I am literally obsessed with this place! I lived in Pensacola for a few months and ate here almost every week. I tell everyone I know that lives in P-Cola or will be visiting to eat here and i make sure to stop every time I am in town. I am so in love with this place I don't even know how to describe the food other than to say it is hands down the BEST greek food I have ever had...do yourself a favor and go here, you will LOVE IT!!

A nondescript roadside hut - don't judge this place by its cover. Georgios is there serving the food himself. Ordered the gyro; it was served quickly and was delicious. Georgios didn't skimp on the feta or tzatziki sauce - the gyro was absolutely loaded. Overall, this was a great gyro for the price and is definitely worth a quick stop if you're driving by or in the area. I'll be back.

I have driven by this place account. Well today is the day, because it's the day that I see a line at this dumpy little stand. When I say dumpy little stand I don't want to over exaggerate but it could dump. And the original Georgio's authentic Greek food couldn't shoot it better except food is fantastic. The people here are fantastic. So dump you're not the beauty isn't what you see, but what you put in your mouth. I Georgio's Greek food really can run circles around any Greek restaurant specially in these parts. This tiny little trailer packs A lethal punch. With items such as gyros, chicken kebabs, biftaki and spanakopita this truly is a huge huge little trailer. I ordered the Gyro, what a lethal sandwich. And not lethal in a bad way but in a great way. It is the best Gyro I've ever had. However, the sauce is very strong, very garlicky and very strong. I want to try the chicken kebabs next however, I also want to try the biftaki, the Greek salad, and the spanakopita, so there be a lot of next. I hope you all don't rush down here because there was a line this time and I imagine is Giorgio's continues the winds will get longer and longer.

My friend and I just found the best hole in the wall Greek place. They didn't have a huge selection on their menu but what they did have was one of the BEST Gyros and Chicken Kabob we've ever had and Oh my goodness the loaded fries were so bomb! Jordan valley has nothing on this place. If you're look for authentic Greek food make your way out to The original Georgio's near Perdido Beach. We defiantly just devoured and inhaled our sandwiches and fries in 10 minutes. This place is worth checking out you won't be disappointed I promise!

The chicken souvlaki was very good. Nicely marinated chicken and a good portion as well. Lots of feta cheese, and fresh griiled bread with a nice texture. The stuffing was unexceptional but fresh and cool- simply lettuce and tomatoes. Delicious tzatziki bursting with garlic. But the fries were mushy and it was a tiny portion. This was disappointing and surprising because we were right there, they weren't sitting around under a heater or anything. The only thing I can think is that the oil on the truck is not hot enough. It's a shame because who doesn't go nuts for fresh cut fries- I get the best all the time at a fry truck in PEI. As far as the gryro goes, I took one look at the meat turning on the spit and passed- that is the same store bought pre-fab baloney type gyro that all the big chains use. It tastes OK, if you like baloney...or until you have the pleasure of enjoying the real thing. Try it at Allan's Falafel in Chester New York. Allan builds his own gyro meat by hand and it takes him a week to make it. Fabulous. It's the real thing, as is everything on his menu. I would return to Georgio's for the souvlaki. At 8 bucks it's a good deal, but it takes a litte more effort and care to be exceptional. Went back and tried the spanakopita- it's cooked at home then kept in the fridge on the truck so the pastry is not flaky, but aside from that it had a delicious home-cooked interior which was fabulous...so had to add a star!!

Georgio's food is outstanding. From perfect, garlicky tzatziki to the freshest vegetables, I have not had a better gyro. My girlfriend, who rarely eats meat, claims their chichen kabob pita is one of hey favorite foods. We only eat there on vacation, we're from Ohio, but it is a vacation necessity for us. It helps that the owners are two of the coolest people to chat with as well.

Best Greek food anywhere, not just in Pensacola. Friendly service and huge portions. Can't go wrong, stop by as often as you can. I was just transferred to another station and I miss it already.

Wow! Our band was driving through the area after playing a show at the world famous FlorBama in Perdido Key and I spotted this little shack on the side of the road. Boy are we glad we found Georgio's. The food is truly authentic (as is Georgio) and is delicious, fresh and inexpensive. The spanikopita was super tasty and the others in my party will vouch for the delicious gyro. We sat outside under their canvas tent at a picnic table for lunch done Florida style! Opa!

I had the gyro and my wife had the chicken kabob. Really delicious going down just as long as you don't mind burping it up the rest of the day. So full of garlic it stayed with us all day. Even brushing our teeth a few times couldn't shake the over powering garlic flavor. We give it 4 out of 5 burps. Not kidding either!!! Ooompa pa pa!

Wonderful. Authentic. Tasty. Fattening. Georgio's is such a gem - now don't expect fine dining, this place is a dive if there ever was one. But the focus is on the food - the delicious gyros composed of homemade fluffy pita bread, an out-of-this-world blend of spiced lamb and beed, imported Greek feta and veggies. It's to die for and I literally wanted to die shortly after because I ate way too much, but the pain was worth it. The salads are great too. The tazikis sauce is so garlicky and delicious, make sure you don't open your mouth for the rest of the day as to not poison the air around you. I have yet to try the loaded fries; that's on my list for my next visit. The baklava is fantastic but I think it would better if they left them unwrapped in a container or something to maintain crispiness. I guess I just like my baklava on the crispier side. That's not a big enough a complaint for me to knock off 5 stars though.

Went here yesterday and snagged a gyro with the wife. I must say, it is the BEST gyro I have EVER had!!! I used to like the hip pocket deli for gyros, but the ones from Georgio's blow all others away. I am actually going to go for lunch again today, its that good. Do yourself a favor and stop by the place. The owner is really nice as well!

Well I'm sorry to say that I actually found this place on Urban Spoon. Anyway this was just a hop, skip and a jump from Pensacola so I thought that I would go try them out. When I got there there was a couple buying a couple of gyro's and I figured at 12 in the morning on a Sunday that it couldn't be that bad. There is a roadside farmer selling his veggies right next to this place and after eating my gyro figured that Georgio probably gets his produce from them cause it tasted very fresh. The gyro was very good, was a little excessive on what appeared to be black pepper on the top, flavor of the gyro was excellent. Fries did not come with the gyro so that was an extra 2 bucks and the can of coke was also a dollar. They have a limited menu with Gyro's, Greek Salad and some other Greek food. This isn't a place to go and sit down, more recommend a grab and go, by the time I got back to the my room the fries were a little soggy, they put them in a to-go box so let them air out if you got a little bit of a drive. When you turn right on Sorrento its on the right.

i'm from nyc so its been a while since i ate a good gyro. and i gotta say the gyros here tastes freakin' awesome. and they are only for $7, haha, can't go wrong. My only quams - should come with more tomatoes and wish they were bigger. But i must say the size was just enough and the taste was awesome. i drove by, got my gyro in 5 min tops and hit the beach after - it was great. i'll go back and try the chicken gyro next time.

Noooo... this is not my place, in spite of us sharing a name :) Georgio makes one awesome Gyro! packed with meat and flavor! We eat a lot of Greek cuisine and we come here for Gyro. And if you get your car stuck in the sand behind it, they will dig you out at no extra charge! OPA! :)

Hands down the best Greek food I've had in years. I've tried many Greek restaurants but none compare to this. Don't expect frills or a nice candlelit dinner. This is ran out of a trailer and has only a few choices...but that won't matter. All you want is a gyro. Huge portions and amazing flavor. The cucumber sauce is perfect. The baklava is delicious.

I am from NY and I must say that there aren't stars to give Georgio and his amazing food. He is truly a master of his craft and this little roadside stand is worth the drive. The best gyro and fresh-cut fries you will have. His tzatziki sauce is his ultimate secret and once you dip your fries into it, you will understand why. Go check it out!
