The coffee was burnt and my bagel had a hair inside it! I spoke to the owner Vaughn Hill and he told me to "get a grip" when I asked for my money back. When I commented about how dirty the place looked, he told me to leave. When I told him I would when I got my refund, he told me he was calling the police and telling them I was trying to rob the place! All this in front of a huge line of customers! After doing some research on this clown, I found he opens a new closes a new restaurant every couple years, presumably because he does business like this.... DON'T EAT HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE FILTH!

To die for bagels! Had an "everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, and onion". As close to a NY bagel as you can get!

If it's not boiled, it's just a roll with a hole. Sadly, that is what Max's serves as bagels; rolls with holes. Granted they are some of the best imitation bagels in the area, but they are not bagels. Friendly staff, fair selection of rolls and spreads and so so prices make this an OK stop for breakfast. I wouldn't go far out of my way to get here, but with the Stuart Lowes and Home Depot practically across the street, it is convenient.

Four stars?? You people need to get up North more often!! The lady who waited on us was nice(one star) & it was uber clean(one star). We both ordered the New Yorker. What a joke! One slim slice of a "tomato" and WHITE onion with a skimpy slice of Nova & a minuscule portion of cream cheese (& about 4 capers!). We asked for a few pieces of lettuce and we were given iceberg that wasn't even green. Really? This for $7.50?? Ridiculous and so disappointing ! Max"s used to be the place for bagels. What happened? PS to Max"s There is a Publix across the street buy some decent produce!!!

I have to say this is a cute bagel shop with amazing bagels! I thought I would never find a bagel shop compared to Mister Bagel in Portland Maine. The olive cream cheese takes me back home to Portland. Perfect!

This place is amazing. They have such a great selection of bagels, plus the flavored cream cheeses makes the flavors really pop! They don't skimp on the coffee either, whereas some places have great food but crap coffee- this definitely is not one of those places.

BEST BAGELS ON THE TREASURE COAST! These bagels are fresh, fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside! Friendly staff, fantastic bagels, go to max's bagels!

Good bagels. But bagel brothers shits on them. For 50 cents more bagel brothers is twice as much good. Maxs is good but they are skimpy. Also. Don't MICROWAVE and scramble your eggs on a bagel sandwhich. What's wrong with you. Mc Donald's does that

Tasty bagels. Not quite up to NYC standards, but probably the best bagel in the Stuart area. Get there early on weekends or else they start to run out of the popular flavors (I'm looking at you, Everything!). I also like that there's a little outside seating area...sure, it faces the parking lot, but sometimes fresh air is better than A/C.

I used to love Max's Bagels but the last few times I've gone I've been extremely disappointed. The bagels were dry, almost stale and completely tasteless. What happened?

I ordered an egg and cheese bagel. The egg was microwaved and the cheese was white and tasted like paper. I'm actually really disappointed because the bagel and the employees weren't bad. I could of gotten a better egg sandwich, or equal, at mcdonalds.

Bagels are good and its a nice place to have quick breakfast or pick up a delicious sandwich for lunch. Enjoy!

Disguisting experience, went in and bought two of the bagel breakfast sandwiches (Indian St. location). Went with the Classic and the Western. When I realized the Western didn't include meat I inquired and was told I could add meat for an extra charge. No problem, went with the sausage patty, that's when routine turned to disgusting. When the sausage came out of the microwave I noticed a whitish piece on the edge which looked like mold then noticed the clerk clean it off and include it on the sandwich. I asked the young snot nosed guy who prepared it what it was after he finished wrapping it and he lied to my face and said it was a fatty deposit. My mistake was giving him the benefit of the doubt. I paid and walked out with the breakfast sandwiches, but upon eating it I could realize almost immediately that it was a moldy piece of sausage and quickly spit it out. I didn't go back but I'll never go there again and I hope others learn from my mistakes. I can't place all the blame on the young teenage *unk who served me crap, lied to me and charged me for it as there is clear issues with the management who doesn't throw away old moldy food and instead hope to pawn it off on unsuspecting dummies like myself. Don't go there.
