If you're looking for exceptional service and an unforgettable meal, look no further. Tucked into the corner of a strip mall on Sunset you would never even know such a gem exists in this neck of the woods. I have been coming here for about 12 years and I have NEVER once had a bad or even mediocre meal. I have had my sons Baptism lunch here and my daughters first communion and they were phenomenal! Everyone raved about it. Their menu has been the same for a long time but they have daily specials which the waiters go over with a lot of detail. I am a big fan of their set menu though. You can find the classics like linguine a la vongole (excellent) lamb and filet mignon. I like to think of this food as Italian with a hint of Latin flavor. They pair many of the dishes with guava, chocolate and Demi glacé sauces. The Latin flair can be seen in the use of plantain chips. They have a great wine selection as well. Service is always top notch! The waiters have been there for ever which is a good sign. They are not over worked and seem to enjoy their job as they out so much pride into pleasing the clients. Try it! You will never regret it!

2.5 Not a bad place, but wasn't too blown away by this place either. The menu is extremely small. The waiter rattled off more specials that seemed like were longer than the regular menu. Kind of odd. I thought the food was of average to good quality. Prices I thought were high for the area. The bread was just ok (not homemade) and I tried a drink that was weak. Not sure I'd recommend or return.

If you're under the age of 40, have any culinary or service industry experience, please read my honest review. Miami is an amazing place for culinary arts, there are so many fantastic restaurants to choose from, this place is not one of them. I am new to the Kendall area, transitioning from my apartment lifestyle in Midtown and I had hoped to find a suburb neighborhood gem in Caffe Di Notte. We called ahead and thank goodness we had, it was packed with couples, none of which were under 45. Older demographics prefer less flavorful food and this restaurant has catered perfectly to their crowd. The server brought us two glasses of house chianti and we started with the seared scallops for an app. Served with a strawberry and mango sauce, all three scallops were overcooked and not very fresh. Stringy and rubbery are two adjectives you don't ever want with seafood. Main dishes were brought our very quickly, $23 lobster ravioli and the $30 rack of lamb. I wanted to include the pricing because when you start to go above the $20 threshold on dishes, you should expect to be impressed. The raviolis themselves were very thick and chewy. Ravioli pasta should have a texture similar to that of a soft cotton bed sheet wrapping the stuffing, this was more like a winter comforter. The lamb was cooked well but there was NO FLAVOR. Served with over steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes and a bland mint jelly puree, I couldn't recall one single bite of this dish. Dessert was somewhat redeeming, coconut cheesecake was very lovely. Hate to sound like snob but for these prices, I will drive the extra 20 minutes to other parts of town for good Italian. TL;DR : Older crowd, decent décor and attentive service. No flavor and poor execution on all dishes, should expect more for these prices!!!

This place is my all time favorite. The service and the food is exceptional. I've been here many times and always the best

Did the executive lunch and was so impressed! Great and quick service...I'm always in a hurry at lunchtime. The bread was warm and served with a cream cheese mixed with olive, sesame and Parmesan. The salad was great to start. It was super cold and the dressing was made with sesame, which I love! My entree was the fish special. It was a white fish stuffed with crab meat and topped with lobster bisque sauce. The fish was served over a bed of champagne risotto. The risotto was creamy and delicious! To end, I had the coconut flan. They could add more coconut flavor to the flan, but it was still good. Not gelatinous at all. Would love to come back!

I have been here twice for the Executive Lunch. The food is quite good and prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and courteous. I did not like their salad. It appeared wilted, and did not like the house dressing either. This is an area that needs improvement.

Who says you need to go into Downtown, the Gables or the design district for some good classy food? Unfortunately alot of people will migrate towards those areas when they want to go out. There is nothing wrong with that but give your local areas a shot too. That is what we did last saturday night. Yelp helped us find this little italian place in Kendall. Thank you Yelp! Pasta was on the mind, soooo where do you go. So many choices around town but it is always nice to try something new and local and not overpriced. That tends to play a role now in the food selection since Miami has become such an overpriced town for food. I do not mind throwing down when it is worth it and i am not just paying your rent. Lets get to the food! The menu was good but the specials were even better! One review said that the specials will get you everytime. They did! A stuff Ravioli with omg awesomeness! Bleu cheese and pear filled ravioli in a sage, spinach and amaretto sauce topped with sauteed shrimp! D E L I C I O U S!!! oh yeah and a ceasar salad. The staff was so helpful and attententive we didnt want to leave...but we had to...lol untill the next one! Date night here we come.

The best food I had during my two weeks stay in Miami. Service was phenomenal. Malanga soup - extraordinary. Short rib and champagne infused risotto was to die for. Even the lava cake was esquisite. I will be returning once more before leaving. And plan to return again on my next trip.

Excellent service and a fantastic dining experience. I had the fried mozzarella for an appetizer which was amazing. For my entree, I had the black cod and I must say, it was more than delicious. I would visit here again and again because my experience was nothing short of bliss.

Been here twice. Both times we have received excellent service. Food is really good. The short rib cake is to die for, creamy and succulent. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the sauce they put on it is a sin...definitely recommend to anyone wanting a warm, inviting and small restaurant where they will remember your name.

First time here and it was excellent. Service from the staff was excellent. They were very attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. The ambiance is good. Paintings all over the wall. As an appetizer I had the Risotto cake stuffed with shrimp, raisins and mozzarella cheese. It was outstanding. My entree was the Ostrich with spinach risotto. The ostrich was perfectly done and the risotto was creamy. Overall excellent dish. Dessert included a coconut cheesecake with strawberry sauce. The cheesecake was rich and tasty. If you haven't been here, make a trip to the place.e Don't be fooled because it is located in a strip mall. Hell, everything in Miami seems to be in a strip mall.

Hidden gem! Do not order from the menu, order one of the specials of the day which is extensive. The Short Rib with the champagne risotto is my all time favorite. Save some space, the desserts are amazing.

  • Tessie B.

Amazing restaurant in a strip mall! Definitely order off their infinite "specials of the day" menu - you will not be disappointed with anything that you order. My husband and I really like to enjoy the entire process of dinner...I gave this place 4 stars because everything was so fast and rushed. I wished they would be just a little slower so we could enjoy the process.

  • Aida A.

The restaurant is small. It is located in a shopping center. Nice with a romantic ambiance. The walls are decorated with beautiful paintings that are for sale. The food was OK, but a little pricey for the location. They have many choices from the specials to choose from. Didn't have a chance to look at the menu. I ordered the salmon which was served in a honey sauce, it came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The salmon was OK, but the mashed potatoes were a very small serving and at room temperature. They have a large selection of wines and a full bar. The service was great, friendly and helpful staff.

We have been regulars at this restaurant for years. The food is amazing and we are treated like family. I recommend waiting for the specials before deciding what you want to order. I have never had a bad meal here. Try the tiramisu - it's surreal.

  • Tiffany G.

Love this place! Never had a bad meal here. It's always best to order from their specials, which the waiters do a great job at painting a picture of. Not that the menu is bad, but the specials are always so good, we've never bothered to look at the actual menu. The service is great!! Staff is very attentive and kind. Check it out!

Glad to find this place from Yelp. We have driven by that plaza countless time and never suspect such a hidden jewel tucked in the corner. The service is friendly enough, though slightly on the slow side, from waiting to be seated (despite reservation and on time arrival), to ordering, all the way to getting a check. Not intolerable, as long as you are prepared for it. Paintings cover almost every inch of the wall, giving it a very colorful, European and romantic feel. I won't however, recommend this place for a romantic dinner. The noise level is just too high. What makes this restuarant a four instead of a five is not the noise or the slow service, but the little something missing from the food. The dishes are delicious, but the seafood pasta can definitely use a better grade of ingredients (plentiful of seafood, but quality is sub par). We ordered the mini osso buco and were disappointed that there is none of the juicy marrows we expected. Don't get me wrong, this place is comparable to what you expect from the Gables, but it's just a tad below Michy's and others I would consider a 5.

We had just finished sitting and our bread was already being served. They don't provide you with butter or oil, but a cream cheese and black olive paste, which is delicious. The service was impeccable and friendly. To start, We tried the shrimp salad with a Asian chili glaze with mango and cucumber over a bed of arugula. It typically comes with two shrimp, but since we were three, they provided a 3rd and never charged us! I ordered the veal chop medium rare. It was perfectly cooked, and complimented with a blue cheese mushroom sauce. My mother ordered the pork chop stuffed with cantimpalo, and dressed in an orange honey glaze. Mm mmm mmm! My sister ordered the mushroom parmigan risotto with gulf shrimp. That was heavenly! My Godson while only five eats like a 50 year old man. He specifically requested the half order of pumpkin ravioli, which came in a delicious sage and rosemary cream sauce. All was complimented with a bottle of Viña Mayor Ribera del Duero. can't go wrong with that wine every!

This is a little piece of heaven on sunset drive. Nicely tucked away from the main streamers. I absolutely Love this place with a capital L. These type of restaurants are very hard to find in Miami. The place is alive with art everywhere, and the service is next to no other and of course the food is just fabulously delicious. Everything is worth a try and I have never been slightly disappointed. Don't let the plaza it's sitting in fool you!

This is truly a hidden gem in Miami's Kendall area. The regular menu is fantastic, but always ask for the daily specials. You will be pleasantly surprised with culinary delight. Items like scallops in a guava sauce, fresh yellowtail in a house lemon butter sauce, deer ribs and kangaroo in a mushroom reduction are frequently available. Side dishes are all great too, try the risotto, a great compliment to any of the dishes there.

I love this restaurant, but it there are good points and bad. First, this is Italian, with a Cuban twist; realize that before you go. Wine is priced well with generous servings, but the food is expensive. In Miami, it seems most places are, but while you'd expect to pay that at Abbracci in the Gables, you wouldn't expect it in a crappy strip mall. Inside, the restaurant is classy, cozy and darling, with lots of art, all for sale. The hostess is a bit clueless and rude. The bussers are very nice and very attentive. Most of the waiters are usually a bit slow and/or hard to understand (I'll explain why this is important later), but all are very eager to please with custom requests. I've never been to a restaurant more willing to make something exactly as you want it. THE MENU: The PRINTED menu is very limited; ok to look, but don't bother committing to anything in there. There are as many specials as there are menu items and the waiters will whip through all 30 of them in 3 minutes. Try and pay attention because the specials are totally where it's at, if you can hear (restaurant is very loud when even half full), understand (accent + speed = huh?), and remember it all. Don't stop him while he's reciting, because if he loses the momentum, he'll forget some; just try and follow as best you can. At which point you start him over again with "What was that first one? And the next?" It's ridiculous that they aren't written down on a daily menu, or even written on a board some place for all to clearly see. I'm guessing it's because they don't want to list prices, and most people don't want to ask. The food is amazing, and it's great having such a delicious place close to home, without the pretentiousness of the Gables or the beach. I know I can take the pickiest of people there and they will ALWAYS find something they love. If you hear parts you love and parts you don't, tell the waiter and they'll fix it for you. Do you remember something you once had as a special there? Ask and they'll try and make it for you again. Everyone I've taken gives me the stink eye when they see the mall (I passed it for years because of the outside), but everyone raves about the place being one of their favorite places when they leave. EVERYONE. That's gotta say something about the place, right? Take the good with the bad, and realize that the food is totally worth it. That being said, don't go. This hidden gem is getting more crowded all the time (my friends taking their friends, taking their friends) and I don't want to have to start waiting for a table. Maybe you can get take-out. Thanks!

Good little dinner locale in a shopping mall on Sunset Drive. Dimly lit and nicely decorated, this is a nice spot to come on a date or just to come celebrate a special occasion like a birthday. It's not upscale by any means, but also not completely casual. I was really pleased with the staff for being so accommodating to my 18 month old daughter - definitely a plus, especially, since becoming a mom, I've noticed a lot of places are not baby friendly. The food was good. I had the pumpkin ravioli which was great, and my husband had the lobster & crab ravioli. His sole complaint was that he would've liked for the portion to be bigger (which is understandable, especially because you're paying a good amount for the food here). The reasons why this is a 3 star and not a 4 star rating: - portions are a bit on the small side, I think (then again, I can be a little gluttonous and not "refined" sometimes, so whatever!), - prices are kind of high - although they have a lot of daily specials, the menu itself is limited, - and yes, they serve you a pretty decent amount of wine, but I thought our choice (house cab) was weak (and I've never had a weak house cab anywhere), hence I wasn't crazy about it. Overall, though, I liked Di Notti. The food was tasty and fresh. If I'm ever in the 'hood and craving Italian, I'd come back. I'd love to try their creamy pumpkin and corn soup, and perhaps a dessert next time!

I came hear for the review's, I have not had one person that I have met say this place was bad. In fact if I were to just rate Caffe di Notte for food alone, hands down it would be five stars. The food was exquisite. But, it wasn't the food that sent my blood pressure off the chart, Yes, oh yes, it was the service. Or absolute lack of it. Especially the 45 min ending. The restaurant was virtually empty upon are arrival and our exit. The wait staff started out like a normal wait staff should, efficient! We ordered the wine, which was the last time I saw the waiter to order more,, as he drifted away every time I wanted more. Also ordered the Calamari, which is the ubiquitous dish served in every Italian restaurant, here they definitely go it right. We ordered the Linguine Alle Vongole which is little neck clams, served over linguini olive oil, garlic, italian parsley & a touch of crushed red pepper, and that is exactly how it was prepared, also exquisite. My friend had the Osso buco Alle Milanese, which looked even more appealing then the Linguine. Well, with my one glass of wine, it was now time for dessert, the table had been cleared, where was the waiter to make suggestions, where was he to ask how was everything, come to think of it, since the main entrée came, where was he. It became a waiting game, empty wine glass, no food, only ice in the water glass to crush. My neck could not crane any higher, nor could my temper. 25 minutes had actually elapsed from when I started glancing at my watch, so could this be a 45 minute hallucination, could "World of War Craft" or "Angry Bird's" be occupying this idiots time so long? It was time to get the check and goooo, I couldn't think of anything else to say, that was even remotely good. My food memory was gone, only left with the agonizing realization that this would be a one night stand. Well, they exhausted me, we got up and began to walk out, then all of a sudden, I'm the bad guy. "Where am I going" well I told the host, I must have to pay in the parking lot, as it's been such a long time, and my friggen waiter must be out there. He had an original thought "Will call the police"! I'm sure the waiter has even a slower response time then the police I told him, just give me my check. I still don't know why I left a tip, albeit 12%. The ambiance, the food was excellent, but I won't even think about coming back! To me, this is a 1 star rating, but it wouldn't be fare to the chef who apparently is so talented!

  • Amy R.

Best dinner in a long time! There are tons of specials that people swear by...the scallop tempura appetizer was fantastic! However, there are a few classics that they'll let you order anytime (even if they're not actually on the menu). I strongly recommend the ossobucco and the lasagna - they were equally delicious!

We hadn't been here in years and one thing still held thru great food. Cafe Di Notti is a hidden gem on sunset and Miami overall for great Italian The soft shell crab was amazing, my wife had the ravioli with shrimp and I had the stuffed pork chop special. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the hostess was extremely rude. We asked to sit a elsewhere and were just told NO, we saw she did this to another couple as well.

Plain and simple. This is the by far my favorite restaurant in Miami, and possible anywhere! Waiters are a pleasure and are always willing to accommodate you. The food... BY FAR THE MOST AMAZING FOOD! Everything is so fresh and you do not need to wait a long time to be served. The specials of the day are often the best choice. I recommend everywhere to come here. You wont regret it. I am a regular customer. I have to come weekly to get rid of my urge. -Josie

Service was impeccable, food was tasty but definitely NOT Italian, guava, mango, plantains ... too bad, I was looking forward to a good Italian meal. If they positioned themselves as "Latin" I would have given them one more star as the food was actually quite good and, as I said, the service was excellent. Price was, for these days, quite reasonable

What an amazing little spot in the middle of nowhere. It's in a corner of a "whatever" shopping plaza, but you get blown away when you step inside. Beautiful paintings, great service (though I didn't see anyone that spoke Italian....) The food is enough for one person, you could even share it if your not super hungry. They give you a nice amount of wine for 1 cup. Pasta was fresh, very little salt/sodium in the food. Wasn't that greasy, you could tell it was made to order and the ingredients were fresh. Go here with your date, they will love it. Only went once (so far!) but I got the crepe for dessert, was fantastic! And the fried goat cheese for appetizer was delicious. Even the bread with that wonderful cream they serve you in the beginning is amazing, I wanted to take the cream home. -God bless.

One if the best! I never order from the menu, always order the soup and one of the specials. Risotto and short ribs are especially good.

Mmmm-mmmm-mmmm. I just tried this place for the first time, and I can not believe that I hadn't come across this prize jewel before!!! Like other reviewers have stated, their main menu is compact. A few key items, that sounded very delish. The specials however are quite extensive, and we decided to stick with those. I had the champagne risotto with short ribs. Oh my! I didn't even have to use my knife, the meat was soooo tender. The waiter told us that it had been marinated for 4 days, and oh my it paid off! So flavorful, and a perfect complement to the risotto which was cooked impeccably. My fiancée ordered the filet mignon, which the waiter kindly offered to have the kitchen prepare with a different glaze since he was not interested in the one the special comes with. It was excellently prepared and the glaze was fabulous. All in all, one of the best dinners we have had out in Miami. Definitely planning on a return visit.

By far my favorite restaurant in Miami. There is nothing you order there that will be less than an orgasm in your mouth. They serve everything from pasta to seafood to steak. I've tried them all, and all were spectacular. It's a hole in the wall and when you walk by it you won't think it's anything special - BUT IT IS. My father is a frequent diner there so now whenever we go we are referred to as "La Familia." Their servers always try their best to make you feel at home. I suggest not ordering from the menu and always ordering from their specials of the day - it never disappoints. There's an artist that hangs her paintings on their wall and you can purchase one if you like. I have one hanging in my dining room. GO. I can't emphasize it enough. Best food in Miami, hands down.

We only had appetizers (salad, goat cheese gnocchi, & calamari) The goat cheese gnocchi was more like a canoli than gnocchi. the calamari couldn't be more generic. I won't be visiting this establishment again.

great place to eat but pricy.... if you are on a budget don't go, if you enjoy fine italian cuisine, you have to stop by.... Excellent. I will say this, it took them a while to get the food out!

This restaurant came highly recommended by my sister-in-law and her family so my sister and I decided to take my mom for Mother's Day. It's very small but nicely decorated- quaint and cozy. The food is pricey but delicious. I had the pumpkin ravioli- superb! My mom had the mushroom smoked risotto and my sister had the yellow snapper. I tried them all and they were very tasty. Though the food was great the service was not. We didn't get menus when we were seated, the waiter took a very VERY long time to greet us and take our drink order, and to top it off, the waiters were arguing in the middle of the restaurant. Not the kind of experience we wanted for our mom on her special day. Nonetheless, the 3 stars are solely for the food. Overall, yummy food, yucky waiters.

My husband and I went to dinner here with our best friends and had an absolutely amazing dinner. The appetizers were amazing (bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious) and the penne paste I ordered had the most amazing pink sauce ever..for dessert we ordered the molten lava cake with ice cream.. Wow! My husband and our friends ordered the pumpkin ravioli and the lobster stuffed ravioli and they absolutely were ecstatic with their choices. I have been here several times and this place never disappoints. Great service as well.

My husband and I went here for a "date night" dinner, and although the food was good ( kind of an Italian-Cuban fusion), the service was very rushed. We had an appetizer ( Malanga Soup), entree (short rib with champagne risotto), and dessert (chocolate lava cake) all in less than an hour, it felt very rushed! We may go back based on the food, but not any time soon.

My neighbors raved about this place a few weeks ago so we decided to give it a try. Small place..16 tables in a strip mall. Ravioli appetizer was bland and not at right temperature. Wife ordered risotto which was ok but she was not wowed at all. Veal i ordered was good. The reAl problem was service. Except for good busboy and water service waiter was slow. Getting the check was 15 minutes. I wont be back.

Went there for our anniversary. Had the red pepper stuffed with lobster for appetizer, the bread was fresh baked, warm and the softened cream cheese went excellent with it. For dinner had the seared tuna with guava sauce which was totally out of this world. We were treated like royalty. For dessert the house gave us a delicious flan and the waiters sang "happy anniversary" to us. I couldn't have asked for a better meal, wine and service. Music was mellow, art work on the walls makes for conversation pieces. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Will return and will recommend it.

Ok. So I was greeted in Spanish. I am totally ok with that. This is America! Our bread was Cuban bread. Love Cuban bread. I love it warm with butter and on media noche sandwiches but at an Italian restaurant? I take issue. So, cream cheese with Cuban bread at an Italian restaurant? Really? Am I missing something? Cosa è successo con olio di olive con il pane? So time to hear about the specials... Scallops with melted cheese. I struggle with any mix of fish with cheese. It is just wrong. Ordered Prosecco. Yum. It was Spanish. Of course it was! Had insalata cesare which was nice but no one offered me cracked fresh pepper. Seems picky but at $30 a plate, I have that right. Tasted good. It was nice. For dinner, rack of lamb, cooked perfect. Flavored nicely. I, personally, am not a mint jelly reduction sauce fan but it was a nice lamb. So... At $25 a plate or around there, service was nice, responsive, and helpful. I would not put this place in my "go to" bucket; takes a lot to get there. Food was decent. Parings I don't agree with but some people don't mind fish with cheese, etc. So buon appetito o Buen Provecho in this case!

This is truly a hidden gem. You only know about this place if someone takes you there or you live in the area. The food is beyond words... Every bite is orgasmic. They have specials everyday of the week for dinner. With that said, I have never opened the menu. Your mouth starts to salivate with the waiters discription of the daily specials. I have never been disappointed and go back whenever I get the chance. One of, if not my favorite restaurant in Miami. Reservation is highly recommended. For lunch they have a special: $13.95 for soup or salad, entree and a dessert. You won't be disappointed.

This place...what a disappointment. I read the other reviews and felt like I was really let down. First of all, the bread was like these rolls that you buy at BJ's and they came with a cream cheese spread that was supposed to have garlic and balsamic vinegar. All I tasted was cream cheese. Rolls with cream cheese?? I'm at an Italian restaurant, not a deli for breakfast. Then the menu had like 7 items, which was a little strange. SO here comes our server and I kid you not, he started telling us what the specials of the day were and there were about 10 of them. How the f... are you supposed to remember everything he just told you (and with an accent so I wasn't able to understand very well what he was describing). I was furious. If you're going to have 35 specials of the day, print them out or write them on a board! So I went with the pumpkin ravioli that were on the menu (because I couldn't remember any of the specials that were described to me and a bunch of them were seafood which I do not eat). The ravioli get to the table and it was 4 large size ravioli. 4! And they were bland! I dont eat huge portions but 4 did not satisfy me at all. They need to get their S... together at this place and it didn't even smell like garlic when I walked in....it aint real Italian.

The food was very good. We had the veal shank, Jonathan penne and salmon and pork chop. We were given 6 small rolls and no soup/salad with the meal. The portions were overall not generous given the price. Some of us left hungry. The waiters were prompt but friendliness was not to be found here. Being of Italian heritage, it was a disappointment in that it was not fully Italian. The ambience was nice, but the art clearly was "island" rather than Italian as well. Desserts offered also were "island offerings" with the exception of Tiramisu. One would wonder if the tiramisu would have guava or coconut in it as well. It was extremely pricey and we have had better Italian for less $, and in a much friendlier atmosphere.

Outstanding lunch specials - 14 bucks gets you a soup/salad, entree and a dessert. They've got outstanding specials too. My family and I eat at Caffe di Notte at least once a month. Like it? No.... LOVE IT!!!

Great hide restaurant. The mall is very simple and not so easy to find, but worth to go. The staff is so friendly... The menu is small, but has great choices. I had a rissotto that was amazing!

This was our first time, and it was based on Yelp reviews. Despite, the strip mall location, this is a real find. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, with walls filled with artwork. The service was great and very accommodating. Bring a pencil and paper to keep track of all of the specials. Every dish was superb. They were out of the beef carpaccio so I asked if they could do it with tuna, no problem! Pumpkin ravioli with a sage reduction was outstanding. The Osso buco and sea bass were also excellent. I would defiantly go back again

If you are looking for delicious Italian food and don't want to be limited to the same old pasta dishes, Caffe Di Notte is the right place. The list of specials was extensive and exciting and the service was great. The waiter mentioned that they will be adding a lunch special which will include soup/salad and an entrée for $15.00. The place is classy and comfy; a perfect setting for a professional lunch meeting or a romantic dinner.

Went here w/ two friends. We got there at a few minutes before 8 on a Saturday evening, and were seated within about 10 minutes. Although the restaurant is in an unimpressive dumpy looking strip mall, it's the polar opposite from the inside. The walls are adorned with local art and the lighting is pretty dim, just right though unless you like to get a good hard look at your food. Our waiter was very nice and patient, I had him repeat the specials a few times, there were so many (more than what's on the menu). We ordered the soup (it was a pumpkin that wasn't very pumpkin-y) and the calamari to start with. I got the seared Tuna w/ a ponzu soy sauce - so well done; the tuna was perfectly done - thinnest layer of searing and a ponzu sauce can be tricky but this had the right balance - needless to say, cleaned my plate. My friends ordered the Chicken rollatini and the Ravioli off the menu - there were no complaints there either. I'm going back for sure. Hope you enjoy it too !!! Oh, the older gentleman at the valet - very welcoming...

We got invited to dinner here last night by a couple friends of ours. They had taken us there last year and it was very nice then. Last night it was great. It's a small restaurant in a very ugly little strip mall that's been remodeled. But, once you walk inside, it's a very pretty, elegant and cozy restaurant. The art on the walls is fabulous to look at and admire. The waiters are very attentive and corteous. Our waiter, Hugo, was outstanding. He recited all the night specials, which all sounded fabulous and then went on to take our order. My friend asked about the Lobster Bisque, which happened to not be on the menu but, he said no problem, I'll have them prepare it for you so I ordered one too. OMG!!! it was delicious. The bread is very good too and they bring it out with a cream cheese and black olive spread which is great. When it came time to order our food, I went with the official menu and I ordered the Ravioli a la Aragosta, which is seafood raviolis with lobster sauce and OH WOW!!! it was great. Hubby ordered the pumpkin raviolis that looked great but, he loves his food steaming hot and his plate was not, so Hugo, very nicely took it back to the kitchen and brought it back to the table with the perfect bubbling temperature. They were extremely nice about accomodating him, especially when he had said that he likes his food HOT, they were great about it. My friend ordered one of the specials which was a pork chop stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella and had a orange and lemon sauce, it looked wonderful as well and it tasted the same. Her hubby ordered the night special linguini with seafood and also it was great. Then, as if we weren't stuffed already, we had to have dessert. Since we sat down, I had been eyeing a gorgeous looking dessert which I found out it was called "chocolate connoti" (or something like that) and it's a small, round and warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, choc. syrup and dulce de leche. It was delicious, minus the dulce de leche which i don't particularly like. My friend had the fruit crepe and it was great too. Needless to say, it was a great night out with special friends, great wine and food, excellent service. Go ck it out, you'll love it.

Went here on a date night with my boyfriend. I was a little skeptical once i arrived as it is in a crappy strip mall, but once inside it is very elegant. It was also really packed, you could tell its a hidden jewel for the local, wealthy people. The waiters were very attentive to us, and very friendly. The menu doesnt have much of a selection but that's because most of their selections come from the waiter themselves. It took my waiter about 10 minutes to tell us the specials, very odd and confusing. This was my only con about this place because after he told me the first special i couldnt remember the rest so i found myself asking him to repeat them over and over. I was a bit overwhelmed and frustrated so i just ordered something from the menu instead of the specials. The food presentation is beautiful and very delicious. Its a bit pricey but worth it. I'll be back.

This place is the hidden-most gem I've ever found. It's in a shitty strip mall next to a Scully's, but walking in the door is like walking through a time warp. It's very clean, pretty, and nicely lit. The waiters all work as a team to see to your pure enjoyment of the food and experience. The menu items are all great, but hold off until the waiter tells you the daily specials! You can't go wrong with any of them--really--but whatever you order, make sure you start off with the soup du'jour. I can't say enough how great a place this is. A little on the pricier side if you order the specials, but not too crazy--my mom's bday was $80 for both of us.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
