Great for breakfast and lunch. The $4 lunch specials feature a choice of meat and two sides (rice, beans, salad, etc.) - and are tasty and generously portioned! The breakfast specials are equally filling and CHEAP. Good cafe con leche. Get a batido! It's a refreshing, $2 way to end your meal.

Stopped by while in the area, hoping for a good empanada and pan de bono. There is an older lady who works behind the counter who was so friendly. She was having personal conversations with some of the other customers who appeared to be regulars, which made it feel like a real neighborhood restaurant. They have cuban and colombian style empanadas. I prefer colombian and ordered two cheese and two beef. The empanadas were good, although not as fresh as I would have preferred. Unfortunately, they were all sold out of pan de bono by 10am, but the kind lady behind the counter offered me their pan de yuca. The pan de yuca was also a bit stale. I also ordered fresh orange juice, which was delicious. Prices are reasonable, it came out to about $10 for four empanadas, two pan de yuca and two orange juices. If I make it back in the area I would try their sandwiches, which other reviewers seem to really like.

Three and a half stars. This is review is base on a few visits. Highlights- Pan de bono was very tasty. Yuca fritas were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beans and rice were very flavorful. Decent Cuban sandwich. Con - Slow service. I watched as a potential customer come in and stand at the counter for 5+ minutes. He was completely ignored by the staff, no "hello" or "be with you in a minute", so he just left.

Called to place an order the Cuban lady taking the call was very rude and angry because was Sunday 12:35pm and said they did not take orders to go because the store was about to close (1:30pm) I even offered to give my credit card info over the phone until finally I told her my full name and Phone number and address and finally agree to take my order I assume this person is not the owner because other wise will take the order with a credit card. Business owner of Antioquena at Plantation if you get to read this try talking to your personal not to be so RUDE and ARROGANT. I will never ever go or Oder anything from that place and will tell all my friends about HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS.

Great little place for some good breakfast and Latin coffee. Prices are very reasonable and great service! FYI... The address is south of Broward not north as the map indicates.

i had the CASUELA DE MARISCOS (seafood soup) and i can honestly say this is the WORST I've ever had anywhere, seafood was was frozen, extremely chewy and to top it of they throw some nice big chucks of ARTIFICIAL CRAB MEAT lol. the server tried to bring it up to management and he refuse to do anything about it which i was not looking for any monetary compensation rather i was expecting for him to come to the table and maybe offer something different but that never happened. before i left i approached the so called manager and his answer was the soup here is delicious LMAO i hope you read this some day so that you know how much i wanted to slap you in the face you fucking dick. ser manager no es tender cara de culo detras de un counter, mucho te falta para ser manager.

I'll start by saying: it is south of Broward- if you use gps or something like to find it. Thank you Daniel P for including that in your review. Parking is limited in the front but you'll find some more at the back of the building. Only my first time here but i will be back. I had the Cuban Sandwich and it was delish! Prices can't be beat either.

Fort Lauderdale may be close to Miami on a map, but it's a world away when it comes to Cuban food. In Miami, finding good cuban / hispanic food is not a complicated tasks. In Fort Lauderdale, you need to know where to go. Finding a really good spot demands the Ponce de León inside of you to explore the land of strip malls. In one such strip mall just west of downtown Fort Lauderdale, you'll find La Antioqueñita. On the outside, it's a Colombian bakery / restaurant. Inside, there's a Cuban mother and daughter that will prepare the best Chicken sandwich ($4.50) this side of Calle Ocho. I've been going there for years. It's a can't miss spot. Get yourself an Ironbeer. But, make sure to not miss out on the Colombian empanadas (under $1), and make sure load in the Aji Pique from the bowls on the counters. Finish off your meal with colada ($1) or a cortadito ($0.75). While speaking spanish helps, they also speak english - just be patient. The reward for your efforts will be an incredible meal.

I tried the Bandeja Paisa , a big platter of various Colombian items - carne asada, chicharron, a fried egg, an arepa, avocado, plantains and rice, and it was very tasty!! also tried the morcilla (blood sausage) and that was delicious. I have visited Colombia twice and the food here seems authentic and good!! this is a casual restaurant and bakery in a strip mall. restaurant is clean, staff are friendly. I tried one of the bakery items, a sort of Colombian version of a cannoli filled with arequipe (like caramel), it was quite tasty also.. prices are reasonable and the people who work here are very friendly - I will be back!!

If you drive too fast you might miss it! This small Cuban/Colombian bakery has the best sandwiches in Broward that I've had. The fish and the steak sandwiches are my favorite ones. Staff is friendly and prices are great.

Nice little hole in the wall bakery. Had the cuban sandwich, which was ok, but I'd go back for the cheap, delicious, filling empanadas.
