The appetizer Antipasto Misto , which consisted of eggplant rollatini, baked clams, shrimp oreganata, mussels, and mozzarella sticks (not really a stick) was delicious! The bread they brought to the table was good - nothing to write home about - but the garlic & OO that accompanied it was delicious. Salad was fresh and crisp. My entree of manicotti was very good and my BF loved his tortellini bolognese. Dessert - I can't believe we had room!- was tiramisu. Yummy. The service was excellent. Glasses were always full and if you heeded anything, it was on the table before you knew it!

Everything was excellent. I don't what this place is like in season but during the summer it still first rate. The only oddity was a tablespoon instead of a soup spoon.

This place is very hard to find. It is in a strip mall, but behind other stores, It can not be seen from the street. The food here is 5 star, but other things are not. We got there on a Sunday night about 7:00 pm. There was so much noise we could hardly hear the hostess talking to us. We decided to eat outside which was quite present (and quiet) The Montepulciano was a good wine choice, It was well above average for a Monte. The bread seemed home made and seemed quite good. Caesar salad was fresh with good ingredients, but needed more dressing. My main dish was veal piccata. One of the best I've had. It could have had a bit more veal, but the sauce had great taste and consistency. It came with pasta and red sauce on the side. The pasta tasted great and was done perfectly. The red sauce was top notch (and I really know my red sauce). Now for the odd things. We had two different waiters, but neither knew what the other was doing. We were asked duplicate questions by both waiters multiple times. There was a table of 4 next to us who got 3 or their four meals and had to ask for the missing dish. When the waiter opened the wine, he placed the cork on the table, but out of reach of myself or my wife. At the table on the other side of us, a frog jumped onto a dish of fettuchini. The woman screamed and the frog retreated, The restaurant comped her dinner. I will try to post a photo of the frog. At the end of our meal we were asked (twice) if we wanted dessert. I asked what they had and selected the cheese cake, only to be told later that they were out of cheese cake. Despite the spotty service (and wild life), I would go back again. Italian food this good is hard to find.

We. Had dinner with friends at Renatos. The food an service were excellent. I also love the location and ambience here. I will definitely be back. It's not cheap but very reasonable for the quality. I'm Italian from Brooklyn ny so I know good italian.

I am a self-professed food snob and I thoroughly enjoyed Renato's! We sat outside and had a delicious dinner with bread hot out of the oven, very fresh salad and each of the entrées was delectable. I ordered off of the daily specials menu - the flounder francese. The fish was flaky, lightly breaded and perfectly appointed with the lemony white wine sauce. My husband tried the veal piccata and said it was the best one he has ever had... which was evidenced by his perfectly clean plate which I think he licked. :) The service was adequate but not outstanding. I would definitely return as it was the best meal we have had so far in the area.

Being from New York I do not often eat Italian food out of town. I know, I am a snob! We had guests visiting and they wanted to go for Italian. Boy am I glad I did! I had been here a couple times before and thought it was fine but last nights dinner was excellent. Great red sauce, great everything. Worth a try and we are going back ( often).

The atmosphere claims upscale and the menu tries to achieve. Server Ms Teresa is a class act. I went with the "pork" Osso Buco, and my wife had the Hog Snapper, they called Snapper Genovese. Who would EVER put pesto over this great fish. Awful idea! The shank was"pan roasted", with a pan sauce of tomato, and canned mushrooms!! Oh my. No seasonings were noticed. A glass of wine priced at the bottle cost retail. Now come on! The service is performed by young boys who don't have a clue. Who placed them in this role with no training? Come to the table asking who has what entree? Didn't work!

Fabulous Italian food in a family run restaurant. Try lunchtime for a more affordable dining experience. We used a coupon from one of the local papers and saved an additional $5.00. Great service and clean restaurant.

Loved my gluten-free shrimp scampi! I usually avoid Italian places because most don't have gluten-free pasta to offer. Beautiful HUGE shrimp and just the right amount of pasta and the scampi sauce was spot-on, with plenty of garlic, just the way I like it. My husband adored his manicotti, we've been searching for a place that has it and he was very happy. The only complaint I have is about the balsamic salad dressing. It was just like someone covered my salad in oil and put a few drops of balsalmic vinegar on it, I didn't even eat it and was never asked why. The service is a bit spotty, hit or miss. But over all, I would recommend this place for flavorful Italian cuisine.

This is a classic red sauce Italian restaurant which understands what it does well and sticks to it. The veal, pasta and seafood dishes were all very good. Appetizers were generous and tasty. Wine list was above average, including some nice American wines. Bread was homemade and service was solid and pleasant. Good for families or a date. Your not going to get anything cutting edge, but you will probably not be disappointed if you are looking for high quality, dependable traditional Italian.

Renato's never fails in its food quality, wine and service. If you are looking for a family owned Italian restaurant (instead of an impersonable chain) where the owners will be on the floor every day to greet you, this is the place. Great veal, seafood, pasta and steak dishes. Prices are reasonable and we always come here when we are in town. It's been consistently good and I don't hesitate to recommend it.

9/14/2010 Renato's is very highly rated but not so much on the 14th of Sept 2010..Very poor serviceand worse food. . The server did not speak or understand English and kept trying to take plates away before they should be. Poor service was topped by even worse food ..some was obviously microwaved..had that mushy meat texture.... I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but I'm not going back. I wonder if they changed owners.

Passing through Stuart, FL, I had a very fresh and tasty seafood salad for lunch, sitting at one of Renato's outdoor tables on a brisk sunny day.

Excellent meal preparation and attentive service. The seafood is always fresh and appetizing. Wine selection is reasonably priced.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
