Ordered an Italian hoagie, yes I said hoagie. One slice of provolone one slice of ham and three slices of salami per half. I ordered it cold. I'm from the north east, Philly specifically and we take our hoagies serious. Maybe their other menu items are worth the money but their hoagies/subs are so not worth any amount of money. Again this review is strictly about the hoagie I had and I have not had any of their other food which might be great.

On a recent trip on 17-92 from Longwood, just north of the Seminole County Courthouse, the "Kiko's" sign caught my attention. I was starving so I decided to give it a try. My first impression was a very good one. I was greeted with friendly smiles and a very clean environment. They had a pretty extensive menu with the usual pizza items but I was surprised that it also included some pretty impressive dinner items, as well, such as Veal Francaise and Frutti De Mer. It was lunch and I order a small cheese pizza. It was delivered quickly to my table and was the sauce was, no doubt, homemade by the restaurant and was delicious, not to sweet, not to acidic. I have shared my experience with many of my friends and plan to return soon to sample one of their dinner entree's. Should you find yourself in the neighborhood, I highly recommend Kiko's.

We had a party of 18. It was my first time there. Mary waited on us. Just her. And she kicked butt. Had the pizza. It was yummy. I definitely will return.

Soo much more than Pizza!!! First visit. What an awesome surprise!! We will definitely be back! Huge traditional Italian menu! Bruschetta is 8 piece order loaded with tomatoes, to die for! Shrimp Scampi with fresh, large and generous portion of shrimp. I had traditional spaghetti and meatballs with added huge mushrooms and it was some of the best I have ever eaten. Staff courteous and attentive. Our new favorite place! Pet friendly outside seating, ample parking. What more could you ask for!!??

Their food is really good and it's decently priced. We've had the ravioli, Alfredo and their pizza and all were great. Huge portions and amazing garlic bread!! A must try!!

This is a cute little place, mainly writing this review because of the sandwich. Get the super sandwich where the wrap it in dough and bake it. So much better than a normal bun. Will come back

Wow! The food was so good. My wife and I split the dinner Chicken Marsala - so much flavor, with the perfect balance of mushrooms and garlic. My kids shared a cheese pizza, and said it was the best pizza they've ever had! My non-pizza eater had the chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers were actually breaded on site, so it was nothing like the typical "kids" style chicken fingers. They were tender, breaded perfectly and fried without sucking the flavor or moisture out of them. My picky 5 year old finished every last one (didn't hurt that the fries were great, too!)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
