We have been going here to purchase groceries, deli and other products during our stay at the Beachcomber hotel across the street. Their homemade Greek food is delicious, produce, fruits and deli very fresh. Pablo was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, much convenient than other grocery stores in the area.
Excellent people, excellent food. Good for cheap and tasty produce as well as sandwiches, meats and cheese. They have Greek beer in the fridge which is pretty good. The gyros are on point and only 5 something. Definitely recommend!
I absolutely love this place. Fresh, healthy, and delicious food prepared to order by the owner, who is always on premises and super friendly. Great vegetarian options made with the freshest ingredients. I've found it's been a challenge to find tasty and satisfying veggie options but this place has many! It's an incredible value - you can easily get a meal here for under $10. If you're tired of the same fattening (pizza, burger, fried fish) sub-par food typically found on the beach, give this place a try. Great salads and hummus to go too. Also have a produce market with fresher fruits and veggies at a lower price than Publix.

Madeleina Cottage Restaurant

For a local restaurant, Madeleina has been great. Tea in china pots, cups, saucers. Excellent service. My wife and I make this a must on our visits, hope you do too. Breakfast has been excellent. Dinners better than you could expect. Tonight we had prime rib and shepard's pie. The prine rib was outstanding, better than most we have in Massachusetts for twice the price. Service was attentive, personal, and more than you would expect. We want them to be a success, put them to the test. You will enjoy! Five stars because of consistency and value. Prove it for yourself!!
Visited with my wife on a slow Saturday before 'season'; we're locals. I had a burger and she had the chicken curry. Both meals came out very quickly and tasted fresh; the burger was quite good. The curry I actually could have gone a bit more spicy on so I'll ask for that next time; they probably keep it a little tame for the typical audience in that neighborhood. Edit; have been back several more times since then and the curry has been great; can't stop ordering the same thing. Fortunately my wife varies things a bit so I try whatever she's eating too. Drink-wise, they had a great happy hour well drink special even though it was Saturday; a stark contrast to the beach bars that feel the need to rip you off on Fri/Sat/Sun. Tried a 'cadillac' margarita too; was a little too much mix but the bartender was happy to top it off so I was happy. Rum & coke was made strong. I'm very picky about drinks and if I feel I'm getting ripped off it will basically be the last time I go to a place, and I'll be going back to Madeleina for sure. Note; there's a one star review from someone who has never even been here; she just chose to call them out based on a news report from four years ago. Useless review; the place is clean from the bar to the booths to the bathrooms.
What a lovely place to discover right here on the beach. Food is very fresh. Wait staff is very attentive and friendly. Food arrived fast for lunch and was quite tasty. Soup was totally homemade and so, so , so yummy. This is a treasure of a place that I never knew served lunch!!!! Check it out.

My wife and I dined here for the second time in a couple months and our excellent experience was duplicated. Audra was a wonderful hostess and Hassan an outstanding server. The food and atmosphere are exceptional. I've read a review that rated this the #1 restaurant in St Pete Beach and I would concur !
Stayed at the Trade Winds for a long weekend as part of a birthday celebration and enjoyed dinner here on our last night. The hostess Audra was wonderful and helpful and our server Hassan was amazing! The calamari was to die for - included peppers and kalmata olives for a great twist! The NY strip was tasty with an espresso rub and the penne vodka was enjoyable as well. We had to the lemoncello sorbet for dessert and Hassan brought it out with a candle even though we hadn't asked. It really made our night! We'll be back when we're in the area.
By far the BEST meal we had in our 7 days in St Pete. Well deserving of five stars. Ben-fatto Palm Court Grill, delizioso pasto! Dim lighting, white table cloths, an extensive wine rack, and beautiful artwork combine for the perfect atmosphere. We began our meal with herb crusted bread which was warm and fantastic. Next we had salads. Although I wasn't thrilled with the artistic interpretation of the classic Caesar Salad, the dressing was great. Another person in my party ordered a Garden Salad which consisted of beats, fennel, goat cheese, and raspberry vinaigrette. Although this salad could use some more dressing, it was fresh and tasty. Our entrees were what really caught my attention. My Veal Marsala was tender and sweet. Another member of my party had Risotto. This was the winner. The Risotto featured garlic, fennel, pancetta, and shrimp. It was so creamy, so rich, that a few bites did me in. I would have trouble finishing the well-sized portion. Great entree. Whether a guest at the Tradewinds Resort, or a local trying to find somewhere for a special evening on Gulf Blvd. Palm Court Grill is THE destination for you!

Update on Rick's. The weekends continue to be spectacular. They have added a couple things since the last review that I love. 1. Lobster Mac and Cheese. Meal in itself. If you are starving or just want really good Mac and Cheese, order it and share with friend. Very rich, right mixture of cheeses. Yum. 2. Smoked Salmon - Awesome. Perfectly smoked. The rub might be just a tiny bit salty but damn. All of the fat renders out, the smoke goes in. Really good. 3. Fish Spreads - This is not smoked mullet, I hate that oily crap. The is a fish spread made with Mahi that it killer. Ask for a couple peppers to go with it. I am not a fish spread guy but this is top notch. Say hi to Sam and Rick. Good people!
Food was delicious and fresh tasting. I got the Rick's Mac n Cheese and the server said it was made to order and I could definitely tell! Very casual atmosphere with great drink specials! $4 margaritas, can't beat that! The staff was very friendly and the service was good. I believe it was the owner who came around and said hi to everyone and gave us all free koozies! I would definitely recommend that you swing by this place either during or after your beach day!
Went here on a Tuesday night after the Spring Break rush with a group. We were seated immediately by a friendly host and after we all settled in, our waitress came up and took our drink orders. They arrived promptly and we put in our dinner orders. We got : fish tacos, blackened mahi mahi with a side of Mac n cheese, and grilled salmon. Everything was solid, no standout menu items, but for the quality, service, and price everything matched accordingly. Place is nothing special from the outside or inside decor wise, but fits the beach theme of St. Pete's. Overall, solid place to eat if you want a step up from bar food without the price tag attached. That being said, the menu offered plenty of bar food options too. Oh, and I forgot to mention: great margaritas! Tasty and cheap!

This place goes as one of my favorite "Romantic Spots!" Walking in one may think it is just a order and go restaurant. But if you walk in deeper past the counters you will admire the romantic atmosphere! The dinning room is in a dimmed light setting. A bottle of wine and Italian artifacts on each wall. The booths are perfect size, not like your over sized "unsociable" tables where you can't hear your other half as they speak to you from the other side of the table. This place you can get comfortable and see the color of your partners' eyes. We both ordered two personal pizzas. I ordered a cheese, mushroom and prosciutto pizza, while she ordered just cheese and mushrooms. But as we waited for our food to arrive, I couldn't help to eave-drop on other customers' orders. One guy ordered the "Fruiti di Mare" full of seafood piled high on a bed of linguine. His partner had "Veal Piccata." again, a good portion and it smelled so inviting! Also from a distant I could smell and notice a huge order of golden fried calamari.. Looked crispy and not overcooked. All I could say is....Wow! So I would try more than just pizza here!! When our pizzas arrived and we took our first bites we both can agree that we love their pizza sauce, thick and sweet and so robust full of tomato flavor! The shrooms where indeed fresh and generously spread over the pizzas. The cheese was very stringy and had the awesome taste of a good mozzarella. Both cooked to a perfect crisp and thin. However, I must let you know if you order any pizza with prosciutto expect it to be salty!! Mine was indeed in the salty side, between the mozzarella and the Romano cheese and slices of prosciutto, it can be a "little over the sea" taste! Keep a red wine or a full glass of pop nearby! BTW - "pop" is a northern slang for soda to all you southerners! Their waitresses where very friendly and accommodating having you feel like they are part of the family. We learned how young the owners are and they actually work both kitchen and dinning area. Pass A Grille has its unique community but to put a romantic Italian restaurant in the midst of it all makes you feel you are in Europe or some romantic retreat.
Been to this little Italian place twice now and although the first time was admittedly better than the last, I think it probably had more to do with it being my second date with my (now boyfriend) that made it more enjoyable than it really merits. The quaintness of Gennaro's is definitely where the intimacy factor could have come more into play but it's nothing like the "romantic" setting that other reviewers have mentioned. The lights aren't dimmed at all (at least not when we went) and there were screaming kids and families with tables pushed up together practically yelling at each other to speak. It wasn't super clean either (our booth seats were sticky with some unidentifiable substance) and food was also on the floor. To finish off this lovely scenario of romance and allure, the waitress we had was clearly not happy in the least to be there (huffing and puffing and generally pissed, and that's after we'd been seated for a good 10 minutes without being greeted). As for the food...eh. I've had better Italian at Hungry Howie's. The food seemed slapped together the last time we went, although to be fair, the first time we didn't think it was so bad (again, might be blurred by good memories)...we ordered a trio parm dish with chicken, shrimp and eggplant, along with pizza and some meatballs. Honesty, the pizza was the best part (using the word "best" loosely); the parm dish was unbelievably soggy and the meatballs were made of mystery meat and then obviously nuked for our thorough enjoyment. It's just not a great place. Definitely better Italian in and around both St. Pete and Tampa, don't waste your money.
First the good: cute little place, very small & homey-very nice servers- pizza looked really good- unfortunately we ordered other things The bad: sautéed mushrooms were not cooked-the lettuce in our salad had drowned, the veal picatta was tender but too thick and served in a soup-ish dish, lobster ravioli was smothered in sauce and tasted like chef boy-r-dee-. Stick to pizza - looked great

This place is awesome! They usually have live music. Tons of outdoor seating on the beach. The food is great... best garlic parm wings I've ever had!!!! On the downside good luck with parking.
Stopped in for lunch on a beautiful day. Waiter, Kenny was helpful with questions on menu. Rum runner and beer to add to our portabello panini and Mediterranean sandwich. Good sized portabello and terrific pesto. The Mediterranean sandwich was loaded with so much meat, yet nicely presented. The kettle chips that come with the lunch is a nice addition. A quick walk back to the beach. Worth a visit.
Good times, good times... There was not a bad time to be had the evenings we camped out at Harry's. Bartenders were friendly and fast, drinks were strong and fruity and the entertainment they had on the weekend were a real crowd pleaser - lots of classics and sing along songs. We had a HUGE rowdy group and gave our servers a hard time, running them around for drinks like crazy but they were good sports. This place is a great place to go with a group and whoop it up - recommended!

I love, love, love this place. It is very inexpensive, lacking of pretense, and the food is good! I take out of town people here all the time and they cannot believe how good it is, the location, and prices. I'm happy as can be day drinking on what typically would be a "school day" while watching March Madness. Does not get much better than this! I would recommend the burgers, tuna, and although I do not enjoy them, my friends love the chicken livers! Where else can you get chicken livers on a menu?!
Out riding the bicycle on the beach and needed a good place to re fuel. It's a bit of a dive and kind of hard to see from the street, but that's what makes it cool. The bottled beers are nice and cold, and the bartender was friendly enough. What blew me away was how great the Ahi Tuna with Seaweed salad was. I ordered it medium rare and it came out perfect, with a nice side of wasabi sauce to dip in. Plus it was just under $10, what a deal !
Ambience is great - small bar that resembles a Key West type of place. Great servers; very fast and friendly. However, the food didn't do it for me. I ordered their Chicken Parmesan (which I heard was amazing) and it simply was far from amazing. But it does have potential. I say that because the chicken is very good. It was perfectly breaded and baked. Not one piece of fat or gristle. But the accompaniments destroyed the chicken. The sauce - probably one of the worst I've ever had. Watery, oniony, just plain gross. The spaghetti was just cheap and ill-prepared, plain and simple. It also came with "garlic" bread, but there wasn't a hint of garlic. It was like stale bread that they threw in a toaster oven. If it wasn't for the chicken, the service and the very casual and cool atmosphere, this would've been a very easy one star review. Get new sauce and Barilla pasta!

First time here! Lots of flavors to choose from. The lady that helped us was really nice! Our group decided on the 2 scoops to get the free cone! Yum!!! Great customer service and we even received complimentary cookies with our order. We are from Orange County (California) and definitely enjoyed the ice cream here. :)
We stopped in last night at 8. There were a few people outside, but the cars were starting to unload as we walked up. Fast forward five min. I count six or so people working the counter and an older woman making waffle cones. The smell was amazing and short lived thanks to the "Fab Six or So." Not ONE had a good attitude. They said "Hi" to the crowd then it went downhill. In fact, the middle aged woman taking care of us which asked who was next and upon raising a hand said, " haven't you already been helped?" Seriously? Do you see a cone in my hand or the hand of the person next to me? Would I have grabbed your attention for shits and giggles? With everyone still in one place, the other patrons had to search for ice cream and someone to help causing a pile up at the door and throughout the place. I'm sure having one register is an issue when you get busy. That's where TEAMWORK comes into play. And having to take four more steps to the CC machine looks like a pain too and should probably be mentioned to the owner but for the love of all that is holy, SMILE ladies! We watched two families of 4+ walk in as we were leaving and left as we got to our car. Maybe the line was too long, maybe they too could see the unorganized mess that was at the head of the circus we shall call Larry's. The ice cream is...eh. Mass produced so nothing special for flavors. Gelato was plenty, but looked old. It had the freezer burn look to some. I had the peanut butter cup with a scoop of salted caramel in a chocolate peanut waffle cone and my man flavor had some peanut butter something from the board in a cup. He enjoyed it. All in all....we won't return. The frequent ice cream shopper card should maybe be handed out with a recommendation to come back. You're on the beach. You have regulars and tourist. Being asked if I will be back with such lack luster enthusiasm as if giving said card was a privilege is a waste.
I visited this ice cream shop last summer. The ice creams and treats menu are plenty, I got two scoops in a cup, and it was yummy. However the teen gals behind the counter left much to be desired. I guess that's how some teens are these days though. They were a bit impatient that we were taking a while to look at the extensive menu. Only two other people were there & they had already ordered before us, so we weren't holding anyone up. One gal even got snappy with a family member of mine. Kinda left a "bad taste" in our mouths. Plenty other ice cream shops to go to. This was last summer-2014, no idea if they are still there.

Worst possible kind of an update. Sadly the Hideaway is now closed. I'm going to miss the Reubens and the fried mac and cheese. Thankfully I have a new favorite place for chicken wings. Anyone been to the Inebriated Bivalve ( yelp.com/biz/drunken-cla… )? Don't miss the Cajun Parmesian Garlic wings there! For a fried mac and cheese fix, Willy's Burgers & Booze is still an option ( yelp.com/biz/willys-burg… ).
