If you want chain Italian, this is an option for you. Huge portions, wine, and Sinatra playing in the background, what more can you ask? I had one of their special pasta dishes with tons of meat. It was good but I got tired of it pretty quick. I had their house chianti which wasn't too shabby. I like their honor system for wine. They pour the 1st glass and leave the bottle at your table. If you pour another glass it's on you to let the waiter know for billing purposes. Not much to say, chain Italian, wine. Nothing really stuck out during my visit. I guess this place will be an alternative if I don't want to go to Olive Garden. The end.

...Solid 3 stars, you kinda know what you're getting into when you visit a Macaroni Grill. I will say service was very very good and I was surprised at how much I liked their stuffed mushrooms. My boyfriend didn't like his pizza and I thought my fettuccine alfredo wasn't as good as Olive Gardens (yes, Olive Garden)but not horrible. Loooove their garlic bread with the olive oil on the side..as for dessert, we had the chocolate gelato and it tasted more like a pint of Publix ice cream instead. If not for a wonderful waiter(I think his name was Geoff) I probably would've given it 2 stars, but still it was a nice lunch and the manager gave us 2 $5 off coupons if we ever go back, which I probably will when Im craving their bread again.

I visited with a group of 9 for dinner. The food was delicious, warm and the portions were generous. What especially stood out was the expert service we had. Our server was a very personable young man named Romulus. He was attentive and efficient and very accommodating. All of our orders came out perfectly. So many times a good meal is eclipsed by poor service. In this case, the service rivaled the food. Thank you, Romulus, for making our evening very pleasant.

This was not our best experience here. Started out well and went down hill! We, all 3 of us ordered the lunch meal. Our entrees were delivered before the appetitizer and salad! One of the entrees was cold the other two lukewarm. Had to ask for bread, refills etc. just a bad experience all around!

I was seriously appalled by the service received here this evening. Upon arriving we were greeted with an "Oh just two ok" with a bit of attitude as though our walking in was an inconvenience. The menus were tossed on the table and your server will be out was mumbled. Twelve minutes and we had still not been seen by our server. Finally the hostess asked if we wanted anything, I gave her my drink order and she took off without even asking for my Husbands. Mind you this was his first visit ever. Our server showed up and told us how someone was sick and he will take care of us but there is a big party of 30 and the kitchen is slow. I have been a server, bartender and hostess and I understand you get weeded but NO excuse for poor service. There were a total of 6 servers that I saw and only 7 tables seated. One being the 30 top who was getting their check. After 23 minutes of waiting out appetizers were put in. Another 10 minutes until our order was taken. I was ready to leave at that point. The appetizers hit the table and almost immediately after the salad and entree. The food was not even that great at all and I have dined here (not this location ) more than a dozen times. I will not be returning. I could not even get a manger!

The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I'm giving them 3 stars simply because of the service. It seems they are usually understaffed during the afternoon and when the rush comes in, it is too much for them to handle. They forgot to put my entire order in my to-go order which required me to come back. They did apologize and give 3 $5 off coupons. If they get enough staff to fully work the lunch shift I doubt this problem would happen again. The food though is really good and even though they made a mistake they did apologize. The atmosphere is nice and the facility is clean and well-maintained.

My dinner starts with a greeting from a hostess with no name tag. She scurries off to find a server and a table for me. The manager comes by to say the greeter will be right back. After a quick 2 minutes the greeter seats me in a booth for 6. Since I dined alone I was humored by the oversized accommodation. My server quickly made his way to the table and introduced himself. Since he was both friendly and menu savvy I was confident right away that dinner would be a hit. He brings my drink then flawlessly delivers my Mac n cheese bites exactly 2minutes later. He has impeccable timing and quite a good tableside manner. Warm bread was a welcomed site as I ordered a chicken dish that arrived PERFECTLY cooked. Could tonight get any better? YES!! warm berry torta! Who would have guessed a mall strip restaurant was this good? The staff is warm and welcoming minus one or two. I should mention the chicken, starch, and veggies were more than I could finish and I am a 6 foot 200lb hungry boy. I can say with 100% confidence you won't be sorry for eating here. Thanks to Jaime for making dinner a great experience.

I lived in another state and remember when Macaroni Grill opened their doors, it was wonderful. Over the years there has been a change, don't know if it is the management but this restaurant went from excellent to terrible. I have been to the Pensacola restaurant two times in one year and have to say the food and service was horrible.

My bf and I decided to eat here for dinner. He started off with the pomodorina soup, which tasted just like tomato sauce, and I got the minestrone soup, which was pretty good. I ordered the chianti BBQ steak, which was all right- nothing spectacular. My bf ordered the parmesan crusted veal chop, which he liked. We got the bloody mary sorbet and the cannolis for dessert. They were pretty good, but I expected the cannolis to have a better taste. For the price, it's not really worth it. Nothing was bad, but nothing was commendable either. I wouldn't come back for a second visit.

Came here on a recent visit to the in-laws house. Service was eh, ok I guess, wasn't horrible. The food was sub par, my husbands pasta was so loaded up with spice he could barely eat it. I ordered a seafod pasta with scallops, shrimp and mussels, the seafood was a tad over cooked and the sauce lacked any real flavor. I guess what do you expect from a chain restaurant. Not an awful experience here, but not that great either hence the 3 stars.

The restaurant was not busy at all. I sat at the bar where there were only two other people. Still it took over 5 long minutes before someone said hi, and 5 more before I had a drink. Most Macaroni Grills are much better.

Let me start by saying that the food in this spot is nothing less than spectacular. That being said, I experienced probably the worst service last night that I have experienced in my life. I am not one for writing reviews ( matter of fact this is my first yelp ever) nor one to openly complaint to waitresses or managers, something which I probably should have done last night were it not for me starting to develop a flu. If I had to describe last night's service in few words it would be a combustion of errors. I will abstain from utilizing the person's name because she was a nice girl, and I would not want anything bad to happen to her, but she literally did not get anything right. The introduction for which was to come happened when my little sister did not receive a kids menu...strange. We were then led on to what was to come when no second serving of bread was brought ( even though she asked us if we so desired), and this process was repeated with the pepper for the salad, which is still missing in action. The climax occurred after my mom asked for gluten free pasta, and half way through the dish we realized it was not. Again, us not being big into complaints and making scenes we opted for remaining silent, which I still regret to this very moment. The next thing was when my steak skewer came burnt to a crisp and cooked somewhere between well done and hard as a shoe, which I of course had ordered medium rare. And last but not least the tipping point was when our bill was brought without asking us if we wanted dessert, and then when we said that we actually wanted dessert and a vanilla ice cream for my little sister she replied by STILL not bringing us the menu and bringing my sister a chocolate ice cream, at which point my mom actually said something and I was almost chuckling at the hilariousness of this evening. At the end of the day I left $4 as a tip in a $50 bill, and will be contacting corporate if I do not hear from anyone in this branch.

I expected more for the prices they had. The rosemary bread is excellent although the oil they had for dipping only had pepper added. Hubby had the lobster ravioli and didn't have any complaints. I had the chicken portofino which had a LOT of pepper. I expected more garlic-taste with the garlic cream sauce. We also had the sampler for the appetizer. Bruschetta seemed alright, hubby at it all. Calamari was pretty good. But the fancy cheese sticks were all but tasteless. All three stars I've given this restaurant is for the service. Our waiter was Corey and he was excellent. He didn't bother us too much or completely ignore us either. It was our first time eating at a Macaroni and Grill and he explained alot of the different types of pastas and sauces they had. He recommended the Tiramisu for dessert and it was spectacular!!

I used to love this restaurant. Now, the menu has been depleted of some of the reasons I loved it. Even the "create your own pasta menu" is sparse. I ended up ordering the chicken scallopini. A disappointment. The chicken didn't really have a flavor, although it was breaded and doused in the lemon, white wine and caper mixture. But really left much to be desired. Overall, the restaurant wasn't busy, but I was hurries on my way. Not a feelIng I particularly enjoy, especially after I'm left...unsatisfied.

Though I have had a couple of good meals here, I have also had a couple of bad meals. Unfortunately, I have found a bigger issue with this restaurant a few weeks ago. While other restaurants are making better efforts to make those with celiac disease have an easier time finding things to eat, they are stepping backwards by taking their gluten free pasta off the menu. There goes one more restaurant I can't eat at.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
