Located in the old Whataburger building, in front of Walmart. When I stopped in today for a quick bite, I realized that I'd been to a Dickey's before, in Texas. I had a two-meat plate, sausage and brisket. I got one slice of brisket, was a little disappointed in that. Jalapeno beans were tasty, as was the potato side, which was almost, but not quite, mashed potatoes. Worth a stop again next time I'm in town. The BBQ sauces are all warm (not room temperature), I liked the spicy version. Oh, free soft serve ice cream every day, and kids eat free on Sunday.

Although the refund was very late, It did get to me. I may or may not eat here again, but I still think it's great the managment got involved, and that they did send me a refund. However, managment did try to encourage me to eat there again, and offered to send a booklet of coupons to my address along with the refund. If the coupons were sent also, it may have given me the extra boost I need to eat there again. Without them is highly doubtful.

Our party ordered the Westerner sandwiches and pulled pork platters. The onion anglers are delicious, the Mac n chz was great, the colored greens were average, and BBQ were just okay. The mashed potato casserole was tasty. All three BBQ sauces were good. The cups for drinks are worthy of keeping as souvenirs. Place was clean, staff was friendly overall a nice place to stop. Very close to Walmart.

I waited to even give my order for over 5 minutes in the drive thru. Prices are outrageous. I'll start taking bets on how much longer this place will be open. Let's say less than six more months.

Terribly disappointing. Out of almost every selection. Dirty and freezing. Was told by the staff that "two previous owners ran the place into the ground and now the franchise has it." The franchise obviously needs to oversee it better. Sad, since I love the Dickey's chain.

I tried Dickie's when it opened and got the wrong order and was over charged. I also had no BBQ sauce when I got home with the Togo order.

Some of the best barbeque I've ever had outside of Texas. (I travel to TX alot!!) Friendly staff could be a little more precise with their order handling, but otherwise, nothing to complain about here. Great addition to Starke and the 301 corridor for those of us who travel frequently to Jax. I stop every trip and get the brisket.

I've been by the Dickey's in Starke over half a dozen times. Some times to eat in, other for BBQ to go. There are a couple of things hurting this place, and I'll be shocked if they can keep the doors open. First is, approaching from the south is a hassle, you have to wait at the light and uturn or go through the Walmart car park to get to it, also if heading north, you have to go wait at a light to get out. This is just pretty irritating, considering they are basically in the middle of nowhere on the South end of Starke. Dine in has always been ok, the portions are good and the fries are always hot and fresh. I generally stick with the pulled pork sandwich when dining in. Their turkey is pretty good, a lot like Bono's BBQ, but usually better. The brisket has been nothing but terrible each time I tried it. I'm not a fan of any of their side except for the waffle fries, which tend to always be hot and fresh. The mac n cheese is good only if you like it runny. Most of the issues I have encountered are when ordering meats to go. I made the mistake of not checking the food before I headed home (30 min away.) On my latest order, they messed up the quantities of each meat. I could have actually lived with that, but the cuttings were downright bad. To start, the brisket was horrendous, no actual slices, just a pile of tough beef and overly crusted fat. I tried to make a single sandwich out of the scraps, but it tasted as if I had just poured blackening seasoning directly in my mouth. The turkey was better, except for the fact that two of the slices were just leathery casing. The pull-pork was fine except that we only had 8oz to feed 4 people (we had ordered 1lb). I phoned the restaurant and after arguing that she gave me the right quantities of specific meats (which they did not), they agreed to replace the order. Being that the restaurant is an hour round trip from my home, the manager agreed to provide the replacement the next time I would be in the area. Two days later they provided full replacements and also offered some sides and drinks. The replacements turkey and pulled pork was fine. The replacement brisket had issues, not only was it dry and tough, it was sliced with the grain, not against it as it should be. I tried a bit, could not bite/chew through it and decided to see if the cats were willing to eat it. They did, but it took them two days to down 8 oz of it. I wish them luck and will return every now and then, but without a few changes and massive marketing, I do not see how they will hold their place with all the competition up the street and around many corners.

Only 1 star because you have to in order to leave review. Deserves no stars. Worst food n tea ever. Went thru drive thru. Tried to get husband to turn around n get refund, but he didnt want to go all way back. Not from that area. The tea tasted like a bandaid smells. Had to pour out. Food made me sick when he opened it. Smelled like a wet stinky dog. NASTY. sauce wss like water. That was gross so called foid. Wasted money. Was expensive too for such little food. Couldn't eat. Never go again n never recommend to anyone. Disgusting!

Good BBQ quickly. Higher quality meats, yummy Southern sides, endless soft serve ice cream and a FREE yellow cup. :) Pulled pork is delish. Can be a little expensive if you don't order it properly.
