Amazing food and great portions for the cost! Love it! Alla vodka pasta is always great! And the calamari!

My Sicilian rustica pasta was good except the chicken had a weird taste like it was bad so I did not eat any more than one bite of the chicken. I was afraid I would end up in the restroom. The asiago gnocchi with chicken was ok. The garlic rolls were delicious! I am not sure if I would return again or not. Not that special.

I was very disappointed and not sure why this restaurant has four stars. Pros: Gnocchi is homemade and really delicious. Best one I have eaten locally. Garlic rolls are delicious (though not hard to find good garlic rolls around town). Server was friendly. Cons: - I tried other dishes at our table and they were terrible. The meatballs had no flavor, lacked salt and herbs. The chicken francese was dry and the batter was eggy. Tasted like the chicken was cooked ahead of time and reheated in the sauce. - I usually don't mind hole-in-the-wall places but this place is REALLY filthy. There was dried gunk on the walls and pictures, like they haven't wiped down the walls since they opened. The ceiling is disgusting, falling down in places and seemingly water damage to many ceiling tiles. Very unappetizing. They should have enough respect for customers at that price point to give this place a top-to-bottom scrub down. - Prices are too damn high! Entrees do not come with soup or salad (though they can be added for $2). Gnocchi is $16. I would be happy to return for a take-out order of the gnocchi but otherwise staying away. Very disappointed in the rave reviews. Since others have mentioned their travels, I have also been to Italy and grew up in an Italian family so I know what I'm talking about.

The prices are good for the portions and quality food you get, but my experience with the service was poor. I ordered the penne alla vodka, which I think was around $13. I first thought this was expensive, but my portion was large and the food was good. I would order it again. The service was underwhelming. Our waiter only checked on us once or twice and took about twenty minutes to collect our bill.

Found this on yelp and we weren't disappointed! Best garlicky bread knots ever, we sent them away so we wouldn't eat the whole basket and they offered more!! Our meals were very good and our server was one of the nicest we had throughout our trip to fl this week. Ambiance is sparse, the booths, walls, bathrooms all need work but great food sand great service.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years and time and time again I leave satisfied. The food is very good and the portions are generous. Upon your arrival, they serve a basket of freshly baked bread rolls, half plain half garlic. They are a huge delicious temptation. I always intent to eat just one but my efforts are for the most part futile. Their pasta e fagioli soup is so filling and satisfying. Their penne a la vodka is one of my favorites. It never disappoints. The only glaring problem with their food is the grated cheese. In my opinion it should be freshly grated upon your request and served on top of your food. At Vigneto's, they have it in a small glass container on each table so you can sprinkle it yourself. I alway skip it because one I don't like the flavor and two I don't know how long that's been sitting there. Throughout the years, the service has been consistently good. Servers are attentive and polite. Their decoration needs major improving though. In my opinion, the place looks dingy and outdated.

Amazing garlic rolls, the best salad dressing in the universe, and a monstrous chicken parm that is consistently perfect. Finish with some homemade tiramisu or homemade cheesecake and you'll have yourself a fantastic inexpensive dinner!

Our favorite "go to" restaurant in the Weston area! Not expensive, not cheap - but always a great meal! Excellent service, too. Everything is great - love their lasagne and have a hard time ordering anything else. Luckily, husband and kids always give me a taste of what they order - never disappointed. If you are ever lucky enough to be there on a night when they are serving seafood risotto ( not sure of the exact name) --- GET IT!! There is usually a bit of a wait to be seated on a Friday or Saturday night, but it moves along quicker than you think. Enjoy!

Delicious homemade Italian food that is not factory made. Expect a wait for the food, but it's worth it. Large portions. Great taste. Service lacking on this last visit due to an overwhelming number of patrons, or I would have scored higher. Amazing garlic rolls and lasagna!

I have never had such a tasty Italian meal, the seafood risotto was really pricey $28 But it was well worth it.The portions were really big. Def recommend the place and will come back!

Outstanding! This is REAL food. Everything house-made, even the salad dressing. Perfect Pasta Fagioli - vegetables are hand-cut, not bagged, and the pasta is al dente. Chopped Grilled Vegetable Salad is an incredible bargain at $8 - twice the size of anything you'd get in South Beach & the ingredients are just sparkling-fresh. Eggplant Parm sandwich is made w/ foccacia & it's not drowning in sauce & not overly-cheesed either. Layers & layers of fresh, sweet eggplant w/ just the right amount of breading & it's not at all greasy. Wonderful place - comfortable & unhurried, spotless restrooms. GO!

I love Vignetto's ...especially the fact that's it's right around the corner! Let's start with the rolls, whether it be plain or garlic...yummers! My family's fav is the Chicken Parm. The portion of chicken is ginormous, great dish to split with someone, as I did with my dad this time. Other dishes I've had in the past...Mussels Marinara, Shrimp Parm, Pizza, Clams, you name it, we've had it! Be sure to save room for desert. They have a killer chocolate cake, enough to share, and a delish Cannoli. Vignetto's NEVER disappoints. Food is consistently good and the service is equally as good!

Very good. Had lasagna and wife had chicken parm. This is not 4 or 5 star italian, probably closer to Olive Garden (large portions, but generally good). However, here the flavors were better than Olive Garden and it is a local business. The garlic rolls they give before the meal are amazing, real garlic and butter covering a twist roll! Overall, recommend for a casual but satisfying Italian meal. FYI - you WILL have leftovers unless you consider sharing a plate.

Disappointed with this Vignetos ....good garlic rolls and a couple of orders of fresh roasted garlic in olive oil - DELICIOUS! Next came a caesar salad that my husband and I were sharing, and one that my aunt and uncle were sharing ... other restaurants split them for the customer, but not here. No big deal, just didn't expect to have to do it. Then the real disappointment ... My husband and I both ordered chicken parmigiana ... oh my gosh ... my husband's was almost DOUBLE the size!! Mine didn't have much cheese melted on top, and wasn't hot ... looked like it had been sitting around for quite some time. I mentioned it to the waiter, he looked at the 2 dinners and jjust made some wisecrack remark. We were all shocked at the comment and the attitude. Didn't offer to do anything about it. After a bite or 2, I was totally disappointed with the taste, and quite honestly, his comment and attitude ... I called him back, told him again, that I wasn't happy, , and this time he asked if I wanted a new dish. I told him yes. He spoke to the owner, who gave me a couple of looks... from a distance ... he never came over to the table, just looked over at us. My "new" (???) dinner arrived pretty quickly, still smaller than my husband's, but at least this one looked fresher, with melted cheese and the temperature was hot! That's when the waiter finally said that this new dish looked better. It's one thing if the portion/ size (same dish) vary from one table to another .... but our 2 dishes were side by side ... and noticeably different! I usually go to the Plantation Vignetos (much better), but wanted to give this one a try since it had been remodeled. I guess I'll have to find a different Italian restaurant in Weston... I don't think I'll return ...

Our family has been to this location several times but my last two visits has prompted this review. First, the renovations were much needed and look fantastic! When we dined in we had a new waitess "Natalie" such a sweetheart and made our dining experience a pleasure, not always the case with some of the waitresses. The food was incredible as always, the addition of the bartender is great, she delivered our drinks almost immediately and with a smile! A great visit. Several days ago, we placed a very large take out order with "Chris", she was extremely polite, took our order quickly and then proceeded to repeat the order back as to avoid errors. Upon arrival to pick up, "Chris" was our bartender from the night before. Again nothing but smiles, politeness and all around fantastic attitude. What a great addition to your staff. We will definitely be back!

After 6 years in Italy, we know good Italian food. Very impressed with the authenticity. Sicilian Rustica was awesome, but I recommend you have vodka sauce on it. Gnocchi was fabulous. Very, very filling. David Santini was our waiter. I will ask for him everytime we return. Great guy! We loved the vodka sauce sooo much, he had some made for our take home food. He was very knowledgeable and we had some great chats about football and tiramisu!!

There are two locations to Vigneto's and I had the pleasure of coming to the Weston Location. Tucked away next to a movie theater, the location is quaint and cozy and I will definitely be returning. We walked in and the ambiance was very "little Italy" with the decor and the lights by the bar was the perfect touch. We were seated and immediately greeted by Stefano who was an impeccable waiter. Truly the epitome of great service. He was friendly & always kept our drinks full. Now on to the food, I never get veal because of how guilt ridden I feel post consumption but I was so tempted because I rarely see veal on a menu. So naturally I had the veal parmigiana, and was pretty satisfied. It wasn't too tender but it was just right. The sauce paired very well with the pasta & not to mention that the portion sizes were abnormally large so I took it for lunch! As a fellow Italian who rarely frequents Italian restaurant because of the phoniness of an "Italian experience"... Vigneto's is as close as you will get and I will without a doubt be returning.

YES!!! We finally found our new favorite Italian food spot! We were HUGE fans of The Roasted Pepper in Pembroke Pines and were one a week regulars and never found another when they closed :( We heard there was a connection with this restaurant and tried it out. OMG! I've never been so excited over food. Everything was delicious. We had Fettuccini Alfredo with blackened shrimp...yummmm! Eggplant parm, and chicken parm. ALL were perfect and so tasty with large portions! They are closed for a few weeks now to redo the place and we can't wait to get back in there. Their other location is in Plantation, so we might have to check it out as well. Service was also EXCELLENT!

  • Jessica D.

Their gnocchi was so amazing omg. I'm so happy I couldn't finish it all and could have it for lunch again the next day. However, it cost $18. However, it was really fucking good. Server was meh, he was a bit awkward I guess? Their silverware was the really cheap kind, the type you can bend back and forth if you get bored, which I thought was weird because I felt that the people running this place kind of want this place to have a "sophisticated" atmosphere. There was like a cluster of employees in the corner by where we were sitting and it was weird to see them just fooling around and stuff ha ha.

AWESOME RENOVATION, CONGRATS !! Still the best grilled chix on salads anywhere, and thanks for keeping the prices affordable. We live minutes from your Plantation place, but we always go back to Weston, been a regular for 20 years. Unpretentious, and fantastic service, as always!!!! Thanks guys and gals!!

After being recommend this location by a friend, it has turned into one of our favorite spots for Italian. We typically visit on a weekend and catch a movie next door. It's a mom and pop place at it's very best packed with flavor and big plates. I recommend the bruschetta and the calamari as a Antipasti to start off the night. There both pretty big for a starter and have amazing flavor. especially the calamari. I usually order the veal saltimbocca with fettuccine pasta along with white sauce, the olive oil with garlic and onions and spices in the pasta are to die for. The veal is tender and the prosciutto is a nice touch that completes the dish. Another mean you need to try is the Asiago Gnocchi. Wow Wow Wow... Trust me it won't disappoint. Soft and cheesy is there not a better combination, these are my favorite dishes here. Cap it off with doppio and your belly will not only be happy but a few inches bigger.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Vignetto's! I struggle each time I go between ordering the eggplant Parm or the penne ala vodka...sometimes I get the penne as a side for a few extra bucks..totally worth it. The eggplant stack appetizer is yummy (could use a little more balsamic) but it is awesome. I sometimes pair this with a salad as a meal. (I can drink the salad dressing...it's that good) Service is consistently good So, why the 4 stars? 1. I have been going there for about 10 years...I miss the salad coming with my meal...or the soup....they were both great...the homemade dressing is amazing 2. This is a new pet peeve...how do you bill yourself as a family restaurant and not have a changing table in the restroom....which the way could be a little cleaner. There is nothing worse then having to change a baby's diaper on the floor...ewwwwwwwwwww 3. Normally I don't take home the penne ala vodka, but I had too much left over to waste...and the server really couldn't tell me how to reheat it and looked a little shocked that I would as such a question. 4. The restaurant could use an update and some dusting...the blinds and fans are filthy.

If you are looking for good italian food while visiting the Weston area... stop looking. This place is DELICIOUS!!!! Chicken was juicy just the way I like it (I LOVE chicken) and the creamy Alfredo sauce pasta mmm mmm mmm... Service was great too. We are not familiar with this area so we asked our server for things to do for my boyfriends birthday and gave us plenty of suggestions. Its hard to find good italian food with good service, I will definitely come back here when I'm back in Weston.

I live around the corner from here and am so glad that there's such a great Italian restaurant nearby. Perfect for a family or for date night, especially because the movie theater is so close. The food is always excellent as is the service. Great small business!

Solid Italian food. The breadsticks are delicious, the plates are large and flavorful, the staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is nice. We will definitely return. My only complaint is we asked for the pizza crust to be extra crispy and didn't get it. If I could give a 4.5 I would.

Stopped in yesterday for lunch with a friend. Have been here so many times. Their food seems to always be consistent. 3.5 stars really.... Friend ordered the Baked Penne with Ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Always a good dish, lot's and lot's of cheese. I had the penne with shrimp, chicken, Italian Sausage and peppers. Having had so many different pasta dishes, they are good. Good flavor, nothing to outstanding, just good pasta. The salads are Amazing!! They have a homemade Italian dressing which is outstanding. The garlic knots are so yummy. I always ask for an extra side of garlic and they bring out a big bowl for ya. :) Wine and beer only. The wine prices and selection are decent. Food prices are reasonable. Service- Hit or miss. I have had excellent service and have had just average to bad. Next to the movie theatre, great place to go before a movie. Decor is old Tuscan, nice booths and tables, small bar area. Good place for the family.

Delicious local Italian restaurant. Very good garlic rolls, and I got the spaghetti w meat sauce & fried zucchini. The ambiance is nice, but casual.. Not too busy , and had great service. I'll be back.

Place is filthy inside. Dust on pictures an inch thick, cobwebs hanging from lights. Floor as black at night. electric outlet hanging out of walls. If this is what you can see, just imagine what you can't see behind the kitchen. Owner didn't care. We will never be back.

We used to go to Vignetos a lot. We moved north of it a bit and haven't been in about a year. We saw the groupon for it recently and decided it was time to go back. I'll summarize by saying it was good, but not great. We went early..5 p.m. as we had our two little ones with us. Garlic rolls arrived....tasty but cold. Asked for another batch....cold again. Waitress said they will put another batch in the oven. 10 minutes later we asked where they were (as the kids kept asking us) and she said 'oh, they never brought them....'. So she went and got them...guess what?? Cold! Not sending them back this time...guess I wasn't meant to have hot rolls tonight. The first thing I noticed on the menu was that everything is a la carte now. No soup or salad comes with the entrée like it used to. I asked the waiter when this changed and she said a few weeks ago. We always order eggplant parm. The price was $13 and came with soup or salad. Well the price is the same, just you need to now order for $2 soup or salad. so really the price is $15.... I can't say this is a $15/dish place. I get costs rise sometime. But don't mess with a good thing and try to reinvent. If you need to charge $14 or maybe even the $15, just do it and don't tell me that everything is extra like I would have to do at a fancy steak house. Was the food still good? Yes. Did I leave with a favorable experience that's gonna keep me returning? No. Will I return? Maybe.

I really enjoyed the food and have to recommend the vinaigrette sauce for the salad. Simple, tasty and well aged. For lunch I think the restaurant is a little too dark and dated. Their sandwiches are massive and very filling. I think most people only half the sandwich and take the rest to go during lunch.

Vigneto's has been a family staple for as long as I can remember. A trip home from college was never complete without a stop at our favorite Italian restaurant. You are greeted with fresh Italian rolls, garlic and plain. The pasta fagiole soup is a thick, creamy mix of pasta, vegetables, and starchy white beans. The Caesar salad is perfectly dressed. As for main courses, I swear we have tried them all. I am a sucker for the chicken parmesan (sauce on the side) which can easily feed two, or one with plenty of leftovers. Also great is the chicken francese, penne alla vodka, and the veal saltimboca. The entree salads are very big and tasty, and come with a beautiful assortment of roasted red peppers. The signature vinaigrette is delicious. The only disappointing dish I have ever had is the zuppa de mussels--they are larger mussels than I am used to eating and I did not care for the flavor. Many of the servers have been there for ages, and the service is always prompt and friendly. We have become friends with the owner Michael over the years, and he and my dad love discussing the various wines on the wine list. In a city where the restaurants are constantly changing, Vigneto's is a Weston staple that is as good or better today than the day the doors first opened all those years ago. If you're in Weston, make a trip to Vigs--and don't forget to grab some chocolate mints on your way out.

This is a cute, laid-back, and casual Italian restaurant. We had a difficult time finding this place. Since we live in Pines, we don't know our way around Weston but thanks to Google Maps and the iPhone, we made it. Our server, a young lady, was very nice and attentive. Our dinner was delicious. My husband and I split a meal since they were so big. We had the chicken parm. The chicken was really good, finger-lickin' good actually. The spaghetti sauce, not so much. Not bad but too sweet for my taste buds. I've noticed down here in SF, people tend to make their Italian sauces really sweet. Our main course also came with a salad, we chose the caesar. Loved it. They brought out fresh garlic and non-garlic bread. Yummy! But definitely don't eat the garlic bread if you're on a first date [rule #435 of first dates]. We also had cappuccinos that we also loved. Overall, the meal was really good, the experience was good. We will probably come back soon!

I went here with a friend for lunch, and this place has its pros and cons. Overall, I'd probably go here again if I were in the area, but this doesn't rank in my favorites by any means. Pros: Garlic rolls, garlic rolls, and more garlic rolls. Honestly, they're amazing, and I'd probably come here just to eat the garlic rolls. The lunch portions were surprisingly large for the low price, and I had more than enough to make another two meals after we left the restaurant. The shrimp in my meal were very large and cooked well. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, with a family-owned authentic feeling to it. I would recommend stopping in for a glass of wine just to check out the interior of this restaurant, it's that nice. Cons: My pasta was drowning in sauce. I feel like they just poured an entire jar all over the dish. I would recommend ordering your dish with light sauce or sauce on the side, as my friend's meal suffered a similar fate.

Our favorite places for Italian. We've been going for years and are never disappointed. Everything is expertly prepared and served pipping hot. Note: In the last year they've changed the menu so that soup/salad are not included w/dinner.

So when you start dating an Italian woman, you notice they eat pasta like a hispanic (me) eats rice and beans. I def would have to add Vigneto's to the list of "Reasons I love my girlfriend" because if it wasn't for her, I would have never came across this little gem. I have been to Italy and Vigneto's has better pasta than any place in Italy. Only half that statement is true unfortunately. I don't even have a passport :( I can't think of words to describe how good their food is. I guess I will attempt to do this from the top... The place is small, dark, and handso...er...cozy. I've been quite a few times, and the staff has always been nice. They bring out these little rolls, half plain & garlic, that I could seriously make a meal out of. I dare you to try and save them for your meal...you'll thank me later! The entrees are huge but they come with a soup or salad. Definitely a bonus. I'm not a salad fan, but they make a mean caesar salad. I usually forget that I ordered pasta, because I get full off the rolls and salad! I, like my gf, am a creature of habit. If you find something you like, why not stick with it?! With that being said, I simply adore Amanda's Creamy Garlic Chicken. I don't know who Amanda is, but I hope they keep her around. Not too much garlic, not too much sauce, and a good chicken portion. The lady loves getting the Penne Alla Vodka, and this is how I know... Me: Is it good? Her: [bite]...it's so good...[bite]...I think there...[bite]...is crack...[bite]...in it... Me: Interesting... True story. The portion size is so big, I ALWAYS take it home. I repeat ALWAYS. That's a wonderful thing really because the fat boy in me gets all excited that I get to eat it later at midnight while watching a movie. Go to Vigneto's as soon as possible. Guarantee you will be there once a week afterwards.

Wow everything was amazing. We went there Friday night to try to find a good new Italian place, which are seriously lacking in MIami. This was the perfect place with fresh, tasty, healthy food. The portobello appetizer is a good size, smothered in plenty of melted cheese, with spinach and REAL peppers (not those old slimy ones from jars most places serve). The chopped veggie salad had plenty of delicious al dente vegetables, good size and very well presented. Hubby had an entree with pasta, chicken sausage, shrimp and real peppers, onions and tomato chunks. Extremely fresh and delicious, I think their sauce is probably homemade. Service and prices were great. We'll definitely be back:)

This is a local italian place with good food at fairly decent prices. My family and me go there on a fairly regular basis. They do a pretty decent ceasar salad and serve excellent garlic knots. My personal favorite meal there is Cheese Gnocci with vodka sauce, excellent.

If you're looking for the perfect, family owned and operated, authentic Italian restaurant that is also family friendly....stop looking. Here it is. My family and I have been coming to Vignetos for years. We are well taken care of every single time we go. The wait staff is amazing (a server named "Jeremy" in particular, ask for him) and the food is phenomenal and authentic to the 't'. The prices are not on the Olive Garden level but they are not too far above it either. If you like Italian and you haven't been here, get here now. Try it on a Friday or Saturday night for a great ambiance as well as outstanding specials. If you don't have time to try the place for dinner, stop in for lunch one day. They're sandwiches are amazing. All they're bread is baked fresh on site. The chicken parm sandwich on that fresh baked bread still warm out of the over will change your life. Be prepared. 5 outta 5. A+ across the board.

I've never had a bad meal here! Everything on the menu is delicious and they can claim 'real Italian food' like my grandpa and mom used to make! Tough to get good Veal Marsala in most places but they do it just right and their Sautéed Spinach? Yummy. Great children's menu too since it doesn't contain chix fingers and Mac and Cheese.

My husband and I have been here twice since we have discovered it. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating. They know the menu very well and are always willing to offer guidance when prompted. The hostess lacks a personality. We have seen her twice now and her sour puss definitely has cost this establishment a star in my opinion. As for the food, it is fantastic. The bread twists are delicious. The calamari is not rubbery. The pasta dishes are divine. We highly recommend Vignetos.

Standard issue Italian food. Much better Italian places out there for the money. Not that this place is really expensive. Staff is nice. Overall the food is very generic and they use way to much sauce on their dishes.

We went here with a group of four and we were seated right away. I was devastated to see that their menu no longer included Pasta Puttanesca - my favorite and usually absent on menus from second rate Italian restaurants. When we asked about it, the waiter seemed like he'd never heard of it but asked the kitchen who said they'd make it. A basket of garlic knots and garlic-free rolls was quickly brought to the table. All of our orders were delicious and each entree included a choice of regular or Caesar salad or soup. The only problem with service came at the end of the meal. There is no dessert menu and one of our group was in the bathroom when the waiter listed the options and asked us what we wanted. We asked the waiter to come back in a few minutes and when he did he took the dessert order ONLY from the person who was missing, so we had to flag down another waiter to place the other dessert orders. But the tiramisu and coffees were good.

This restaurant was recommended to me. Not sure why. The only good things were the garlic rolls and waiter. The caesar salad was bland. The chicken parm had no taste. The sauce was bland. The bathroom and decor were dirty, dusty very tacky. Will not recommend or return.

Yeah, I don't get the over the top raving reviews about this place. It was very garden variety Italian food. The atmosphere is nice enough, as well as the service. I ordered chicken piccata, wife had the lasagna and although both dishes were satisfactory, it was just that, really not amazing or anything. The chicken piccata was lightly flowered and swimming in a medium viscosity butter sauce with a gratuitous amount of thinly sliced garlic and capers. Unfortunately, given the amount of butter in the dish, the flavor was still dull. The accompanying linguini style pasta was cooked correctly, but could not really elevate this dish. The piece of lasagna was of healthy size and about on par with the piccata. Overall, a decent meal, nothing you need to really go out of your way for. If you're in the area and have a hankering, give it a shot. Enjoy the knot rolls with the garlic and oil.

Best Italian in Weston, by far, not very expensive and not "trendy". They have the best penne with vodka sauce and my kids swear by the gnocchi. I am dieting and ordered the chicken breast with grilled vegetables. Meals come with yummy garlic rolls and soup or salad, all good. The waiters are super cute and friendly. They have good specials usually. The portions are generous and my husband is a big eater and usually takes half of his home, good place to share a meal too!! The quality is great and the sauces are the best of the area. Not fancy, it's in a strip mall near the movies, but not a big deal. They have pizzas and salads that are good. My favorite salad is the grilled vegetable salad which is really filling. The eggplant is yum and so is the shrimp parm. Also good for lunch, come hungry!

Amazing food and amazing service. Great homestyle Italian food at moderate prices. But what you pay for is impeccable service and a family atmosphere. The deserts are outstanding and the sauce is a delicious homemade addition to any dish. LOVE LOVE LOVE

This place is a good place to get some Italian food. They had some pretty good penne a la vodka and chicken parmigiana. The only thing is that it is right next to a movie theater and you have lame kids hanging around outside. Service is good and the restaurant is nice inside. I like the place

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
