I stopped and had a meal here several times a couple years ago (pre-Yelp). The food was more than adequate, service was good, and overall it was an enjoyable place to stop. I keep seeing that they have added music with Folk performers and jams regularly, so I am going to have to get back there and see what it's all about. I'll update this with a current review when I get that done. ************************EDIT******************************** Add-on: Went up for dinner on Saturday, having heard that Dell Hoyt was going to be playiing. Dell has been at some jams i've attended and he's good, i think, so it was a good chance to see the Diner. It's changed some since I was last there, new owners and improved layout. They have an outdoor seating area and two main areas inside. The music was sey up in the side room and it worked out well. There was a pleasant crowd and service was great. They had a list o specials on the board and I went for a plate of pork roast with sides. Good comfort food on a cool evening. The menu is diner fare plus. Lots of choices and from what I saw othrs eating, it all looked good. Plenty of breakfast choices and others. They apparently have beer and wine, but I didn't check the selection or prices. Dinner for two with desert and coffee was more than rteasonably priced, adding in the entertainment made it extra good. I'll stop again when I'm out that way.

If you are hungry and in Osteen then the dining choices consist of the Osteen Diner or the Subway at the gas station. How we ended up in the middle of nowhere is another story but we were glad the diner was open. Friendly servers, great southern style sweet tea, and a satisfying meal for all.

Nice, fatty, filing blue collar food. If you like big wads of home fries, sweet tea, buckets of grits and chunks of jittery coffee, like most folks around here, you will like this place. It's a great place to fuel up on the way to Bike Week or the beach if you've forgotten to eat. The phony antiques on the front porch are fun to look at, and it's the only place you really want to eat in Osteen. For a nice potpie kind of filling quisine, it's also the only place to eat in Osteen that doesn't require a sidearm with the safety off. A BIG FORKS UP WITH A BUCKET.

OMG I wish I would of taken the advise of my fellow Yelpers and only gotten the "pie" and only the "pie" but no it was breakfast time I thought for sure this little diner in the middle of nowhere had to be good since they cater to a local crowd to survive. The two star review will allow me to return and try the PIE! Biscuits and Sausage Gravy - I've never tried so hard to eat anything so horrible but I couldn't do it it was absolutely the worst looking and tasting biscuits and gravy I've every attempted to eat. It was apparent that the biscuits weren't fresh and had been microwaved on the max setting for an extended period of time, the interior of the biscuit was so hot I burnt the insides of my mouth. No conventional oven can heat a biscuit to those temperatures, the gravy was lukewarm slop out of a bag or can from some food service supplier ( I don't think food service gravy could be that bad) it was not only horrible to look at it was disgusting. (You have to look at the photo to believe it) Veggie Omelet - flat and bland there is no need to say anymore. Hash-browns - meh (who can't open a bag and throw some on the flattop Coffee - extremely weak like the grounds were used twice. Service - just okay Although I was extremely disappointed I have to try the pie so I will stop in again if I'm in the area and grab a slice but I would never drive a block out of my way to come here. I waited all day to write this review so I would not be reactive and I hate writing this type of review but they need to understand this is unacceptable and it was $20.00 to boot.

Good, straightforward diner fare, terrific service! The bacon on my turkey club was perfectly crisp, and I was able to sub cucumber salad for the fries. We ordered their fried pickles and they were good too- light and crisp, not too heavy or greasy. One slight downside, my husband's turkey Reuben was only okay and the fries were not as crisp as we tend to prefer. The iced tea was fresh though and the decor was charming and quaint. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Decided to take a buddy out for dinner and it ended up being the worst dinner I have had in over 10 years. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was awful. The waitress brought the dish and said that I needed more gravy. She came back with a huge bowl of gravy that I could have turned upside-down and it would have stayed in the bowl. My corn was cold and the applesauce definitely came from a jar. I will never be dining there again, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone that I like. :)

All in all, it's just another diner down the street.. Went here today in a whim because my father fancies mom and pop locations just like this. Upon arriving we noticed that the place was halfway full, and being where it was, all of the people there were locals. I would assume they have built up a good rapport with the community. Prices were fair. My father ordered the fried catfish with corm hush puppies and fries, me and my mother ordered the club sandwich, I roast beef and my mother turkey. One thing we noticed immediately was how quick the service was! We had our food in what felt like no time! The club was okay at best, it is only that there was nothing that made it stand out. The catfish looked good but I personally think that $11 for one fillet is a but much. All of us got French fries that were nothing special, they were bagged then fried. The sweet tea was the oddest color though it almost tasted watered down and way to sweet. The crime de la creme though was the pie! I mean, dang! I got the peanut butter and my mom got the coconut creme, I'm still craving it! I think we'll be back, the service was nice and there wasn't anything that made me not want to return!!

We didn't have to wait long at all for our food to arrive. The service here is quick! The food is pretty basic diner food and the sweet tea was delicious and refreshing.I say this diner is A-ok I just wish the utensils would have been cleaner...3 out of the 4 utensils we were given to eat with appeared to be dirty 2 of our forks had what appeared to be crusted on old cheese and the other looked like it was just wiped off with a napkin...

I didn't get a chance to check the yelp reviews to deterimine if I wanted to eat here. We were brought to the Osteen Diner by friends that live in the area. The food is not good relative to the diner food we are used to eating. The atmosphere was very local. There were a lot of local people in to listen to the blue grass entertainment. Prices were average for what you got, but quantity doesn't make up for quality which was lacking.

Loved the breakfast here!!! Definitely gonna be our new weekend breakfast spot. The traditional eggs and bacon meals are just so good it's hard for me to go and try anything else. Everything looks good and I'm looking forward to trying their lunch/dinner options.

I am new to this area..Ordered to go Country fried steak and mashed potatoes. If I wanted gravy for the potatoes, it was an upcharge of $1.29. The country fried steak had a wax paper wrap around 1/4 of it. The salad --lettuce had brown edges. Ranch was very good. Ordered a side of fried okra and there were maybe 15pcs of okra in that box. They close at 2PM on Sun - went to PU the call in order at 1:50PM, doors were locked and staff just walked by like I wasn't there trying to get my Call In order. Never again.

Pie! Pie! My Oh My! Everything else was mediocre diner food, but the pie. The pie was made by someone's grandma. Not my grandma because she's senile and thinks a horse lives in her bedroom, but someone's grandma made this pie with butter and old arthritic hands. It's made with love and you can taste it, unlike my hashbrowns. Stop for the pie, and maybe a cup of coffee. Skip the rest.

Classic local county Diner. Good food. Good service. Small Zoo out back for the kids. Located at the end of the new Gemini Bicycle Trail with a bike bridge over the road to within 100 yards of the Diner. Ride from Gemini Springs , along Lake Monroe, to the diner. Eat and drink. And ride back burning off more calories than you eat. The ladies enjoyed their salads. The guys had a buffalo chicken wrap and a club sandwich to die for with turkey, ham, bacon, etc. What's not too like?

We have just discovered this place place and have been going once a week. OK, the food is on par with any diner food around, nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong with it. The pies are great! The staff is super friendly, the owner and his wife are charming and chatty. The music on Saturday nights is outstanding. All in all, I love going here. Even if sometimes something is absolutely perfect, it still "feels" good, like going to grandmas.

Great place for breakfast while out on a motorcycle ride. We had lunch today which was great. Ham and scalloped potatoes.

The Osteen Diner is alright, not spectacular but alright. We stopped here mostly because it is about halfway between the airport in Orlando and my girl's grandparents place in Daytona. It was still morning and we got breakfast, the eggs were done just right but the bacon was like a rock! I like it crispy but not rip my teeth out crispy. The service was quick and friendly, the prices were about standard for a diner in the middle of nowhere. It will do the trick if you're hungry and the menu is large enough to satisfy whatever you might be hungry for.

My husband wanted to try this place, so we went there for breakfast. I had the veggie omelet with homefries, a biscuit and a blueberry pancake. The omelet and homefries were acceptable and the hot sauce they gave me was fantastic. The biscuit was also good, and I tried a teeny tiny bit of my husband's gravy, but it was so grey and unappetizing looking, that I didn't want much of it. The blueberry pancake was just gross. I was looking forward to a homemade pancake or one on the caliber of First Watch, but got the cheapest box tasting fried flour patty you could imagine. This place doesn't have to worry about Guy Fierri stopping by, unless he gets lost on his way to Orlando.
