Came here for lunch. Our server was fabulous! Thanks Kayla! Lunch specials are at a good price and the wait time never very long considering how busy they always are during that time of day. I had the wings and fries just the way I like it. Perfect!

Wow! The pizza is fresh and hot; not too soggy or greasy, with a crispy-chewy crust. The garlic knots are huge, stretchy and have a perfect outer crunch. The calamari was so-so; a bit fishy and too chewy, hence only 4 stars. The bruschetta was simply perfect; toasty, crisp, and fresh with a warm, weedy tone to the bay. The happy hour deals can't be beat and the service was friendly, quiet, and not overbearing, but willing to offer good recommendations. The cannoli was robust with undertones of lemon, amaretto, cinnamon, and chocolate without being too sweet. Highly recommended overall!

A good local pizza place. Good for dining in or carry out. Good wine selection. Homey atmosphere. Fast delivery.

LOVE Ragazzi's! Went here earlier today with a group of friends for lunch and was super duper impressed. Service was excellent and the food was all fresh and delicious. Prices were totally reasonable and cheaper than expected even for lunch. Totally worth it. Owner even came by to say hello. All the staff are super friendly and I can't wait to return here. It was beautiful out today (Ah Florida) so we sat outside. I could have sat outside and talked to friends for hours. Perfectly relaxing lunch.

Just moved to CP. Been to their bar next door (same owners) a dozen times already so wanted to try their pizza. Delish! We will never order pizza any where else again. I am so glad we have great food at both places. Go to The Local and try the sub's and wings. You won't be disappointed!

I came here for lunch with two coworkers around noon on a weekday. A busy time, I understand. We were seated quickly, however, waited 20 minutes and nobody had come to even greet us or take our drink order. After one of us went to the hostess station to tell them we had not been taken care of yet, somebody (not our waitress) came by to ask what we wanted to drink. After placing our drink orders we waited another 10 minutes for them to be delivered to our table and for our waitress to finally grace us with her presence. While we were waiting for our waitress, we noticed a couple tables had come in, placed drink and meal orders, and had started to get their food. Keep in mind we had not even received our drinks yet... When our waitress got to our table I explained that we were in a bit of a hurry, to which she instantly replied, "everybody here is". Not exactly the answer I was looking for, but okay. We placed our orders but only ordered salads and a sandwich due to our time crunch. The salads were very plain and the dressing was not the best..My coworker ordered a sandwich and fries and her fries were cold when they came out. When we received our food we had to ask for the check and pay because the whole experience had taken so long. Unfortunately, I can't report much more on the food because we had to eat it so quickly. I would like to come back here, especially looking at all of the positive reviews. There seemed to be a lot on the menu I would like to try if I had more time. I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon, the service (or lack thereof) was a big turnoff.

Pulled in here on a way to a meeting. The weekly evening specials made me wish it was dinner. We ordered a variety of food from pizza slices to the anti-pasta salad. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich..... Hold the blue' cheese dressing..... The roll was amazing, fresh and tasty, the chicken sliced and lightly breaded.....one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. The fries were the typical restaurant brand, I wish folks would take time to make fresh fries.... It's not that hard or costly.

So me and my fiance were craving real pizza today (other than pizza hut) and after reading a few reviews decided to try this place out for the first time. When going inside, the place was more spacious then expected but was flooded with people and was way too loud for me n him. So we decided to sit outside where there were less people and much quieter. Very quickly our server greeted us to take our drink orders. Great start so far! It took him about 3-4 minutes to make it back with our drinks and take our appetizer order. I ordered us 6 garlic knots with marinara which were huge and delicious :) Then things change. We ordered a small pizza and had to have waited about 30 minutes before finally hearing about what the hold up was. The server said there was a big party so a few more minutes. This turned into 20 more minutes when our patience turned into aggravation. Finally I sent my fiance in to find the server and have him bring us a box to go. We appreciated the 20% discount he gave us for the wait but damn were they understaffed to have us waiting close to an hour for a small pizza. As for the pizza itself, it was pretty good. Just not fully what I was looking for. Worth a try!

Can't think of a better place for pizza in the area! Service is good to.... Dine in or carry out!

We've never eaten here. Apparently, this restaurant used to be known as Alfonso's, but they changed the name to Ragazzi's everywhere except on Yelp. So when the Alfonso's opened up down the street, their restaurant came up for review and I gave it 3 stars because the atmosphere was too loud. According to the Sentinel, old Alfonso's (now Ragazzi's) sued new Alfonso's (now nothing) and got an injunction against the new one so that they no longer can use that name. So, the one I reviewed is now the restaurant with no name. There are at least 5 pizza restaurants on Edgewater Drive in College Park. Some are louder than others. Some are new and some are old. Apparently, some are old-new while others are new-old. Pizza is pizza. It's hard to screw it up, and it isn't that expensive. Pick one and move on to one down the street if that one sucks.

Friendly staff for the most part. Salads and subs okay, but salads way to pricey for what you get. Pizza good. Service horrible. Always exceeding wait times for dine-in and delivery.

  • Nisha J.

The food was good, the pricing was great but the staff was just ok. The manger or the guy in the black shirt wasn't friendly at all. (Not sure if he was a manager or not). The waitresses didn't seen too interested in us. They gave us the bill when we weren't even done eating. I'm big on service so not sure if I would go back.

This is our neighborhood spot and it's generally great. We have only had one hiccup but we still love it. We always create our pizza with extra sauce (better than Papa johns...for real), extra fresh mozz, and light basil. They're friendly, there's always just one Parking spot available, and they're open late. Great go-to for College Park residents.

Have just done takeaway a few times from here and food is always good . Greek salad is perfect, crispy and chilled, house dressing is superb. Pizza is the best I have had in while. Very reasonably priced for quality.

I took my two favorite Valentines (little nieces) here tonight for an early dinner. Our server was a lovely girl named Kyra. I hadn't been here before but I was in the mood for Italian and it was nearby so off we went. We ordered a small cheese pizza and meatball calzone for the girls. I thought the calzone at $9 was pricey (though very large) but everything else was very reasonably priced. The girls enjoyed their meal. They have been here several times and really like it. I had the spaghetti and marinara sauce. It was probably the best sauce I have ever had. Delicious. Huge portion! I also ordered a side of meatballs. Delicious! They were so good I took another order home for my leftovers. My dinner came with two yummy pieces of garlic bread. They looked so good my nieces tried to take them both! The check for the entire dinner to include three drinks was $40 plus tip. Service was great! I can't wait to bring my dad back as he loves spaghetti and he is going to love Ragazzi's!

Extreme Makeover - Pizza Edition. Ragazzi's is a big step ahead in looks from Alfonso's, and retains Alfonso's accommodating service. I was told that the owners of Alfonso's for the past two or three years, probably named Ragazzi, still run this place. Both the bar and the main dining area are unrecognizable from the old days, and the outdoor seating is a plus. They still feature some good specials for lunch, with my favorite being the two-slice cheese pizza and a cup of pasta fagioli, or the soup of the day, which today was tomato basil.

From ragazzispizza.com : "Thank you for visiting our website. Ragazzi's Pizza & Restaurant (formerly Alfonso's Pizza & More) is now remodeled and relocated next door to the old store. It has been in the making for a while, but it is finally here and we are really excited about it. The space that used to be occupied by the old Alfonso's is now called 'the Local bar & grill.' It is a neighborhood bar, with great drink specials, great bar food, pool tables, FREE ping pong, juke box and more. Walgreens kindly lets all of our customers use their parking lot." I used to go to Alfonso's pretty regularly (1-2x/month?) but, until this past Friday, hadn't tried Ragazzi's. As the above paragraph indicates, Ragazzi's essentially is the "new" Alonso's. I still enjoy this place and prefer ordering from here as opposed to chains (Papa John's, etc.). Plus, Ragazzi's is very close to where I live, so I can go and pick it up instead of paying for delivery. On Friday, I picked up a small (4 slices) Sicilian pizza and 6 garlic knots/rolls. The total was pretty reasonable ... $12-something, I think. It was a bargain considering that this is some pretty great Sicilian pizza. The sauce was dark and robust, and the thickness of the slices was just right. The garlic knots/rolls were pretty good, though I think that they maybe used to be better (when this place still was Alfonso's). No big deal ... I was here primarily for the pizza, and that's the bulk of my 4-star review. The service here always is very good and friendly, and I recognize several of the people working here from when I began coming here after moving to College Park in 2009. I've always been pleased with everything here and will continue to come back, though probably not as regularly as I once did. The inside of Ragazzi's does look pretty nice, though, so it could make for a good sit-down/date place. I'm also curious about the bar next door, so I'll give that a shot pretty soon & will submit a review ASAP.

Beautiful bar area! Bar is intimate and the woodwork is nicely done. A younger crowd. Very friendly and good service. Good beer on tap.

Pizza cooked just as we like it. Thin crispy crust, just enough cheese, generous on the toppings. Hometown Victory beer on tap as well as many others. Our new local home for pizza. Looking forward to exploring other menu items, especially wings.

Their pizza is the BEST pizza I have had in years. Glad we found this place!!! (They deliver too and the pizza was HOT - a nice surprise.) We have been to their restaurant too and that was good. Casual place, looked like it had local customers - clean and nice servers. We have also been to their sports bar next door watching our favorite football teams. All good experiences - but their pizza is fantastic!

We live in CP and always eat at, deliver or order-in from Ragazzi's. We love their specialty pies, especially the Bianca and 5 Meat. Definitely the best pizza in the area. We have dined-in and enjoyed the (recently renovated dining room) salads and strombolis. It is not the most inviting spot from the street, but dont be scared. Their pizza will calm your belly into satisfaction.

We stopped in for a small pizza and a salad. We ordered a large house salad and was surprised when it was a small smattering of lettuce, 2 tomato wedges, 2 slices of cucumber and a few slices of green pepper. Not what I expected for $7. The waitress was kind enough to bring us an additional small salad. Interestingly, if they would have brought 2 small salads, it would have been a lot more than the "large" salad. The dressing are prepackaged Ken's dressings. The pizza was okay. My better half asked if it reminded me of Chuck E Cheese's pizza. I am not sure if that is a good thing. Overall, nothing seemed fresh. Everything seemed like it was prepackaged or previously frozen. On the plus side, the beer selection is very good and relatively cheap. They have a full liquor bar which is priced right. Where else can you get a Tanq and tonic for $5?

Had lunch here with a coworker. I got 2 slices of cheese pizza with a soda and he got the sausage sub with fries. I got out of here after tax and tip for about $6.50. It was clean, the service was good, though the food came out a little slow (I am guessing this was due to the sub, not the pizza). There weren't a ton of people in here but it somehow managed to be pretty loud. It was also very cold in the restaurant, almost uncomfortably so after sitting in that temperature for half an hour before getting any warm food. The pizza was good and served at the perfect temperature-- it was cool enough to eat as soon as I got it but warm enough to still taste good and have the right consistency to the ingredients. The cheese and dough were both good. The crust was a little crispy for my tastes (I prefer a softer crust) but still was overall a pleasant meal. I did run out of drink a couple of times, and that's always a bit irritating, but I did not have to go an extended period of time with just ice, so it wasn't bad enough for me to dock a star or money off the tip. All in all, good place for a cheap pizza lunch. I'll go back, probably after work someday so I can get some beer, which they have a good selection of on tap.

I never slam a place but I have given this place numerous (+4) chances and I believe it is progressively getting worse. His pizza sauce is so acidic I have to believe it would be similar to battery acid. I also have tried wings a couple of times but they are pretty bad too. The wings are so overcooked that you literally cannot eat them since they resemble wood. Finally, the dine in staff isnt too bad but the take out staff would beneift from additional training in customer service.

I order pizza from here pretty regularly, and along with Antonio's in Maitland, they have my favorite pizza in the city. I like their margarita pizza but usually build my own (prosciutto, artichoke hearts, and roasted red pepper is my favorite). They have a good Greek salad, yummy garlic knots, and really good wings. I've only eaten in the restaurant once, and it was your typical mom and pop pizza place. Nothing fancy but our server was friendly and outgoing.

I've ordered delivery from Ragazzi's a handful of times now and have yet to be disappointed by anything. Service is friendly both over the phone and at the door, they never exceed the estimated delivery time, and the food is fabulous! I've tried the wings, caesar salad, calzone, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant rollatini, pesto pasta and carbonara. Ingredients are quality and the prices are extremely fair for the large portions.

I quickly glanced at some of the reviews and I couldn't agree more with Aleks G. My wife and I have been to Ragazzis many many times now and they have never disappointed us in the least. Everything is always cooked perfectly, delicious, and for the most part service is usually excellent. Sometimes you have a bad employee here or there but I feel that the food quality and quantity are perfect. Pizza's are always amazing, good but cheap drinks. It is the perfect family restaurant right here in College Park and we hope they stick around for years to come and to the apparent ex-employee that wrote a bad review you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself. If you really think what you wrote is true then you definitely should not be working anywhere in the food service industry! Great job guys, keep it up!!

Good service but the food wasn't the greatest... I had the Italian sub made with their homemade bread and it tasted stale. Not impressed. Will not return.

So this opened up next to Alfonso's and I think it's the restaurant that used to be Alfonso's and now the side that was Alfonso's is now a sports bar. Or something like that... Anyway this new space is pretty decent. The pizza is very good - just like when it was only Alfonso's. This is that no-nonsense kind of American Italian restaurant you find in a shopping strip. The beer selection stood out. They had a nice selection of bottled beers. Also the side salad was fresh greens and romaine - when I was expecting iceberg. Nice place to have on Edgewater.

So disappointed the pizza had canned tomatoes instead of fresh when requested. Dough tasted like cardboard

I use to go to alfonsos and really loved the pizza. I figured the new and improved version would be the same and I was really happy to find out that very little has changed. First off, the ambience and decor is 1,563,555x better! Alfonsos always seemed a little dirty. The nice tile floors and dark wood booths gave off a really clean and put together feeling. Even the bathrooms were clean and upscale. The outside area was really nice too so I'll have to eat out there next time I go (probably soon). Now on to the food...everyone at the table had house salads and I have to admit I wasn't impressed. A salad is a salad but it would have been way better if it wasn't served to me with one of those plastic, throwaway single serve dressing containers. As far as salads go, it was basic. Just lettuce, tomato, onion and bell pepper. It could've used some croutons or something Nothing over the top. But THEN our waitress brought our main meal. Delicious!! I had the chicken philly. Best I've ever had in orlando and that means a lot because chicken philly is my favorite hot sandwich! It could have used a little more chicken but it still tasted amazing. The rest of my table had pizza with bell pepper, onion, mushrooms and sausage. I only had a bite but the pizza was right up there with the chicken philly! I'm pretty sure there were 2 different cuts of sausage on the pizza which made it unique. The draft beer selection was pretty large so that too was pretty impressive. All in all I have to say ragazzis is a huge upgrade to what use to be alfonsos. Only negitive I can think of is the boring salad. Oh and I'm pretty sure you can bring a dog if you eat outside...

No more Ragazzi's in College Park for me! There was a group of youth sitting at a booth cussing up a storm. There were families on each side with kids junior high and younger overhearing f*bombs & such. I requested that management ask them to "tone it down" since there were kids sitting next to them. The manager came to my table stating that since the "offending table" had their check & could be leaving soon, he didn't want to "upset them" for future visits. So much for the families, who by the way, left before the "offending table" & how upset they might have been. I guess Ragazzi's isn't really interested in being a family establishment.

This was a wonderful casual dining spot, perfect for lunch. The eggplant parmesan sub was delicious, as is the house dressing. We had a large party of 12, so the wait was exceptionally long, but I expected that with the number of people that were in our party. The wait, however, was worth it!

Ragazzi's was a very nice find in the popular College Park district of Orlando. Complete with a wide variety of beer and great selection of speciality pizza pies, this has become my favorite local pizza joint...and the cleanest I've been to so far. The New York style pizza has a wonderful crispness to its crust with no soggy bottom. They also have killer wings that come in several excellent sauces. While I have not tried their pies yet, I will definitely be back to do so.

This place is DELUXE. The first time I ordered from Ragazzi's, I had the club sub and their tomato basil soup. I suspect the bread is made in-house, and it's perfect for a sub. The meats and cheese were thickly sliced and of very high quality. The veggies were fresh - juicy tomatoes and crisp lettuce. I can't say the soup was AS good as the sub, but the sub was really exceptional. I'd order both again, no dobut. Portions are awesome, especially for the price. Highly recommended. I've since had the hot Sicilian sub, their chicken and rice soup, and the greek salad. Again, the soup didn't stand out compared to the other foods, but it was good. The sub was perfect with two kinds of melted cheese and high-quality meats that they typically use. Definitely hits the spot. My only constructive criticisms here are about consistency and order accuracy. The food is always good, but it's not always consistent between one day and another. Make sure you check your order if you get takeout or delivery - they've missed a few little things here and there.

Chicken pesto pasta, meatballs, and garlic knots were awesome, the chicken Marsala was horrible. Absolutely no flavor. :( service was fast and food was ready and hot when I picked it up.

A great little spot in College Park. I have had there cheese pizza, italian sub, meatballs, Cesar salad and garlic knots all were delicous. I love places that do pizza by the slice even for dinner and only $2.19. The service has always been great here and they do have a small patio up in front when the weather is nice. They also have an awesome beer menu. Check there website it changes all the time. The prices are so cheap for craft beer. They even do pitchers of most of them. I love a place that you can get pitchers of not just the Buds, Millers ect.. Liquor selection is great too. I really enjoy Stoli it is only $4 here and I think during happy hour it is $3. I have never been for lunch but lunch specials seem reasonable and they also have take out specials. After eating and having a drink at night head next door to The Local bar. If you are lucky enough to be there in karaoke night you are in for a treat.

I like the pizza, only ordered it by the slice so far though. The garlic knots are really not garlicy at all, but I care about the pizza, and the pizza and service were good.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
