better places to go in Tallahassee.

Why 4 stars? Because the brunch buffet was bangin'! --- --- --- I tried some alliteration there. Are you overwhelmed? There was a line out the door on a Sunday morning during a home football game weekend. It's understandable that there was a huge influx of people into Tallahassee, so I don't blame Andrew's for this. The line moved along at a decent pace. Everything was good, but Andrew's has the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Oh yes, it's a whole 'nother level of good. The carving station was great as well. The fresh fruit and desserts were a great compliment to everything else that we had already stuffed our faces with. I was very tempted to order the Monte Cristo, but I'm glad I stuck with the buffet. You definitely have to check out Sunday brunch if you're in Tallahassee.

This is a great restaurant that is right in the shadow of the Capitol Building. This is an upscale casual restaurant with a nice menu of burgers, sandwiches, and some more sophisticated dinner items. Everything seems fresh. Salad dressings are home-made. Nice quality food. I had the shrimp ravioli, which was great. The marinara sauce was homemade, and the whole dish very tasty. I also had a house salad with the "chili ranch" dressing that was also very good -- ranch with a little kick! The restaurant has a nice, casual atmosphere with some local flavor. There is also plenty of outdoor seating. Service was very good as well. However, the meals took a bit longer than they should have. The server recognized that and offered us a free desert without any prompting or complaining from us. That is nice customer service. I will definitely eat here again when I return to Tallahassee.

The service was absolutely horrendous! The waiter forgot water, bread and our salads. The food was mediocre. The best food item was the chicken fried pork chop. Everything else has a very bland taste. The wine list is barely acceptable. Please re train your service staff so we all don't have to suffer.

  • Kristi S.

The service here is excellent for starters. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. Best Bloody Mary I've had in a long time. The real gem here is the food. We had the straws and bottle caps appetizer. The tempura batter was perfect and they were fried up nice and crispy with just the right amount of heat. I'm vegetarian and was impressed with all the veg friendly options laid out in their own menu section. There are so many delicious sounding options I had a hard time choosing but finally settled on the falafel burger with sweet potato waffle fries. I'm glad I did! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like I like them. The falafel burger was a treat too. Served on naan bread with a great slightly spicy sauce. My friend had the tallahassee sassy burger and was just as pleased as I was.

1hour and 15 minutes. The amount of time it takes to fly the 550 miles between Orlando and Atlanta. Coincidentally, the amount of time it takes to get your entrees at this place- without any acknowledgement from the server or management. Enough said- nothing else matters.

I found Andrew's to be a pleasant surprise. A recent work trip included a block party on Adams St right in front of Andrew's. For whatever reason, despite all of the people nearby, they had a bunch of open tables so my boss and I stopped to get dinner. The menu was huge with lots of different options. We started off with the dip trip (queso, salsa, and their spinach and cheese dip with tortilla chips). I liked all three dips (the queso was easily my favorite but the others were good, too) and the serving size wasn't crazy. I went with the Santa Fe Chicken salad. I got the smaller size, figuring that with an appetizer it would be plenty. When it came out I was kind of surprised because it looked so tiny (it was around $10) but it ended up being plenty of food. It had a ton of stuff on it (beans, cheese, tomatoes, onions, corn, tortilla strips, chicken, etc) and came with a ranch-y dressing and guacamole. I found it to be very filling and the perfect size for a hearty dinner. Our server was very attentive and friendly. When my boss was torn between a salad with salmon and one with tuna, she let her know that the salmon is farm raised and the tuna is sushi grade (not a shocker, she went with the sushi). When we first walked in and the restaurant was half empty despite all of the people outside I was a little concerned but the experience ended up being a nice one.

I chose this place because it's close to the Historic Capitol Museum, and the outdoor seating area looked pleasant (and tranquil on a weekend). I ordered a margarita and a Greek chicken wrap with fries (total cost $15 including tax). The margarita was perfect (and large). The Greek chicken wrap was delicious. The service was friendly and reasonably fast. I can't ask for anything more.

First time here and I shared the pulled pork quesadillas and wow....just wow! Then on to the seared tuna salad it was amazing as well! The service was fast....but then again it was pretty empty and it was 4o'clock on a Monday afternoon during summer. But I will definitely be back!

Located downtown, I really liked the vibe of this restaurant. Picture urban as urban can get in Tally. Sports bar with TV's, comfy booths and tables, fairly large dining area with a great outside area as well. My daughter and I came here for an early dinner and they had happy hour with a few dollars off wine and specials on beer and cocktails. Our waitress was new and you could tell, poor thing was so nervous but she was a doll and was great. We started with some wine and spinach dip which was ever so good. It had the best spiciness to it. I would go back just for this. Heavenly! As we looked over the fairly large menu my daughter noticed they no longer had the cheese steak on the menu. She was devastated because that is why she wanted to come here. She asked the waitress if they still had it. She went off asked the chef and he said no problem he could make it. We both got our cheese steak with fries. It was on a fresh hoagie roll, thinly sliced steak, onions, and plenty cheese with fries on the side. We both enjoyed our sandwich and fries very much. We sat talking, enjoying our time and was quite comfortable with our food, drinks and server. Food is better than a sports bar, casual fun place, prices are reasonable. Yes I would go back, really enjoyed it. And I hear brunch is good on Sunday, must check it out next time.

The food was good and the service was great, but the prices were a little high for what you get. I'm also not a fan of TVs in restaurants, but you take what you can get. I liked their selection of microbrews. I'm not a beer fan, per se, but I appreciate a well-crafted brew. I tried the Oyster City brown ale from Apalachicola for 7 bucks, and it was well worth it. I went with the Pittsburgh Pastrami sandwich. You can get the fries on the side rather than on the sandwich. I'm not from Pittsburgh, so I like my fries on the side, thank you. Like I wrote earlier, nothing wrong with the food, but nothing was spectacular either. It was simply a good, solid pastrami sandwich. The portion size filled me up and then some. My wife had the Greek salad. She liked it, picked all the "good stuff" out and still had a mound of lettuce on her plate when she was done. I was impressed with our servers. Both seemed well informed about their menu and options, and I had a delightful conversation about beer with one of them. The food came out quickly and everything was correct and at the right temperature. I suspect if Andrews was closer to FSU or FAMU than the capital the pricing would be more reasonable, say about 20% lower. Still, a good place to eat in Tallahassee.

Meh. This place is only good for wanting to be seen and for having mediocre, overpriced food. Today I went to lunch and had the most clueless server imaginable taking care of me. I had to repeat my order to him at least three times and point it out to him on the menu and guess what? It was still wrong when it came out. The service was just really poor and honestly probably one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. I asked for the Cris a Fill You up burger with a turkey patty, add bacon and onions and the burger came without onions. It also came with a bun which I requested to leave off so I basically just wasted food for no reason. Not only was the order wrong, but it took FOREVER to get our check taken away. We were a little peeved since we were sitting outside and it started to rain and our server disappeared. We had to actually go inside and find him to pay the bill. What kind of server willingly leaves their table clueless and alone while there is thunder and lightning outside? Plus none of his coworkers could find him so we could pay our bill. I would pretty much never recommend this place to anybody. Food is okay but too expensive. The only reason Andrew's gets two stars is for its location.

Came here for lunch. Sat at the bar. Service was good like any other bar. The food I ordered was def unacceptable . Ordered the Pittsburgh pastrami. It was cooked till it was burnt. Couldnt chew the food. Guessing you can have different experiences depending on whos cooking. They did have kona big wave on tap. Reason for 2 stars not 1 star. If I burnt something I prob wouldn't serve it or at least recook it if I had the supplies...

I've had dinner here several times and enjoyed it each visit, but Sunday was my first time at the brunch buffet. Solid selection of breakfast foods, plus a meat carving station, assorted fruits, pasta, bread, etc. One praiseworthy aspect of our meal was that, for $3, you got a sizeable and freshly poured mimosa that still had prominent bubble action. Lots of brunch places discount their mimosas but prepour them and the champagne goes flat and it's awful. Andrew's does it right and I really appreciate it.

Monday evening celebrating our anniversary . I entered Andy's place about 10 minutes before our 6:00 reservation time. You would have thought that I committed a faux Paz! The hostess just said have a seat while we get your table ready. Another couple entered having parked themselves in a valet parking space because they could not find the valet. They wanted to know if their car would be Ok. Hostess had a deer in the headlights look. Another two couples arrived. Some person said that it was at the chef's request that people are not seated before 6. I could have been sipping some wine- which was MY internet. But, let's not mess with the chef. It used to be you could come to Andrews Second Act and Andy would be walking around. This would have been a good night for that. I overheard one couple say that they were there for their wedding 28 years ago and had been coming back every year since. Come to think of it, so did we! After having to wait, then everyone herded downstairs at once, we were ready for our dining experience to begin. I passed on the appetizers and ordered wine that I wanted to savor. I will say, the plates are beautifully presented. Hubby ordered the pork chop with potatoes and asparagus. The pork chop was easily 1.5 inches thick and lightly dusted and pan sautéed. It has a nice little crunch and wonderful flavor. His asparagus was tender and grilled just right. I ordered the salmon filet with I am not sure of the sauce. What I thought were crispy shallots or onions on the top were probably mushrooms. It came with a side of collard greens and risotto. Now, from the Cafe on 5th avenue in Crystal River, I had something to compare this risotto to. Sorry Andy, but while waiting, the chef should have kept stirring his risotto. It was lumpy, dry and undercooked. The generous sauce on the salmon did nothing for it. I know collard greens and these had a tad too much vinegar Pepper sauce and they were tough. Depending on the age of the green, sometimes you can get away with a mild sauté. Not this time. We passed on deserts even though I'm sure they were awesome. Now, I was there on a buy one entrée get one free. If it had not been for that, the place would have been overpriced. Again, I am judging on a similar upscale restaurant I was at two days before in another city. It would create more good will if Andy Reese were to come around and say hello to the patrons that remember his old place and that come to relive special moments. Train your hostess to smile and greet customers warmly. My waitress was wonderful but not all looked happy to be serving customers. The restaurant was not that busy that you can't make a big deal our of a repeat customer of 28 years. I too was that customer - I just didn't announce it.

Five stars for some of the best tasting buffalo wings I've ever had. I travel a lot and am kind of a wing snob, and these hit on every level. I always go for traditional "hot" buffalo style. And the home made sauce was so good I could eat it by the spoonful. And the housemade mustard vinaigrette on the salad was amazing too. This chef has a great palate for zesty stuff. Will make this a regular stop whenever I roll through Tallahassee.

I have to say that the haight ashbury sandwich was awesome. I would get the bread with no butter next time but it was really good. Service at the bar has been good and not sure if it is because it is absolutely dead in here at 7pm on a wed.

Went for an evening dinner on a Monday night. Great outdoor location. Not very busy. Waitresses were college girls. So a little air heady and not to attentive. They brought me the wrong order, but it was close enough, sandwich instead of a salad. Food was good. I guess the prob with getting older and having means u get use to a certain standard. In my twenties I'd have given it a 4, but now a low 3.

The food was good and everything was pretty equal in price. Our server Sam was very friendly. I had the Chinese chicken wrap and my friend had the lunch buffet. Seems like a good place to try again.

Typical grill fare with happy hour 4-7pm which includes drinks and $2 off appetizers. High on prices but good service. Not my favorite selection of draft beers but they have a full bar. With the nice weather, the outdoor seating is great (as long as you are not seated downwind of smokers).

The atmosphere was very fancy, I felt a little underdressed but our waitress was so nice and welcoming I felt like I could be wearing shorts and a t-shirt and fit right in. We had the cheese plate and escargots as a starter and I was a definite fan. For entrees they were very understanding we had a picky eater in our midst and altered a pasta recipe. The grouper, salmon, and beet salad were also ordered and everything was well paired, and well seasoned. The cocktail list was full of different fun combinations. Our waitress made the evenings, especially because she put up with my fathers "dad" jokes all evening. On the list of restaurants to return to!

I came here for lunch with a friend who said he loved the place so I decided to try it out. The sandwich I got was so good but the service was just mediocre, but I think that might have been because it was pretty busy in there. I would like to give it another try since the good was so good. Only really bad thing is the parking.
