We ordered nova on bagel and bacon egg on bagel. Both were very good, Especially Nova, very fresh . Waitress was attentive and nice . Waiter that seated us was not nice and acted like we were bothering him. This is definitely a good stop while in Stuart florida

Do you like frozen food in a nursing home setting? Can't stand this place. It was good about 5 years ago before it sold. Now it's not worth a $hit...

First time here, very good food and excellent service. Highly recommend. Definitely check it out!

Great deli food! Potato pancake nacho type appetizer was not authentic NY deli food, but it was very tasty! My roast beef sandwich was piled high on soft crusty rye bread. My son had delicious chicken soup and a great corned beef sandwich. Dr Brown's cream soda brought back childhood memories. It wasn't until I got home and read reviews that I discovered they have egg creams! Next time!!! Oh, yes...there will be a next time!

It's good for the Stuart area, but not by NYC standards. If this place existed in NYC they wouldn't get a second chance from me -- there's way better deli food around (hello, Katz's and Second Avenue Deli!). But alas, it's all I've got here in FL, so I'll take it. I got a Reuben -- quickly made and friendly service. It was an ok sandwich, but nothing crazy-good. I did appreciate that it came with a side of fries, coleslaw and a pickle. I might be back if I get another desperate deli craving, but it will probably be a while. Based on taste, Toojay's gets 2 stars -- Meh. But the friendly service bumped them up to 3.

Oh, to find a Jewish deli was a real treat! Our party of 4 really enjoyed this deli. We ordered 2 liverwurst sandwiches, a corned beef and a brisket sandwich. All of the sandwiches were delicious. The portions really generous. The rye bread was exceptionally good. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.

I am done with Too Jay's. The service is horrible at the Stuart location and also the Palm Beach Gardens location. The Juno Beach location is MUCH better. The food is consistent but the service is just bad. I have done dine in and take out and they are always slow. An hour lunch easily becomes 90 minutes simply because they are slow.

  • Jessica S.

Always consistent food. Fairly priced. Good service. Can get busy during season and after 630. Perfect place to grab a bite right before a movie. The tuna salad is great. Banana Dream cake is amazing (and I hate bananas but I'm addicted) but the key lime pie is the worst thing on the menu (bland, odd consistency, not tart, just wrong).

Went here on a recommendation. Ordered pastrami on rye. In a Jewish type deli I figured it would be great! It wasn't. I was told the rye bread would be thick, soft and tasty. It was thin, hard around the edges and tasteless. Maybe they ran out of the bread they normally serve? The pastrami, sorry to say, was dry, lots of it, but dry and cut too thick for my taste. I also tried the potato knish which could have been hotter but was great. Got two more to go. Service could have improved the overall experience but it was simply ok. No drink re-fills were offered but to be fair we didn't ask. Haven't been back yet but I probably will. Too many 5 star reviews not to try again.

Everytime I visit Jensen Beach, Florida, I need to stop for breakfast at Toojay's. The food is great and the service always friendly. The baked goods case in the entry way is mezmerizing. Everything looks so dreamy.

I dont have a chance to go to florida often but when I do, I have to get soup sandwich or the stiifed cabbage. They make wonderful egg creams. Their portions are so big that I have to share with someone else, . I just wish you had a location in texas.

Oh Geeeezzzz, My mouth waters every time I think about this place. I LOVE it! Whenever we are in Florida and there's a Too Jay's we go a lot!!!!

Gluten free/celiac nightmare. Found noodle in my soup, looking forward to my reaction. Server jokingly asked if I wanted some free rye bread to go, didn't seem to care much. Manager comped our soups and drinks. Food allergies aren't a joke they can be life threatening.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Florida! If I could go.nightly I would and with such variety I wouldn't even repeat meals! My favorites-stuffed cabbage, mini or regular latkes, knishes! The service is impeccable even with lines out the door on a regular basis. A+++

Best deli in town. Matzo ball soup fantastic along with the best rye bread ever. Highly recommend this Resturant.

The food is amazing and authentic Jewish deli. Love the turkey Ruben , the best really. Matzo ball soup is the best I've had outside the north east. Only complaint is I will not dine in....there is such a odd smell when walking in. It smells like cleaner of sorts (place is spotless) so I order out.

We have dined there for years, but undoubtedly, the restaurant has seen better days. The food we admit is fine, but the service has been getting worse and worse. The last two times we have found that no one comes back to check to see if you need a drink refill, or to see how everything is. We had to search for our waitress for a refill on the coffee which of course, never came. We didn't see her again until it was time for the bill. Our recourse was to show her how much we appreciated being ignored in the tip.

Forgot the second patty for my cheese burger. Hostess rudely questioned my girlfriends request for a booth as our party was not yet fully present. Waitress nearly spilled full pot of hot coffee on minor because she wasn't looking where she was running. (The waitress, not the small child) My burger was delicious, after the rest of it arrived 20 minutes after the first "half" TL;DR - food: yes. Wait staff: questionable

Went here with relatives and had the half a hot pastrimi sandwich with matzoh ball soup for lunch. Homemade rye bread was fantastic, their signature mustard very good, and it was the best matzoh ball soup I have ever had. Best Deli food I have found in Stuart, will go again.

Great places to stop in for a quick sandwich! Real close to the airport if you just flew in, need lunch, and have about an hour. I got the turkey avocado, which is new on the menu, and it definitely was a large portion but great tasting sour dough bread! I definitely recommend this place for lunch if passing thru the Stuart area!

Let me first say, we've eaten here many, many times. We've also eaten at many other TooJay's locations. After the last experience, we will NEVER, EVER return to this location. Why you ask? COOKS SHOULD WASH THEIR HANDS AFTER USING THE BATHROOM. I've never been more disgusted in my life. Nasty. I didn't eat, asked for the check and we left...NASTY.

  • Kim B.

Had a tuna on rye and my mom had liverwurst on rye..... bread was very soft. Service was very good as well. Toojays in Boca is still awesome but the one in Stuart is still very good too!!! The staff is so kind. I'm going to admit it right now!...........this Toojays rocks!!!!!!!!! Will definitely be back.

Good deli and super sandwiches. They also offer catering which I have used in the past for parties. Great cookies and sweets.

I am fortunate enough to keep some odd hours so my breakfast times and lunching times don't really match the general population. Which is lucky for this place because by the time I am leaving there is a line out the door and wave after wave of walkers posting up. The food is OK, and traditional I guess but I have not been overwhelmed enough to wait 5 or 12 minutes as they have posted markers on the wall so you can gauge your wait. I have had some OK breakfast, and some not so good meals. This all might be my problem since I don't eat the giant meat sandwiches they serve and potato pancakes don't seem to keep me coming back.

Went for lunch. I had a Cobb salad, my kid had one of the Chicken sandwiches. Both were excellent. Place was clean and they kept my drink full. Desserts were wonderful. Not much else to say! Whether you live around here or visiting, this is a good pick.

Love to eat at Toojay's when in Stuart! The food is some of the best in the category of deli's. The service lately has been lacking. Everyone working there seems to be bothered by the guests being there. Time for some serious attitude adjustment.

  • Tim P.

Traditional lower east side deli menu marred only by the fact that it appears that there is a permanent AARP conference taking place. Avoid it if you can; long lines of coupon wielding clientele, high prices and gaudy decor -- there are much better places to eat out

  • Daniel M.

TooJays has been around for quite a while in the Stuart area. I enjoy their sandwiches and salads. They also have some healthier options on the menu. Bagels could use some improvement but the pastries are good for a chain restaurant. It can get noisy at times and often there are hoards of older folks there for the specials. Other than that you'll get some better than average food.

I cant say enough how great this place is , food is like NYC everything is great . One draw back is there is a nursing home right behind it and its always packed always lots and lots of old people . Honestly Great food for the price best place in Stuart if that can happen.

  • Hardy E.

Chili and chicken Capri are wonderful. This place does smell like old ppl though.

Cheap! Giant helpings. And good, good food! Brisket sliders were different and delicious. My wife had a brisket sandwich that you dipped in onion soup for a nice change. Fries were fresh and hot. I am not an easy reviewer, so when I give a place 4 stars it is worth a try. Please do yourself the favor!

What kind of jaded diners eat here and reviewed this place poorly?!!! This was a really great place to eat with GREAT sandwiches and AMAZING DESSERTS! The bistro beef (French Dip) was Yummy and I would tackle my mother for the last piece of banana dream pie!!!

This is not a New York deli. Moving that out of the way, Toojay's isn't bad at all. The portions are ample, the pricing is adequate, and there really isn't much else in the way of a quality deli in Stuart. Definitely a fan of the reuben here. If you're in the area, check it out. This review isn't terribly long, nor is it terribly high quality, but I'm not in Stuart often enough to write a rambling review full of humor, sarcasm, and poorly chosen metaphors. Four stars then, to a deli that's pretty good.. for the area. 4.0 out of 5.0. In Stuart, there's not much else in the way of choice.

Granted, it's not like a true deli that you would experience in New York, or even in Michigan for that matter, but it's a good substitute while in Florida! The sandwiches are always great, try the shrimp salad wrap served with fresh fruit for a change - it was wonderful. The fries are not to be missed, even though it will guarantee a doggie bag. Bakery items in my house have always had to be brought home, since we're always stuffed to the gills - but the black and white cookies are super!

This has to be the closest NY style outside NY or Manny's in Chicago, Big servings friendly service! Best to go off hours, line gets pretty long.

Gotta get the Napoleon's! Next try the Banana Dream Cake Most excellent New York Jewish Deli.... Best Tabouli I have found in my travels.

I've only ever been here for lunch...about 30 times over the last 13 years! We actually ordered take-out today (10/22/2008) which was a change, but alas, it's still darn good Jewish Deli food. I ordered the Turkey Pastrami sandwich on rye, MK the Dill Chicken Salad on Challah. Mom and Dad actually order a 1/2 loaf of rye and get sliced meats (Pastrami and Turkey Pastrami) and make their own sandwiches. As for eating in the restaurant, this one does a good business as it's in the Regency Square Mall. Service has always been pretty good and food always arrives correctly made and to the right temperature. I've had the Matzo Ball Soup and it's fantastic as is their Chicken Noodle Soup. We've never really had dinner here, so I'm not really sure how it is, but I can say that desserts are pretty good and usually, if we eat there, we get them to go. The eclairs are huge and very custard filled (and not cheap either). You get huge softdrinks here. 32 oz glasses with free refills, so watch your bladders.

My wife and I really enjoy this place. Good and friendly service, most menu items are well prepared, with the exception of the humus, and flavorful. We get take out from here as well.

When you are in the mood for beef tongue, kosher bakery, great sandwiches, soups, and just a great meal, yes, this is the place to go! Delicious food and an atmosphere where people who appreciate fresh food should go! LOVE IT!

One of the few places I have given a 5 star rating to. Everything I have ordered here has been perfect with my favorites being the matza ball soup and the chicken livers

If you want a good cheeseburger, normally wouldn't think of this deli. My Swiss cheese burger was excellent. Usually get the Reuben which is also great!

  • J R.

What's the deal with this place? Do they put $20 bills in the matzo balls, because, to my amazement, this place is always busy. I have given this place 15 years to wow me, but it never happens. It's not my first pick for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I had a spoiled fruit cup here that was wretched, and can't get myself to go back.

  • Matthew S.

I really hope Toojay's doesn't move to NJ because I might gain 20 lbs from all the fresh rye bread I eat. Seriously is there anything more amazing then Toojay's rye bread. You wouldn't expect to find a good NY style deli in Florida, but this place will surprise you. They have some great sandwiches and offer many of the things you would find in an actual New York deli like Cel-ray soda. For those of you who think that's sounds insane, don't knock it until you try it. When your leaving check out the dessert case. You really can't go wrong, but I would suggest the rugalach. One of my favorite dessert and this place has the best. And back to that rye bread, they sell it by the pound so take some to go.

This is a very good deli and for this part of FL, it is as good as food gets. The menu is vast and the food is authenic Jewish deli. The service is also good.
