If you visit Pensacola, make a stop here and get some Crawfish. A must have. Enjoyed every minute. The owners are so nice too.

Yelp did not dissapoint! Cub's Crawfish is a hole in the wall, mom and pop trailer full of yumminess! Hubby had the shrimp boat since yelp said he should - it's a mini shrimp boil, complete with really good sauage, corn, and potatoes. The kids had the chicken and sausage gumbo - great flavors, nice and spicy. It was too hot for one of the kids so ... leftovers for me! I had the seafood bisque- spicy and delicious! Oh, and the f r nch bread with the gumbo and bisque was done just right! Fully recommend the whole deal. Use your GPS and keep an eye out for the little turquoise trailer!

Daughter wanted to eat "mud bugs" so when we visited Pensacola, we came here based on Yelp reviews. We had the crawfish plates which came with sausage, potatoes, corn and mushrooms. Food was excellent, and the lady at the counter checked on us when we were done to see if we were full or wanted some more! Great place to come and eat. We will be back when in the area again.

Oh so delicious:-). My husband and I shared a crawfish boat and an order of red beans and rice. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was warm and friendly. We are adding Cub's to our list of favorite restaurants!

This little shack was about 20 miles off our planned route through Florida, and worth every one of those miles. Warm, friendly reception from the moment we walked in. Homey, honest, comfortable, and clean, the restaurant had none of the hipster gloss I've come to expect from highly rated eateries. Everything I ate was perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The unexpected inclusion of spicy mushrooms in my shrimp boat was the best surprise I've had in a restaurant in some time. If I'm ever back in Florida, I will eat here again.

Crawfish are small and you'll get a few mushy ones with every pound. That being said, the crawfish are delicious. The gumbo is great. The staff is very friendly.

very delicious crawfish and reasonable price. But image environment is not very good. If u r looking for some place elegant. It is not the best choice. It is more like a home restaurant. Anyway. Very nice food.

So I came in today, and it turns out it's sort of their off season for crawfish (it's usually Dec-July). But no worries! The food was still good! Its a lil cute shack off of Lillian HWY and we were served by a nice lady who was very helpful. This is my first time having crawfish in the south and having it Cajun style. The seasoning was good BUT it was a little bit to salty for my taste. I wish we had gotten more potato so we could off set the saltiness. Its good, but just to salty. I would have like to taste a lil more of the natural crawfish taste then just tasting the seasoning. BUT the Crawfish Etouffe is so good and worth the $9 something I paid for. I could've ate another round or two! So in total, 4lbs of crawfish with one corn, two potatoes, a cupish full of mushroom, crawfish etouffe and a coke cost my Hunnie and I $34 :) now that's not bad at all. I will definitely come back during their peak season and I hope next time it's not to salty! Still enjoyed this place, so I give it 4 stars for now :D They open 6 days a week during their peak season (closed mon) and only 5 days during their off season (closed sun & mon)

Cub's was my first time experiencing Pensacola off palafox, also my first time having Crawfish in the south. The service was very friendly for an outsider such as myself, the woman at the counter told me all about the family that owns the cafe and how hard they work together- it really made me feel great to support them. The food is excellent and a great value. My personal favorite item was the sausage, it has a superb smokey flavor and perfect casing that snapped when you bite into it. My only gripe was that the corn on the cob seemed over cooked, flavorless, and low quality... but considering how perfect everything else was I really did not care. I ordered wayyy too much food and did my darnedest to make it disappear, I think next time I'll skip the corn and leave a little room for dessert (which looked fab!)

Don't follow your GPS or you will miss this awesome place! It is just west of the intersection of 98 and 298. The intersection is Lillian and Dog Track road and several other road names which seem to mess up the GPS/Google maps apps. The crawfish, which are only in season December - July 4th, are fun and delicious. Also enjoyed the fresh cooked Gumbo and to cool your burning lips the banana and Oreo puddings are the perfect dessert!!

Best boiled crawfish and shrimp my boyfriend and I have ever had-anywhere! Fairly priced and homey atmosphere. Super friendly people. Wish we lived in Florida so we could go here once a week! Next visit to Florida will be to Perdido Key so we can eat here again!

Gumbo was great. Nice and spicy. Shrimp Boat - excellent when crawfish are out of season. Worth the trip.

In town for a week and got really lucky when looking for a place to eat. This is a of 5 round little tables with a wood house look. Loved the food, the people, and the service.

For a hole in the wall, this is paradise found, a little piece of Cajun found. Cub's is that proverbial hole-in-the-wall restaurant, that also sell's items for crab and shrimp boils. I figure Cub's was formed because the owner really new how to cook, and his/her friends prodded them into opening a restaurant. I'm glad they did, there's nothing fancy about this place, just wonderful food and friendly service. I dueled up on myself, meaning I ordered two entree's, one being the red beans and rice and the other chicken and sausage gumbo. Both were spot on, full of flavor, smokiness and slight back heat. A previous reviewer described it as insanely good, there beyond that they would wake you from a coma, both carry that home made flavor, and are limitless in there preparation. I can't wait to share this restaurant with my friends. With prices such as Crawfish $3.99 by the pound Shrimp Étouffée $ 8.99 Red Beans and Rice $$ 6.99 Gumbo $ 7.00 Smoked Sausage $3.99 This makes for a very affordable lunch.

It's good, very good. One of the best seafood experiences I've had in the usa. Also very reasonably priced. I had the shrimp boat and Katie had the gumbo. Plenty of food and a couple of unsweetened iced teas, we were set. $23 for two people including drinks.

I travel to this area once or twice a year for soccer tournaments and I have been wanting to try Cub's. My family was reluctant, but I put my foot down today and the whole family was glad I did. Friends joined us so we were a table of 9. We made one of the few tables in this place work for all 9 of us...it was meant for 6. Place your order with the cashier, grab your drinks out of the cooler, and they will bring you your food in no time. $9.99 got me a big basket (boat) of crawfish topped with 2 large whole red potatoes, lots of shrooms, 1/2 piece of corn on the cob, and two skinny links of sausage about 6" each. Everything tasted as if it was from the same pot......absolutely delicious! It's definitely Cajun, a little spicy at first, and then it just tastes good...I didn't want to stop. Two suggestions: suck the heads and get the sweat tea! There is more flavor in a crawfish head than just about anything else. The sweet tea is the only beverage that is refilled and you will need a few cups of tea to wash it all down. The soda and water are canned/bottled, thus single serving. Everything was so good I ordered some gumbo to go for dinner! The gumbo and buttery garlic bread did not disappoint, either. Our friends also tried the red beans and rice and the jambalaya, both really enjoyed their meal. That said, my friend with the jambalaya wished he had gotten the crawfish. Lots of cool stuff around the store and you can even take a shower! The service was very friendly and fast. They came around with the tea pitcher a few times, talked to the owner, and purchased some of their "secret" low country boil spice. Cons: This is a one and only place and they are only open 3 days a week...that actually makes it more special when you catch it open! A real con: my son's friend ordered the crab legs and "they hadn't been delivered, yet." Still 5 stars! Can't wait to return"

We drove 1.5 hours to get here and 1.5 hours back home with full bellies and happy faces. Everything about this place is legit. Probably the best crawfish ever. The crawfish were $5.99/lb when we were there. We couldn't stop eating them. They have awesome red beans and rice, BROWN jambalaya AND even good little homemade cherry cheesecakes for dessert. I will definitely go again. They don't have a beer license (bring some) and get your grub on.

I'm no crawfish expert so I'm leaving an honest review from a regular Joe. First off the seasoning was amazing it was very flavorful with a nice kick too it. It was not extremely spicy as I've tried at other places. The meat was amazing juicy and not rubbery. I'm from Southern California and I've been to a few boilers that I thought were great. But after having crawfish out here in the Gulf... Wow!!! Big difference. I'm glad I walked into Cub's because it enlightened me on how crawfish should really taste like. My wife got the shrimp and that too was amazing. I've always tried to persuade my wife to like crawfish and she's always turned it down but thanks to Cub's I turned her into a fan. The potatoes were amazing as well. The only downsides I had was the sausage was a little salty. They're were delicious enough soaking up the juices at the bottom and I didn't think it need the dashes of seasoning. The other was that there was no soda fountain, it was all cans which kind of sucked a little bit as it made it inconvenient when you needed some drink to bring down the heat in your mouth a bit and had little to none left Nonetheless, this place is delicious and whenever we are out here in the area again we will definitely come back.

Just a lucky Yelp while passing through. A small joint with nice waitresses. My first attempt at crawfish. They are a little work but very tasty. The red beans and rice with sausage were very good as well as the jambalaya. Had the banana pudding for desert. While we were finishing up the waitress said their most popular items are gumbo and crawfish étouffée,we hope to make it back some day. Every thing is served in styrofoam and cardboard boxes with plastic spoons,a spork would have been helpful. This was one of the best meals we've had on this trip!

I stopped by Cub's Crawfish for a late lunch and it was great. It's truly a hole in the wall - it's literally in a trailer - and it's filled with all kinds of random knick knacks. VERY casual. Only a few tables inside and there's one table outside, in the gravel lot. I felt like I got a lot of seafood for the price I paid! I got the shrimp boat, which came with steamed shrimp, corn, potatoes, mushrooms and sausage. It was just spicy enough and I was happily full when I left. You order at the counter, sit down to wait, they bring you your food, and go pay back at the counter before you leave.

This is a destination. The place is an eclectic mix of Blue Angels, antiques, and swamp and crawfish kitsch. We had gumbo, Florida style fish dip, shrimp boats (since crawfish were out of season), crawfish etouffe and an extra plate of the toasted bread. Be prepared for a little Creole heat. It was spicy, but not too spicy for my family members who generally aren't into spicy food. This place had unfabricated character, soul, and great food. The service was as friendly and genuine as one could hope. I would be glad to take anyone there. We all loved it. See the pictures!

I do not like anything about Florida... until now. The crawfish are healthy, perfectly cooked with a slightly crisp shell. The seasoning is the perfect compliment to the crawfish, spicy, but not overwhelming. The service is friendly and genuine.

Don't take this wrong but this place is a Dive. But it is the BEST place I feel in Pensacola. Always fresh and now they serve grill cheese for the kiddos.

The best customer service, the nicest people, we had about 15 people there they treated us with respect, kindness and oh the food was outstanding. Also the son of the owner Clay heard some of us talking Bout motorcycles and took us in the back to show us his awesome bike. I want to thank them for a great night won't with my wife and friends.

We eat here often, you would most likely drive by if you chose only on looks but if you love supporting a local delicious family business, stop here! Worth every penny for spicy and delicious crawfish and gumbo. Please save us a table. The staff are friendly and I hope they are open today!

Cub's Crawfish is a hidden gem in West Pensacola. We've been to the restaurant several times and the food has been incredible each visit. The restaurant is run by the owners who are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about their products. The dining room is small but inviting, and there's picnic seating out front in the shade. Prices are reasonable too! All around wonderful local business with top-notch eats!

I can't believe how delicious the crawfish were. Great seasoning and they were so fresh and really big. étouffée was buttery, rich, and tasty with crawfish. I enjoyed the gumbo as well, with chicken and nicely smoked sausage. The laid back environment was perfect for the food served too. I'll go back.

This tiny place is a gem. Homemade Cajun food. It is perfect, no need for any improvement. The crawfish etouffee is my favorite...caution it is very addictive. The gumbo and jumbalaya are insanely good. Amazing food, affordable prices, homemade and fresh. It does not get any better than this.

I am writing this review in deep sorrow .Bill owner of Cub's Cawfish passed away mid March leaving behind his wife and two boys.my dearest regards goes out to them.As for the review I am insulted that people call this a dive! this is a cute do drop in !!!!. when we dined their we don't feel like customers we feel like we are with friends. whether at the picnic table or inside Bill and the gang like Connie and Brittney made us feel at home. This place will always have a place in our heart. God bless Bill and the ones left behind!
