I gotta say for a little Pizza shop in Oviedo, this place is great! The owner/server was extremely friendly and helpful. She had no problem customizing our choices, and even had great suggestions. I went there for lunch with 3 coworkers, and between us we had many variations of Strombolis and Calzones. The only difference between the two is that the calzone has Ricotta in it. I have to say the food was excellent, decor was kitschy, and server fantastic. The only complaint would have to be the amount of time it too to get the food. There were only two other patrons in for lunch and it took a while.

I feel like I'm talking behind Madhatters back because my family loves their pizza. But honestly it's just ok to me. Because I'm not a big fan of pizza, unless I make it at home, I tend to order other menu items. I have ordered salads, Stromboli, calzones, and sides. Unfortunately, their ingredients are below par and it shows. Like I said, the family does enjoy the pizza - namely, the white rabbit and chicken alfredo (not on the menu). The staff is always friendly whether in store or on the phone. Delivery can take over an hour if you're calling on Friday/Saturday night and pick up will only save you a handful of minutes. I'm trying to find another local pizza place because I do want to keep my business in Oviedo. Not sure how the rest of my people will feel about that!

I haven't tried the pizza yet, but the calzones are pretty good. Like most calzones, the "small" is pretty large. However, these calzones aren't as high and "puffed up" as what you might expect. Regardless, the cheese variation was filled with lots of ricotta and mozzarella. The marinara sauce was only OK -- but I'm a bit of a sauce snob, so that might be it. It was thin, a bit chunky and more orange than red. Good for a quick take-out option when you're in a pinch and want something more local than the Pizza Hut down the road. Note that the Yelp hours are incorrect. Mad Hatters IS open Sunday, but not Monday.

I am going to give this restaurant four stars for a pizza place. It is the best one I have found in Oviedo. When you call for delivery they are competent and friendly. Their pizzas are really good. The white pizza is the best I have ever had. Great! Meatball sub is really good as well. Delivery is timely and friendly. This is now my pizza place. I want to support a mom and pop type business that is doing a good job. I really like the fact they make it easy from ordering to delivery and are nice and serve good food. All I can ask.

So good. I've now had this place twice in one week. The first we ate there and the girl was so sweet. We had the garlic knots and they were really good. My husband had a sandwich and he loved it. I had the eggplant parm and you can just taste how fresh it was. Then today we had their pizza delivered and I my gosh it was wonderful. We figured an 18" would give us enough for lunch the next day but we couldn't stop eating it. I actually don't like sausage so my husband got it on just his half I ended up stealing one of his slices because the sausage was so good. If you're in the area do not hesitate to eat here.

I have been ordering pizza from Mad Hatters for years. No other pizza place compares. When I have out of state company their request for a first meal is always order from Mad Hatters. The owners are wonderful people and there is nothing else like a private locally owned business such as this!

Pizza was ok... I think the Doh is pre made. The girl at the desk was very sweet. Just don't think I will ever order again. Ok isn't reason enough to do if again.

We recently did a pizza challenge and ordered a medium pizza from three local pizza businesses: Bizzarro, Mad Hatters, and Papa Johns. We judged them on customer service on the phone, time it took to be delivered, size of pizza (weight and width), price, crust texture and flavor, and toppings. Mad Hatters' performance: customer service was (and is always) friendly; they said 45 minutes for delivery and we received the pizza in 24 minutes; the pizza weighed almost 2 pounds and it was 14 inches across; it cost $14.92; the crust was crunchy like bread crust- we're not fans of Mad Hatters' new crust; the pizza sauce was sweet and seasoned with herbs, mushrooms were fresh, and the pepperoni was more flavorful than what was on the other pies. In summary, we wish we could have Mad Hatters' toppings on Bizzarro's crust. Our ultimate wish is that Mad Hatters would return to their previous recipe for pizza crust.

Great local pizza and the best garlic knots. They offer delivery and have been ordering from there for years and have never been disappointed with anything we have ever ordered.

Best Oviedo pizza! The pizza is great, garlic knots are great, meatball sub is great. Need I say more? Oh, service is great too. I Have been going here for years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I will continue to recommend them to anyone in the Oviedo area

I cannot recommend this place for pizza. we ordered two large pizzas and for a little over $30 we would have rather had frozen pizzas. As other reviewers stated, it tastes like everything is straight out of a can and the crust was not crispy or soft but more like chewy carboard. Not a terrible pizza but definately not worth $30 when I can get as much food for $15 from little caesers and get a better pizza. I may give the calzones or stromboli a try but I will not get the pizza again.

I hate to throw a bucket of water on a local Mom n' Pop joint. The pizza is outright awful comparing to other pizza joints in Oviedo. The location is kind of run down in smack of Downtown Oviedo which is our version of being a shady area but it is only 2 or so blocks in what is a great city to live in. The place seems to be mostly empty with tacky checkerboard draped tables. We ordered a large cheese pie and there was no taste... I swear that they are using canned ingredients rather than "homemade" stuff. The crust tasted like cardboard :\ I am a native New Yorker therefore I know my pizzas, lol :-) It seems that they do have their small cliche of fans but you would find better pizza nearby like Backstreet Pizza (Twin Rivers/426) or Flippers Pizza by UCF (A great addition to this area). Just a tasteless, yet disappointing place. Avoid if you can! Beware- They do no longer accept Entertainment coupons if you were hoping to redeem them.

Pizza is always good and they have the best garlic knots. We have always had it delivered and has come pretty quick.I have read other peoples review and have no idea what they are complaining about. I have never listened to anyone's review that has to always mention that there from New York or New Jersey. No one cares it doesn't make you a pizza expert.

We love this place, and I am quiet shocked that more people don't go there and explore this local business. This place is never busy, so if you want peace and quiet and good service, then this is the place for you. As far as the food is concerned, it is one of the best pizza's in town. We have tried almost all of their Specialty Pizza's that are meatless and we love them, and have never had a complaint about any of the toppings that they choose and use. When we were eating meat, we loved the meat topped pizzas as well as their subs and side salads. WE LOVE their potato salad, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how they do it. They roast the potatoes and it makes all the difference in the taste and texture of the salad. Sometimes we go their just to get the potato salad to take on road trips with us. I wish more people would go to this place, I would hate to see it vanish one day.

This place produces the best pizza around... If you're sick of the franchise taste...give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. Check out the chickens that hang out in the back of the restaurant for a little entertainment.

Some unique varieties of specialty pizzas. Including some with red sauce, white sauce,or no sauce. Good dough/crust. Other specialty options: A taco pizza (the sombrero) and a barbecue chicken pizza. Worth a try!

Awful! I think they either buy the crust or they bake a sheet and then just cut out circles to simulate pie. We just moved here from the NJ/NYC area and we are not pizza snobs but we like a real pie, this was worse than any chain (yes even Hungry Howies)

Not the best pizza in the area but friendly service for a great price. Many cheap lunch specials. Wings are decent, calzones also worth a try. To the person who said it's in a shady part of town, that's ridiculous. It's downtown Oviedo, it's an old part of town but shady? That being said we usually order take out because the inside is small and a little dreary.

The Pizza here is definitely the best pizza around, I am a huge fan of the white rabbit only con I see is the atmosphere is a little old but the staff is awesome and make of for what the decor may be lacking. The garlic knots and dipping sauce are the absolute best appetizer just yummy.

I have to say I never thought such good food came out of this little place. From the pizza to the salads to the breadsticks and wings everything I've ever had there is freshly made. The service has always been great. Hope we don't lose one of the only good places in Oviedo. And by the way there is nothing shady about the area, only some Oviedo chickens running around.

I discovered this hidden gem in Oviedo about a year ago and I can say they have the best Stromboli I've ever had. The dough is home made to die for. Don't forget to try their different sauces. Garlic knots? OMG! Tons of garlic fresh and delicious. Got to try this place.
