Brie, blue cheese, bacon, caramelized onion as a grilled cheese. Tastes 1000 times better than it reads. Fantastic spot for anything grilled cheese. Lady taking order is the reason for less stars. Perhaps she was having a bad two day stretch but amazingly unfriendly for such a pleasant surrounding population.
Was so excited to try this place after reading all of the great reviews however was so disappointed. Bread was way too toasted, almost burnt. Got 2 sandwiches and both were just the same, even the kids grilled cheese!?!!? Not sure if this was typical but not a fan! Lastly, there was NO line - was that my missed sign?
Very good grilled cheese sandwiches. Slightly pricey, but you are in seaside so it's to be expected. I got the smoked Gouda and Ham sandwich. If I were to go back again I would probably do the classic grilled cheese because they seemed to have more of those ready quicker.

Quality coffee shop with quality products? Check. On the beach? Check. Has almond milk [makes masala chai even better]? Check.
This is the coffee shop on the central "square" in Seaside. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but it was chilly and threatening rain, so when a friend wanted herbal tea, I agreed to join her. They've got a pretty long list of teas. I chose the tumeric ginger herbal tea thinking it would be zesty and full of anti-inflammatories needed post race. Sure, it's hard to mess up stocking tea and heating water, but I was impressed with the double cups and how they put the edge of the tea bag in between them to hold it in place for the steeping. That and when I researched the Rishi tea that they were selling on the shelves, I came to find out that it's an iced tea and one bag is designed to make 1 quart. So I was getting super concentrated tea, and I loved it. The coffee smelled good, too.
These guys really know how to throw down some Espresso! I opted for a Triple Breve, with only a small amount of Cream, and they nailed it. If I am ever back in the area, I'll be stopping in!

The Shrimp Shack

Great spot for a quick/casual bite. We walked over after a long first day at the beach and the shrimp salad roll was delicious. Friends had spicy peel and eat shrimp, Cuban sandwich, shrimp cocktail and all were liked. It really is a "shack" but they have some seating on a screened porch or you can eat in one of the beachside pavilions which was lovely.
This was exactly what I wanted for a last meal before heading home. This incorporates everything you want for a low key beach meal. They have fresh raw oysters, steamed shrimp, etc. I got 6 raw oysters and .25 shrimp w a cold beer. All delicious! You can either sit outside over looking the beach or they have a screened porch with cooler air and fans!!
It's a tradition to have Shrimp Shack the minute we arrive in Seaside! I look forward to it every single time!!! 1/2 lb of gulf shrimp and a glass of Chardonnay, nothing better!! So easy and simple but DELICIOUS. We took it to go last night and ate on our rooftop!
