Fresh and tasty food, plus reasonable prices. Thought their sesame chicken, egg drop soup and fried chicken were stood out. Clean and nice place, situated in the Target mail. We would go back and recommend it!

We came here out of necessity. Where we wanted to try was closed on account of it being Sunday. I guess it's a southern thing... Anyhow... sure, for the price I could eat and eat, but I would be eating the same thing over and over. The first Chinese restaurant I've been to that didn't serve broccoli beef; big downgrade. Their potstickers were unstuffed and flat as a pancake tasting as you might expect. Their fried rice was dried out and lacking a lot of what you come to expect from fried rice. The teriyaki chicken was also dry which could have been helped had there been enough sauce for the chicken to marinate in. If you're craving Chinese, take your 7 bucks and buy a sandwich at the firehouse subs next door and eat Chinese another day.

The food is a hit or miss. I've been there several times over the past year and it can be good food but too often it is over cooked and dried out. They need to keep the buffet fresh and when they do it is good.

Best Chinese buffet I have been to! The food is always fresh, and the staff seem nice.

I figured I would try this place again since Yangtze buffet has been closed. I must admit it was much better this time. The staff was still friendly polite and professional and the food was much better this time. I still don't know that this will be my regular spot but I am looking for a replacement for Yangtze and this may fill that void. The price isn't too bad and it's a nice environment to have a meal. All in all four stars this time.

The sesame seed chicken is incredible! Best I have ever had. But the other items on the bar are just mediocre at best. Oh forgot, the fried dumplings are delicious too. I had the chicken on the stick which is good but it was room temperature. No mongolian beef.

If this place was in San Francisco or LA or NYC or some other city known for its Chinese food, I would give it 2 stars. But for pensacola it's pretty good. A date for two for under $20? Count me in.

I have tried many different Chinese buffets around the state, this place is about average to my personal taste. Their selection is so-so.. only two kinds of cali rolls, many chicken dishes and fried dishes..but not much seafood. It is located by University Shopping district on Nine mile Rd, and they also offer togo buffet for busy people. Price used to be good a year ago but now they have raised the prices. The service is quick and waiteresses are nice. But mostly the food selection was a bit dissappointing. For a better option, I recommend going to Chow Tyme instead.

The only thing good on the menu is the sesame chicken. Other than that, everything else is really bland.

This buffet restaurant is the best for me. eventhough Chow Tyme or Kings Buffet has more option of foods, most of them is not suitable for me. Here in Shanghai Buffet I eat most of them. Try the Cream Cheese Wonton aka Crab Rangoon. For me, it is the best among all Cream Cheese Wonton. :)

Our sweet waitress was Thuy, and besides the place being clean, delicious, very affordable for a picky-eater family, and comfortable...she was super attentive, very helpful with our children, and my littlest guy actually ATE thanks to her! Thank you, Thuy!

Two stars say... "Meh, I've experienced better" But to be honest, I have NOT experienced better. Unfortunately this is as good as it gets, and that ain't say'n much. Why is it that every time I chance a visit to an Asian style buffet restaurant, I am confronted with the same poor quality food? It doesn't matter where I am in America! Is there one and only one distributor of these same old, pre-packaged frozen yukkies? I don't know how this food get's 4 stars with 19 reviews. Perhaps the dinner trough is better than the lunch I had? I don't mean this review to be a slam against this particular restaurant as much as the industry that created it. THEY ARE ALL ALIKE! GRADE D! Enough of my ramblings friends. Let me leave you with this promise. I will NEVER review an Asian style buffet again! Because I will never go to another one! There'are too many great Asian restaurants out serving a fantastic ala carte lunch for $10. YMMV Mange' Georgio

Excellent food for a fraction of the cost of other Asian buffets. This place is family owned and operated and is very popular with the locals. Can't go wrong with this choice!!!

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Pensacola. The sesame chicken is to die for. Give them a try - you won't be diss appointed. The buffet is small but everything is good. It's also great for take out.

If this was closed, I must have broken in to eat there, and apparently about 13 others broke in, and coincidentally an oriental waitstaff seated us and brought us our drinks, and took our dirty plates. For a closed restaurant, I received top notch treatment! The food was mediocre. Nothing overly impressive. Standard food items. I'll go back because it's close by, and OPEN.

Food was ok. Lots of chicken dishes. Reasonable pricing (8-9) lots of veggies. Quiet relaxed atmosphere with small tvs.

I decided to go to this buffet because it was the highest rated on Yelp in the area. The food wasn't bad enough to be sent away, but I'm not going back. I can't believe they won "Best in the Bay 2013." The fried rice had no meat, and too few vegetables to be considered vegetable fried rice. No meat in the egg rolls, and no crab in the crab rangoon (was labeled correctly). Its only saving grace was that the price was low. Pensacola, if this is the best you can do, I am disappoint.

I have to say for all the place in Pensacola I have to say I would much rather eat here for Chinese. When my kids ask to come here that is a sign. They eat and love the soft serve.

Came for lunch. General-Tso Chicken was tasteless. Looked as if it had been there since they opened. Buffet selection was small and not very appealing. All-in-all this place is crap!

For overall consistency, they're the best in Pensacola. Food is fresh and sauces are tasty and not overdone. I am just mad I didn't come back here instead of going to another buffet today.

Of course this isn't saying much but this is the best Asian food buffet I have eaten at in Pensacola. I recommend it to everyone and take my family here on a regular basis.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
