I used to love this place, I'd come here every sunday and Thursday , I'd usually order schnitzel, but they recently hired a new cook and the quality of the food is now a disaster. Ironically I spoke to a friend who lives around the corner and she also said that their new cook has been really bad for the past couple weeks (before that it was fine) recommend not going on thurs and sunday unless you want salty gross chicken

This is a nice, classy place overall. I had dinner with a large group here recently and everybody seemed to enjoy the experience. You can park on the street out front or in a lot behind a shopping center just across the street, which is metered, but has more spaces available. The restaurant is on the small side but we had enough room. The atmosphere was great! Very sophisticated and intimate; it was somewhat noisy between the music from the bar and every table's conversations, but not unreasonable. The food was very good. I ordered the chicken noodle soup as an appetizer (it was decent), and the 16 oz. prime boneless rib eye steak (delicious) with a side of fries and steamed vegetables. For dessert, I had the chocolate lava cake which was equally as good. I would rate this restaurant five stars, but knocked one off because of the mediocre service. While the waitstaff was friendly, they were very inattentive and it look a long time to have each course served. I think we waited 45 minutes from ordering our entrees to receiving them and at least 25 minutes before we got our desserts. The waitress that had taken our orders at first seemed to forget about us, only checking if we needed anything once or twice, and we basically had multiple people coming by. It was very busy so I'm thinking they were overwhelmed, but still. That said: I had never been here before our group dinner and generally we all had a great time. Check it out!

Excellent kosher restaurant! Very nice place as well. We had steak, grilled chicken and hamburger.. One of the best burger I ever had. Salads were very good too. Will come back and try some more!

The food is fair to average. This place is essentially a transplantation of the old Harbor Grill just up the street. I guess that they wore their reputation thin at the old location and figured by moving down the street a bit all would be forgotten. The same steaks more or less, the same, the same. Even the same cranky Frenchman running the place, right Jean Marc? The word on the street is that they are cheating their employees too so take a close look at that hair you might find in the soup. In the end, if you keep kosher there are better places.

Food was good. Service was good. We sat outside however & it was very noisy (car alarm kept going off).

They should improve their telephone etiquette .. It seems to speak with a telegraphic service and the guy answering the phone should learn at least to say bye before closing in your face twice!!! Hopefully when I will be able to have time on the phone to speak with them I will be able to reserve a table and tell everybody if the good and service inside the restaurant is better the the phone availability and courtesy !!!!

First thins first.... The place is really nicely decorated, upscale, elegant and it makes you feel fancy. Service was good, the waiter was very friendly, fast and knowledgable. Now the important stuff... food... and price: First of all, this is a glatt kosher meat restaurant, this automatically raises the price by more than a few notches. Then again, this is a glatt kosher meat restaurant, this means the steak is either going to be EXCELLENT or is going to be as bad as chewing salty rubber. Kosh is in the excellent category. I ordered a "reserve" steak which is kind of the center part of the filet mignon (as explained by the waiter). I got in my plate a large (by kosher standards, it was very large) steak which was tender and juicy. Unfortunately it is so lean, that it didn't have a bit more flavor like a skirt steak but it was still good. Came together with some potatoes and a veggie mix - all good. My wife had 2 appetizers, 4 sliders which were really good and some "vaca frita" tapas. A bit too lemon-ish for my taste but they were kind of original... good to see in a glatt kosher place. Now, 1 entree, 2 appetizers and a glass of wine with $105 was a bit steep, but for a glatt kosher steak house is what I was expecting to pay. Regardless, for the price, they could have offered some fancy bread and a creative parve garlic margarine or something but they didn't. I will go back probably, to try a few more items but I'll stick to some of my other favorite glatt kosher steakhouses for a while.

I came in earlier this week and had the peppered tuna steak. It was decent. My co worker had the filet mignon and let me try it and it was delicious. So next time, I'll be doing steak. Overall nice setting, service was OK.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant last night. We had eaten here originally when It opened two years ago and thought it was pretty good. Last night was excellent. Not only was it the best service we've had in any of the kosher restaurants in Bal harbour, but the food was phenomenal. My wife had the chicken with capers and I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly. We had started with some sushi rolls that were great and this plantain with shredded beef appetizer. Dessert we had The molten lava chocolate cake.

One word- disappointing. In fact, one of the most disappointing I've ever had. My new husband and I decided to treat ourselves on our honeymoon, at a fancier restaurant; Kosh seemed like a good way to go. The ambiance was great and our waitress was lovely, but the food was just so horribly disappointing. For such expensive prices, we expected large portions but they were tiny! One small chicken breast for 30 dollars! and a tiny Strip steak for 42! His chicken tasted like it had been soaking in lemon for an hour and my steak was bland. Nothing to write home about at all. Even worse, the sautéed veggies I got smelled and tasted completely spoiled! The couple of bites I had left a bitter taste in my mouth for hours. We tried to eat our meal, and while my husband did finish his chicken (in all of three bites), I couldn't stomach mine. The manager was profusely apologetic and sympathetic when we complained to her, but she couldn't offer more than a tiny discount on a still whopping bill, to compensate for our troubles. Nice people, but would never go again and would not recommend.

I never usually write reviews, but I took my Gram here for her 88th bday with the fam. Everything was fantastic from the service, to the sushi, to the wine list, to the decor. I ordered the Tuna Tar Tar which was easily one of the best I've ever had. My sis ordered a special roll of Tuna wrapped in cucumber which was ah-may-zing, mom got some roll and salad that were both bomb, gram got wild rice with lamb. She loved it. Uncle Mickey got steak and he loved it. We all shared the sweet potato fries which weren't the best ever but like they were good. I definitely recommend this place for any Glatt Kosher family! Thanks Kosh!

worst service ever - we had a table of 10 people, waiter was very unprofessional, we asked for drinks, never got them, had to remind him a few times. same thing with condiments and sauces - had to remind him a few times. main courses came in after 45 min wait. two people didnt get their food. some dishes came with wrong sides and with no sauces. we asked a few times and had to wait for 20 minutes to get anything after we walked into the kitchen ourselves. when time came to pay they charged all the cards wrong and it took about 30 min to receive the receipts to sign on. for the prices they charge this is the absolute worst experience. we eat their a lot because we keep kosher but after this experience i would never step there again.

This place is a pretentious mess. It's overpriced considering the unsatisfactory service and the lazily prepared food. They have one waiter whose only responsibility is to pass out bread and he never even looked my way. I ordered the burger and after I was about halfway through with it, I saw that the center was completely raw. Not rare. Raw. I showed it to the manager and instead of apologizing, he asks me "Why did you wait until now to show me this?" He said this in a very rude and accusatory tone, implying that I was trying to cheat him out of paying for it. Do yourself a favor and avoid Kosh.

I have eaten at Kosh several times now, and it is consistently amazing. The usuzukuri is delicious, as is everything on the sushi menu. The pan seared salmon was also fantastic. A must-visit spot in Surfside.
