First the Italian ice. It's full flavor, they have a ton of flavor choices, it's great. They have hand dipped ice cream, but I've never tried it because of the soft serve. The vanilla is the best vanilla soft serve I have ever had. It's crazy good. It tastes like frozen custard to me, as if it has more fat than the average soft serve. I alternate between dipped in chocolate or dipped in rainbow sprinkles, depending on if I'm eating it in my car or not. : ) When you layer the amazing vanilla with a fruity Italian ice in a gelati you get the best of both worlds. Free ice cream for dogs. Free small Italian ice or ice cream for active police, firefighter and EMT personnel. Seasonal treats, red white and blue Italian ice for the 4th of July, pumpkin flavored treats in the fall, egg nog ice cream for winter. On Tuesdays they have a $2 special that they announce on social media. There's only 2 or 3 parking spots, so drive thru. Getting in from the southbound side of 17-92 is a pain.

The ice cream at Sal's is really good. I typically get a hot fudge sundae but the rest of the family gets cones and itialian ice. Everyone loves the flavors they have and the sundae's are really good. You basically get to add whatever toppings you would like and they are generous. I highly recommend it for drive thru or using their walk up window.

This is definatley a great little place. I'm not sure how long they've been around, but they definatley get plenty of customers. I went there with my choice already planned based on their detailed website but was dissapointed to find that the flavors listed there didn't match what they actually had, so be cautious of that. I was left making a decision quickly and worried that I wouldn't like it. Well I worried for nothing as the banana gelati was yuuummmmeee! Hubby got the strawberry shortcake Sunday and couldn't finish it because there was too much of it to eat. Can you imagine that? I can't wait to go back again and try something else on the menu. Oh and for any dog lovers, the dogs get their ice cream free, afterall, without pockets, where would they put their money? ;) Just look for their sign that explains it exactly that way. My only thoughts on what could be better is more parking and somewhere to sit. They have only about 3 parking spots and two benches. You could probably park at the shopping plaza next door if need be.

My kids and I love all the different flavors of Italian ice that they offer. My favorite is the island breeze. the Gelato is good, so is the soft serve but not thing special about those. A second store is on Lake Mary Blvd.

Having been to Sal's and Jerimiah's in the same week, I can honestly say that Sal's is better. Their vanilla soft serve n their gelato is far superior.

I wish I could give this place, like, a GAZILLION stars!! Been here everyday for the past 3 days. Got a regular vanilla cone each time (4-5 inches of luscious, velvety, rich ice cream). Enjoyed myself immensely on each visit! =D

Sal's is ALWAYS a good choice! The soft serve is so velvety and delicious and their shave ice is just as good! I wish they would bring back the Reese explosion Sunday! YUM

This is the 2nd time I've come here. I will make a point to visit every time I come to the Sanford airport. It is only about 8 minutes away and the people who work here are VERY nice.

Since moving to the area last year Sal's has become our favorite place to stop on a hot day for ice cream. We like to park, order at the window and sit in the cute little patio area. The Gelati (my absolute favorite ice cream treat) is the perfect mix between Italian ice and smooth soft serve! My daughter always gets a brownie sundae full of chocolate.

This place is amazing! It's a bit tucked away and can be hard to see coming down the road, but once you find it, you'll definitely be back for more. Everything I've tried there is delicious: gelati, dipped cone, reese's explosion (my favorite!). Really, something for everyone, and all very good.

Cute place with delicious deserts! Their prices are wonderfully low, and their food is great. They have everything from italian ice, milkshakes, sundae's, and gelato (what I got). Very fast great service and good prices. Take the drive through or order through the window (they have tables). You can treat the whole family for a nominal sum. Great job!
