This the new restaurant that I have tried even they are below 4 stars. The location is near my project job site and we decide to try them. I usually don't try below 4 stars restaurant when I am with friend and they ask me to pick. The restaurant has the outside tape up outside light through the wall paper on the glass window. When out is bright at noon time, it actually has light effect for the picture for the people who sit inside. Today we try their lunch special. I have the red tail grouper plate instead of sandwich. The plate came with two sides. With the yelp checking we got the second entree in half price. Good deal. My friend just has shrimp and salmon pasta scampi. He let me try his dish and I like it very much. The shrimp is butterfly and clean out the intestine. The shrimp is fresh when bite it and it still bouncing. The scampi prepare very well, some scampi overpowered with too much garlic. This restaurant prepare well and not watery. The grouper is great. Red tail grouper is higher grade than regular grouper. It is delicious and fresh. My sides are the rice and the French fried. The fried is great but the rice is just ok. I would return to this restaurant to have the scampi and it is only $9.95 at lunch. They also give good size and good amount of shrimp. They also have trivia night, please come to enjoy.

Love this place! Great service, excellent food, friendly staff, and clean restrooms. My recommendation: Try the blackened grouper sandwich with fries and the chicken livers appetizer. Wash it down with a frosty beverage from Spanky's numerous beers on tap. If your timing is right, you might get lucky and meet "Spanky" in person.

Something suspicious going on. I left a review 2 months ago which was pretty critical regarding the food and experience but it does not show here. Only the good reviews are here. I know my post was submitted because it's still in my history on yelp. I wish this place well but I won't return after our visit.

We were very happy with both the food and service on a Friday night. Excellent steak, baked potato, and salad. Pleasantly surprised to find live music. Strong management is very much in evidence - we were asked by two people plus our server if everything was ok, and they really seemed to mean it. Likely to return.

Awesome dinner tonight the best steak I had in a long time. I didn't even need a knife it cut like butter. The crab stuffed shrimp were also awesome. Very good

in my opinion, their prices are higher than should be for the quality of food you get. The decor is confusing and dated. Their sign outside says "Fine Steaks, Fresh Seafood". There was only one steak on the menu- a filet. and it was by far not the best filet I've had. It was chewy and tough. My husband ordered coconut shrimp- they were practically all breading with very small shrimp hidden inside. They don't even have a burger on the kids menu- you have to order the full size one for $8.95. We asked the server what they were known for- he said, "well, it used to be the grouper, but we've been having problems getting good fresh grouper lately. But the prime rib on Friday and Saturday is very good. Although we don't always have it on Saturday because we run out". I doubt we would ever go back.

This was our first visit to Spanky's. We had seen the newspaper ads over the past several months and figured: "what can go wrong having an early dinner at a 'grill'?" We were seated promptly albeit a good distance away from where the rest of the sparse crowd was waiting for the nightly entertainment. The waitress, who had the personality of a zombie, promptly took our drink order but from there it was all downhill. The owner must have been tending bar as the rum and Coke had no hint of rum... and the already weak Cosmopolitan was served "on the rocks"... really? After serving the drinks the waitress took our dinner order. It should be noted that while the name Spanky's Grill 41 implies burgers/sandwiches the dinner menu only offers complete dinners. Some here have said a sandwich menu is available. It was not presented to us. As we finished our drinks we waited for the waitress to return... and we waited... and waited... and waited. More than 20 minutes went by. From our corner table we could not locate any waitstaff so I pulled out the cellphone and called asking for someone to check on our table. Well, this set off a beehive of activity. The manager arrived first with a sob story that the waitress is new. Minutes later "Spanky" came by. I went through all of the above and the owner vowed to make sure our meals would be out promptly. He also took our order for a couple of glasses of wine to go with the entrees. The waitress finally appeared and sheepishly said "I'm sorry" and walked away. I have to say Spanky did come through. I had the grilled yellow fin tuna. My wife had the blackened tilapia. Our daughter had Chicken Marsala. All were perfectly prepared and very tasty. Portions were almost plentiful. Perhaps this is an attempt by the owner to encourage customers to purchase a dessert, a ploy lost on those like us who shun routinely overpriced restaurant desserts. After our meal I invited Spanky to sit down with us and go over the evening. He agreed with all of our concerns and, unexpected to us, comped our entire bill with the promise that we return and give them another chance. We will return, Spanky. But as a popular restaurateur and television host once said "You will never succeed if you have to give away your food to make customers happy."

I have been to Spanky's numerous time with my family and never had a bad experience. From the $5 burger night to the fresh seafood specials we have never been disappointed. But, I most say, I think my favorite dish thus far has been the tasty ribs. I will be back soon to listen to the live music

Yummy wings!! Chips and Salsa. Salsa is very fresh bit sweet nice twist and delish. Cold beer is always a plus. Plates have very nice presentation. Staff were really fun and attentive even though it was really busy. Live band. Chicken fettuccine Alfredo was awesome. Huge portion of grilled chicken. Seasoned perfectly. We will be back.

The service is ok the decor is great actually but the food is very bland little pricey for what it is, a glorified peaches a glorified IHOP or Dennys average at best

Had dinner here last night with some friends as a change up from the normal taco Tuesday. We arrived a little late due to some auto issues that needed immediate attention. Our friends were already seated and had ordered and were into their first and second rounds of drinks. It was not very busy; so our server Carin was very attentive and seemed quite genuine in her desire to make our first experience a positive one. I ordered a simple dish of Turkey Club on a croissant with French fries. I have to say the sandwich was packed with turkey and the croissant had a nice taste with a light flavor of butter. The French fries were a standard faire but had that little bit of extra salt that helped me to vacuum them down. I also ordered a frozen margarita without salt. It came out exactly as I ordered and although I didn't find it to be particularly strong, it did have a good flavor. Carin was very nice as she was able to find a coupon for us and the entire meal was $32.00 w/o the tip. She did not have to do that and I certainly appreciated her effort. Not only that, she provided a book of coupons for everyone at the table for future considerations. I think we may have found a new Tuesday night hangout. I will definitely return here. Oh, and one last thing, as we were leaving, we were thanked by the owners for stopping in and wished us a pleasant evening.

Ate dinner here the last night in town. I would have to say we were worried when we pulled up as the place looked empty. When we walked in it was but with the good reviews we said why not try it out. You get a lot of food for your dollar and the steak and seafood is really good. Our waitress Joann was very friendly and knew the menu very well. They also have a dinner sandwich menu if you aren't as hungry. Also had the owner come up and talk to us to make sure everything was ok. This is something that is great for a small business and makes us customers feel welcomed. One of the biggest things we loved about this restaurant beyond the food was the cleanliness. The place was very clean throughout including the bathrooms. Both my girlfriend and mom noted how nice it was to have a place with such a nice bathroom. This is a place where my folks who are new in town said they would have to come back more often. And we agreed when we come back in town we would need to eat here again. The only complaint we had was the french fries. Nothing is more disappointing then getting a good meal then ruining it with some pre-made frozen french fries.

My husband and I are here on vacation, and I had found a deal on living social for this restaurant. I read a lot of good reviews, so I decided to purchase the living social deal. This is the first time living social has ever let me down!! The lack of cars in the parking lot should have been my first clue. We went inside and the waiter who had the personality of a wet noodle took our drink order, my husband ordered a beer and I ordered a sangria. He brought out my husband's beer, and said they were making my sangria. 15 minutes later, still no sangria. I had to flag the waiter down and tell him to forget the sangria and I just give me a water. No apology for the drink taking so long. When our food came out, my husband's dinner came out 10 minutes before my fettuccine alfredo, apparently bringing food out at the same time is too much to ask for. Looks can be deceiving!! Our food looked good, however, I have had frozen dinners that have more flavor than the alfredo sauce I was served. An absolute joke, and my husband's hamburger left a lot to be desired. My husband anf i actually ended up splitting his burger because my meal was so gross. When our waiter came around to check on how our food was, I said I have had better. To which he responded I will let him know. I don't know who "him" is, but I do know that the manager never came over to speak to us....something that I thought was common if you have upset customers....maybe there wasn't a manager on duty, who knows. They didn't charge me for my meal or my sangria that never made it to our table which is the only nice thing that I can say. I hate even giving this restaurant 1 star because they aren't even worth that. Don't waste your money, you will have better service and food at McDonald's.

Food was good, not great but good. Ambiance was interesting, live music from the over 80 set...amusing to hear live "Electric Slide" when the musicians cant stand!! It was fun, but probably not repeat-worthy.

Decor great! Little Rascals all the way. Makes me want to go watch the videos. Food basic. A little Pricey. Service a little slow. Cater more for the seniors. Live music was good.

Just visited Spanky's yesterday for a early afternoon cocktail and was really impressed!!! Happy Hour is incredibly inexpensive and the staff is attentive as well as polite. Mondays offer a $5 dollar hamburger with fries and it was cooked perfect!! All around great experience. A must visit, especially for a early cocktail and a great meal. Will be back.

We just tried this place on a whim and we were sorely disappointed. First of all, allow me to confirm that the food is more reheated than cooked and definitely over priced. The bread was awful, the salad was full of the end pieces of lettuce that would normally be thrown away, and the condiments were all sub par greasy spoon style standard! We ordered the St. Louis ribs entre and the Famous Crab Cake appetizer. The ribs were mediocre and wound up being the highlight. The Crabcake was not flavorful and relied heavily on a very pungent sauce. Everything came out with the appearance of simply being ready to eat and lacked a significant flavor. The mashed potatoes apparently come with cheese so be sure to note this if you are lactose intolerant since the menu dues not include this very important rid bit of information! The service was good and they were nice thought to take the $12 Crab Cake off the bill since we voice or concerns and opinions.

Loved it! Cool atmosphere, good service and the food was fabulous!! I had Blackend Salmon Oscar. I order salmon quite frequently when dinning out and their salmon hands down was the best I've ever had. My dinning companions had a variety of menu items and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I would absolutely recommend Spanky's Grill 41 if you're up for having a delicious meal at a reasonable price.

Found the place to be overpriced for the quality of food. Ordered a $22 Filet Mignon and was very disappointed. Also ordered Calamari appetizer and again was very disappointed with the size, baked potato was over done and small, ordered a wedge salad and it came with russian dressing on it. Service was horrible and they were not even busy. I don't think I will be returning as Outback beats them hands down.
