Can't help but rave about this place. Not only do they have some of the best "Midwest comfort food" in three counties but they are very kind to our veterans! On behalf of myself and a local VFW post, thank you for your continued support!

Had Ronnie D's with thin crust. Pretty average pizza. Had large cut toppings which I like.

This is the Best pizza in this area. Parking needs to be upgraded. Consider a take out window drive in. We could call and order ahead and then drive up and pick up. Food is delish. Staff is friendly. We'll continue enjoying. Rating. Five star

This place has the best Italian beef sandwich in Sarasota. It's good by Chicago standards, even.

First time coming into this property since they bought it from a recent restaurant a year ago. This is now the third family franchised Chicago Eatery in the greater Sarasota Area. I have ordered what I know, the Italian Beef sandwich with sweet peppers and a corn rolled tamale with fries. My friend Mike ordered the Cheese Steak sandwich. My Italian Beef was as expected and the tamale was cooked just right. My friend's Cheese Steak (per his say) was pretty tasty and filling. He said the cheese had great flavor and the "steak" was marinated pretty good, too. The only thing I could say is that this place being at it's new location lacks parking! It is almost difficult to park at the restaurant itself. Hopefully they will lease some surrounding land to increase the parking space. Other than that, the service was ok. I know being new and people still in training the service was a tad slow. But friendly. I certainly will return - perhaps at a time where the busy-hour has slowed down to find good parking spaces or "if" they get to use other lots nearby for their customers.

Not a good first impression, the food was terrible. I had a Chicago dog, fried calamari and a cheese steak sandwich. The Chicago dog was just ok, not much taste to it other than the sport peppers, the calamari tasted like it was frozen and heated in a microwave, and the cheese steak sandwich was also very bland and tasteless. The service was good, the restaurant is small and intimate which I prefer but it was also very hot, the air conditioning was broke and there was one fan blowing air in one direction only. Maybe I should've ordered pizza and wings and I would've been satisfied.

We've dined in once and had delivery once. The crispy crust never happened. Bad pizza. And the margarita pizza didn't even resemble a margarita pizza. No more.

Usually eat at the Joey D's in Bradington. First time in this Joey D's. The place was very crowded when we arrived. Server was unattended, and neither of us got the meals we ordered, although she insisted it was what we ordered. Fries cold. Lunch mate had to ask for her fries twice. Will give it a try again as the food when delivered was good. But service at 14th is always good and s is good!

I was very excited to go to this place, since there's not too many Chicago pizza places around. The pizza is very delicious. I had the meat lovers and ate the next day the Italian beef sandwich , which was superb. You can tell when an entree is good when you bit into it and it pulls apart. They also have TVs and a patio. The lunch specials and The service was decent. The only thing brings this place down is the parking, and dining area isn't that big. But , I highly recommend if you have a pizza fix and your in the area.

We managed to get parking by arriving just past 5, which was lucky because spots are limited. Service was great at first but the place got packed full quickly and you can tell that things were starting to back up. Still, it's a new location and there were TV's set up so my friend and I didn't mind at all. We had the chicken Parmesan spaghetti, cheese garlic bread, and Chicago pizza. My friend said her pizza was on point, and the cheese garlic bread was delicious. Unfortunately, my chicken parm was rather forgettable. The pasta wasn't well salted and the chicken and marinara both lacked flavor. Overall, it's a nice place for a very filling meal but I'd probably go with pizza next time instead of the pastas.

Eggplant sandwich was very tasty. Very light not the heavy greasy taste you get from some places. Felt for the price, it should have been bigger. Pizza tasted great but was cut weird. Not cut in the normal 8 to 10 but cut in a lot of little pieces. In their defense, it did say Chicago style so maybe that is what they do there. Would give it another try. They did not skimp on the toppings. That you for sure got your monies worth. The restaurant on the inside is quiet small but is nicely decorated and cute. Maybe it was larger than it appears but it was packed since it was a downpour. They also deliver which is helpful when staying a one of the many hotels in the area. We ordered and packed it up and even with the restaurant being busy it was ready within 5 minutes of when they said it would be and boy was it hot. I would recommended this place for anyone having that pizza craving even with the fact that they cut it weird. Weird in a good way.

Amazing food! Best part of our visit was our waitress Maggie! Nicest waitress ever! Chicago style hot dog is a must!

We love Joey D's. My wife is from the South side of Chicago and I am from the North side of the city. This is as close to ChiTown food as you'll get. Fratellos in Bradenton has darn good beef sandwiches. I digress. We miss the great food of Chicago, Greek Town and Marios Lemonade. Go to Joey D's!

If your looking for some awesome pizza this is the place to go. The crust was amazing and sausage was amazing. The service was quick and with a smile. The young that served us was very sweet and ensured everything was perfect. You will differently have 2 new customers for as long as your here.

The salad is not fresh at all. At least a day old. The beef tamale are one of those you heat in the microwave. And the Chicago deep dish pizza is not at all like the real thing. Pizza has no taste. This is misleading for those who know what a true Chicago deep dish pizza taste like. Overall I had better pizza at chuck e cheeses.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
