I stumbled on this place just before walking to a concert at nearby Hard Rock Live. I sat at the bar and ordered the grilled salmon. I got served immediately and the food was delicious. The salmon was moist and delicious w/o being overly heavy, salty or seasoned. The same with the veggies that came with it. They also have a nice selection of beer (probably a good thing for an "ale house") and the service was fast and friendly. It was Tuesday night, so it wasn't too insanely crowded. I also like the way the different servers kept calling me by name, "Tom, do you want another beer", "does everything taste okay, Tom", etc.

At the suggestion of an Orlando-native friend, I've eaten here twice. It's definitely the local "hot spot" - the place is huge, and it's packed every night of the week. As the name implies, this sports bar has a wide variety of beers available. They claim to be known for their "Zingers" - breaded boneless chicken wings with a variety of sauces. These are pretty good, but the concept isn't that unique any more. Great place to catch up with a group of people or to watch the game. I was there yesterday (early October) and they had already sold about 25% of the bar stools for their Super Bowl party!

one of my fave late night hot spots! especially tuesday nights when they have the 12 dollar prime rib! i love drinking magic hat on tap here. very friendly attentive staff.

Service: 5. Several different wait people came by to check on us throughout the meal, in addition to our friendly and attentive waitress. Food: 2. Grouper sandwich and chicken fajitas were very bland. (And we ordered both "blackened"!) The pico de gallo that accompanied the fajitas was especially bad - mealy under ripe tomatoes and white onions. No cilantro. No lime. No heat at all. Ugh.

Went there the other night and I have had better at another Orlando Ale house. We brought the kids and went on kids night/prime rib night. I have had much much better prime rib at Outback and the service was ok. I'm sure we will go back, it may have been just an off night.

Ate here during a recent Disney Trip. Food was so good we actually ate there twice during the week. Heading back this weekend and looking forward to visiting again. Menu has a great variety that would please everyone.

Got the Zinger mountain melt and the blacken chicken salad both were very good and they delivered it to our room at the Double Tree. Thank you for making our night a little easier.

Even tho the house was empty.they refused to play the only game we asked to see, we didn't need audio.just simply to play the Gator game on one screen. I've been in the industry for 8 years and never have I denied a customer like that. One game, on one screen, but according to them a single Floyd fight was more beneficial to them then a good family wooing to pay. That too me, is lack of care, customer service, and sheer personal integrity. This is an.Ale House I will never recommend nor advice anyone to go there

They charge $0.25 for a splash of cranberry juice in a drink, really?!? That's insane, you guys need to do something about this!

We have been to Ale House numerous times but I won't be coming to this one again. We wanted to go here for a work reunion, since we use to go after work at universal. The first thing we encountered was a rude, unsympathetic hostess. We told her we had about 15 thinking we would just go sit at 2 high top tables. She stated all our party needed to be there before she could seat us. We looked around, the place was empty! So after some arguing we just asked for a high top for the 4 of us. After she seated us she promised that she would not seat people right around us but use the other high tops first. Well she lied! They sat everyone right around us expect for one table. Luckily some more of our group came and we just kinda took the table. She ran over and was yelling about the table when my husband casually reminded her about our group. Her reply, "oh I forgot". The food was typical ale house food, we actually enjoy it. It came out right away and it was correct and hot. The only other issue was that the waitress tried to force extra shots on us. We had all ordered a few and she brought more and blamed my husband on ordering them. He had done no such thing. She then tried to charge us for it. I had her remove but I was still disappointed. I won't be going back to this one at all!

I visited during SpookyEmpire/Mayhem weekend. You'd have thought that it was going ot be packed, but it wasn't. There were seats open, there were tables free, and yet the service was slower than hell. I think our waiter, Anthony, was new. Either that or he was extremely intimidated by people wearing skull face paint. He seemed to lose his voice when he saw my 2 table mates who were in skull makeup. He literally got cotton mouthed and could not speak. Twice he got our drink orders wrong, When the food came out, my fries were cold, my vegs were cold. but the steak was hot. This tells me that it had been sitting there a while. Other people at the table also experienced the same thing. Their sides were cold, and the lone appetizer came out at the same time as the food... which took a good half hour to come out. When it came time for our bill to come to the table, he messed that up 2x as well. The 2nd time we told him We'd figure it out as we had places to be. There's really no excuse for this kind of service in a tourist area. They should really be going after the tip with great service.. but nope not here. This place needs to close. it's pretty sad.

I love their foods, the zinger mountain melt and loaded fried are our favorite. Awesome foods and drinks! love to come here again!

The only reason 4 stars because receptionists who make hourly wage was horrible to us. We sat by accident at a table that was open and he screamed "NOOOOOOOO" repeatedly many times. I wanted to leave because my son was already upset is a toddler and it was late. We decided to stay because of Jack who made everything better, hope he gets a raise!!!

This place deserves 0 stars! I usually love eating here but this will be my last time at this location. Our waitress CATTIE, displayed the poorest customer service ever! She was rude from the very beginning. She welcomed us by throwing coasters at us, took forever for the food/drinks to come out, oh and by the way another waiter brought our food. Worst experience by far from any Ale House. She spent majority of her time with the customers behind us. She walked pass our table several times without addressing us. No napkins, no silverware, no refills. For a tourist location I anticipated better customer service. Step it up before Golden Corral & Burger King next door steal your customers.

Forgive me for the similarities between this review and the last one for the I-Drive Ale House but both locations are fairly the same, leading my thoughts about both to be comparable. This location is pretty big and compares to most other Ale House locations. There is an outdoor seating area facing the back parking lot. Not much of a view, but if you just like eating outside then go for it. The food at this location has always been consistently good and the waiters at this location are normally really great and personable. The portions are large and the prices are cheap. When I'm really hungry and want something reliable, the Ale House is my go to because I always leave satisfied. I've tried several items on the menu, and my faves are the Cobb Salad, Zinger Mountain Melt and the 35 shrimp dinner. During my last visit, I did notice a price increase on several of my normal food choices; however everything has still remained more than reasonably priced. They have several drink specials that run throughout the week and pretty much offer everything you're looking for.

Great deals and always a good go to place. My only hang up is that they are always very busy and then sometimes even more. I will alway go but just not as much, but business is good so they will be around.

The experience is so bad that I'm at the restaurant typing this review. The waitress Katie was very rude with us. She didn't bring over any of our foods or drinks she had other waitresses bring it then she didn't stop by once at our table to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything then we had to stop her as she was walking by to ask for the check and when she brought it she just put it on our table as she was walking by didn't even stop at our table. This experience was horrible and because of her we will definitely not be bringing our business back again and will be telling the people we know not to come to this location. The waitress was atrocious and from her behavior tonight she should be fired, you shouldn't be working with people if you don't know how to be professional

Chill soup - greasy soup. Oriental chicken - also okay 35 shrimp scampi - no taste Alcohol - after 3 single ones and one double , big nothing lol 5'10 and 154lb tell me about it. I might post picture one single with no added soda and ice and you will know it what I'm talking about it.

This is my fav of all the Miller's Ale House's. The food is consistently yummy. The employees are friendly and smiling, even at the hectic dinner hour (and this one is right across from Universal so it does get hectic!). The bartenders know their stuff and make great recommendations. Full menu available from the bar as well, so if the wait is long for a table, you might consider bar seating... Other MAHR's could take a lesson from this one on consistency and efficiency for sure.

I'm not completely in tune with the whole sports bar thing, probably because I'm not a sport fan. But Miller's Ale House is certainly the most successful chain of them in Orlando. This location, on Kirkman, is packed every day, and the food is good (just don't check the calorie counts on their website). Burgers and salads are good bets here, and I also like the chicken fajitas, one of the healthier choices (they are lower in calories than many of the salads). Service is decent, but it's pretty much impossible to have lunch here in less than an hour, so don't go if you're tight on time.

I frequent multiple Ale House's in the Orlando area and have no problem at all with the staff (love them), the facilities (clean and neat), cuisine ( game could be upped there a bit), but Ale House, you can set your watch by what 70's, 80's song will play next. Even the staff become depressed with tunes that don't relate to them. At all.. Change it up. Please!

We visited Miller's Ale House twice within the past week from out of town. We chose it because it was within walking distance of our hotel and it seemed to have the nightlife/bar atmosphere we were looking for. I am rating it with a 3 because of the agonizingly slow service. Just as AAAGGGOOONNNIIIZZZIIINNNGGG as me typing "agonizing" this way. You get the point. Granted, they were very busy but it was at times way too long to be acceptable. The food was good! The grilled chicken was tender and juicy and the steamed clams were good as well. The drinks were mixed well and staff was friendly. I'm sure we would be willing to give it another shot if ever in the area again but I would be apt to speak up about the wait if we have a repeat experience.

One thing I always liked about the ALE houses are the consistency. The food is always hot and taste pretty good. The service is almost always attentive and quick. I don't ever recall having a bad experience at any Ale House properties. This one is no different.

  • Courtney K.

Can only comment on the drinks, since we werent able to order food, as the kitchen was out of literally EVERYTHING. Granted we went an hour before close, but they could keep the kitchen better stocked! However, the kind waitstaff made up for it, they were very apologetic about the lack of food and served us quickly. Also Magic Hat #9 on tap is a rare find :) Cheap prices too!

I usually love the Ale House, but this last trip was one of the worst displays of customer service I have seen. They brought the wrong food out twice in a row. Then took forever to bring out the right plate. Then another server came to ask if we needed anything... But before we could respond that we needed some ranch, she turned around and walked away. To top it off, a manager came over and tried to smooth everything over. He was nice... But then he asked if we needed anything. We said a refill of water. Then he left and never came back with the water. Not sure what was going on over there, but get it together Ale house near universal. I won't be going back there anytime soon.

We are staying by universal and this was recommended by the hotel desk staff. We got chicken nachos which were lacking in cheese. Like a big pile of chips, chicken and jalapeno with not much else. The fried calamari was obviously a boxed product. The clam chowder was recommended by the waitress and it was good but not great. The best thing they served us was loaded fries and cheap drink specials.

  • Jesse A.

Slow and poor service. Bartenders are real bad at mixing drinks. The food was ok, I ate the Jambalaya. They ran out of the IPA's and their beer selection was bad. My advice- Do not go...

  • Emely M.

The food was still good even though it was served cold. The waitress never brought my husbands beer and never asked if we wanted drink refills and took my husbands plate before he was finished eating. This was our 2nd time eating there the 1st time everything was fine but the server misplaced my credit card and then found it. They need to hire more experienced servers other than that the food was good both times but this place has the potential of being awesome.

    (3)

This place needs a manager. Service is horrible. Literally sitting here over an hour waiting on our food... Waitress could care less.

  • Robert D.

I'm usually fine with the zingers here, but our last lunch visit was nothing but lame. Short-staffed (probably), the place was busy and our server just couldn't handle whatever was up with his life/job. Food came out goopy and luke warm and wrong orders. Just not good. I have no idea why this place is always packed. I'd even choose Wing House over this and the marginal Hooters across the way before I went here again and that's saying something, because you can actually get real food over at Bubbalou's or Teak or Crafted or a hundred other places within a few miles of here.

My husband and I are staying near by for the start of our honeymoon and saw this place.. So stopped by and sat at the outside bar two days in a row.. I have got to say, this place is amazing! The food was amazing and way better than expected, the beer and food were very well priced the bartenders (Marlena, Jaime, Ashley) were fantastic! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun laid back place to hang out at.

I have been coming here for years. The food is a great value. The bartenders especially Dan and Jen are great and will take care of your every need. I don't live in Orlando any more but I spend 4 to 5 weeks here every year and they treat me like I never left. It is like coming home. Thank you.

By far the best ale house I have ever been to ! The staff is amazing. A lot more organized then the one on international drive. It's very clean and organized and the staff always have a smile of their face.

Talk about poor service! Worst ale house I've ever been too! This is coming from a former ale house employee ... Worst ale I've ever been too! Service lacked ... Food took forever to come out ... The manger seemed to care but only enough to comp an appetizer .... Will never go back to this ale house... PS: the bartenders are not good looking

Went here on a Friday night around 5:30 when just getting into Orlando. The patio was crowded but the inside was not so the service should have been a little better if you ask me. Robert was our server and he was training someone although maybe he should have been the one being trained. Anyways, after being served our first drink, they both disappeared. I waited for a while to get a refill and then had to ask for it. My partner ordered the tuna melt with sweet pot fries, they came out with reg fries, I asked for my wings to be crispy and they weren't so I couldn't even eat all of them but the flavor was good so I am sure they would have been fabulous if they had been crispy. After getting the bill, I felt raped. The special beer was Hoegarden and it was 1.00 off, which they didn't take off the bill, glad I looked, only to find out that the beer was 6.95 before the 1.00 off, this is for a reg pint. Needless to say, we walked away with a bad taste in our mouth and it wasn't from the food or was it???

I'm staying at the Hyatt hotel which is literally next to a TGIF. however I don't care for that place. Being on a business trip and just wanting to get dinner and sit at bar for what is commonly faster than a table I was recommended to go to miller Ale house. I have been to other locations many years ago and was hesitant to go now. Well since it was so close I went. I sat at bar which was at most 50% occupied with two bartenders. It took 8 minutes before a bartender came over just for a menu. The customer next to me kept trying to get their attention to pay. They seemed to be too busy hollering across bar to their local regular clients. I ended up getting up and leaving and thankfully for yelp I found Outback Steakhouse right down the street where they opened the door and the bartenders were nice quick and professional. Don't bother going to Miller Ale house unless you a regular local. Way too many other options in a tourist area.

I previously rated this location on four stars and tonight id have to give it a two tonight. I have never been to the restroom at this location until tonight. Its in an inconvenient location for the ladies for not only the guests but as well as the servers and staff due to the fact you basically walk right through the server station to get to the restroom. I was with two other people tonight. My friend ordered the calamari which was awesome. For her entree she ordered blackened shrimp with broccoli which were cooked perfectly she said. My boyfriend ordered pot stickers which i did not try but he says were very good and his entree he ordered the philly cheese steak which he said was good. I ordered the seven oz steak rare with broccoli and a baked potato. My broccoli was raw and completely uncooked and my steak was cooked to a medium rare and charred on the top. The baked potato was over cooked but since i already was sending back my steak and broccoli i decided to tough it out and eat the potato while waiting on the recook of my food. The second time it came back half the broccoli was cooked, the other half was raw. The steak was rare however the top was charred again. I ate half the steak and the broccoli that was cooked because i didnt want to bother with sending it back again and waiting. We all three ordered alcoholic beverages and we were never carded (and we all look very young). When my food came back recooked a manager never came to my table to see if everything was satisfactory, or for any reason at all. Im very disappointed in my experience tonight due to my expectations from my previous visit. Our servers name was karla though i cant blame her for how the kitchen decides to send out their food to their guests. I do hope my next experience is better as i frequent this location due to how close it is to my apartment.

Even though this restaurant was closest to the hotel where I was staying, I had bad feelings about eating here. It was late and I was not able to get into the first two restaurants that I had tried. The restaurant was busy but not too busy. There was a popular game on and a lot of people were cheering and drinking beer. I ordered the salmon with new potatoes and a draft beer. The beer came and it was not very cold I waited quite a while for the food and then when it did arrive the food wasn't hot. The presentation of the food was in a word nonexistent. It was a large plastic plate with the food literally scattered across. And did I mentioned after waiting quite a while for the food, it was cold? I should have trusted my instincts, for the beer and the food the check was $24. I noticed that the price of the beer was the same that I paid at Universal Studios that same afternoon you would think that the price of the beer at the restaurant would not be as high as the price of the theme park.

    (2)
  • Ta H.

Don't eat here if you are going to a theme park the next day. My daughter had the Shrimp Alfredo and instead of enjoying our day at Universal Studios we have been waiting outside a bathroom for two hours while my daughter throws up. Boo!!!

The wings were very tasty. Big and juicy. However, the gyro lunch special on Tuesday was not so tasty. Don't be lured by the cheap lunch special pricing. Go with something else on their menu.

This place was pretty good like any other places. The only thing was the service was ok it was a little slow. We had to wait a little bit longer for our food for two people. The people was on friendly and its kid oriented, the food is decent what you paid for so it wasn't to bad.

    (4)
  • Sean R.

Quite possibly the slowest service I have ever received in a restaurant. Our large party was split into 2 tables, and one table finished and paid before the other table even got food. Most of out food was cold. When the manager brought the food out, she explained that it was late because they wanted it all to come out together. But 2 people's meals were missing. Once their food came out, out frustration was expressed, and the manager had the nerve to give us attitude about it. We asked to speak to another manager who gave us the same attitude back. All in all, a horrible experience, in a normally mediocre restaurant chain. But let it be known, the server was very nice and tried to be accommodating when she could. No beef there.

Love going on a lunch/dinner date at all the ale house locations I've been to! Its very chill and homey. The food is great and the drinks are always on point from what I've tried. They have $10 sangria pitchers which me and my fiancee always split. Delicioussss! I prefer the white one over the red just because merlot isn't our personal favorite. Other than that its sweet and fruity just how I like my sangria. He thought his dish (steak, broccoli, and fries) was great but I'm a wings girl almost every time I go out. They were out of this world and now a part of my "addictions" list. You gotta ask them to mix the mount St Helen's sauce with the Sweet Thai Chilli to get that sweet yet flammin' taste. Freaking carnival in your mouth with or without the ranch!! Mmmm can't wait for our next visit..

Ate at the outside bar. Zingers were very good though they came out after my burger was at the table. Bar tenders were very good.

Been in Orlando with my husband for a month now for business trip. Decided to come here for dinner and drinks with my husband and his coworkers. Its right next to our hotel, perfect location. Sat outside at the bar. My husband and his friends had some drinks. Ordered some food. GREAT TIME! I ordered the half slab or ribs. Outstanding! Onion rings were great! Only recommendations for kitchen manager is to make sure you change the oil for the deep fryer every single week. I've been in restaurant business over 15 years so I can tell. My husband had chicken, veggies and red potatoes. That was great. Our bartender Ashley was great. Very attentive, sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable on menu and drinks. Had a great time. Highly recommended! Thanks guys!!!

We retreated here after dinner at Kobe. Looks like a fun menu and the drink specials are great to the wallet.. All we had were drinks so four-to-five for friendly heavy pours:)

We love the place! You can eat whatever you want: fast food, pasta, fish, etc, drink and you'll pay so much less than other places. For us it is a safe option! More if you wanna watch a sport game ;)

Another visit, another let down. Unfortunately my friends enjoy coming here for the cheap drinks and cheap food or I would be done with this location forever. My last experience is very similar to a visit I had a couple months ago, and ironically I had the same waitress. We arrived wanting drinks and apps on a rather slow Sunday night (6/9/2014). We all placed our orders, and remembering my experience last time I opted to not get anything fancy and just order a Yuengling beer. Everyone received their drinks and she told me she would be right back and looked confused. When she returned 5 minutes later I felt like I was in the twilight zone as she goes "Ohhh... I know where your drink is... we are out!" I almost died and then laughed and decided this is a sign and I should not get anything. How is it possible that every time I have this waitress that they don't have what I want? I look forward to another disappointing visit soon.

This place needs bar rescue big time.. The guy Dan behind the bar is a douche bag one at a time drink making suck service douche bag. The food is the worst gross nasty rotted germ infested ever.. The bathroom is an example of what the kitchen looks like... Stay away...

In my time as a Yelper, I have given as many positive reviews as I can, but I feel like this review is finally necessary. Ale House is one of my husband's favorite places to eat, but unfortunately I have had several bad experiences with this location. I personally have been to the Ale House on Kirkman and Vineland several times for work lunches. I don't think we've had less than a two hour lunch. I will cut them some slack - the party size is usually between 6-12 people, but I have been to plenty of other restaurants in the area that have gotten us in and out in under an hour. My assumption is this is a function of them not having enough staff. In addition to the slow service, this location also strikes out on getting the orders right. We have sent food back to the kitchen because it is the wrong order completely or is over or under cooked. I recall two separate occasions where someone's order took exceptionally long to come out of the kitchen. We do enjoy the food when they get it right, but when your entire party has finished eating and you still haven't received your food, that is a problem. It's probably a good thing that they serve you waters in a gigantic cup because I'm not so sure the staff would be able to refill a normal sized cup fast enough. We will visit other Ale House's in the future, just not this location.

You people complain too much. Went there last night (3/19/14). Seated right away (outside as we requested). It was crowded, but our server was there in a reasonable amount of time. Good beer and drink specials. Wings were good. Ossobuco was recommended and only OK. But for only $12.99, I've got no gripes. We weren't looking for Ruth's Chris quality for those prices. I'd definitely go back there or to another of their locations the next time I'm in town.

  • Patti M.

This particular location was average and seemed to attract an interesting, slightly dirty crowd despite being in the midst of the tourist crappola. The food was just as you come to expect from Ale House. It's not gourmet but makes for decent comfort food whether you want wings, pasta, pizza, steak, soup, etc. The service was slightly disjointed. Our server himself did a decent job, if only perfunctory but the staff who brought our meals had it all ass backwards, bringing salads to the wrong people and attempting to serve our meals to another table. I wasn't terribly impressed and I'd rather go to another location.

  • Morgan M.

This place is great. The servers are friendly, the service is quick, the drink specials are great, and the food is yummy. I love ordering the chicken nachos. It's plenty of food to share and it's very good! They have tequila shots for 2.50 and double Smirnoff drinks for $5. And if you're going to watch a sports game they have more than enough TVs.

I created this account only to rate the horrible experience I had on this restaurant. I never do this because I don't have the time to be rating a restaurant online. Believe me, I'm a really easy person to satisfy and real hard to get upset. I'm a local here in Orlando. I live in Kirkman road, so my favorite hang out place is the Orlando Ale House. I've been going here for YEARS!! You can see my card statement and 70% of all the places I go out to eat, is the Ale House. The hostesses already know me and know that I always pick out a booth. I always come in and get the same. Piña Colada, the famous rib-eye with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli with a few shots. I love to ask for your cajun sauce that you use for your onion rings, and dip my broccoli in it, it's fantastic! I went in on Valentine's day with my boyfriend and let me tell you...,it was a DISASTER!! They completly ruined my valentine's day!! And I very much hate them for it!! My facebook/Instagram is filled with pictures of their food because I go there every week and I even recommended it to some friends which they are now addicted to it and I'm especially making business for them because of my 5,000 friends in Facebook. I'm also a fan of the Zinger Mountain Melt. Let me start off by saying that we waited 30 mins to be seated down and the hostess asked us a few times, do you still want to eat here?? Yes we waited. We got our drinks and shots everything was ok....till we got our food...my rib-eye was sitting on the kitchen pick up table for minutes because when it got to me it was cold. I'm not used to this bad service from them. Even the other day my boyfriend went to the manager to tell them what a great job they did with the rib-eye. It was so delicious and perfectly done, that the manager ask my boyfriend to praise the cooks himself and he did. Then my boyfriend's fajitas weren't sizzling either. I understand it's Valentine's day and they are in a hurry but it isn't my fault. I prefer to wait patiently and get my food nice and hot, no problem with me no hurry. I ask to get another steak, so then they bring me the same steak heated on the grill all burnt up with some mashed potatoes from the old plate attached and burnt to it, while I ask for medium rare it was now well done!! :( then I told them to please bring me a new one and then they bring me my mashed potatoes first, to bring me my broccoli later with my steak so by the time I got the food, my mashed potatoes were cold and the steak was good. Does it make any sense? They should have brought everything together like they were suppose to and like they always do! Don't bring me plate by plate. Then, they bring my boyfriend's hot fajitas but leave the tortillas out in the cold. So his fajitas were hot but the tortillas were cold. It was a disaster. He was really upset because come on guys it was Valentine's!! It could be any other day to ruin our food but not today. Then a server passed by us, with hot sizzling fajitas just how he wanted them which got him really upset. There was a server walking around with my steak to see which table did it belong to for 10 mins!! They when I got it again....guess what?? It was cold!! Terrible service and food!! Then when we get the bill they take out the food fine, because we return all the food and denied eating it but when we asked them about some shots that were on the bill which we specifically told our server to get us some specific shots not the $6.00 ones, the same ones that I ask for each time I go there, the big, huge manager that was there said that it wasn't the server's fault that he didn't give us the shot's we asked for and that we should have asked correctly. This is the first time this ever happens to me. It was easy! I ordered one Piña Colada and 2 shots of tequila. And when I asked again about the shots, the same manager screamed at me "Get out of my restaurant and don't come back here ever again". He shouted that to us infront of the customers and servers. You don't talk like that to a customer, you just don't talk like that to a person! I have never ever in my life been treated so poorly and I was completly humiliated and embarrased. I work for the Orlando International Airport, a federal job and I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and believe me I have met some pretty crazy people and disrespectful people in my life but this manager beat them all. I never leave negative reviews and this is my first time. But I just had to let you know Orlando Ale House, you lost a loyal customer that always prefers to go to your restaurant on any given day. I even went there, than Red Lobster, which is the place my boyfriend wanted to go on such a special night and you ruined it for me.

Average - right down the middle. I hadn't been here for a long time - long enough for them to put in a patio area and increase the number of menu items including their "zingers" (strips of fried chicken tossed in your choice of several sauces - generally buffalo type sauces). We went for a lunch with friends. I had the zinger salad and was treated to exactly what I expected. My companions enjoyed the grilled mahi sandwich, a tossed salad, and a cheeseburger. No one complained but no one raved. The service was pretty good. It's a decent option for drinks and appetizers or a casual, no surprises, meal. I imagine the patio is for smokers which means it's pretty much off limits for non-smokers. Parking can get difficult in the evening.

I have gone to three different Miller's Houses and they have all been equally mediocre. I have visited the Kirkman Ave House (behind Universal Studios, next to Starbucks), the one by the Florida Mall (on Orange Blossom Trail, near Toys 'R Us), and the one on John Young Pkwy (near Hunter's Creek). Three different locations of the same chain, and I've had several different plates as well. There's not a single thing I can recommend. Not one. Well, that's not true. The ambience is nice, but you are better off not ordering anything and just watching the TVs. Maybe what one needs to do is to prep up their palates with alcohol to welcome the drastic lack of flavor in everything, but alas I never did try this method. I just went for the food. Why have I gone so much if it's never done anything for me? Well, one is very close to my workplace, so whenever the guys want to go for a quick lunch, unfortunately this restaurant's name comes up. Then the other times were because of a large-value gift card which I would have preferred far more if it had been for Taco Bell or KFC. So, these are the lackluster plates I somewhat remember: - pork medallions...burnt and absolutely average, especially sad 'cause they say it's their house specialty - fish 'n chips...flavorless fish, might as well be fried bubbles of air - sweet tea...watered down...sad when I can get a better one for a buck at any McDonald's - zingers...they are not necessarily bad, but I wouldn't go here just for that, no matter if this was the only place open in the middle of a storm - pulled zinger sandwich (not pork, it's chicken)...we had to ask for more BBQ and even then it was largely unremarkable - boiled bag of seafood (has a nicer name but I cannot remember)...I'd trade it whole for a can of spinach...at least that would make Popeye happier. - I've also had other stuff that has failed to make any sort of pleasant remembrance... Listen. I don't have any personal vendetta against this chain, it's not like I have had horrible waiting service or argued with a manager or anything. It's simply because the food is not good. I don't have a problem with the ambiance, or the music, or the TVs, or the staff, and I have never tried their bar (very casual drinker I am), but if you are going for the food, don't bother. You can go pretty much anywhere and have a pretty good chance of getting better stuff for your money, If you are around Kirkman's, you can eat healthier and cheaper at Sweet Tomatoes, or go to Applebee's or Friday's, or simply drive on International and go to Bahama Breeze. If you are around the Hunter's Creek one, you can get cooler fare at Tijuana Flats that's right around there, there's also an Applebee's near or just drive down to The Loop mall and eat at Abuelo's or Chipotle. If you are by the Florida Mall, you can go to Bucca di Beppo inside the mall or the Chili's facing Sandlake Road. If not, I wish you better luck.

Ordered the baby back ribs with coleslaw and a baked potato. The ribs were just 'okay' whereas the coleslaw was ordinary and seemed like it came Directly out of a tub and on to the plate and the potato was rotten/spoiled. The server earned this place the second star.

Service was poor. Music was too loud. Food was barely average. What else is there to say? I wouldn't go back? On the plus side, it was a great night to eat on the deck had the food been better, the music softer or the service been better.

Went there with family after a long day at universal. Fortunately got a table outside quickly and had a very friendly server. They allow smoking on back patio and as a non-smoker was happy to see very few smoking. Plenty of TVs outside to watch NBA finals I've eaten at ale house restaurants before so knew what to expect but first time with family. Kids liked the food. Oldest got fried shrimp platter. I tried two to make sure they tasted ok and while nothing to rave about they certainly wouldn't make her sick (referring to shrimp that sometimes tastes like iodine. These didn't). Youngest got meatballs and spaghetti and as our pickiest eater often sets the bar for places we can eat it at. She really liked then. I even ate a meatball and they were decent for a sports bar. Wife ordered nachos with beef and they were good. Thought guacamole was very good. Lastly was me. I tried to be healthy and ordered a Bahamian mahi. I liked the idea of veggies and fish steamed in foil but the fish was really dry. I've had fish here before but often with some sort of sauce on it. I won't order this dish again. Fish flavor was good - just way to dry for me. They have a great beer selection from basic to craft so if you like beer as I do, you won't be disappointed. This isn't a gourmet dining experience. Just a nice sports bar environment.

Probably one of my favorite chain restaurants when I'm in Orlando. The food is not gourmet, but there's something for everyone. There are TV's everywhere so it's great to watch a game. I really like the outdoor seating. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. The servers are friendly.

What can I say? Mediocre food. It's Orlando and I didn't really expect much. The people that dine here regularly will probably die of heart disease in the future.

Oh boy I think we made a big mistake coming here our soup came out cold sent it back they throw mine in the microwave and not my wife's and bring the same soup back out just brought out the salads let's hope it's better or we are leaving and not coming back had to call the manager over after that they sure got there act together the salad was good but the service really went up so they moved from a one star to a three star if they had just started right I would have givin Them a 5 star but we will try them again maybe hope they better move up to a 5 star

The only word I can think of that describes this place is...."mediocre". We ordered the food "to-go" and it was delivered to our hotel room at the Hilton. I'm hoping that maybe the food was as unappealing as it was because we had to get it to-go and couldn't sit down and really enjoy it? False hope, maybe? I ordered the "loaded cheese fries" as our appetizer and those were awful. No salt. No pepper. No flavoring whatsoever. The cheese was plain shredded cheese and only covered about half of the french fries. They were bland and the french fries were soggy. I was so disappointed. We then ordered two "french onion soups" for my husband and he said that it was very rich and tasty but that the servings were very small, thus requiring two orders. I had the chicken Caesar salad with ranch dressing. The salad was fresh but there was something "off" about the chicken. It tasted like it might have had freezer-burn, which makes me wonder...where exactly did those chicken pieces come from? Delivery waitress was friendly but the prices for this place do NOT match up with the quality of the food. I'd suggest nixing the room service at the Doubletree and hitting up one of the better restaurants at Citywalk. Oh Miller Ale House, you let me down.

Decent service is about all I can say that is positive about this ren of the mill barfood place. I had chicken wings that tasted fatty an could have cooked about 5 minutes longer so that thy wouldn't have been so chewed. The onion rings rerelease big mushy and terrible. Edible only when drowned in a the reasonable sauce they were served with. My wife characterized the fish taco's as mediocre. Maybe some of this chain's locations serve better food, but I'll never know myself.

I tend to like this chain, and this particular restaurant was good. Parking was easy, service was good, and food was good. The prices are a nice break from what you pay inside the parks! We will definitely be back.

Our kickball team has been going here for a good 9 months now. We're always seated quickly & treated very well, especially since our large group has been too much for MANY local restaurants to handle (cough - look at my other reviews - cough). The $10.99 baby back ribs on Monday are my favorite! The ribs melt in your mouth & fall off the bone as well as any great BBQ you can mention. I would have never have expected that, but ordering it 10 times, they've nailed it 10 times. The chicken nachos are of course a big draw & yummy! The beer specials are spectacular every night & we drink cheap & well!

Let me start out by saying that I frequent the I-Drive store and love Ale House... This store not so much. I've been here a couple times and always get the feeling the bartenders only want to help you of you are a regular. Tonight was no different. 2 bartenders on the bar when I sat down (older bald white guy and a black guy with dreads). They each walked by me 2 or 3 times before even acknowledging I was there. All this happening while there are maybe 8 people at the bar, the dining rooms half full and 3 managers huddle around the door to where their TV controls are. I finally get my drink and have to actually flag the bartender down a few minutes later to get an app. Food comes, drinks empty and neither notices until I take the empty glass and push it out in front of me. I dont think if Im tipping someone I should constantly have to ask for things, a good server/bartender knows what their customers need. Same thing happens for my entree and 2nd drink.... I sit and watch election results for a few then the worst part.... The bartender looks at me with my empty glass and actually asks 'u want another vodka red bull or what?' REALLY?? I'm sorry, I've worked in the industry in the past and if that's your attitude while bar tending maybe you need a new job... Over all I'd say skip this store and go to one of their others that know how to treat people.

First thing you do is order a captain jack shake. After that you've got a lot of reasonably priced good food options. Nothing is amazing but burgers, nachos, pork ossobuco, and salad are good and large portioned. The draft beer selection is good for Orlando. I prefer more microbrews, but I didn't really find any period in Orlando so it's ok. Some really good happy hour and late night prices if you like Miller. Service was good and lots of TVs playing sports is just another of the many pluses this place offers.

I am staying at the Fairfield and didn't want I pay for delivery so I ordered from here b/c it's just across the parking lot. I got the 8oz filet and was very pleased. Of course of u are getting it to go the steam will make your fries go soggy so be careful. Fries, broccoli and steak were delicious!!

Average food and very busy on a Saturday night. My rib-eye steak was over cooked to well done when I ordered it as med. rare. The waitress did take this off the bill and did offer to have another cooked. The menu is extensive and offers a wide variety of choices according to your desires. The waitress was very friendly and did check on the table regularly.

I suppose it's my own fault, but still disappointing. First I should say that the hostess and the bartender were both very friendly and the ambiance was nice. I ordered a Cobb salad without chicken/extra shrimp instead. I'm a pescetarian (I don't eat meat except for fish). The salad came and was covered in crumbled bacon. I am not super picky, so I picked most of the bacon off and ate the rest. I was already back at my hotel otherwise I'd have asked for them to remake it for me. I guess I just figure people should kind of assume you might be a vegetarian if you say "no chicken". But you know what assuming does... I'll just have to be more careful in the future.

Lakers vs Magic game was going on and we decided to have some wangs at the Ale House on this fine Sunday afternoon. What a great selection! This was my first time eating here and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I start craving their wings - back in ATL. Anyways, we ordered 50 wangs, half breaded and half naked with various dipping sauce. Sweet chili sauce, ranch dressing, garlic butter (straight to the heart) and some hot sauce. The wangs came out sooo fresh and non greasy I was amazed! I usually don't like breaded wangs as much as the naked wings. I like to be able to taste the meat with the sauce, the bread sorta gets in the way of the two. But their breaded wangs were delicious! I thought the sweet tea was a bit tooo sweet so we used alot of lemons that day since their cup size was like a 32 oz... Our waitress kept bringing out extra teas for everyone and we couldn't even finish the first cup! But that was very thoughtful of her. The service was decent, the game was going on so it was a bit rowdy and maybe a bit chaotic since there was a guy running around the restaurant waving the Magic's flag... I'm assuming that they're not too fond of the Lakers...

Have you ever seen that movie "Waiting"? I suddenly got paranoid after I ordered the steak and began thinking of that movie. I mean, that scene where the guys in the kitchen did their thing on that bitchy customer's steak and let her eat it. Gross. I was cool to the sassy blonde waitress and all but...damn. I was paranoid. My steak was not bad nevertheless. No pubes, spit or dandruff on it. We also loved the HUGE chicken nachos. Pretty tasty. My SWEET tea was always full. Being here, I started to really dig Orlando. :) I wouldn't mind coming back.

When something is bad--but the restaurant makes up for it brilliantly--do you chalk it up to a minor error and laud them for their customer service... ...or do you still report that there was an order slip marinated in salad dressing in your co-diner's steak salad? I watched across the table as a companion discreetly tugged at a piece of offending lettuce, only to find that it was an order slip. Sure, he was comp'd his meal. Sure, he got another dish free... but... who wants to find freakin' paper in their salad? I would commend their dedication to making our table happy after that (the manager was extraordinarily apologetic) had my own meal not been so awful. Crab and shrimp quesadillas. Sounds good, right? No. No it's not. Instead of, you know, just crab and shrimp in the quesadillas, they put some sort of crabby-shrimpy seafood salad with tons of creamy mayo sauce in between my virgin slices of tortilla. It's not that it tasted inedible, it was just *off*. The seafood mac-and-cheese was okay. My co-diners enjoyed their burger buns... This just isn't a place I'd ever visit by choice again.

Mediocrity, thy name is Miller's Ale House. If you like a good selection of beer, lots of screens showing sports, friendly wait staff, Miller's is the place for you. If you like good food - or even okay food - stay away. I had... actually, I'm not sure what I had - it was that unforgettable but I remember most everyone at our table being underwhelmed (although burgers were the highly rated and did look really good). The manager who stopped by our table to check on our satisfaction seemed genuinely interested as we lied about how good the food was. Summary: Great to watch sports and drink. Bad if you need to eat anything but a burger.

While staying down for the weekend to visit Universal Orlando, my girl and I were looking for a place to grab some dinner and drinks, and we noticed this place right across from our hotel. We had been to a few other Ale House's, and generally have a pretty good time, so we decided to swing on in. Was pretty surprised to see that this place was full, but not packed on a Friday night. We were able to get seated quickly, and we were off to a good start. Everything pretty much went downhill from there. Our server was a real nice guy, but seemed to be having a pretty bad night. We ordered a few beers and an appetizer to start off our meal. It took a few minutes to get our beers, as the keg had to be changed. No problem, I will wait to get my delicious Sam Adams draft. After delivering our beers, he took our orders for the main meal. About 10 minutes later, our food arrived. Unfortunately, our appetizer never did. I was pretty bummed, as I really wanted some cheese sticks, but I was about to dig into my spicy chicken sandwich, when I noticed my girlfriend's order was wrong. We flagged the waiter down, to which he apologized, and went back to the kitchen to right the order. After about 3 minutes (meaning her steak sandwich had been microwaved), he came back and forgot the dipping sauce on the side. Again. After flagging him down again, he quickly got the sauce, and when he came back, asked if we needed more beers, which we did. We were starving, so we dug into our sandwiches, which turned out were very, very good (even the microwaved one!). The spicy chicken sandwich was very spicy, very tender, and very delicious. Fries were also yummy, and the meal was pretty filling. Our waiter soon returned with our beers, and my delight turned to horror as I discovered I was not drinking Sam Adams, but a Stella, which my girlfriend had ordered. D'oh! I was pretty upset, but figured our poor waiter had just had enough, and decided not to push the issue, and chugged it down. We decided to end our meal, and head out to the bar area outside, so we could just drink and be taken care of by someone else. The bar area was great- bartenders were awesome, and I drank delicious Sam Adams draft all night long! Overall- well, our server made NUMEROUS mistakes... however, he was a nice guy, and the managers did stop by our table to apologize and comp us some stuff. The food was pretty tasty, and I had a great time. I would've given this place two stars, but because I did end up having a great time, and a pretty decent meal, I rounded it up to 3. If you're in the area and looking for a place to stop in and have beers, wings, and watch some sports on the TV, the Ale House is a great place to go. Decent crowd with lots of different folks in here, but a great atmosphere, and lots of beers on tap. The service just seems to be sketchy here, so if you're stopping in to eat, good luck to you! Would definitely recommend over some of the other places in the area, however. If I'm staying in the same hotel next time, I probably will stop in again, but it will just be for drinks.

"Zingers" were advertised as their specialty but they weren't too special in my book. Decent bar food but they have good service and a lot of TV's for games. The outdoor bar area looks like a great place to hang out.

I'm a huge football fan and trying to find a televised Miami Dolphins game in Orlando can be a little bit of hassle. Since we usually get bumped for the Bucs and the Jaguars the Orlando Ale became my Knight in shining armor. Unfortunately the armor is starting to rust. I live close to two different Ale Houses but my experiences are always the same. The upside: There's at least one television on for every major pro/college game during football and basketball season. And because the Ale House is so well known there's always a wide variety of patrons for people watching. The down side: considering a true fan stays for an entire game (3-4hrs) they don't offer great drink specials. Secondly, with as large as a menu as they offer I've never had the same thing twice. Not really a good thing when your favorite item on the menu is the French Onion soup. Bottom like if you're looking for a hangout to root on your favorite team with friends the Ale House is a great pick but make sure you don't come hungry.

I ordered the Blackend Grouper to go. It was ready by the time I got there but that's about all they got right. The grouper was way UNDER seasoned and appeared to have been thrown together hastily. The fries were mediocre. I won't try this place again.

I love this place especially my girl,Connie! I brought my friends from out town and this was their first time Orlando. they enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The best part was the service Connie was very prompt ,she suggested some drink special that my friends love , she suggested great dishes for all us to try and she very funny and got everything we needed even we were a little demanding. I will definitely recommend this place and everybody ask for Connie. She will take really good care of you.

I was in ORL for a business trip and decided to give this place a try. Anything with "Ale" in its name must be good, right? Well, it was. Great atmosphere and good food. I had the HOT wings with some garlic for an appetizer and they were decent. Not as hot as I'd like but they did the job. Then for the main dish; One time I had the fish tacos and the other time I had the cajun pasta. Both were decent. Overall, I'd come here again to eat and drink some good beer. I could see this place getting a little wild on Football Sundays. It has a lot of TVs and they are always on sports.

I love my Ale House. Any bar that's only a mile from my house can't be bad, but Ale House adds more happiness to my life with great drink specials (M-Th - 6.95 Miller Lite buckets anyone?) and cheap good food. They also have 5$ double Skyy vodka drinks. It's not my Grey Goose, but for 5$ I can deal. The shrimp and crab quesadilla is off the hook and the southwest bistro steak salad is almost equally delish. Their tuna salad sandwich, while not quite perfect is the best I've found in Orlando thus far. Bartender, I'll have one more!
