High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

The ambience is great. I particularly liked their wallpapers .the layout is good too.. you can see the bar sitting at the table. Food was good, but not great. Check out the menu pics to explore what's on the plate. What I liked the most is the digital tablet on the table, using which you can place an order, make a payment and play games too. Saves much hassle and time

I am VERY surprised that I went to Applebee's today. The last time was many years ago and it was not a good experience. I said I will never go to an Applebee's again yet this is the place my friends wanted to go so there I was at Applebee's. And to be honest yes they get 5 stars. For what Applebee's is they do an excellent job with service, atmosphere, and food for the price point you pay. The entire team who works here are friendly and on top of providing timely outstanding service. Bravo on the training and bravo to the team who works here. The food is decent for what it is...a chain restaurant. The cocktail that I had seemed to be missing the alcohol yet perhaps it is just a standard of their business to make weak drinks. I recommend that the service team clarifies an order with a customer to confirm proper order size. I don't know the name of the lady who was helping us yet she was super sweet. The man who helped us was Josh and he is super, friendly, and the perfect person to help make a dining experience very pleasurable.

Tonights visit was not a favorite. We have been here a lot in past years but Applebees was fair tonight. The chargrill marks on the chicken were burnt to a crisp. The chicken on the pasta was extremely thin and maybe 4 long slices. The service was slow ans a lot of dirty dishes remained on the table throughout the meal. Three out of four meals arrived and we had to wait for ten minutes for the 4th. The meals were just plain fair quality.

First off Richardo our waiter was great. This was a Veteran's Day celebration and the place was crazy busy. We were a party of seven and he was right there making sure everyone including the five veterans at the table were taken care of with a smile and a wonderful demeanor. The food was very good. The deserts were outstanding. The manager stopped by to ask if everything was good and thanks the veterans for their service. Thanks for the wonderful meal. We will see you again soon.

Chrissy is our awesome server! This Applebee's is always quieter than the others I have ever visited, even when full. The wait time is always spectacular and the servers are on point. They do a great job at keeping clean, except the restrooms. Restrooms can be a little abandoned but always in usable condition. One of the best Applebee's I've been too.

Really? Seriously? I will never get an Entrée from Applebee's again, %99 percent of the time's I've always just ordered the Appetizer Sampler and now I remember why. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was disgusting, the Chicken was dry and tasted nasty, the pasta was tough and hard to cut with a fork. I've had better Hungry Man T.V. Dinners. My Wife got the Riblets and she was not happy, she branched out a little from what she usually orders and she let me eat one. I'm gonna be nice because millions of people like this place but Dog Food does come to mind. Looking back on the times I've taking my Girlfriends and my Wife to Applebees and they had to suffer through Diner without saying anything bad about the food and I would smile through my Appetizer Sampler knowing Ha Ha they can't mess with this.. I will look back fondly on the fact that Applebee's always has the freshest Celery.

By far, one of the worst dining experiences I, and my family, have ever had. Food was terrible, noisy and dirty surroundings. The Applebee's on East Bay is a lot better.

My granddaughter and I went for dinner. The child's dinner should not be eaten. The cheese pizza is stale bread and pasta sauce. The kids yogurt was chunky in some areas. Nice waitress poor meal.

My girlfriend and I ate a late night dinner here, it was a last resort kind of choice since most restaurants close really early. This applebees is pretty much just like any other one - it was fairly busy and loud due to karaoke night. The food was decent. The pasta was a little too cheesy and salty for me but the chicken was delicious. Their mozzarella sticks also weren't bad. That night the system was malfunctioning so our waitress decided to let our dessert slide and we didn't have to pay for it. Awesome! :D I don't remember her name but she was very pleasant and amiable. We'll probably return for another late night meal.

I consider Applebee's good value for the money. Atmosphere can be loud at times, but no different than most other chains. Food is good ... not always great ... but priced well for the total package. A new appetizer on the menu ... pub pretzels I think they call it ... a somewhat spicy breadstick with a hot white cheddar dipping sauce. Awesome in a man-food sort of way!

Wish this place was any good as it is the closest chain bar and grill to me. I keep trying but my food is mediocre on a good day. Usually not good at all. Service for me has been everywhere from awful to great. Bogo drinks are twice the price of anywhere else so I'd rather have drinks be half the price so i can end on an odd number if i want. I have never left here happy with our food. It's busy as can be because of its location but don't let the line fool you.

First off, our waitress Kathyrn, was worth five stars. Witty, funny and efficient she was! The food..well, it was a mixed bag. We were celebrating my friend's 50th birthday and thought this was a good central location to meet at. Our birthday girl got the Penne Pasta with Chicken, my friend got the Southwestern Chicken Salad and I had the Southwestern Jalapeno burger. Well, the Penne came out with diced tomatoes on it and our friend is highly allergic to tomatoes. The menu didn't say anything about tomatoes. The manager, ever so vigilant as she prowled the tables much like a teacher prowls the aisles during a test, was immediately all over the problem and sent it back. My friend didn't get the promised Cranberry/Mandarins which went over the top of the salad and the dressing was way too sweet. (Did they forget to add some vinegar??) My Jalapeno burger was good, however, and it was consumed in quick order. Applebee's has a 2for1 drink deal all day long. Not too bad a deal. For dessert we shared a Sizzling Apple Pie w/a scoop of ice cream. Unfortunately they didn't have a candle to stick in the pie. Not that they should have but it would have been cool. So three stars it is but Kathyrn was wonderful!

The first sign of a problem was when we went to a casual dining - chain like Applebee's and had to park in the dirt with the other cars at a time when it was only about 10% full. When the 5 of us went to our first table it was a table for 4 with 3 of the chairs pinned against the wall and no room to move the table out to access them so we were taken to a high table near the bar. Our waiter, James, arrived quick enough and took drink orders while my wife grabbed the electronic gizmo that allows you to order your meal on your own. Except, this system is a test system, which they failed to mention, and is so new that the vendor's programmer was in the restaurant making changes in a corner table while the system was out to use. Kids food was not available, appetizers were not available and the meals themselves lacked the option of changing sides. I went to find our waiter and let him know we ordered an appetizer since we could't trust the system. Our food was out 5 minutes later... no sign of the appetizer. It arrived a few minutes after we began eating. At this time the manager (no name tag but acted like a manager) came by to ask how we were doing and I explained to him that he needed to pull the new ordering system from the tables if it didn't work. He said he knew it didn't work and the only way to find out what was wrong was to let customers find the problems for them. I said he should probably warn customers it is a test system, since most of us would be happy to help but needed to know in case their were issues. He said it wasn't his problem, he'd comp the appetizer (which he did without us asking) but that since it is a test program he wasn't going to change anything. At this point PTSD was kicking in strong and I was to the point where I just needed to leave to get out of that environment, i couldn't even process thoughts anymore and became disoriented. As soon as I paid I got up to leave even though the others were not done yet... it was that uncomfortable of a place. Our Food - I had a quesadilla burger, which I had ordered at the Pinellas Park mall Applebee's previously. It was cooked so that the tortilla was soft, not crisp and the "sandwich" fell apart on me. very disappointing from a restaurant that is part of a chain of restaurants that are supposed to be equal. I ordered it with onion rings, they were the frozen type; which I am ok with since you expect that from high volume places like this,. However, they were overcooked and i was unable to bite into them. Wife had a burger and fries, hard to mess that up I suppose. 5 year old had a kids steak... we couldn't tell in the dark restaurant but when we got home with the leftovers we realized it was rare to the point of the dark redness reaching the outer edge with no cooked areas to be found. He didn't complain but its not a way of preparing a steak that is appropriate for that age. My father was there, he had the Riblet platter, no complaints from him other than the service, he flat out told the manager he would never come back and he wasn't even the one paying for our "experience'. Overall, if you manage a restaurant that is part of a chain with other locations within 5 miles, there is no excuse for this type of experience. We aren't going to stop going to Applebee's, the kids love it, but we will never return to this location again. We only went to it this time because there were not as many people there... now we know why.
