I gave them 4 stars because of their pricing. We have ordered pizzas and salads from here quite a few times. The food quality is excellent! Being a New Yorker, I know what pizza should taste like and this is definitely up there my list for pizza.

Great pizza, extremely quick delivery. The cheese was... really, really good. Great find in college park!

My $11 meatball sub was soggy with just meatball scraps and pieces. Money well wasted.

I have been eating at this restaurant since it opened. I knew Denny when he was a bartender -server in longwood. He takes great pride in the food he makes. In regards to Kevin R comment because the food is so good sometimes you run out of things. That happens at all restaurant. I've been to some very fine dinning places and that happens. You also have to remember when it comes to larger parties it will take a little longer for the food to come out no matter what type of restaurant it is. far as your comment regarding business decisions unless you are involved you can't understand or know all the facts. I've been on both sides and management has to make the right decision for there business. Bottom line is servers come and go in this industry they are hard to fine, but the food Is still awesome no matter who serves it to you.

Excellent service, food, and prices! Bellisimo! They make awesome garlic knots and the pizza have cool names and taste delish!!! Don't blink or you as you drive by on Edgewater or you will miss it. There is a Catholic high school across the street

Late last month (Aug. 2011), I stopped in here to check out its pizza. If you saw some of my reviews from that month, you may have noticed that I was scoping out a lot of local pizza places in an attempt to find my favorite one. It's odd that I had not yet been here until last month, seeing as how I've lived in College Park since Spring 2009. I'd driven by here many times, but I guess I never knew it was there. Hmm. The reviews on here spurred me to check it out, so off I went. As I usually do when I'm trying take-/carry-out pizza for the first time, I simply ordered two plain/cheese slices. I think the total was $4-something, which was pretty fair/commonplace. I dug in as soon as I got home and enjoyed the pizza a lot. The crust was how I like it and everything else measured up with my other favored pizza around town. It definitely is something I'll try again and I also will consider going here to dine-in sometime soon. I'm curious to see how the rest of the food is. Four stars for now.

I grew up eating at their Altamonte Springs location. So when I moved to College Park I was elated (especially while moving in with no stove installed yet) to see they delivered. Ordered a pie the first night and it was just as delish as I remembered. So on the second night we order again, this time lighter fair. However our deliver was less than complete, or hot, however still palatable. We let them know and started looking for a new Pizza joint. However blood sugars dropped a few days later after hours in the yard and we gave them another shot, knowing we had a credit for a salad. We ordered enough for an army and upon deliver Amanda informed us Donny had taken care of the bill. The fair was what I have come to expect of their food; spectacular. Everyone makes mistakes it's nice to know that there are still establishments that value the quality and consistency of their product as well as their customers!

I was excited to try Caffe Positano due to the great reviews here but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. We went on a Friday night around 930 and were the only ones there. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. I wanted eggplant parmigiana but I didn't want a huge order with pasta so I asked if I could get a small a la cart order, which they did with no problem. It was still a lot of food, though, so I had enough for 3 meals. My friend got fettuccine alfredo and also had enough for at least 3 meals. Unfortunately, both were kind of bland and required a fair amount of salt, and I very rarely salt my food. However, the bread you're served before your meal is scrumptious! Based on others' reviews of their pizza, I may try theirs next time I have a hankerin' for some.

My favorite pizza in Orlando! Let me tell you about a little slice of heaven called the Sammie Pie at Cafe Positano. Crust that is crisp - not undercooked, tasty sauce, a very generous amount of cheese. Then they top it with pepperoni, sausage (thinly-sliced REAL Italian sausage, not the crumbly nuggets), roasted red peppers and sliced tomatoes. If you asked me to name my 4 best pizza toppings - it would be those 4 named above... but this is not my own custom creation - it is a specialty pie that's right on the menu. Every time I get this pizza, I say "Damn, it's SO good" more than twice (and at a reasonable price)! I've sampled some of the other foods on the menu. They were decent, but not great. My wife doesn't care for their marinara sauce at all. The homemade cannolis are excellent. Overall, I say pick up a pizza and some mini-cannolis to-go and you'll be very happy - and it won't set you back too much.

Just moved to College Park and have been searching for a killer pizza joint. The guy behind the counter promised it was the best pizza in town. He was right.

Best pizza in the area. Beautiful restaurant -- such lovely decor. Friendly staff. Was in town for a few days from NYC and it made me feel like I should just move to Orlando. So impressed.

We were excited about trying this restaurant out because it was on restaurant impossible. We were disappointed. The first thing I noticed as you enter was a weird smell to the restaurant. Couldn't place the odor. We sat in the corner taking in the ambiance. Beautifully decorated by Robert Irvine designers but that's where the charm ends. The restaurant was very clean on appearance. I went to the bathroom it was clean but no Paper towels to dry your hands and out of toilet paper. The waitress had not checked the bathroom in a while. She thanked me for letting her know. Then Our appetizers came, it was good but lacked seasoning. The garlic knots seemed bland and the marinara sauce had no basil or spice and the slice of pizza my Husband and I shared was good. Our main dishes came in hot and looked fantastic but my husband's gnocchi had very little flavor and again no basil or spice. I ordered the fried flounder fish. It looked great it was suppose to be on top of polenta but it was on top weird risotto which the waitress never told me they were out of. It tasted horrible. I took one bite and had to return it. It was the combo of the risotto and fish that was bad. I then ordered the rolled eggplant rollitini appetizer as my main entree with another slice of pizza. The rollitini was soggy and laden down and smothered in sauce. The sauce again had no flavor to it. Very little basil and garlic, no salt and the only thing helping it was the ricotta and mozzarella. I ate two of the rolls because I was hungry and ate the pizza. The waitress was very nice she did not charge us for my dish. Would I go back? not likely but someone else might have a better experience. Their food seemed fresh but lacked flavor and no soul.

As a New Yorker who is transitioning into a full-fledged Floridian I have to say that this is the best Pizza I have had in Orlando since moving here almost two years ago. I could write a long review about this place but the above should suffice. Trust me and the ratings, this place is a home run!

Excellent dinner last night. Love the changes and the Sicilian pizza is the best in town. We will be back.

Excellent place to go for some great pasta and pizza!! I ordered a to go order of the Pasta Della Casa. The house- made pasta was fantastic and the marinara sauce was very flavorful. Huge serving too!! They also serve GREAT pizza. The dough is mixed well and you can tell all the toppings are fresh and very tasty. You won't regret coming here for lunch or dinner

Isabella's pie is my favorite pizza in Orlando. Good choice of meats and eggplant...you can't beat it! Staff is great! My daughter loves the pizza by the slice. I haven't been disappointed

A colleague and I ventured out and tried something new. I heard about the "remake" of Tornatore Pizzeria so we checked it out on our lunch break. The decor was nice and we sat upon walking in. It smells delicious in there! I ordered the Tortellini in a basil cream sauce and my friend ordered a Caesar salad. Fresh bread was brought and it was delicious. Our food was also VERY good(fresh house made pasta) but portion size was terrible. For $10.95 I got 8 tiny tortellini. It arrived in a huge bowl and looked more like a soup. Although it was really delicious the value was not there. Was worth more like $6.95. We will return but I will skip the pasta and maybe try a pizza next time.

Incredible. I'm addicted to the Bolognese sauce. Tons of meat in a tomato sauce that I have to say is better than my Grandma used to make! Sorry Gramma. Fresh made pasta always cooked to perfection and if you don't see quite what you crave on the menu, ask! You might get a real Italiano treat.

As a College Park Resident for the past 4 years, I'm embarrassed to say I had never been to Tornatore's when they were Cafe Positano's. Biggest regret ; I feel like I've been missing out and wasting my time on other pizza all these years! :) Of all the neighborhoods in Orlando, College Park by for has the most pizza places. If you're in College Park and can't decide on which pizza place to go, GO TO TORNATORE'S!!! We ordered pizza from here for the first time last month and we have gone back 3 times! Every time we get something different. So far every specialty pizza we have ordered has been amazing! The Leah's Pie sticks out the most. It's very obvious that everything is house made. The last 2 times we have gone to pick up our pizza so we can take home one of their pre-made meals that you take home and bake. So genius!!! Be sure to try the meatballs and at least one pasta dish! The pizza is very good but the other dishes should not be over looked.

We had a fabulous lunch today and went home with leftovers! Being Italian and one that cooks I am very picky about Italian food. The food was amazing, loved the marinara sauce. I will be going back again. I have been there once before and loved the pizza. I am now going to work my way down the menu and introduce others to some really superb Italian food.

So I know this is a pizza place. But I decided to be different and get the tomato soup and garlic knots. The tomato soup is made fresh to order. Perfect consistency and flavor. I like how the garlic knots have freshly pressed garlic on them. And they're also made fresh. Servers were good. My only complaint is that I wish my water was refilled more often. But overall good experience!

The pizza was good. The service was good. The people are friendly. A nice family atmosphere. One thing they could improve upon - they charge $8.75 for a "Greek" salad that wasn't very Greek and was more like the size of a side salad - definitely not worth $8.75. We won't order that again.

Being a fan of Restaurant Impossible, I had to check out their work at Tornatore's. The parking lot is a bit small and the restaurant was very busy with a lunch crowd. The decor is exceptional and you immediately get a feeling that this is a classy place. Lunch started with our server taking beverage orders and then bringing fresh rolls with olive oil for dipping. The bread was great but the olive oil was lacking flavor so we added oregano, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. We shared our feedback with the server and hopefully he shares it with the kitchen. After all, this initial impression should set the tone for the whole meal. Appetizer was the mussels served in a white wine sauce. I couldn't resist... I had to pick up the bowl and drink the broth at the end. It was that good! The main course was a tough choice since all pasta is made fresh daily on site. There are plenty of choices in pasta and sub sandwich categories but in the end we chose the frutti di mare. The pasta is fantastic, sauce is amazing, seafood all cooked perfectly and delicious. The meal ended with cannoli and of course they make their own cream filling on site as well. Service throughout our meal was exceptional. If they keep up the quality food and service, this Restaurant Impossible will be a local hit. My next visit will be specifically for pizza since the ratings from fellow Yelpers are encouraging. Looking forward to going back soon along with more friends.

After being on a Restaurant Impossible binge, my boyfriend and I stumbled across Tornatore's episode. Right then and there, we knew we had to go check it out. Man! It does NOT disappoint!! It's a small intimate location, and Jessica was wonderful. There was a hold up with our pizzas but a free appetizer and round of beers was sent over. Now, that's amazing customer service, they obviously really care about their guests. The pizzas were well worth waiting for too. And the chocolate cake was to die for! We are planning on returning this weekend to try the homemade pasta and cheesecake!

Outstanding! Went for lunch and had the chicken pasta with olive oil and sundried tomatoes. Pasta was perfect. You can tell its homemade. Took some meatballs home and they ticked. Great sauce and meatballs were the best. Service to match. I'll be back

Not sure what happened here but when the name was Caffe Positano the pizza was INSANELY good. Now the name has changed and pizza has fallen off a cliff. The Brooks pie from last night wasnt worth eating because the crust was burnt and the cardboard box would have had more flavor. The pepperoni pizza from 2 weeks ago had good flavor but the crust was burnt to the point that it was black on the bottom. I'll give it one more chance and then I'm done. There are to many pizza options in College Park to pay what they charge and then get well below subpar quality.

So far so good. Just decided to try this place based on reviews from Yelp. Had the vegetable pizza and it is by far the best pizza I've had in Orlando so far...and I've lived here for 2 1/2 years. The crust was perfect, not too thin, not too thick. The toppings were fresh and sauce was great. I'll definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

I have watched Denny and crew build Café Positano from an empty unit in a strip center to a simply fantastic little Italian jewel in College Park. Denny and staff are warm, friendly, and quick to please. Their pizza is the best in town and I call him the Pizza Don. His food is wonderful. I am partial to the calzones, lasagna, and all the subs. My wife loves the ravioli and ALL the homemade desserts they make daily. OMG I almost forgot about the fabulous pasta made daily from scratch! YUM says it all. My wife & I have decided that we are going to make Café Positano our Friday night since we are tried of paying for bad food and bad service. At Denny's place we always get great food, great service, and are treated just like we were family! He has our business!

I just happened to be driving by and was craving some spaghetti! I stopped in...cute little place....emphasis on the little. The place was hoppin. I got an order of garlic knots....a little too crispy for me, but good. The spaghetti and meatballs were amazing. So good! I want to go back for more! Great service, friendly staff. I highly recommend it, would encourage them to start looking for a bigger space :)

Caffe Positano could also be described as "Caffe Positively". What a wonderful experience for young people looking for a quick snack or a host of your closest family members sitting down to some of the best Italian food central Florida has to offer. The atmosphere is quaint, and wholesome. The employees and the owner are always eager to please. From their sandwiches to their dinners entrees and subs you can always expect something delicious here. I'd try to recommend one thing in particular, but it would be difficult as I've been there several times and I've been pleasantly satisfied each time.

This pizza is some of the best we've had. Two thumbs up! The crust the sauce and all ingredients were simply awesome. Can we still get excited about pizza? Yes we can. Better than most pizzas on the planet probably. I kid you not!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
