Great local joint with great views. Came for a 91st birthday while visiting family and really enjoyed the place. The decorations are really fun to look at! I ordered the blackened snapper on a garden salad and it was delish. My boyfriend had the fried shrimp they were huge and very yummy. Overall this really interesting spot and great for some seafood! We even got to meet Bill, fun experience for sure!

I have been coming to Sebastian for the past 13 or so years and I have eaten at the local so called "seafood" places and this by far is the best that I have ever experienced. My wife had a 3 pound spiny lobster which she picked out and was cooked to perfection by Dan. I had the fish reuben(which red snapper was used) and it was incredible. Upon speaking with the owner Bill (who is not crabby at all) he said that catch of the day is literally the catch of the day and his goal is get you the freshest seafood possible. The dining room is great with the history of Sebastian fishing and with a view that is written about in stories. I will now make this a stop everytime I return to Sebastian.

Great food! I had the appetizer shrimp and a cup of stew, the one made on the premises. My grandson had a hamburger that tasted delicious. Jim had a bowl of homemade soup. All was scrumptious. The serving style was a little off. It did not match the quality of the food. You had to order at the counter and they would bring it to you.

I went here with my boyfriend today for a Saturday lunch. We walked in through the fish market section and we were blown away. Huge lobster, big thick scallops, healthy clams, and gargantuan swordfish filets were what we were greeted with. We were very pleased with the food we were served in the restaurant and the lovely view of the river.

Great fresh seafood with an on site market! It's a wonderful place to eat with friends sitting right on the water, the seafood is as fresh as it gets and the beers cold!

Fresh Grouper & Roasted Tuna were awesome. The hand cut potato chips were some of the best we've ever had. Entrance is a bit confusing; market is on the left, restaurant to the right...& you order at the first counter before entering the seating area. Once you're seated it's great food, great view, good company. ;)

We started with ordering the fresh fish. Now we do both! Awesome again! Great takeout and you have to try the lobster rolls - the best! I highly recommend you try it!

The best local and imported fresh seafood !!! Daily offerings change with the tide. The most friendly staff that will guide you from what to buy to different preparations of exotic local fish such as Sheeps head and cobia! Golden tile fish is succulent! Crab cakes that melt in your mouth. Juicy key west pink shrimp. Stone crabs that range from small to colossal ! Their sauces all house made will knock your socks off! I recommend the champagne mustard sauce and Carmine's key line remoulade! The conch salad is so fresh and flavorful! I could go on and on! My next review will be of the newly opened eatery!!!! Go check out this local gem!

I love this place. The fish is Fresh! The fish basket or the fish sandwich is the best quality fish, perfectly cooked. I love sitting outside looking across the ICWW. The market the product and the people are all great.

For the most part, we have been very disappointed in the quality of food and prices in and about Indian River County. Based on a good friend's recommendation, we decided to try Crab-e-Bills located on the Sebastian River in Sebastian. Ordering is done at a window that overlooks the kitchen. The menu, itself, is unimaginative and the prices seemed to be a bit high for similar/exact meals in other restaurants. Based on the food we're used to in Daytona Beach, the prices were exorbitant. I ordered Fish Tacos with Pumpkin swordfish (before you say it, the name is disgusting enough - but at least you didn't have to eat it). The meal was advertised as being accompanied by home-made skillet fries, cole slaw and a drink. I ordered water - and found my choices were tap water or bottled water. I chose the latter. My girlfriend ordered a bowl of clam chowder, a small salad and bottled water. The price of the meal was $27.00. We opted to eat outside. The tables are half-moon wooden contrivances with wooden benches. The seating capacity is small - only 6 tables. There appeared to be ample inside seating. When my meal arrived it consisted of kettle fries with five or six slices of fish - no fish tacos. I mentioned this to the server and he repaired to the kitchen to make it right. When he returned, the potato chips had been replaced with colorful tortilla chips. The fish tacos were made up of fish squares, large grated chunks of sharp cheddar cheese that had been pulled from the freezer - the fish never melted during the meal, nor did its taste improve. I took the plate into the restaurant to have the tortilla chips replaced with what had been promised on the menu. When they arrived, they were cold - unlike the "fresh cooked" description in the menu. My girlfriend's chowder was good - but the salad was bland and nearly tasteless. It had too many tomatoes, not enough lettuce and at least 15 croutons - which were tasteless. All in all, Crab e Bills is an unremarkable, over-priced place to eat. I can't imagine dinner being any better - only the price will increase. Like most of the local places in this vicinity, Crab e Bills fails to "whelm" much less "overwhelm" in terms of good food and reasonable prices. I cannot believe the restaurant has a good rating. Nothing about the meal inspired us to return. All I can assume is that the good people of this county are so used to poorly prepared food that they have equated high prices for good quality. For those of us who have traveled to other climes and know what good food tastes like and the value of such I suppose we'll just have to go elsewhere to find a good restaurant. Thank God we have reasons to go to the Keys and Daytona Beach often enough to satisfy our tastes and our budget.

Last meal good! Grilled grouper Reuben with homemade potato chips! Great view of Indian river with a fabulous breeze. Don't miss it. Perfect for bird watching

My favorite place for lunch. You know the fish is fresh when you bite into it and know it was swimming this morning. This is as fresh as it gets. Always lots of flavor and perfectly cooked. I have never had a bad meal and I always get something different. The lobster bisque amazing I wish I had enough to fill a pool so I could swim in it. The girl at the counter is always helpful and smiley, she suggested the lion fish which I wasn't sure you could eat but so tasty and light. They also make there chips in house and they are full of flavor and crisp. I recommend it to anyone who asked where to get a good lunch.

Lordy! What a find! :-D I felt like I came across a hidden gem but the place was packed! It seams like the locals are in the know on where to go for quality fish. They try their best to keep the seafood local and sustainable. The quality is uber great and really fresh! My first impression was this place is clean and not a fishy odor at all :-) I've been known to walk into a seafood market and turn right around and walk out because of the smell or it looks dirty. Then I started talking to the staff....all the staff was super friendly :-) I mean I just about talked to everyone there even the owner and general manager was out front. Mr Crabby Bill himself wasn't crabby at all :-) he was all smiles and comes across a guy I would love to go out fishing with :-) so not only the place is clean, quality food and service is beyond top notch there is a restaurant attached to the place where you can eat this goodness right away....with a beautiful view of the Indian river :-) I kinda went a little crazy ordering, everything looked wonderful so I didn't want to be burden with having to choose. I had a basket of fried love, that's my name don't try to order it ;-) fried shrimps (omg they were huge!) fried oysters (myfavs) fried clams and homemade potato chips. A nice light full of flavor cup of clam chowder, Mahi fish sandwich, smoked tuna spread, ahi lollipops with a spicy Asian sauce and a nice Key West pale ale to wash it all down :-) I ate it all and then wondering how I can make more room in my tummy for seconds :-) the food was great and the outdoor eating area was a perfect atmosphere to enjoy it. My only issue was I feel a hammock for a nap afterwards would have been nice ;-) if your in the area treat yourself and head on in. Say hi to Jane for me, she is a sweetheart! If you see Mr. Crab-E-Bill don't be shy and say hi :-) he is a cool character and a personality like that needs to be enjoyed by all. Enjoy people and happy eating ;-)

Wow what a selection of fresh fish. They just opened the Eatery in April and if business keeps up they will expand their hours. Worth the drive. Tough to decide what to pick. Wish I lived closer. I just moved my brother down from Long Island, NY and found this on Restaurant.com . Great food and service. Where do you get the owner to come to your table and asked you what you liked? Unfortunately they did not sign up for Restaurant.com , no problem I just exchanged the certificate for another rest. Quite easy to do. They are going to talk to Restaurant.com about getting setup. They gave us free Key Lime Pie to go for the misunderstanding . Best Key Lime Pie, better than the Key West Pie Co for sure. The owner Bill is from Brooklyn, NY ( small world ) and he came out and talked to us throughout the meal. We had Conch Fritters, Blackened Shrimp and Smoked Fish Spread for Appetizers. Best Conch Fritters ( better than Key West ) Shrimp were perfect and Chips are homemade and perfectly fried and light and perfect for the Smoked Fish Spread. Definitely the bomb !!! Need to get FN Guy Fieri here. I had the Conch Chowder and my Brother had the Clam Chowder ( Better than The Soup Nazi's soup ) Only ate half since the appetizers were so filling. The soup is served in styrofoam bowl sso we got lids to take home. It is a meal by itself. I had the Yellow Tail ( Key West Trout ) which was perfectly cooked ( See pic ) and my brother had the Blackened Grouper. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked. I had cole slaw with my dinner and it reminded me of the Best Slaw in NYC ( Ben's Deli). I live in KC and wish there was a place like this locally. One of the best meals I ever had in FL. Can't wait to go back when I visit again. The fish market has a huge selection of premium fresh fish too.

My family and I love this restaurant; it is our source of good, fresh seafood. However, I am highly disappointed in the fact that they no longer serve whole belly clams. Supposedly someone complained about them, and ruined it for the bunch of us. My family and I travel to Sebastian just 2 times a year, and we always looked forward to having whole bellies here. This place was the only one for miles that we could find whole belly clams. I'm beyond disappointed by the fact that a few un-educated snowbirds ruined the experience for my family and I. Please, for the love of seafood, bring your whole bellies back! Don't let a few bad reviews, by a few crabby people, change your menu. Thanks for serving amazing seafood, but please, bring those clams back.

the store is terrific. The pepper encrusted tuna delicious. Very friendly staff and their 'new' inside window is a great place to get seafood, fried, blackened, grilled, whatever. It's a clam shack only inside.

Heard about this place from a local and stopped in 4:30 pm on a Saturday. Place was empty which was kind of scary. The chef said they had over a hundred people in for lunch and we were too early for the dinner crowd. This is a cool place with a seafood market in the front of the building and the restaurant in back over looking the water. If you want, you can buy from the market and they will take it to the kitchen to be cooked like you want it. As you enter the restaurant, you pass the kitchen which has a window and menus and a board listing the catch of the day to order from. The menu includes Appetizers, Sandwiches, Baskets, Soup of the day, Sides, House Caesar salad with different toppings, Key Lime pie for dessert and a good assortment of sodas and beers. Place your order, pay for it and they will bring it to your table. I ordered blackened Cobia fish with house made potato chips and cold slaw.$ 16.00 , a large cup of white clam chowder $ 3.50 and an iced tea $ 1.25, all very good. My wife ordered blackened Snapper Tacos (2) with chips $ 12.00, a cup of Lobster Bisque $ 3.50 and a domestic beer $ 3.00, all also very good. Too bad this place is 3 hours from home but we will be back when we can.

Visiting from California. Had a great Beer Batter Mahi fish sandwich. Nice size. I shared it & still plenty. The fresh made potato chips were to die for. Dipping sauces fresh made to use on everything. Especially Carme's Key lime Remoulade sauce!! We sat outside, nice Florida breeze. Will return :-)

For a small town restaurant, this place is hands down one of my absolute favorites. If you are ever in Sebastian or driving on I-95 and want to make a food stop, this place is an excellent choice. For the last two years I've know of Crab-E-Bills it operated as a fresh seafood market. Aside from fresh seafood they sold a Smoked Mahi Dip. This is an incredible fish dip crafted from the hands of a man who was truly gifted by The Lord. Great as an appetizer with garlic toast this has an miraculously amazing smoked flavor. The ahi tuna kabobs are sold pre-marinated and are recommended by the staff who can expertly guide a customer one their way to preparing a delicious seafood experience. One I saw the seafood market had expanded into serving it's own product I was excited to see what they had to offer. When you first walk in the restaurant is embellished with fishing lures, drift wood, and seafaring collection giving the place a proper theme. You walk up to the friendly cashier, who is very knowledgeable in the restaurants current supply and abilities, and is a huge help for walking one through the menu. I saw their special for the day was a soft-shell blue crab po'boy, served with their home made chips and additionally I ordered one of the beers they served (several of which are local). After being seated and a short wait I was served. This sandwich was crafted to perfection. Beautifully fried soft-shell crab was a treat in itself. The chips were handed sliced very thin homemade chips, not the fries the Brits refer to as chips. In addition I ordered the conch fritters, a fried bite size seafood ball, served with a perfect pairing sauce. This restaurant is very well a legend in the making, after working out a few kinks I'm confident that this place will be very successful.

Had lunch here while driving from Deerfeild to Orlando November 12. My wife had the smoked Albacore tuna sandwich. The best Tuna sandwich we had ever tasted. I had the homemade New England clam chowder. Also excellent. Ate on small picnic tables facing the water. They also have a regular dining room. It is mostly self service for condiments etc. they do bring the food to the table. Great prices and the Florida experience you are looking for. Looks like a typical really cool old Florida waterfront restaurant from the outside but after entering you realize that look is planned. Inside these guys are clean and quality freaks. From the kitchen to the bathrooms this place is spotless. The lady taking the orders, I wish I knew her name, was super proud of the attention to quality.
