High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

The waitress was nice, but started our meal telling us that they don't have any of the specialty drinks on the first page of the menu. We asked is that all the time, or just that night - no, all the time. So, why are they on the menu? She doesn't know. Then the food was mediocre and greasy. I don't expect fine dining from Beef's, but I expect better than what I got.

Ordered wings to go. Not satisfying at all. Hardly any sauce on the wings. Not a good start. Cole slaw was warm. Kinda suspect, if you ask me. Might give it a go in a couple of months. I'll let you know how it goes.

We order take out about once every 2 weeks and sometimes weekly. The food has gotten progressively worse. Tonight the pub chips were overlooked and had little to no bacon or cheese on them. And the boneless wing were dried out and almost burnt. This will be the last time I spend my money there when I can go next door to longdoggers for decent food.

Great food. Sports bar atmosphere but you feel comfortable leaving your wife and kids behind when your team is losing!

Great sports bar to watch games. Wide open dining area and huge high def projection screen. Outstanding for football Sunday's for the whole family.

My boyfriend loves their straight fries BUT he just called and specifically asked for them (not just fries - straight fries because he doesn't like the curly) and when he gets there and pays and even tips and walks out the door and then checks the order in the car. They have him curly. So he immediately goes back in and says, "hey, hate to bother you, but I specifically ordered straight fries and you guys gave me the curly". The girl says "sorry we are out and we were busy" and immediately walked away. Don't be charging people for things they didn't order. You wouldn't serve fish if we order a burger and expect us to pay and eat it, what is the difference especially when we specifically asked for "straight fries" on the phone ordering it and were not told the straight fries were out when we ordered. Be on top of your game yo.

Friends took us here on our last night in Florida. They come here frequently and usually enjoy the experience but I'm giving the 2 stars strictly on our first time experience. We arrived early evening on Taco Tuesday, very busy. We managed to get a booth in the back corner. Our orders were taken fairly quickly but that's where the quickly ended. We waited and waited, server finally came over and said our orders were coming up and then we waited some more. When our orders finally arrived, everything was, not surprisingly, luke warm. Two orders of wings, one wing basket (wings with fries) and a philly cheese steak sandwich with onion rings and nothing arrived hot. But we were hungry so we started in on the food. I had ordered medium wings but there was no sauce and very little flavour. I guess that explained why my friends ordered theirs extra wet, a concept foreign to me because whenever I've ordered Buffalo style wings, they always come plenty wet. We finally managed to flag down our server, one order of wings were sent back and we explained our issues with the food and asked to speak to the manager. The server left and came back and said they would remove two wing orders from our food. A few minutes later someone, possibly the shift manager, came by the table. We explained our issues. She said it wasn't the fault of the kitchen because they were putting out orders quickly. So basically she was throwing the servers under the bus. Maybe it was the servers fault, there didn't seem to be many around for the busy night but then they really didn't seem to be hustling much. The manager also made excuses about the dry wings saying they were having customer complaints that they were too wet. Blah blah blah. She brought more sauce and I finished my wings, only because I was hungry. Not sure when we'll be back in the area but probably wouldn't waste our time coming back to Beef o' Brady's. My advice, if you walk in the door and it's busy, don't bother finding a table.

Don't eat here. Repeat: don't eat here. Sat at a booth. The previous person that cleaned the booth forgot the dirty towel and set it on the ledge between the two booths. Thought it was extra napkins until the smell hit me. Staff doesn't clean the massive amount of paper that falls underneath. Caused a slip when I stood to leave that resulted in me banging my toe against the metal table leg. Food was mediocre. Ordered chicken tender and BBQ ribs appetizer to split with my husband. Chicken and French fries were not freshly fried and definitely had been sitting under a heat lamp, which is worrisome on that account since if the food was sitting already cooked, why did it take over 15 minutes to bring it out? The ribs were disgusting and pink on the inside. We not finish them. In addition, the kitchen does not cut them so we had to do so with a butter knife. It was messy. Oily and bland are great adjectives to describe Beef's ribs. No towelettes were offered. The staff did welcome us when we entered the building. Food runner was visibly displeased that she had to come back to our table to bring us silverware and plates. Server came at appropriate pacing times but took too long to take our order, check in with us, and bring our check when asked. She did have no problem talking and joking at length to the table behind us though. Waited to go to the bathroom a home. I didn't want to possibly add to an already disgusting experience. My husband actually apologized to me when we got to the car for suggesting Beef's for dinner. I mean, all we wanted was cheap bar food, but we could have ate at McDonald's, ordered a McRib and chicken nuggets with fries, and ate in the car in the parking lot to have a better dinning experience. We won't be returning. Ever.

This was our first time here and since we just moved to Viera, always looking for good restaurants. This is a hole in the wall in a strip mall so my expectations weren't high but they were offering a great Mother's day deal so how better to show your wife and mother of your son your love and appreciation than to get her a free meal, right????:-) At any rate, the menu online looked great, it's 3 minutes from the house so we gave it a shot. All I can say is I'm glad we did!!!! Service from Amber was outstanding, the prices, even without the free meal, were very reasonable and the quality, we just had burgers and cheesesteaks but quality for value...definitely worth it and the cheese they used on both was excellent and perfectly melted!! TVs at every booth and a cheesy game room for kids in the back but hey, it's something. For us, price, value, quality and location...It's a perfect combination for us to be regulars here. It's a casual place, just like us!!!

Good bar food, but the last 2 times we went here there were unsupervised little kids running around all over. I can't imagine going back anytime soon.

Great place to chill, kids eat free on Tuesday and they have a balloon guy for the kids, great chicken tacos and tv's at all booths for the kids. Serves beer and wine ...would love to see alcohol offered. Can always find something on the.menu and have always had good service and good food

This place sucks! Called to confirm that a games was playing and then when I got there guess what! They lied! NO GAME! Don't believe what they say - they are not dependable.

Good atmosphere, good food, good service. TVs everywhere, sports 24/7. Loved it. The bar was subpar. Bartenders looked at us as drunks even before we had a beer. The bartenders acted kind of snobby, and I didn't even talk to them.

We dine here a couple times a month. I can't speak to most of the items on their menu, as I almost always get either wings (always fresh hot, large, and tasty) or an O' Brady Burger.. rare !! (yum) I've tried wings from Long Dogger's (down the road) a couple of times, but always find myself back at "Beef's" !
