Came here for the first time today with expectations of good fish based on other reviews. Needless to say I wasn't let down. I got their catfish basket which was seasoned well but not too much. It came with fries and hush puppies. All the food seemed fresh and cooked well (not burned or tasting like old oil like some places). So two filets of catfish, an orders worth of fries an four hush puppies for 9$ an change. Totally worth it to me. Will definitely be back.

WOOOHOO!!! I found my new fav fish place. Found this place through my fav review site (yelp) and decided to stop by to grab a bite to eat. The menu is simple and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is small but very clean and pretty nice. I ordered the Tilpia basket which came with fries and hush puppies, which is priced at $8.00.... my hubby order the Chicken gizzards with fries and drink for $6.00...and boy Oh BOY... was it GOOOOOOOD!!!!! The fish was fresh and I do mean FRESH.... fried very well to perfection. The hush puppies were super yummy! We were extremely happy to have found this place that serves fresh food. We say Ms. Pat before we left and told her how much we enjoyed our food and we will be back for sure. The restaurant is only open on Wed/Thur/ Fri & Sat... and on Sat, they open from 4pm -12am. I'll be going back tomorrow, and the next day and the next day..LOL!! I would highly recommend this place...good price.... good food... super friendly staff... and did I say the food is GOOOOOODDD!!! *GO HERE*

A Yelp event taking place in Sanford brought me to Ms Pat's as I had some time to kill and was rather hungry. The first thing you'll notice immediately upon walking in is the smell of deep fried goodies, and Ms Pat working away in the kitchen. The hard wood floors are beautiful and overall clean and well kept in my opinion for a fish n wings place. I placed my order and waited about fifteen minutes before I picked it up. I had the 8 piece wing dinner with coleslaw instead of fries. The wings were delicious, the hot sauce on the side was forgettable and the coleslaw was very tasty. I'd come back again in a heartbeat to try something else out if I'm ever in the area.

Great food! Got some fish and wings. Fish was perfectly fried and really tasty. Hush puppies and onion rings were excellent. The wings had a really great flavor to them but the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the wings were really tiny. Maybe it was just the batch I happened to get but some of them were smaller than my thumb. Luckily, the prices are reasonable so next time I'll know to just order more!

Really well done. It's by no means fancy, but hey it's fried food. The place is super clean and the staff friendly. Since we live right down the street so we usually get it to go and everything is still super crispy by the time we get home. I've had the grouper and fried shrimp, both fried and seasoned perfectly. Fries are crispy and salted, hush puppies fluffy and kind of sweet, onions rings are probably best I've had. The wings are small, not denying that, but cooked nicely and the extra hot is indeed that. The best thing is there is no bitter aftertaste to anything I've tried there, which means they change their fryer oil regularly. Also nothing was greasy. All in all, very good and will continue to go there for great fried food.

THE MENU PRICES HAVE CHANGED!! Just got the grouper basket 10.99, and the 8 piece shrimp basket 8.59 a few hours ago...AMAZING! But I gotta say, the portion size was the listed YELP price of 6.99 apiece...Will I go back, ABSOLUTELY...the gal behind the counter made the change to the YELP price without blinking an eye, that's why I gave her the 5.00 difference in a tip. Ms Pat, get with it, and change the prices on YELP so there is no problem when you arrive expecting to pay one thing and they tell you something else!!!

Just had the fried grouper basket and it was outstanding! The sides I chose (fries and hush puppies) were also top-notch. I am VERY picky about fried fish and hush puppies and I was completely delighted. This place is hard to find right now because of the construction on Sanford Avenue, but I promise you it's worth the effort -- the business needs and deserves to be supported while Sanford Avenue businesses are having a tough time -- you won't be sorry if you make the effort!

I tried the grouper dinner and the wings. The grouper dinner was crisp, fresh tasty and abundant. The hot wings had a nice kick. My son tried the fried shrimp and loved it! They have a diverse menu with something for everyone from fish to burgers.
