Fantastic pizza! I had the deep dish and my wife ordered the thin crust. Both were delicious. The dough has a delicious buttery taste to it and there sauce is incredible. Ordered out and Diane was a great person to interact with, very sweet on the phone and in person. Will definitely be going back!

Outstanding on all levels. Great food, great service, and great prices. Three different versions of Chicago-style pizza to choose from. I recommend the Italian beef sandwich. A big sandwich with either fries or a salad for $7.49. Make the trip. You will be pleased.

3 stars because although the food was tasty, it's all in the details. The calzones didn't have ricotta in them, the jalapeño poppers were made with cheddar cheese instead of cream cheese, and they don't have red peppers (which I thought was really odd for an Italian place). The house salad and dressing are delicious and the service was quick (we just ordered pickup). I would definitely go again but I think I'll try out a pizza next time.

I went to Rosatis on 12/12/14 while vacationing in Sarasota. While there we ordered a very large chicago-style pizza and a medium sized vegetable special. Both of the pizza's were mediocre at best, the crust was just what you would expect from a pizza place that takes itself mildly seriously. The ingredients tasted like they were straight off of a Sysco truck, and thrown on the pizza with the enthusiasm of someone who ate too much of their own cooking. Now lets get to the good part. We noticed that on the vegetable pizza (that had been incorrectly put into the computer the first time and priced at $30 instead of $16 -- that was a ordeal to get fixed also) there were no mushrooms or onions. We pointed this out to the server the first chance we got, with a hefty layering of north-east attitude she informed us that the "pie" was fine the way it was. Twenty minutes later she came back out and said "I let the kitchen know that you thought there weren't enough toppings on the pizza, so they are aware of what you think". This was probably the most half assed apology attempt I have ever experienced at a sit down restaurant that doesn't serve its drinks in paper cups. I then told her that I would like a replacement pizza that was prepared properly. She looked at me like I was a totally crazy person, asking repeatedly if what I had just said was true. After this mexican-standoff she finally went to order a new one. Thirty minutes after she left, somebody who appeared to be the manager walked over holding a pizza that looked exactly the same as the first. He slammed it down on the table, then --while attempting to look intimidating (the huge beer belly and dorky glasses and ugly skate boarding shoes that shouldn't have been on a 50+ year old man; didn't help)-- he very aggressively informed us that he had taken the other pizza apart and that "under the cheese there were little tiny bits of mushroom and onions". He then very aggressively stared at me like he wanted to start a fight while rudely pushing the new pizza across the table at us. Moral: If you want mediocre at best pizza, with awful servers that dress in awful clothing (yoga pants shouldn't be worn by everyone: ladies), take far too long to serve you and treat you like crap when they do. Managers that physically threaten you and want to argue about what ingredients are buried under cheese, this is the restaurant for you. If you want good pizza and good service, go somewhere else.

My daughter and I went here for dinner. She ordered the Chicken Parm and I ordered the Lasagna. Both were excellent. The service was great. Very friendly. Being from Chicago - We will definitely be going back to try some of the Chicago pizza and other Chicago eats. We just had pizza this week so weren't in the mood for it on the day we went. I wanted to update my review since I have been here now multiple times. This is now my go to place for my beloved Chicago Favorites. The thin crust pizza is fabulous - crispy crust - very tasty sauce and cheese - perfect actually! The Chicago Beef is so tender and the au jus and peppers just make it better. I would definitely recommend this place. The service is always very friendly and spot on.

This joint is only getting a one star because it had decent side salad with good dressing. They have 3 types of crust on pizza, thin crust, double thin and Chicago crust. We ordered the middle crust, which he said was regular, but it was not. It was thicker than regular. We ordered the meat pizza, which took exactly 60 minutes from when he took the order to get it in the table. The woman said they had to cook it a long time and that the waiter told us!!!! Lie ...when we asked the waiter where our food was he said you haven't been here that long. No apology. So we finally get pizza and it was so bad we boxed it up and then decided it was not worth taking. We left 90%. I live close buy and was disappointed because we need a good pizza spot.

Rude owner and server that argued about lack of ingredients on pizza. Received half an apology from server then owner came out and said pizza had everything it was suppose to, even though the veggies were very skimpy.

I've been to Rosati's a couple of times and the first time ordered the deep dish that was great! Takes longer but that's just how deep dish are. The second time we went in and didn't have the time to wait so ordered the thin crust but still had to wait 35-40 minutes? I saw about 5=10 orders being picked up in the time that we got our pizza. There were only a few people in the restaurant so it's not like it was busy at all. Until we got up and started getting annoyed about how long the food was taking the owner spent the whole time sitting at the bar and seemed as if he didn't care about anything. Once the owner did get up and brought the pizza to us knowing that we were frustrated at the time it took, its like he hovered over the table or around the table and even after all that he still didn't even apologize about how long it took. Also while waiting we still had to get up and wait to get our sodas refilled. Its not like they were under staffed its they just didn't care. One of the biggest slaps in the face is there was a couple that came in 10-15 minutes after us and they got there pizza same size and type five minutes before we got ours? Although the pizza is good I will never go back there ever again because of the service. I could understand if this happened if there were no managers, but the owner was there and sat at the bar the whole time! If you have an hour or two to get a pizza than this is your pizza place! If you want fast service go anywhere else! Go to Demetrio's Pizza for great pizza and fast service!! And no I don't work for them they just treat there guest like family.

It's hard to find deep dish in Florida, so I'll take what I can get. But that being said, what really stood out for me was the staff. They were super friendly and helpful in figuring out what I needed to be ordering. Just a warning, it takes 45 mins to get a deep dish pizza. So either, call ahead or be prepared to wait.

This was the second experience and the last. The first was overpriced, average pizza at best. This time never got that far. The staff is incompetent and the management was rude and have no business owning and running a restaurant. By the multiple bad reviews of similar complaints, I am correct in my assessment. This place will be gone by June. I will be sending a complaint to corporate.

Here you go from a family from the city. Not the 'South Suburbs' and nowhere else than Bridgeport, Chicago. Beef sandwich was dried out, horrific, reheated and disgusting. Chicago dog was plump and suspected not to be Vienna beef, but the toppings including the poppy seed bun, were great. As for the pizza? Thin crust with sausage, mushrooms and black olives- the toppings, including sausage, were fresh and tasty. Sauce was fine, not overly sweet or too much sauce. Crust was super doughy and our least favorite part of the pizza. Pizza was cut in squares. Update. My wife and I were extremely happy to see square cut pizza in SRQ since it's hard to find. All pizza should be cut in squares and no ketchup should ever be on a hot dog. We had beer at their bar before. Both times, beer was flat. No sense in having $5 pitchers of beer if it's flat. We'll stick to Joey D's for football this year again.

We stopped in on a Sunday for lunch. I was shocked by the fact you had to order at the bar and Cash out at that time. So,every time you want another beer you have to cash out again and again each time. The order taker had a marshmallow for a brain. We had a coupon and she messed up the order three times trying to ring up our order. She omitted the pepperoni on our Kids pizza all together. Was not going to ask for a re-make after we got cold and raw Chicken wings. We told the manager and he had no answer. Just looked at us.As to cost. I felt a bit too pricey for the lack of quality and no service. Maybe when they are open longer, things will get better. I will not know.

I visited Rosati's for the first time this past weekend with my family. We all enjoyed Rosati's very much! Great food- quality, fresh ingredients and very friendly wait staff and service!! Have dined here 3 times and each time I've had a good experience. Highly recommend!

We visited Rosati's over the 4th of July weekend because we had a living social deal. It's located in a shopping center that we visited regularly when we lived in the area, so we were very comfortable with the location, next to FinDaddy's. Upon walking in we were greeted very nicely by the woman behind the counter. She gave us a few menus and told us to sit down and she would come by to take our drink order while we decided what we wanted. 10 minutes went by and she never made it over to us, as she seemed to be all by herself with about 4 other tables in the restaurant. We were ready to order, so my husband ordered the drinks along with the food at the counter. We ordered the dough nuggets (yummy!) and a chicago style pepperoni pizza. I also ordered a chicago hot dog out of curiousity, with a side salad. We really enjoyed the nuggets, but didn't want to fill up on them, so when someone walked by we asked to box them up, so they took it back to the kitchen. A good while passed after that and when the pizza finally came out it was very good. Wonderful crust and a robust tomato sauce. The hot dog was not my favorite, but I'd never had a Chicago dog before to compare. We still had not received our dough nuggets box back, as there seemed to be some confusion in the kitchen about who it belonged to. After finishing our meal, we requested a box for our leftover pizza as well. It took a bit, but we received both boxes so that we could leave. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the friendly staff, but it seems the organization in the kitchen could use some improvement. We love that the food is made fresh to order, but we couldn't have stayed that long if we were in a hurry to get somewhere. It was a very leisure visit for us and we enjoyed it!

I really like Rosati's. I have been here at least 4 times in the past few months. The Chicago Beef sandwich (and the similar "Big Chief" with cheese) are fantastic as are the french fries which are among my favorites in Sarasota. The prices are fair and the service is always very good. They have a decent selection of draft beers including Goose Island IPA. My only negative is that I'm not a fan of the pizza. The sauce seems a little too sweet to me, I prefer a little thicker crust and I dislike the pizza cut into 30 - 40 little squares instead of the traditional 8 slices. Give them a try. I have a feeling you will enjoy it.

Chicago Style Pizza and Sandwiches, close to the downtown area. Just stepped in today during my lunch break to try their Chicago Style foods. I ordered an Italian Beef Sandwich and a bowl of Minestrone Soup. While waiting for my order to be done I noticed how the pizza looked when a customer ordered it at her table. It looked cheesy and made to her likings. When I finally dug into my chow, the soup was first. The minestrone had plenty of veggies and a flavorsome broth, the pasta they used is the mini-pene! Delicious! The beef compared to another local Italian Beef establishment was a little anemic. But the flavor was there! It was good, all it needed was just to add a bit more slices of beef to complete the overbearing crusted bun! Am I in favor of this place? - yes! I am eager to try their pizza next.
