Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

Typical Friday's, nothing special. I got a burger everything was good, nothing was excellent a bit the same you'd expect. Although I did have to ask for honey mustard three times before receiving and it wasn't busy in there. We also got the spinach dip for an appetizer and it was delicious

Gone here a few times since it's close by But usually same type of service when I'm there When I go to the bar Which is normally waiting for service and pretty much grabbing anyone's attention to get my order every time I need something. Food is pretty decent

Co-Worker chose this spot of our Friday night drinks and dinner spot. I thought to myself hmm haven't been there in a very long time. I arrived to the restaurant and joined the ladies. Waiter came over and asked if I wanted a drink I said I sure as hell do he recommended the strawberry margarita, I also ordered an appetizers nachos. One of the ladies ordered the mozzarella sticks and they tasted like warmed over breaded cheese sticks with way to much bread. Another friend shows up orders a drink. Surely my drink is coming soonI think to myself. My friend who had just arrived receives her drink. I asked the waiter hey will I ever get my drink? The waiter asked did you order a drink? OMG I ordered a strawberry margarita the one you recommended. Finally receive my drink. My friends complained that their drinks did not have any alcohol. They receive new drinks which were better then the initial. My nachos arrive and we all dive into them. They are just okay nothing to write to Yelp about. Refrained beans and cheese on large flat nacho chips with one slice of jalapeño pepper on top. We did not eat them all as they were not great. The guacamole has very bland. We ordered out food. I ordered a cheeseburger with everything except onions. What came out was a burger with onions. No justice for me at all this night i guess. After the awful service I ordered a brownie with ice cream, caramel on the side. WE all dived into the brownie. Ladies and gentlemen this was our highlight of dinner. It was sweet gooey goodness!!! I should have ordered this from the beginning and save me some heartache from the other madness. We end up ordering another brownie and everyone agreed that next time we will only order a brownie and leave.

This is where my friends and I sometime come for happy hour. I typically go on Wednesday's because I love the "Pink Punk Cosmos". I love the way the martini glass comes to the table filled with pink cotton candy. Once the waiter places the glass on the table they pour the mixed concoction of over the pink cotton candy. The liquid goodness melts the pink cotton candy and voila the "Pink Punk Cosmos" is born. Their wings are pretty good too. I believe they are half off during happy hour and the Pink Punk Cosmos are only $3.00. SHOUT OUT TO THE WAITER MIKE (BALD DUDE)! You went above and beyond.

you'll have a great time or maybe not. My son ordered a jack Daniel's Flat Iron steak but came to the table without the Jack Daniel sauce. The waitress (Sandra) was no where to be found. So we could not even get refills. The place was not even busy when we were being served. When we finally found her and asked for a refill we never got them.

  • Luis V.

Do not come here! I've been in this TGIF like 3 times, and it's always the same thing. Poor food quality, especially the appetizers. They look and taste like the microwaveable you get at any supermarket. There are usually 8-10 tables available, but you still have to wait 15 minutes to get a table because they're understaffed. After you finally get a table, you have to wait 10 minutes or more for someone to actually pay attention to you and take your order. Bathrooms are dirty. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. If you happen to be in the Millenia, don't waste your time and money, and go somewhere else.

    (1)
  • Kim T.

Well, I've been waiting for almost 15 minutes for someone to even greet me at my table. Not a good start. I'm fairly certain my visit to this Friday's will not end well. It seem like they are understaffed. Hardly any cars in parking lot. Not typical of this brand. Will not be returning to this location.

The service is less than average. I have not been to this place in about a year and back then I loved this place. It took about 5 min to get noticed at the host stand. Then when we finally got seated the server took what felt like 20 min. Then it took only a short conversation for me to decide we needed to get out of this place. That will be the last time I ever go to this place.

    (1)
  • Ashley L.

Let me see 20 min wait, cold fries, flat soda, burnt dry chicken went in hungry left hungry! Wait staff was nice buy refills take forever. Oh and smallest thinnest hamburger patties ever, thinner than McDonalds!

  • Jamie J.

This is one of those dining experiences where you think back and ask yourself why you came here the first place. 20 minutes to get the pot stickers I ordered and they came Luke warm like they were sitting in a window without a heat lamp. During that 20 minutes I ordered a a salad and soup. Not bad... hot soup with no flavor and a salad that was as expected ( good but not wow) really what could be wow about a house salad. The the entree... Bruchetta chicken pasta. Usually a great dish. This time just a bit spicier than normal.. but I like spicy and it was good. Presentation lacking because the chicken is usually cut on a bias and not dried thick cuts of chicken like this time. Fridays is just an easy spot to decide on but maybe not next time. Step up speed of service and pay attention to the time food should be coming from the kitchen. With no one in the restaurant service shouldn't be slow. Or maybe only 1 person in the back with the Manger not in sight... most critical time of the day. Bartenders are very nice, just more talkitive with the staff than with the 2 people at the bar tipping them for watching tv. At the end redemption.. an actual conversation with one of the 2 bartenders. Very polite

Okay give me my Stripes. This frequent diner program of theirs really works. Who doesn't like free food. We went to this location because we were on our way to a Special Olympics event out at ESPN Wide World of Sports. I found this location really busy for the 5:30 pm time frame we were there at. Cocktail hour I presume!! Anyway my wife and I told our server that we were a little pressed for time, we ordered a spicy salmon dish that day, which was cooked just right. The vegetables still had a little crunch to them. Our beverages were always filled and our server got us out of there in a timely fashion. Service was attentive but not over bearing and our requests were filled in a timely fashion.

A friend and I went here on a Saturday night and found it odd to see a mostly empty parking lot. When we walked in, we did get acknowledged by the hostess who was trying to get a family with kids situated. She then said if we wanted to sit at the bar, we could sit anywhere. That was pretty much the truth seeing as they were the least busy TGI Friday's at 6:30 on a Saturday night that I'd ever seen. It took us 10 minutes sitting at a table to find out why. Nobody seemed to want to serve us. After I reached the limits of my patience, my friend and I got up and left. If I couldn't even get someone there other than the hostess to acknowledge our existence, I'm not sure I will ever want to return.

To start, this is a Fridays...so the expectations are just that of what they should be for the place. I wont review based off of the food (except for the fact that they don't seem to grasp how to cook a burger to a certain temp), as it is usually the same at all locations visited, but I will review the service...which is lackluster at best. I have been here just a few times and have always sat at the bar or in the bar area. Each time our server has been very nice, but slow and disconnected from our table...with extended delivery times on our drinks, apps, food and closing of the check. When you think of the bar area, you usually imagine a lot of people filling the place, but sadly each time for us it has not been that busy. Again, this is a Fridays, so it is what it is...I stop by due to the convenience of it all. So, all in all I guess you get what you pay for here, service included.

I ordered the jack Daniels burger with sweet potatoes. I really wish they would actually load up on the fries. There was just a handful of them. Had to order extra for an additional $5. My burger was awesome though.

If I could give this location zero stars I would. Before I single out this location please note that I've visited several of the local tgi Friday's in Orlando over the years and I cannot understand how they remain open. Somewhere in the last ten years this chain took a wrong turn. The food quality has plummeted. We visited this location after shopping in the area. What a tragic mistake. Menus and table was sticky. There was visible sticky food marks and grease on both of our menus. Yuck! We ordered drinks and appetizers at the bar. The drinks were ehh but the food in edible. Honestly I can not believe the presentation of the food. The potato skins were comical in presentation. I had to ask for scallions. It was prepackaged frozen"potato skins" with a weird slip of what looked like dry cold nacho cheese. Honestly it didn't look or taste like food. We left annoyed at wasting our money. We posted on Facebook about our experience. Others seem to have experienced the same thing with this chain. Why is it still open?!? Who eats at tgi Friday's anymore??

We've been to this location a few times now and - well, to put it kindly - at least we were served this time. The previous two attempts at this location we were ignored and finally decided to get up and leave - taking our business elsewhere after 15 minutes and not even being acknowledged. I suppose desperation brought us back today, it wasn't busy at all. We chose to sit in the bar just due to convenience and figured it would be a quicker meal that way. Our order of a burger and boneless wings took far longer than we ever imagined these pretty standard items to reach the table. The food wasn't great, but - hey. It's a Fridays. I'm not expecting Emril Lagassee behind the grill. The service however was pretty atrocious. Slow, disconnected, and at times I received just down right creepy-server-stares in my direction. I thought it was just me getting an "off" vibe from the guy - but my boyfriend noticed it too. So, Creepy Server Status to you, guy! We've been to plenty of Fridays in Orlando - all of which have offered far superior service and food. This location is definitely off our list from here on out.

I love going to Friday's but this location just plain horrible. I went during my one-hour lunch break, just ordering a flatbread and the $6.99 Unlimited lunch deal that includes bread sticks, salad, soup and drink. After placing my order for 30 minutes, I got the flatbread. After 45 minutes later, I finally got my soup and salad. The soup was luke-warm, which means that it had been sitting out there for a while until the waitress actually . Definitely not enough time to eat everything because I had to be back at the office so I asked to quickly cash out and for to-go boxes. When receiving my tab, the server had charged me a total of $27! It should have only been $10! I told her about it and she apologized and said, "I'm so sorry, they rung it up wrong!" I had to stick around to get that discrepancy taken care of, and I was late back to the office. I was so sad that it was such a horrible experience. :(

  • Idalia D.

The service was veryyyyyyyyyyy slow! We waited so long for our food and by the time I receive my 3 sampler it was cold which I could not complain because I was already late for work. I love TGIF but will not visit this location again.

    (2)
  • Jami M.

So far my experience is a "little iffy" due to the fact the hostesses weren't sure which waiter "wanted another table." Ok... I'll continue after my dinner is served.

5 Stars for a great Happy Hour. I really like their Margaritas! The bartenders were friendly and very helpful. Even tried some appetizers that were good!

These people are so sllllloooow! Even when it's pretty empty they're slow and it's always cold. Food it good but be ready to wait a week to enjoy it.

  • Jordan D.

My wife and I took my parents to this location, I had raved about the black bean burger and unlimited artichoke and spinach dip from the week before that I had with my wife. We come back to be told immediately that the unlimited spinach dip is for single use only and would be 10 per person, mind you multiple restaurants that are their competition offer unlimited salsa and chips or soup and salad etc for a low price. I'm not paying 40 for us to have unlimited dip that's obscene. Once we place our drink orders it took the waitress 15 minutes to get my parents their coke zero because apparently she had to change out the syrup itself... I had ordered the strawberry lemonade, she got me a refill then told me that for the next refill I would be charged for it, again not something any of their competition charges for. We got our bean burgers which were done, however the fries tasted as though they had sat out for at least ten minuted they were all cold and mushy, this is the last time I recommend your place of business or go there myself.

First and last time eating at this Fridays. When we first walk in, I stand right in front of the hostess who does not even acknowledge me for a good 5 minutes until I finally say, "table for 5 please". Then she proceeds to tell me there would be a 20 min wait. Ok no problem. ( mind you more than half of the tables inside were empty and clean) we finally get called in and sit at the table for another 20 minutes before the server even takes our drinks. He offered to bring us chips and salsa for the wait, which of course didn't even come out for another half hour, with our meal! Refills? We had to get up and ask for them ourselves. The place was not even that packed and I counted a good 15 people that turned around and walked right out there. There was absolutely NO sense of urgency. The only good thing was the food when it finally arrived.

    (1)
  • Laura L.

Worst Fridays ever! Came on a Sunday and this place is pure chaos and they are not even busy. People are complaining all around us. Took us 10 minutes to even get acknowledged. Then another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The food is good just like Fridays always is, but service sucks. We have been done with our food for 15 minutes. He never asked how we were doing and we are still waiting for him to even acknowledge that we are done so we can get the heck out of this place. Our server was a big guy named Chris.

    (1)
  • Kim D.

What can I say, that has not already been said? Maybe that the appetizers (or starters) are delicious! My all time favorite is the Sizzling Shrimp and Chicken. I seem to order that frequently. The drink specials are good, although I wish the happy hour drinks were available in the dining room. I really do enjoy going here, except for when it's too cold, or too loud. So I try not to go on Saturday night. But overall it's a great restaurant to go to.

    (4)
  • Jason M.

Very slow service. We won't be eating here again. I ordered a burger, and the patties were so thin I thought it was a joke. There were two patties on my burger, each one as thin as maybe three CDs stacked together. Our waitress was nice, but we still left hungry. They got my money, don't give them yours.

Hadn't had a problem with this location before until today. My husband, baby, and I came in for dinner around 6 and was seated promptly. I left to change her, came back, and was shocked to see that no one had greeted my husband yet. We waited a few more minutes...still nothing. No one even acknowledged us. They kept walking past. My husband flagged one of the servers who apologized and said he'd take us. He also stated he'd informed the manager and that they would put a rush on our food. A manager NEVER came to the table nor did the entree come out rushed. Mind you, we ordered an app so there was ample time for us to not be sitting there with no food. We will not be returning. Management obviously sucks as the servers have a lack of teamwork and work ethic. We watched another table next to us get blown off for a while as well by (I'm guessing) the same server. If you don't want to serve, choose a different job.

    (2)
  • Mason C.

Had a weird experience start to finish. Hostess didn't make me and my girlfriend seem welcomed. Then our server was either new or something. He didn't know some specials and was constantly on our case about ordering. The food was subpar and a little expensive and the menu seemed to lack originality, variety, and lack of choices. Overall TGIF on a Friday night was not the nice dinner I had in mind.

    (1)
  • Jackie O.

We generally have a decent time going to most Friday's locations, however, tonight was not a good night. Bad attention to detail led to me switching entrees with my companion because the person who brought out my food decided it wasn't important enough to pay attention to special order instructions. It doesn't matter how trivial you might think it is, customization is part of your service, so you should pay attention and do it right. What's worse...manager came over, said he'd look into it, but NEVER came back.

Hamburger was surprisingly very good. The waiter said it comes out medium well which is fine. Would have liked it a little less done but still good. We got the beef and cheese dip, its ok, I remember it being better the first time I got it.

i frequent this Friday's because i work in the area and only sit at the bar and i must say katie, layla, and guy are all amazing bartenders! i always have a drink in my hand or am being refilled when any of them are waiting on me and my crew and never have a bad time. I think it is Thursday nights when they have karaoke night which is always fun just to go and make fun of people. I only eat the apps and I'm usually drunk when i order them but i would recommend the tostados nachos for sure! This Friday's seems to be the bar all of the Millenia employees hang out at after work but its always good times. Don't have to worry about people getting rowdy they have huge high def tvs and always have the sports games on! Would recommend this place for a nice drunken night out after work

It's Fridays! Nothing special, but they are trying to get the ppl in with their specials so I'll give them some credit. The happy hour specials are nice, drinks are good and food is average. Decent desserts as well, I really enjoy the vanilla bean cheese cake and brownie explosion

This is my first review as a yelp user. I'll start off by saying that my family was starving as we came to this TGIF for a few happy hour appetizers to hold us over till our late dinner. We ordered four appetizers and were served the first two within 15 minutes. The third appetizer we received probably 10 minutes after. After waiting ANOTHER 15 minutes we received buffalo wings instead of barbecue. The manager was very nice and comped us the meal, but we still left dissatisfied. Overall , we would never recommend this location.

    (2)
  • Jennifer D.

Can't comment on the food because we never received any. We were promptly seated. However, 15+ minutes later we had still yet to be acknowledged by a server. Needless to say, we left. The hostess was apologetic but what poor service!

  • Jj H.

Not a fan.... the food wasn't the usual Fridays. The waiter was "fake acting" she got away with it because she's cute. Burger my husband had was nasty according to him. Sizzling chicken cheese sat for a while because the cheese had settled. The chicken wasn't tendered. Yuk. Yuk. . And we were sat in the bar area without asking if it was okay.

I've gotten the same server as I did a few days before, and the service is still ok as it was before. I brought my fiancé family in here to have a late dinner since they just flew in. I was highly disappointed, we ordered our meals and drinks at the same time and some of them ordered appetizers as the meal, so half of us waited for the food to main course to come out and I was about to just cancel my order. I mean it doesn't take that long to cook a cajun shrimp and chicken pasta and a cheeseburger. Their excuse was valid though, it is a main course and we were on the appetizers at the moment, but when the food came out i had two bites because it was sitting in the back for a while. it was unappetizing, i just threw the entire dish out. I was not to happy about this. I'll give them another try in the future, but I will not recommend bring any groups here.

I can't really bring myself to give a chain restaurant more than three stars. The service and food is typical of any TGI's you visit. The food was satisfying and the service was prompt. The location itself is rather small for the location it is in but definitely lives up to the TGI Fridays name. If you're looking for a decent chain restaurant with good food, I'd recommend checking out TGIs. I had the sampler with wings, mozzarella sticks, potato skins and pot stickers. All cooked and delivered hot and ready. The waiter was very friendly and would come by often just to make sure we were doing well and kept us filled in drinks. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a typical decent restaurant in the Millenia area.

Apps decent, server was nice, but the bar couldn't get drinks out to save their lives. 15 min to get a beer, 20 for a mixed drink. Can't work the register, three times checks for a group of four were redone and still came out wrong.

I knew this would be a questionable experience from the moment we walked in. There was another couple in front us us and no one at the counter. The restaurant was only about half filled, but we stood at the front without being helped for 5-10 minutes. A guy eventually came, and instead of seating us and the other couple, he immediately picks up the phone and starts trying to take someones order (I say trying because he didn't even know the menu and was fumbling around attempting to find the item the caller wanted to order). Eventually another employee came by and seated us. We sat, and sat some more, our supposed server never coming by to take our order. A girl who wasn't our server did come finally and took our drink order, and we also gave her our dinner order since we had plenty of time to look over the menu and didn't know when we would see an employee again. Silverware was eventually given to us 20-30 minutes after being seated, and food came later, by someone who still wasn't our designated server. Food was fine, typical Friday's quality, nothing bad there. Our designated server finally came by near the end of our meal. Service was insanely slow for a restaurant that was wasn't even busy, I would not come back. Gave two stars since food wasn't terrible, otherwise it would have only gotten 1.

It's not that I dislike chain restaurants... I mean, they exist for a reason. People like consistency and familiarity to some degree. However, I prefer scouting and patronizing local joints. That's just me. Now that that's out of the way. I LOVE THIS TGI FRIDAYS! I know I know, I just said that thing about local joints. But I love this place. It basically looks the same as any other Friday's. The servers still wear red, white and black with their pieces of flare. And while you can't expect high-quality gourmet food here, this Friday's location has that something extra that other locations don't. I'm not sure if it's the friendly faces behind the bar (they ALWAYS remember names, and even past drink orders) or the fact that this place has a hoard of loyal regulars... but this Millenia location is pretty damn sweet. Plus, I like walking into a place and hi-fiving the bartender. It makes me feel cool and special. As far as the food, it's not really stellar. Although they have these Hibachi and Mediterranean skewer dishes that are actually not too bad - for a Friday's. I get the appetizer portion, because the main dish is freaking huge. This is definitely a cool place to kick back with a few drinks (super cheap, btw) and chat with some old friends whilst making new ones. Everyone is friendly. Why? A lot of the surrounding restaurants' employees frequent this place. And hospitality industry folks are always pretty social. Oh, and I met my boyfriend here... so I may be a little biased ;)

It's official. I. don't . like .Fridays. Period. No matter where. I know it's like a party place and all, but the food. . .it's just nothing there for me. Friday's and I simply do not understand each other. Maybe a cool place to hang out for drinks, anything other than that, just kinda skip it. Not that anything is terrible, just not my kinda food.

I don't ever do TGI Fridays, but I was on vacation in Orlando and needed something cheap to eat near the Millenia Mall. Man does this place have some specials during Happy Hour. Cheap Appetizers ($4) and drink specials ranging from $2.50 to $3.50 (didn't try because I was hung over from the night before lol). The appetizer food was actually pretty decent and the service was good. Bathroom was clean. I think I spent $15 here for 4 appetizers and a mango peach slushi drink (had a $5 off $15 coupon) . . . can't really beat that. Would like to come back the next time in Orlando and see if I can give this place a higher rating after trying their drink specials. Definitely a nice option around the mall, away from the expensive CheeseCake Factory and Blue Martini type of places.

No matter which TGIF you go to in the country, the food will remain the same: YUCK. Of course not my first choice for dining (not even my last choice???), I had to go here because my cousin wanted to go here. I haven't seen him in over 10+ years so I didn't care where we were eating, as long as I can spend some quality time with him, thus sacrificing on the quality of my dinner meal. Everyone else ordered a main dish but I just ordered an appetizer thinking it was a safe choice....WRONG! Fried green beans, how can you fail me. The flour batter was not good and came out too oily. Maybe I should've just ordered a side salad. 2 stars b/c at least the service was decent, we had a nice waitress :)

$2.50 rum & cokes, what's not to like. Decent drink prices for a Friday night. Draft yeungling was 3.25. Glasses of wine were $3. This seems decently priced to me.

For me to give a chain restaurant 5 stars, you know I had a good experience. I usually feel that chain restaurants can never live up to they hype, and you'll always find one that is great and the rest are just eh. This particular Friday's has become my great. I went Friday night, and was not planning on drinking, but was recommended the happy hour margarita's by our waiter. He was nice, and gave us time to make our choices, because we were a little slow in the deciding. I had the grilled shrimp from the right portions menu, and it was great, just the right amount of spice. That, with the broccoli that was served with it, was truly the right portion. Our server was great, and very helpful without being overbearing. I would recommend this Friday's to anyone looking for food in the Millenia area!

We were at the Millenia mall over the weekend and had planned a brunch at the Florida Waffle House. Unfortuneately so did about 60 other people, who beat us there and were waiting in line. Since we hungry and wnted to eat right now, we decided to go to Friday's. My wife had a chicken sandwich and i had the flat iron steak. they were both very good, i have been enjoying Friday's more than in the past. the food and menu choices seem better these days.

The services sucked the it took forever for our food and the waiter was horrible the manager wasn't helpful either they forgot to put my daughters food order in so.., yeah we had to wait another 15 mins for hers to come out witch of course made our food cold. This is the worst Fridays I have ever been too save our money and or go to the one on sand lake rd

You can't ever go wrong with TGI Fridays. The servers, even the ones not assigned to our table, were attentive and very polite. Everything ordered tasted absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law ordered the Jack Daniel's chicken and shrimp with broccoli and said it was delicious. My fiance had the ribs (trying to get over the horribleness of Outbacks ribs from the night before) and said that they were perfect. I ordered the Jack Daniel's flat iron steak with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli...yummy! The manager was very attentive and for the food you get, the prices are reasonable. The location is great as well. It's easily visible and accessible.

About TGI Friday

TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.

Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.
