Great sub shop! Generous portions for a good price. A full sub can easily leave me with enough leftovers for a second meal. Their roast beef is my current favorite. The venue is a bit hard to find as its in a plaza behind a bunch of fast food places on the main road.

I don't think there are enough good things I can say about Sharpie's. I've been here tons of times and I always forget to Yelp about it as I would consider myself a regular. Sharpies is family/friend run and owned. The guys are SUPER friendly and welcoming and even remember that you're a regular when they're not slammed. Sharpie's subs are HUGE so come hungry or ask for your sub to be cut in half and take the rest to go! It's literally a "hole in the wall" mom and pop type of place, but let's be honest, those are truly the best kinds of food places to find! Never be afraid to ask for extra condiments; lettuce, tomato, pickles, olives, etc. They definitely do not skimp on the extras. Super random but also awesome is that they have Birch Beer on their soda tap. Not many local places have it, but they do! Some recommends: They use Boars Head meats and cheeses for all their cold cut subs so anything you get is going to be delicious! I absolutely LOVE their tuna. On a regular cold sub or in a tuna melt, however you want it... they'll make it. Their Cuban sandwich and meatball sub are DYNAMITE! Get creative. Just because they have subs on their menu doesn't mean they won't deviate from that for you. They probably have everything you could possibly think of to put on a sub! Sharpie's is one of those places that you wish there were more locations because it's so good but you also want to keep it just as your special local secret to take people to and call it "your special secret sub place"! Definitely a fan for life!

Get the Roast Beef (6" 8" or 12") topped with all the fixings. Very flavorful and is just the perfect amount of medium - medium rare! Bread is so soft & the toppings are fresh! Smaller area inside, probably seats about 30 people if that, both table & counter seating. My only gripe was the chip selection - just wish it was more extensive for my personal liking. They also have fountain Birch beer if anybody is looking for it!

(To the tune of the ZZ Top - "Sharp Dressed Man") "They wait in line for as long as they can 'Cause everyone's crazy 'bout a Sharpie's dressed samm" I sometimes think sandwiches are the easiest thing in the world to get right. If you have great bread and great meat then you are 90% of the way there. Since most respectable sandwich shops (like Sharpie's) are using Boar's Head meats then the map is pretty much laid out for you. Sharpie's knows how to stick to the map and it makes you wonder how so many competitors get lost. Sharpie's provides fresh bread with crispy veggies and a generous portion of quality meats to make an excellent sandwich. All of this is served by a friendly staff for a fair price in the $8 range for 8" sub. I have had a variety of sandwiches there, Turkey, Roast Beef, Italian, Tuna and all of them have been quite good. However, they have nothing in their formula that elevates them to the greatness of their most obvious sandwich rival LaSpada. One downside to their quality is that they can get extremely busy. If you go there during the lunch rush you will probably have to wait at least 15 minutes for a sandwich. Also, they use the horseradish kind of deli mustard so if that is not your thing you may want to stick to the regular mustard.

I walked in after 12 and the place was packed for lunch. About 25 people ahead of me but the line moved fast. It's a tiny place but the atmosphere was old school deli sandwich shop. The pace was fast when ordering so be ready when they ask you questions. I ordered a classic 8" cold turkey and American cheese ($7.99). They have lots of toppings to choose from. I went with wheat vs white. I was a little nervous about this decision because I normally get white bread so I wasn't sure how this would affect the overall taste. That first bite was magical. The bread was super fresh and soft and wasn't overpowering like some wheat breads taste. The boars head turkey and American cheese topped with lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, black pepper, with a dash of oil and vinegar actually reminded me of the sub I get at publix. And we all know how good those subs are! After eating there I realized why they are a 4 star company and the place was packed! Excellent lunch and would recommend!

Big Fan already. I love the service and the sandwiches are delish. I have ordered the tuna, italian, turkey. Staff is very friendly and always packed (especially around lunch time) Small place in a strip mall hidden from the main road. I only heard about it from Yelp. Thanks Yelp!

Sharpie's Hoagies of Sawgrass is my new go-to place for sandwiches. They offer Boar's Head lunchmeat and it's reasonably priced. I ordered an 8" Italian on white. My boyfriend ordered a 12" roast beef on white. Both subs were huge, I would recommended sharing with someone. The bread was really soft and fresh. I also tried the homemade potato salad. This was the best homemade potato salad I've ever had. Not to mention, the place was very clean. Usually my go-to place for sandwiches is either LaSpadas or Deli Boys, but now it's Sharpie's. It's very comparable to taste and it's cheaper.

In town visiting relatives and was lucky enough to find this sandwich shop on Yelp. Great sandwiches. We ordered the Italian, the ham & cheese, and sliced chicken breast hoagies. The bread was excellent, the meats & cheeses were plentiful, and the toppings fresh and delicious.

How come I've never heard of this place before? The bread was so soft, meat is boars head. Only thing the hot meat on a hoagie that's not toasted is heated in the microwave. Would be better on a flat top. But overall, I will be back. I hear everyone ordering tuna salad. Guess I'll try that next time. I had corned beef.

The food is great but don't hold your breath for delivery. Today I decided to NEVER order from this place again! I order twice a week and it's always the same thing. I call in at 11:30 and get my food at 1:00PM. Once my food arrived in a timely manner, however it was a different delivery driver. I told him how shocked I was to have it here on time and he said it's because he actually does his job, unlike the other driver who does non-work related things between deliveries. Today is a prime example. I order at 11:20AM and it's 12:45 and still no food! This is so unacceptable. I called to get the status and all they say is, "It's on it's way." I'm actually getting this meal on them because last week my order was late and wrong. I don't eat meat and I asked for a Veggie wrap and was bought a a Turkey wrap. I order from here twice a week you'd think they catch on to the fact that I do not eat meat! This makes me so HANGRY! which is a combination of Angry and Hungry. Not a good combo while at work. I only have so much time to take for lunch and I spend most of it waiting for my food then I have to scarf it down so that I can be at my desk on time.

Awesome! Friendly staff that takes pride in the craft of bogie making! I ordered the 12" Italian and requested it heated. The sandwich was hot, bread was crusty but had soft center, meat was delicious and plentiful, and all vegges were fresh and skillfully cut! I seldom write reviews for any restaurant, but Sharpie's really made my day! The sandwich is enough for me to have to meals! Well done! I can't wait to try the other items on their menu!

I mostly prefer italian subs so Sharpies did a good job. The meat is great the bread is fresh and soft and veggies crispy. Overall I would try again. I have eaten at Laspadas as well they are very similar. I tried the tuna sub it was really huge. I am not a tuna person but prefer a thinner spread. If you love tuna they give a huge amount. The Italian sub is super meaty you could take one sub and feed at least three people. Not three guys of course. Never tried the delivery so I really can't add any reviews on that process. But try sharpies if you're in Sunrise Sawgrass it's a definite go to place.

Massive sandwich - only consume if you have time for a nap. Always in the search for new places to eat in my immediate area, I came across Sharpies on Yelp. Honestly, if it wasn't for Yelp I would of NEVER known about this place. It's a little hidden off the main street, tucked into a shopping center, with trees along the main entrance, the sign isn't visible from the street. I'm glad Yelp led me here - as I will be back, often. Walking in the place has no bells and whistles. Plain tables, chairs, counter and two dudes behind the counter cutting up meat, slitting bread in half and staking on toppings. Honestly, not much else is needed - these guys make a mean sandwich! I got the Italian. They said they were out of all bread except wheat. I was a little disappointed as every time I have wheat bread at a sub shop it's super dry. NOT THIS ONE. The bread was soft, fluffy inside with a nice crust. NOT DRY AT ALL? How do they do it? All of the meat is cut on the spot (deli style) and they are very generous with the portions. Stacked with sliced of ham, genoa salami, cappicola and provolone cheese. I added mustard, lettuce, tomato, black olives, jalapenos, salt, pepper, oil & vinegar. WHOA! The flavors were incredible, the sandwich MASSIVE and the meal left me wanting to crawl into bed and take a nap. Oh and they have cans of grape soda - how can you not love that?

This is the best Sandwich shop! We plan our trips to sawgrass mall so that we can visit Sharpies. Very friendly staff! And the open face grilled Roast Beef is excellent! The roll and the meat is open face grilled at the same time! Fantastic!!! I recommend this for an appetizing and filling meal! Best ever!

If you blind folded me I wouldn't know if I was at Sharpies or LaSpadas. They both use the same bread, which is fantastic. My lone gripe is to stop slicing that cheese so paper thin. You can barely taste in in the sandwich. I'd actually sacrefice some meat for more cheese next time. The service at Shapries, since its not nearly as busy as your average LaSpadas, is better. If you're ever in the hell hole called Sawgrass Mills Mall and you're in need of a solid snack after walking for hours, this place is a no-brainer.

This place has been here forever, I use to eat here back in high school. The meat is Boar's Head and overall its a pretty good sandwich but the bread is a little to soft for my liking i prefer a little crunch on the bread. The amount of meat was decent. Overall I prefer Laspadas which doesn't mean much as hoagies are like burgers everyone has their favorite.

Delicious, fresh and well priced! This is definitely the place to go if you want South Jersey style hoagies in Broward county. They use freshly sliced Boar's Head cold cuts, and fresh bread (every day) that is perfect for the sandwiches. As a large guy with a big appetite, I can sometimes barely finish the 8" which is their medium. Decor is deli, don't expect anything fancy, but it's consistently clean, with several tables inside and out. Toppings are fresh, product is consistent. Would be five stars, but friendliness is not their strong suit. Polite, always. Best in town, enjoy!

This was my second time visiting Sharpie's and the sub was again great! Both times I ordered the 8 inch sub and was very full after (this is the middle size). If you are on your lunch break, you should call ahead and order. I went around noon on Monday and waited maybe 10 or 15 minutes before they got to me. By 12:20 this place was packed. It is a small restaurant and I would imagine it being very cramped to eat in around those prime lunch times. 11:45 or 12:45 seem to be the best times to go for almost all restaurants in the Sawgrass area during the week. Both times I have ordered the special sub of the day. Monday was Cuban and Wednesday was Shredded beef. I cant remember the other days but they only have specials on weekdays. They only use Boars' Head products and cut the meat to order. They will also make you a very large salad with their meat and toppings! I will be back!!!

The staff is very friendly, very helpful, very knowledgeable of there menu and will make the sub any way you want it . They have a wide selection of hoagies, subs, wraps, salads you name it they have it. They use Boar's Head products so you know your getting the best. Wraps and Hoagies are huge. Big size and big Flavor! This is not a big place but the product there dishing out is better than any subway sub I've had. No complaints.

I ate here the other day, and was truly impressed. Such a great sub and a great price! They fresh cut the meat for your order and have a great selection of toppings. The bread is really soft and tasted fresh. I will be returning here next time I want a sub.

I love LaSpadas, but they are too far away from my home location. With a hankering for a hoagie, we found Sharpies here on Yelp... they are 5 minutes from my house. We just tried them and wow! They are just like LaSpadas but with more choices and toppings! Great hoagie guys!

Can you say huge? I went there for lunch with DH arrived just before what appeared to be a regular business crowd. I had the 8" tuna and cheese on whole wheat. Homemade tuna might be the best I ever had. You can add whatever toppings they take their time when making not rushing you like some other places. I heard from yelp the potato salad was good so I had to have me some. I wouldn't say the best but very good. The sandwich was so big I couldn't finish and I am a hearty eater. My husband had turkey his was very good too. Just visiting but would go again in a heartbeat . Hard to find if you not looking for it in a strip mall in front of sawgrass mills.

Went to Sharpie's because of great reviews and was not impressed. Bread was not fresh and it didn't seem like the meat was so much. Very bland sandwich and I guess I have to go to Laspadas to get a real hoagie!

Awesome place! The staff is friendly. But the best part is the sandwiches! The place is a little small but it more than makes up for it with big taste. With the over abundance of sandwich places like Subway and Quizno's it is hard for the mom and pop places to really stand out. These are no $5 foot longs! But as I always say, and my wife can attest to this, "You get what you pay for!" From the fresh bread, to the freshly cut meat, to the fresh toppings this place does everything right. When you order a sub, unlike at a Subway, they cut the meat fresh for you and you can get as little or as many toppings as you want. The Good - Fresh Bread. Great Meat. Fresh Toppings. Great Selection The Bad - This is not a bad thing, but it might turn people away who are on a budget. The price is higher that some people are used to at Subway, it's not $5. But I am ok with that as the quality is much much higher, but it might be a turn off to some people. Would I go back - Yes! They do it right.

I am addicted to Sharpie's Hoagies! I've always been a sandwich lover, but Sharpie's kicks the butt of any other sandwich I've ever had (LaSpada's is pretty good too, but Sharpie's is better in my opinion). I discovered Sharpie's about 3-4 weeks ago and I have been there for lunch about 6-8 times already....it's that good. They are fast, friendly, and they really impressed me when I asked them to give me a "few" of an item and actually listened. The first time I went there and the guy gave me what I asked for I was sold! I am so tired of going to Publix, Subway, wherever and asking for a "few" of something and getting a "ton" of it because the person behind the counter either doesn't care or has a lack of skill (so to speak).

The Chicken salad is pasty and gross. I couldn't finish eating it but wish I quit sooner. I'm Shocked by the reviews. If you like Subway then you'll like this place, too. I'm definitely disappointed and a native of Philly- the birthplace of hoagie's.

Got a roast beef sandwich which is their equivalent to a philly cheese and it was awesome. Mom and pop type shop. Nice guys working there too.

I have had many subs in my day, but today from Sharpies I had the best sub I have ever tasted in my life. They are very similar to Lasapdas, but the difference is huge. Sharpies uses good meats, cheeses, and breads that combine to create a trifecta of flavor. You have your choice of over 20 subs to choose from and they do not disappoint. I highly recommend this sub shop and it is my new go to for a delicious sandwich (and yes it is better than subway and publix as well).

This place has awesome subs and they've been here for years for a reason. My favorite are turkey w/cheese & chicken salad sub. Great prices and friendly service what more can you ask. Great job!

Really tasty sandwiches with lots of options. Hoagies, heros, regular bread, etc. They have a wide selection on their menu... I would probably revisit.

Love their subs! The meat is always sliced to order - not sitting around in in little precut packets. Everything I have tried has been great and my kids love it too. Don't be scared off by a long line - it moves quickly! My go-to choice when at Sawgrass Mall --- It is in the strip center directly across Sunrise Blvd from Sam's Club. Yummy

Delicious sandwiches. The chicken salad and Italian pressed subs are out of this world. As good as Laspadas in Davie.

I found this place by happenstance across from my hotel, and it was an excellent sandwich. There were some slight differences from the standard hoagie preparation that went a long way, included tomatoes cut into half slices and diced onions. The best feature was the blanket o' extra roast beef they put on top of the sandwich.

  • Stephen M.

I get sandwiches here just about every week. These guys make the best hoagies in town. The rolls are always fresh and delicious, fresh cut meats, and plenty of toppings to pick from. The guys are always friendly and they pack the rolls FULL. Unless I'm really hungry, I usually end up eating half the sandwich for lunch and the other half for dinner.
