I've been coming here since I was a small kid and it remains THE best place for a great steak dinner. Terrific value thanks to generous portions of quality food. There's something indescribable about the flavor of the beef - it's simply the best - sorry Morton's. The house wine is delightful. They serve in a casual setting. Service isn't fast but it's friendly.

I had heard of Linda's La Cantina, but was hesitant to try it. I prefer dry aged steaks, and was unsure whether they served dry aged steaks here.I was in the neighborhood and stopped by today to give it a shot. I arrived just in time to snag a table. Even for a Thursday night, this place was packed! After the waiter honestly answers We started with the sirloin tips appetizer. It was ok. Their bread was fantastic! I couldn't get enough. We decided to split the 16 ounce ribeye. This came with a house salad, and we chose the baked potato side. I also ordered a side of spaghetti with meat sauce (beef). I am not exaggerating when I say every single item was delicious. The steak was deliciously seasoned and perfectly done. We left feeling so full and satisfied. I definitely recommend Linda's La Cantina.

Prices are reasonable. Decor' is dated. Rib eye was fantastic. Service was good and fast. Drinks are priced on the less expensive side. Had a 6:30 reservation and waited 25 minutes to be seated which was odd. Very small tight bar area.

My family and I have been eating here since I was a baby (40 years)! There is no filet in the world that compares to one here! The flavor and tenderness is amazing!

This is hands down our favorite steakhouse in Orlando. Been coming here since we moved into town nine years ago, and have NEVER had a bad meal. The steak is perfectly cooked every single time. And what gets me about the steak is they really don't do anything to it. The beef itself is finely cut, and they pretty much just sear it with minimal seasoning. The beef is where all the flavor is. My brother-in-law is a foodie who has lived in NYC and San Francisco, and says Linda's is his favorite steak place. So that is pretty high praise! I also absolutely love the fried shrimp. I used to get the filet only but now I get the 4 oz filet with fried shrimp (ask and they will do it for you!). The breading is crunchy, and the shrimp is tender. The minestrone soup is also terrific because they put bits of steak in there. Such a hearty, meaty flavor that you don't get out of your every day minestrone. The warm bread to start -- never turn it down. Ever. Yeah the decor has an old-school vibe, but I find it appealing. I love looking at the pics of old-time Orlando, imagining what it must have been like here in the 1950s. Never change, Linda's!

Based on my last non-visit: I called 4 times in the span on 3 hours with no answer. I left a message on the third call and had no reply. When I finally got through on the fifth call (7:45 pm) I attempted to make 9 pm reservations and the unfriendly person on the phone informed me that they close at 9pm. I apologized, and kindly suggested Linda's update their online hours. All the person said was "uh huh" and hung up.

I like steak. A lot. Due to this love of steak, I'd been wanting to try Linda's for quite some time. I would even say I was excited. Until the salad arrived. It was a cheap iceberg lettuce, straight out of a bag, kind of salad. So I thought, hmmm maybe this place is all about their steak. Salad is just expected so they give you a salad. Bring on the steak. I ordered a medium filet mignon with sautéed mushrooms ($5 extra) and a side of broccoli. The filet was well-done. Not a spot of pink on it. It had no flavor. At all. So I added the mushrooms and sadly, they had no flavor either. You know a steak is bad when you have to pour salt all over it just to eat it. The broccoli was plain which is fine because I like broccoli but the stems weren't trimmed and were too tough to chew through. It was an awful meal all around. They offer free bread but our server forgot to bring it to the table so I can't say whether it's good bread or not but my wild guess is, no. I've only dined here this one time, perhaps it was an off night. Maybe the filet was too small to only cook medium (4oz). Maybe they had a new kitchen crew. But I am disappointed enough to not find out; I just have no desire to go back.

Just so so......had reservation for a large party and still waited 30 minutes! Really! All business men very hungry...even the bar service sucked! Pay more attention to your customers and not so much to each other! A lot of employee interaction going on and forgetting about the patrons! Several of our steaks were not cooked to order and was sent back for the fixing! Very disappointed as the service has really gone down hill over the years....will NEVER bring clients here again...you made me look bad! Time to find new steak house in Orlando who actually appreciated the business!

Service is impeccable. Friendly and amazing Food is to die for. Their steaks are so flavorful...always perfectly cooked and so tender. You can't beat their prices either!!! Compared to some of the high end (I.e. Overpriced not as good) steak houses in town Linda's perfect steaks come with a salad and a side. It doesn't get better than that!!!

One of the best steak houses in Orlando. The steak is amazing. Don't you dare ask for steak sauce, it does not need it! The house salad with house dressing is so yummy! Steak fries are a must. Service was great as well:)

If you want to experience old Orlando, you have to go to Linda's La Cantina. If you want to have a great steak, you have to go to Linda's La Cantina. If you want to have a drink in a nice, classy bar, you have to go to Linda's La Cantina...basically, you have to go to Linda's La Cantina. The steak is better than Ruth's Chris, or Flemings or any other steak place of that class while being almost half the price. For example the steak in the picture attached is a 1.5 pound t-bone for $37. I know the sides come out a little underclass, but go there for the steak and go home happy (usually with leftovers!!).

I went to this location expecting a great experience based off the previous reviews and that the parking lot is almost always full. When entering the restaurant it was fairly busy but even so I stood at the front desk for almost 10 minutes before the hostess even bothered to ask if I needed help. On the plus side we were sat at a table in about half the time we were quoted and the waitress quickly came to our table. We started out with the coconut shrimp and french onion soup, the shrimp was okay but the sauce was just overpoweringly sweet and the french onion soup was fairly good. We then ordered entrees I had the sirloin and my boyfriend had the filet. Both steaks came with a side as well as a salad with choice of dressing. The salad was boring and flavorless (think prepackaged bag of salad) and the ranch tasted bottled and not fresh made. Our steaks came out and were cooked a nice medium rare with a flavorful crust (add enough salt and butter and almost anything is good)... the steaks were the best part of the meal but honestly not enough to save the rest of the experience. I had a baked potato as a side which was nothing special and my boyfriend had the spaghetti with meat sauce which tasted like packaged pasta and bottled sauce. I am glad I tried this place to know why the parking lot is always busy but we will not be returning.

Very good steaks! Not the best that we have had but very close! My husband took me here for Mother's day and since he made a reservation we got seated right away. First impression- a little loud and crowded and people were dressed in various attire; casual, dressy, flip flops, shorts...but after awhile it felt like a big family dinner. We both ordered the Argentina Cabernet which was pretty good and then they brought out the endless French bread (?) which was pretty good too. We then ordered the spicy shrimp for an appetizer which was ok. It wasn't as spicy as I would I like and I didn't like that it was just 6 shrimp so I probably wouldn't order it again. The blue cheese dressing on the salad was delicious! My husband and I shared the 16oz ribeye which they cut in half for us and didn't charge anything extra! It was very thick and perfect to share. The crust of the steak was delish! I loved that we could order spaghetti with meat sauce as a side and surprisingly it was very good! We ordered the coconut cake for dessert and it was very good! Creamy on the outside and moist on the inside. Overall, we would recommend it and it's loud enough to bring your little ones.

Best. Steak. Ever. I can't justify paying for steak often, but Linda's is ALWAYS worth it. Besides their fairly reasonable prices for steak, the service, atmosphere, and food is impeccable. I always order the bacon-wrapped filet, medium rare. And it is always expertly seasoned and cooked. The steaks also come with bread, salads, and a side, so you definitely never leave hungry. My boyfriend always tries for the 2lb T-bone, which transforms into delicious steak and eggs for breakfast the next morning. Up until recently I avoided this place because it looks (and sounds) like a sketchy Mexican joint, but totally worth reliving a little old Florida in this culinary gem.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. My parents and I have come here for years and the food has always been great. On my most recent experience, I brought my husband and we sat at the two top booth by the fire. It made for a nice, romantic evening. There are so many great choices on their menu. I normally go for the mini surf and turf with the spicy shrimp. It is wonderful and the price is quite reasonable as well. Steve was our waiter on my last visit and he did a excellent job. He made sure we had drinks then got our food out promptly to us, but still allowing for some time to enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend Linda's La Cantina for families or couples trying to have a nice night out. The steak is cooked to perfection and definitely the highlight of their menu so definitely do not forget to try it.

If only the walls could talk. It is impossible to comprehend how many deals and meals have been consummated in this establishment! I have personally been coming here for over 40 years and I am still a regular. I remember the little wooden house on the sidewalk. My Mother in law remembers the days of dating here during the days of McCoy base being present. She is 93 now so do I really need to get into a detail review of one of the best examples of the test of time. Their longevity proves they are great!

Steak Steak Steak...I love steak...down in my belly. This is a great downtown steakhouse that does not get enough recognition for their delicious entrees/sides. If you have a hankering for a delicious steak dinner or a great date spot...you found it.

Ribeye!!! Was the star of tonight's meal. This place is what you would imagine what a steak house was before any type of "chain" or franchise was thought of. Size - HUGE! At 18oz the ribeye (pic) was 3x more than I needed but well cooked with a delicious crust and deep rich flavor. The 1.5lb T-Bone (pic) didn't bring as much flavor or texture as the ribeye. This size was the smallest T-Bone that had the side portion. There is a smaller one but does not include that nice side piece ( the filet ). Meals come with a salad & one side. The large home made croutons are unique and are little gems of crunchiness in an otherwise regular salad. Make sure your wallet looks like it just ate one of these yummy steaks before you get there.

Serving Central Florida since 1947, for decades this steakhouse has served high quality beef that's cut in-house! Yep that's right, beef cut on site, who does that anymore? Amazing. Their steaks are grilled hot and fast, searing in all that juicy goodness. This long standing Orlando staple continues to attract locals and visitors alike for steak and sides done right. Don't be put off by the less than glamours exterior, the goodness is inside.

The food was very good (onion petal and friend mushroom appetizers, filets and NY Strip) and were all ordered by our group. The restaurant is always crowded due to the limited days and times they are open. It had a warm, home-like, family feel. I liked that there was the option to order anything from a $12 pasta dish to a $50 steak. I know they like the old fashioned feel but an updated atmosphere would make it 5 stars for me!

This is a home grown staple for me. My favorite mom-pop shop that is romantic in its ambiance and 5star food. I have never had a steak here I didn't love. I may have sent it back once or twice to be cooked a little more but they always make it right. Sometimes the waits are long and the waitresses are slammed but again, they always make it right. My favorite thing to do when waiting for a table is sip a glass of wine by the fire pit. The bartenders are always so friendly. They make a killer dirty martini too :-) I always get the filet. Its their most tender juicy flavorful steak. They wrap it in bacon...its delicious. My favorite side is the spaghetti with meat sauce. The house salad dressing is also one for the books. I think the croutons may be House made. My favorite is soaking the bread in the left over salad dressing so yummy. The only thing I've ever had that I didn't love is the French onion soup. I've been going to this place since I was a child and keep going back.

This place is awesome and the food is fantastic and the service is divine! Don't forget the sauteed mushrooms with your filet! And you really MUST have a drink in the lounge by the fire before you are seated for your amazing meal! And did I tell you about the homeade croutons that are so special I just want to order a salad?? You MUST try this place if you haven't, but if you are from Orlando...I know you grew up eating at this restaurant just like I did!

We celebrated my husband's birthday there last night, and Linda's was extremely accommodating. I was able to bring wine and a special birthday dessert in advance of our reservation. My husband didn't know his friends were meeting us to celebrate, but I explained that to the management, and they got our guests set up early before we arrived. They even pulled the wine out of their fridge in advance of our reservation so that it would be the perfect temp upon arrival. $10 cork fee by the way -- that's pretty awesome. Everyone enjoyed their salads, steaks, sides, and the fried onion blossom appetizer. It was a great meal, and we had great service. Linda's is truly the best in Orlando, not just because of their food, but because of their people.

Tried first to make reservation and website said someone would call me. I never heard from anyone. Tried calling numerous times and no one answered. Took a chance and Drove 30 minutes and was told it was an hour and half wait and they were to busy to answer phone. At least have someone answer the phone to let people know the wait time. Not everyone lives right next door. Lady up front was very rude. Would have been my first time here.

This is probably the only decent steakhouse that I've been to that doesn't break the bank! The food is great! Steaks are thick and cooked to perfection. The restaurant has been around since 1947. It has that "classic" feel to it that is warm and inviting. Can't wait to go again!

We came here for my birthday and made a reservation. Sad to say they didn't acknowledge that is was a special occasion. The decor is definitely out dated and if your looking for that steak house experience you will surely get it with the food but not with service. If I'm paying close to $200 I would expect my service to be top notch and it's definitely a hit or miss here. Our waiter didn't explain anything about the wine nor did he seem to care and looked a little high on something, didn't say anything about the menu nor asked if we cared for dessert towards the end. Definitely will not come back but I guess the much older crowd that they have pays their bills so I doubt they would even care who will or wont.

After reading reviews we were excited to eat at such a historic landmark in orlando. We were disappointed. Steaks were ok. Nothing special. Just ok. Our waitress seem kinda dopey and not really friendly. When we return to central fl we probably won't be back.

  • Megan A.

This place is great! It's just noisy and slow. Mostly older folks all trying to talk over each other. And it's one big open room. The food was great and didn't need any extra seasonings. We split the medium tbone. The server was kind enough to bring us both a salad and side dish. The bread was even really good and warm! Prices were on point for a family steakhouse. The wine selection was good as well.

Great steak, great fish, great service, friendly and casual but efficient, and a cool old school room vibe. And that chilled red wine, C'MON!

  • Amy C.

Food and service were both great, the prices reasonable. It definitely stays busy on the evenings and weekends, so make reservations! I loved my steak, and the onion app was delicious, certainly as good as Outback's bloomin onion, if not better. Servers were available, but didn't hover, even at it's busiest. The steak was fantastic, looking forward to my next visit.

I expected an overpriced average food experience like so many steakhouses. The menu choices are predictable but the prices were very reasonable and the steaks were actually fantastic. Great flavor/seasoning, cooked perfect and tender.

Ordinarily, I'd give Linda's La Cantina rave reviews. However, tonight's dinner was way under par in both food and service. Not to mention, it was too noisey in the dining room due to two very large parties. One couldn't hear themselves think much less enjoy a conversation with another person at their table. Long story short, my dinner arrived well after my guest had finished. Hence, it came home with me packed in a bag! Upon leaving, we encountered yet another issue. Because of the two large parties' seating arrangements, the dining room turned into a complete maze. So much for a fine dining experience on a Friday evening...sigh!

If I rated this restaurant completely on service it wouldn't even get one star. However, since I need to rate it on food as well it gets 3 stars. Reservations were at 7:30. We arrived at 7:30. We were seated at 8pm. If we were to show up a half hour late for our 7:30 reservation they wouldn't have seated us. Just because we are not regulars doesn't mean we shouldn't be greeted with a smile. We are spending over $200.00 for a table of 4 and we can't even be greeted with eye contact and a smile? You would think with this restaurant being a family owned business they would care more about their customers, regulars or not. Once we were seated we thought the worst of our bad service experience had to be over, wrong!! These servers know around how much they're getting off of a table of 4 in tips, 2 bottles of wine, $45 steaks and apps. You would think a smile would be easy for the server knowing what our check was going to be, wrong! We had to ask for bread, we had to ask for refills on our water, we had to ask for our to go boxes two times and we thanked her out of pure politeness more times than the zero times she ever thanked us! This place is in business because the food is really good. Best steak in town. Just sad to say if it wasn't for their regulars and having a good steak this place would be in trouble. People want to feel like a customer, not a nuisance. Get it together, clean house! I want to see this place stay open forever and I would hate for their front desk and servers to ruin it for them.

When it comes to Steak's here in Orlando Linda's is a Must visit! Definitely maintains a simple & nostalgic atmosphere for old & new patrons to settle into for a great meal, my favorite indulgence is the Ribeye so big, perfectly aged & cooked to perfection. Can't really pay enough compliments so can only tell you to next time you have a special occasion

This place is perfect for what it is--an old school steak house. Having just moved to Orlando, my boyfriend's parents insisted on taking us here to celebrate my law school graduation. This place is a time capsule, but I don't mean that in a bad way. It's a high end, old school, great service kind of joint. The booths seem to suck you in even more than the filet and red wine. It's nice without being stuffy and classic without being outdated. The food was spot on--the filet is untouchable, don't waste your time with anything else. The wine list has something for every taste and price range. You'll spend a dime or two here, but you'll leave full and happy. A perfect no frills celebration dinner.

Here's the deal. New York Strip -- excellent. Five stars. Great broiled crust, seasoning, everything. Ribeye -- terrible. Not trimmed at all. I know it's a fattier cut, but when I spend the entire meal trimming and am left with less than half of the weight of the steak in meat, that's a problem. Especially at this price point. Went here for my birthday dinner, but wish I could take it back. For the price of this meal, I could have gone to another local steakhouse or even Yachtsman's at Disney's Yacht Club, and I would have gotten perfectly cut steaks, house-made bread, and good service. I'm leaving this is at three stars because of my sister's truly excellent New York Strip. Too bad that didn't translate.

I read the reviews before going here last Friday night. I was almost convinced not to go by some of the things I read. Who are those people and what do they expect. Like any other great food service establishment it was slammed busy. We were greeted by a busy hostess who sat us immediatly. We had 7:30 reservations and by 7:30 the drinks were on our table. We ordered the T bone and a ribeye, baked potato and spagheti for sides. Th steaks exceeded oru expectations and the service was top notch. Make reservations as the tables fill instantly. We will return and are sorry we waited so long to

This is one of our favorite restaurants. It's always the top choice if we're celebrating a special occasion. Their steaks are delicious. We always get the filet and it's always cooked to perfection. You hardly need a steak knife to cut it. The prices are reasonable. It's not cheap, but that's because it's a steakhouse. We've been to other steakhouses that are much more expensive. Linda's, unlike other steak restaurants, doesn't serve their food a la carte (which is really nice). This may seem odd, but their croutons are amazing. They're made fresh in house. They have a cool bar area and the wait staff are always very friendly. We love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Quite pricey, but very good! The wine as well as the food were of great quality and taste. The ambiance is wonderful but the service is lacking...I knew nothing about my waiter, he just brought food and left. Otherwise: fantastic.

We had an amazing steak!! I had the Tbone and my wife had the NY strip. Both were the best steaks we have ever had. We also were bad and ordered the blooming onion. It was better than the one at Outback. The atmosphere is more family style than romantic. The service was very good but not pampered like a high end steak house. We had an appetizer and 2 very big steaks with bread a house salad and a potato. Our total bill was less than 100 dollars! We will go back very soon!!!! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the noisy atmosphere.

    (4)
  • Tyler P.

I am glad there are still old school steak houses out there. We enjoyed the onion crown and the fried mushrooms as appetizers. Everyone got the filet I was with and it look great. I got the large ny strip and it was huge. The service was better than I saw on here but the prices were a little high. Great visit overall and I will be back!

  • Alex S.

The steak here is great, as you probably heard. They start you off with home made white bread which is delicious. I then had a house vinaigrette salad, which was good. Nothing special, but good. Then came the T-bone, which was cooked to perfection and generously portioned. I had a comparable steak dinner at Capital Grille a few weeks ago, and this was much better for half the price! The atmosphere is very "homey," not too fancy or pretentious, just good people and great food. Make sure you eat here, you will not regret it. I can't wait to to back, maybe I'll take my mom for Mother's Day!

We went to this restaurant and arrived at 9:35 pm, and they said NO we will not take you??? Are you serious I called before and the girl told me get there at 9:30 pm, we drove from Windermere as fast as we could and I explained that, but they rudely told me they would not seat us after 9:30. Seriously??? I also went on to explain we would eat fast and leave. The restaurant was full of people still, but they still would not seat us! We ate there a couple of times before and the front staff is always extreme rude! I can't believe a restaurant would turn a customer away??? I can say that will be the absolute last time I will ever go back. The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere is okay, there are plenty of good steak houses around that I can give my hard earned money to!

  • Amanda R.

I was definitely expecting more from the exterior of this place. It seemed much more of an upscale steakhouse, and I had high hopes for the quality of the food. As a non-steak eater myself, I often find myself in the position of having to order the non-"specialty" of a steakhouse. The yellowish tuna I ordered, however, was barely edible. It was wayyy too spicy and I could barely taste the fish itself. The atmosphere of the place was quaint, and the service was decent; however, atmosphere could not make up for the quality of my entree. The potato side was nice, but unfortunately I left hungry.

Our party of 4 ordered 2 one and one half pound T-Bone steaks, and 2 Fillet Mignon. All were fabulous. My "medium" t-bone was so large I ate about a third and was stuffed! Then took home enough for two lunches at 4 oz. Each. Love this place.

Good tbone. Over salted and slightly overcooked. Definitely not a top steakhouse but a good steak in a not so good atmosphere.

The service was quick & friendly. The salad is nothing to rave about; however, the steak is really good. This restaurant has been around for years and is truly a small, family business. Definitely should try if you haven't been.

its only open about 20 hours a week so check that before you go. Its an old school place with old school flare. Block building with no windows. But it just adds to the charm. The food is excellent. Had the strip steak and filet. Both were cooked perfectly. Side potato and salads were also on point. Only complaint I have is the chocolate cake dessert drenched in chocolate sauce sucked, but who cares.

We have been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and it remains THE best steak in town!!! Where else can you get a t- bone that covers the plate and that you cut with your fork??? Each bite is better than the last- when you finish you'll look at that empty plate thinking... I can't believe I ate the WHOLE thing!!!

  • Rick S.

i like this place a lot. The kids like the chopped steak and they never like anything. My steak was good, wives steak had some fat that was disappointing. manicotti was a bit salty for our friend but very good. Bread good, house dressing good. Service was good she was attentive. They still get five stars, but should watch the quality control a bit on the sirloin. the steaks were a bit char broiled, i don't recall that being like that in past visits.

I always love coming here for special occasions or the wife and I are in the mood for a real good steak. I always get the medium T - Bone cooked medium - rare and blackened. For the same price you pay at Charlie's for the steak alone, here you get the salad and side and bread with it. About $33 for the medium 1 and 1/2 pound tbone dinner.

The food was spectacular but the server we had was really horrible. Chewing gum, no tableside manner, rushed us through the meal, etc.

Sat at the "Fire table" the food was delicious, had the 16oz ribeye it was so tender and juicy. The house salad with the house dressing was good. The service was great as was the atmosphere. We will definitely be back again.

Linda's has been in Orlando since 1947, and it looks like some of the regulars have been coming in since not long after that. This is a very popular place to eat and can be full when you arrive, causing a wait. I have to say that they put all their 66 years of experience into cooking my rib eye steak, it was an other worldly steak experience. The best I can remember tasting in many years, if not ever. Yes, the salad was a bit pedestrian, I will look for some sort of upgrade next time I come in. If you haven't tried this place you should. The value is tremendous, being one half the price of the big chain steakhouses.

This place is an INSTITUTION. As an Orlandoan, it's the spot. You want a piece of meat and some cheap wine, they got you covered. I'm not sure the fire fountain is up to code with the fire marshall, but I mean come on FIRE DANCING ON THE WATER. Are you kidding me, the last time i checked we were in Orlando and not Vegas. You want some deliciously fried croutons to go with your house made blue-cheese? They got you covered. The decor makes this place an Orlando must. Having lived in Orlando my entire life, I somehow never made the trip here. Having been six times the past year, I realized the err of my ways. Get the ribeye, get the cheap house wine, and relax.

I have to give it to this place, we have been to all of the expensive steakhouses in orlando and this is the hubbys favorite. We go here for his birthday and fathers day. He would choose lindas over ruths chris, motons and del friscos. Since I don't eat red meat, it is the best of both worlds. The eggplant is always awesome. The kids really enjoy it. (They love the fire in the fountain and the food.) It is truly a hidden jem in Orlando. Psst don't tell anyone or we might not get a table.

Great steak. 12 oz, house salad, loaded baked potato, $29. 8 oz filet same price, cooked perfectly.

When i first walked into this place i though i have just entered a bingo night at a senior housing, lol. J/K. I don't know if it was only that night but about 95% of the people in there were an elderly crow and that for some reason immediately makes me skeptical about the food quality, i'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, lol. Anyhow, on to the food; We started with the bourbon sirloin tips and fried mushrooms. The sirloin tips were kinda of tough and chewy but the sauce was very very tasty and they come in a generous portion for being an appetizer, so i was happy about these two things but did not really made up for what i thought was poor quality meat, but thankfully the sauce made it more pleasant to eat. The beer battered fried mushroom weren't bad but i though they lacked a bit of seasoning and flavor, perhaps they rely on the sour cream horseradish on the side to take care of that? they need to work on that! Next we had the entrees, i had the spicy buttered shrimp and my wife had a ribeye steak. The shrimp was very tasty, decent size and tender and it is served with a cajun dipping sauce alongside that was delicious! i was very happy with this dish and was the highlight of the night for me. Alright, Not let me take on the over glorified hyped up famous steaks this place supposedly has to offer; The steak was just OK. Def nothing to write home about. With that said, i can not believe how many reviews i see here of people raving about this place being better than del frisco's etc. Really? NO. IMO there's no remotely comparison, i mean these guys are not even using USDA PRIME grade meat and yes, i'm able and was able to tell the difference. They supposedly use USDA choice which you can pick up at any walmart or publix so there isn't really anything special about the meat they serve here. I can honestly say that i have cooked a more tasty steak in my house. This place doesn't even begin to compare to the so called "hyped prime" steak houses as some yelpers like to call it such as del frisco's who offers a far superior PRIME/Dry aged piece of steak. Service; sloooowwwwwwwwww. It took us about 45 min to get all of our food. NOT cool. I'm glad i can cross out this place off my list, though it was not a horrible experience here, it had its ups and downs, but i don't think i'll be coming back.

My number one favorite restaurant in Orlando for a good old fashioned steak and potato dinner. Linda's always starts you off with a nice moist bread. I only get the steak dinners there which comes with a soup or salad and a side item. The house vinaigrette is a little too sweet for my taste. Aside from that, the steak and sides are always perfection.

Linda's La Cantina is the best purveyor of steaks I've ever had. The martini was good, the bathroom was nice. To be fair, I am giving the 5 stars for those reasons. However there are some negatives: the side of broccoli was pretty bad--drowned in butter and limp. The butter for the bread...it was cold, now how can I spread cold butter on a cold bread? Well, I can't.

  • Aldrim C.

Everything was pretty good. I would say the taste was above average. The reason I gave it 5 stars is because you can't beat the price. Service was good and lots of food was served. I wouldn't take a girl there on the first date bc the place is a little outdated but great for family and couple looking to save on a great meal.

Food: I had a house salad with their house vinaigrette, bread with butter, and the 16oz. Ribeye. The salad was slightly larger than most restaurants' house salads. It was pretty standard but their house vinaigrette was really good. Their bread was just so-so. It did not have much flavor and didn't really add to the meal in any meaningful way. The 16oz. Ribeye was perfectly cooked medium-rare and was absolutely delicious. This is how steaks should be done! Staff: Very friendly crew here. The hostess was warm and welcoming and my waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. Ambiance: Something about enjoying a steak in a dimly-lit restaurant just feels right. It's definitely a relaxed atmosphere. Dressy clothes are optional but not required. I do feel, however, that their dining room could use an update in the near future. Overall I will definitely be back to try some other cuts and some of their appetizers. I give them four stars for now and hopefully five stars after I visit again.

Expecting great and got it! Sirloin was cooked medium as requested, steak-tips were plentiful, filet was perfectly m-rare, all baked potatoes were fresh as can be (wow!). Salads and bread are still so-so. The servers can be a bit sarcastic at times but, I try and let that blow over. We've been guests here longer than some of the servers have been alive (not Mark,,,, and he's our fav,)

We met a nice family at Cocoa beach who recommended this place. Met them there and made a party out of it. Yes the steak is as good as you have heard about. I ordered the filet mignon and was pleasantly surprised. This steak rivals the big-name more expensive chain steak houses. Definitely a place to revisit.

I went here for a birthday dinner last night. I had heard rave reviews. The prices were good however, the steak quality does not compare to the more pricey steakhouses like Del Frisco's. I will say that I was happy with the price of my meal and the quantity of food: A $16 meal which included a 4 oz. filet, steamed broccoli, and a baked potato. I liked how the meal came with a salad and a side (I subbed my salad for two sides) instead of a la carte like most steakhouses. I tried the Bourbon Bites for an appetizer. The flavors were nice however the steak was overcooked and a little dry. Overall, so-so food with good prices.

I've been living in Orlando for a long time and since BestBuy opened there on 50 a while back Linda's La Cantina always looked like they were out of business when I was visiting BestBuy. Not until I realized that they only serve dinner! Finally decided to give them a try since it came highly recommended and no one near the east side of Orlando serving steaks like the high ends ones at the other side of town. We made reservation on a Friday night and we got in fairly quickly. My friend and I got the 18oz NY strip and wife got the 14oz version of it. My daughter got the 4oz filet mignon. We also tried out the popular house wine which was so so but we were there strictly for the steaks. The bread was plain but somehow it tasted good with the butter, we must be hungry. Salad was salad but we wanted our steaks! Our steaks were salted properly the way I like it (on heavier side) and I wolfed it down but thoroughly enjoyed it. I was under the impression that the steak was aged but I couldn't tell since it was a bit on a tough side (the menu said USDA Choice or above grade cut). Regardless, I liked it so much that I also finished my wife's leftover 7oz or so without problems. Overall it was satisfying. To have this kind of steak served on the east side of Orlando is definitely a plus and priced below the more expansive place without sacrifice much quality and flavor. Even though I think I mastered Alton Brown's method of cooking the perfect steak at home (too much smoke using the pan fry-oven method) I will come back to Linda's and enjoy a good piece of steak without smoking up the house.

This is THE PLACE for Steak in Orlando! The hubby and I have been going here for years and Linda's never disappoints. The filet and T-Bone are always seasoned and cooked perfectly along with the steamed broccoli! The chef clearly knows the difference between medium rare, medium, and well done unlike many other steakhouses around here. Two steaks (medium T-bone at 1.5 lbs each), with the house salad, side item, a side of bearnaise and 2-3 glasses wine generally run us $70-80 (and that includes the tip). The portions are large so bring your appetite and no need to dress, it is a casual laid back atmosphere.

Don't let the name fool you, there is nothing remotely Mexican or hispanic about this place at all. What is not confusing is the steak. Prior to eating here, I wasn't much for plopping down big bucks for a hunk of meat. This place changed my mind however. I blame places like Sizzler, which I grew up eating every weekend, or places like Outback which is overpriced and way overrated. Their recipe is simple: good quality aged meat, seasoned with salt and cooked in butter. Something magical happens when you apply high amounts of heat to a piece of meat covered in butter. It's the best way to enjoy a steak. Is it as good as a steak found at Morton's or Ruth's Chris or whatever? I don't know.. I have never been able for afford places like that. I can afford Linda's, prices ranging from $16 to $40 for their largest cut of meat.. Not bad. Definitely worth the trip outside of the tourist trap of I Drive.

I've eaten at all the hyped "prime" steakhouses around town. Charley's, Del Friscos, Fishbones, Flemings etc etc. Those places will serve you an excellent over-priced meal sure, but if you want the same caliber meat you can get it a Linda's for a 1/3 of the cost if not less. It's a steakhouse, so treat it as such. Stick to the red meat here and you'll be happy I assure you. The building is not much to look at outside or on the inside. It could definitely use a makeover. But I'm not there to eat the freaking wall paper, give me the best steak you can and I'll be a happy man! I always get great service from (Sam)mantha. I highly recommend requesting her as your server. My perfect meal at Lindas is: 1st course, Lg. Blackened Snapper (to share) 2nd course, House Salad w/ Bleu Cheese & house Vinaigrette (mix them on you salad trust me!) 3rd course, Pittsburgh Rare Ribeye with a loaded baked potato. I recommend bringing your own wine, the corkage is fair at $10 a bottle. I also bring my own stemware. Nobody raises a brow.

First time diner. I had the French Onion Soup and it was very good. We both ordered steaks, my wife the NY strip and I ordered the ribeye. My main problem with the steaks is that the outside was very charred. It was very tough to cut because of how burnt it was on the outside. The flavor on the inside was flavorful and good. I've been to many steakhouses all over the country and a great steak is never charred on the outside. Cooked well and charred are two different things and greatly affect the end product. We should've sent them back but didn't and in the end we regretted the decision. We may go back inthe future but if that was to happen again, this time they will go back to the kitchen. The service was good, the waitress was very attentive to our needs.

I've been going to La Cantina for as long as I can remember. It's still my family's favorite restaurant. My adult children love it too. I've probably been close to 200 times. I've been to every fine dining restaurant in central Florida. La Cantina is one of the top 5 restaurants. It's old school and they have a coconut cream cake that is amazing.

Great Value Steak. Not Delfriscos, but kicks the crap out of Outback or most Chain steaks at similar price. If u want a well cook filet for under $30, this is it. If ur looking for perfection this isnt it.

I'm not a huge red meat eater, so I rarely - if ever - get excited about steak houses. This place is super old school. Supposedly it's run by a local woman and has been in Orlando for a million years. The decor is old-ish, but charming because I could tell that place has a lot of history. Apparently the original building burned to the ground but they rebuilt it. There are pictures everywhere. It's dark but rather quiet. I think the crowd is very localized, but that's good, right? I had the chicken parm, which was pretty tasty. The house salad and the bread aren't that great, but like I said, it's old school and very mom-and-pop. The prices aren't ridiculous, either. My total dinner was under $15. The portions are rather generous. I don't think I'll go back unless someone else suggests we eat there again.

Wonderful steak flavor at a lowish price! I give it a 5 stars on food and value, 4 on service, and 3 on ambiance. That said, it is my my absolute go-to steak place when I get the fever. It is not, like some great steakhouses, a place with 3 forks, high-folded napkin, a sommelier, etc. Our party of four geezers went here for my 65th birthday (including, Godblessim, my 90 year-old FIL, who is in better shape than I am.) This was our second visit. The 5 star food and value: I had a perfectly cooked, (med-rare) and deep flavored rib-eye. You just can't get that flavor in your back-yard grill. The included salad was cold and crispy with a nice bleu-cheese dressing. The included baked potato was perfect. The blackened snapper was reported as delicious, the eggplant parmesan as well. The Hawaiian chicken, however, was dry and tough. Onion soup was average good, but the coconut shrimp appetizer was great. We avoided the house wine and went with a low priced domestic cab, which was fine. I don't recall the name of the dessert we shared, but it was great, along with the coffee. Total bill for 4, before tip and senior discount, was about $160. I believe that's at least 30% less than the other good Orlando steakhouses. The 4 star service: Our waitress was busy, but did a fine job, considering. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I did need to reminder her, again, that I was a brand new 65 year-old and thus entitled to my 12% discount on my entree, along with my FIL. The 3 star ambiance: Absolutely nothing wrong with the ambiance, but it doesn't have that "special occasion" look. Our table/booth, in a corner near the entrance, was very quiet which we greatly enjoyed. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. Overall it was an excellent dining experience for us. So congrats to Linda's for keeping it simple and doing it well!

I've been to Linda's several years ago and thought it was ok and we were in the area so we tried it again and I just wasn't happy with it at all. I mean it was ok..but not sure why everyone is raving about it. We split the bone in porterhouse and I thought it was greasy and reminded me of something my grandma used to cook at home on the stove top (not the good grandma food.) The steak was cooked to the proper temp so that was good but it was just really average. Bread was just boring bread. I have the french onion soup and I did thing that was good. That was my favorite thing. We sat in the bar and I like the atmosphere there way better than the restaurant and the bartender was very nice and attentive. Anyway...it's just so-so in my opinion, sorry to say.

Thank goodness we came across this restaurant! My daughter was feeling anemic and needed a good, juicy steak to up her iron count. We felt that the dinner and service were above standard. Good salad, good soup, good bread, good entree, good value. Has an old-time charm that makes you feel that you're really in a family-owned steakhouse. It was a fluke that we wound up here, but I'm glad we did.

After living here for 40 years, l finally ate here. We had 15 at our table and the service was good. I left a message at 9:00 am before they opened tor a reservation tor 15. They called me back at 11 and confirmed it. The food was great. I heard no complaints from the group.

I noticed the parking lot of this place was always busy. In addition since it was limited to hours only at dinner time I figured it must have tasty food that made them uninterested in attracting a lunch crowd. The service was attentive. The décor severely out of date. The food was an extreme disappointment. My 12 ounce filet mignon was cooked perfectly but GROSSLY over seasoned with a salty flavor spoiling it. Its the first filet I have ever eaten with gristle in it. The Béarnaise sauce tasted like glue and was lumpy. The baked potato was undercooked. The homemade blue cheese dressing for the salad was tasteless. Bottled dressing actually tastes better. The salad arrived lukewarm with mostly cheap iceberg lettuce. The bread was actually the best part of the meal. One of my dining companions ordered the Chicken Parmesan - DON"T make that mistake. I suspect, looking around at other patrons that the place is thriving on a golden era that long passed.... a time when the food tasted good. My advice.....grill your steak at home or go elsewhere.

Linda's is our "go to" steakhouse. My parents were in from Indiana and we took my mom there for her Birthday celebration on January 25th and it was fabulous. I also have entertained business clients there too. Just fantastic food. Forget all the chains and go to Linda's.....just not when I am planning on being there because I need a table. Hahaha.

After some 40+years, it remains the best for steaks in central florida. Flavor hasn't varied and still the most economical in town. Over half price from the pretentios steak houses having less flavor than my back yard! Treat yourself, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

All my coworkers were raving about this place and they decided to do a group dinner here one night and I was totally looking forward to it. I figure a group of 10 that are raving about must be good. Everyone says that I need to try the rib-eye plus they know I am a rib-eye guy, but instead of going with my usual, I decided to venture off to one of the restaurants specialty after seeing the table next me get theirs. The Cantina special T-bone, the thing was the size of my plate for the medium size, but I took one look and felt something was wrong. The meat didn't look too charred and a bit pale looking as well. As I started to cut into it, I noticed that it was overcooked, I ordered medium rare and this came out medium. Then when I took my first bite, it was dry and heavily salted...what a disappointment. One of my other coworker couldn't finish her rib-eye so she offered it to me and that was one tasty piece of rib-eye, not the best but definitely done right. If you were to come here, I would recommend getting the rib-eye and not the T-bone

I don't know how they do it, but the steaks are great! They're not even prime or dry aged, but somehow manage to taste awesome. Perfectly cooked as well - good char and bloody meat. That said, the sides are pants and the dining room feels like you stepped into a time machine set to take you back to 1960...not in a good way. oh oh oh...the house made bleu cheese dressing is spectacular as well.

My steak was cooked perfectly but others in my party weren't. However the staff accommodated them and did a good job. It was packed when we were there so the tables were too close together. Overall though a good value for the money.

I ate at La Cantina with a large group for my mother-in-law's birthday. First impression - cool atmosphere. I like the history of the place and all the era's that this business has survived. The business has been around since 1947 and has made it through a lot of challenges, including a fire in 1994 that destroyed the restaurant. It is a staple of the East Orlando area! The decor was recently updated when I visited and it was a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and basically the whole experience was pretty nice! There is nothing more satisfying than a well-cooked and quality piece of steak, and I must say that La Cantina's steaks do not disappoint. They are tender and good quality meat. I also tried a bit of the Chicken Parmigiana and that was also good - but seriously if you're going to a steakhouse as respected as Linda's - just get some of that meat!

Linda's La Cantina has been serving great steaks for as long as I can remember and they still offer a very solid product. Great steaks, really good and potent cocktails, friendly service and realistic pricing. My family and I dined there last night and were delighted as always. We started our evening with a Meyers and Coke and a Long Island Icea tea to wet our whistles our daughter had water with lemon. Our apetizers consisted of a fantastic blooming onion and small crocks of delicious French Onion Soup Gratin. For the main course I opted for my usual 8oz Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon, medium rare with sauted mushrooms. The requisite Baked Jacket Potato fully loaded and crisp house salad with Blue cheese dressing rounded out my meal. If you havent had a Linda's steak it's hard to convey how really good the flavor is. Its prime aged beef and fork tender. It's always cooked perfectly to the temperature you order it. A beef lovers nirvana. My wife and daughter were in a seafood mood and had the Blackened Snapper and the Grilled Ahi Tuna. Both of those were excellent, fresh tasting and moist.. There were accompanied by Linda's delicious home made green beans with bacon and salad. Yum, Yum and Yum We never have room for deserts but they look good and other diners seem to really enjoy them. Linda's is an old school steakhouse. They dont serve extoic foods like seafood ceviche or beef carpacio as some of the new steak houses do, thats not their thing. They concentrate on turning out a great steak dinner at a price that doesnt require a second mortgage on the house. Give them a try and you'll be back!

THE BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD, AND IT DIDN'T BREAK THE BANK!!! From the outside it doesn't look like much, even the name might throw you off, but give it a chance and you will be impressed. Thats of course if you like steak. That's what you come here for, Bacon Wrapped Filet or the T-bone etc. For the price of the Medium Filet $29.99, you get a good salad, bacon wrapped filet, a side and bread. Compared to some the bigger named places, this is a great deal!! Most of those places you have to order ala carte. That can get expensive! Bottom line, if you want a Great Steak, Go to Linda's.

So far, my preferred place to get a little extra iron in me. Once you drive into the parking lot, you can smell the cooking meat, and if you're lucky, you don't have to wait long to get a piece of it. We had a reservation, but the place was slammed and we had to wait 10 minutes before being seated right in front of the kitschy fire in the lounge. Oh man, this fireplace is from a different era, which it may be since Linda's has been around for awhile. We felt like some of the youngest people there, many of the other patrons being of what you may consider Orlando's retirement stock who get greeted by name. There was also a fair share of families there. Service can be described as friendly, although harried. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, but it seemed like he didn't stop running around for a second. We ordered the filet mignon and t-bone steak. And I never learn: don't order side dishes from a meat place! I ordered grilled onions but they turned out too thickly cut, not grilled enough and charred in some places. The sides that come with the dish, salad and choice of baked potato/fries/broccoli/spaghetti/green beans, are enough to round out the meal. The meat was fantastic! The filet mignon more so than the t-bone which had some gristle that prevented me from devouring all the non-bone parts! Overall, very satisfied with value of the meal. Oh, and for the ladies, check out the incredibly girly women's bathroom. When I left it, I had the desire to own a hatbox and a framed picture of Audrey Hepburn.

Let me preface this review by stating that I am not a steak person and therefore don't really care for places that specialize in the red meat, which is why I only gave this place 3 stars. However, Linda's is not just any steakhouse. It is one of the oldest places in the Orlando area, historic even. This place has been since before I was born and yet still manages to do great business and appeal to people from all over. I first came here with my aunt and uncle who love the classic feel, simple menu and romantic ambience of this place. You wouldn't guess by looking at the exterior, but inside it's actually quite nice with simple, elegant decor on the interior. I order a fish dish and it wasn't bad. Their salad bar was a bit lacking though. The times I came here after that were before high school dances or with friends...and I have to admit it wasn't my choice. Nonetheless, the food was good and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The waiters are all good at theirs and take great care of their customers. Most of the customers here tend to be older folk, those who have either lived here for most of their lives or lived here as a kid and remember this place from their childhood. That can make for a "stuffy" atmosphere at times depending on when you go. Overall, this is not my favorite place, but a restaurant you should try at least once, especially if you are meat and potatoes kind of person.

My favorite place to get a simple yet great piece of steak. I go for the large NY Steak (which is no less than 20oz.) This is a traditional steak house where they cook the right way. I enjoy places like Outback and Longhorn but those places "hide" the taste of the beef by adding too much (in my taste) seasoning. I mean, they are open since 1947 so they have steaks down to a science. When you are looking for a place that has a simple menu that don't need translation or sub-titles as to what the dish includes, this is the place for you. Oh, and their Long Island Ice Tea isn't that bad either. ;)

Linda's has the best steaks we've had in many years! The large NY strip is incredible, and there's always some to take home. The service with Steve (on the bar side) is great. When you walk out of Linda's you can truly say "what a great meal"! Casual atmosphere compared to the some of the "overpriced" steak places. Definitely a must in Orlando.

A really good steak house located near Orlando Executive Airport. Surloin served hot and prepared as requested, medium rare. At least 2 oz. larger than menu size. Chicken, fish also on menu. Several side choices including spaghetti. A good choice for business travelers. Service was fast and pleasant.

Great steaks! Whenever we end up in Orlando for a trade-show we make it a point to stop by here and get a nice steak dinner. Their cooking method is truly genius, and makes for a great tasty steak every time, and I'm not even that big of a steak person! The quality is always excellent and the service is always good - even for our large and probably very annoying group! Plus they have a pond with a flame in it? And they wonder why it burned down? LOL

DON'T GO THERE IF YOUR A VEGATERIAN....BUT CARNIVORES...OH YEAH!!! It is quite possibly the best steak I ever had...The meat is aged for 30 days and quite amazing! I can't seem to get anything other than the Ribeye with the pasta and white sauce...For $29, it is TOTALLY worth it, you are paying for high quality ingredients and careful attention to detail in the preperation...Additionally, the service has always provided a family touch that you don't get many places...Great food @ good prices = good value...Can't wait to go back..

Last weekend I moved into a house and went with my family to celebrate at nearby Linda's. Our first time there and we enjoyed it very much. Great tasting steaks, expertly prepared. The yelp description says that the noise level is "quiet", but it was louder when we went (not sports bar loud, but on this Saturday night dinner it certainly wasn't quiet); tables are fairly close together. It's fun to see their old pictures of Orlando, as Linda's has been in the community for decades. Say hi to the two resident cats outside!

Linda's is one of my favorites. I could go on and on about Del Frisco's, Morton's, or Flemings on Sand Lake, but La Cantina serves wonderful steaks at very reasonable prices. I usually go with the small Top Sirloin, priced at about 99 cents (maybe more like $14.99), cooked rare. It's wonderful and affordable. Try to make a reservation in the quieter lower bar, near the fireplace, and enjoy a martini, also at a reasonable price. They've been around for about 60 years, which is 150 years in older-city years, so they must be doing it right.

Usually when my husband and I wanted a steak dinner on the east side of town, we were at a loss and would typically end up going to Longhorn Steakhouse down the road. Which IS very good, but also can be very crowded and hectic to get in and out of. We tried Linda's because of some of the good reviews on Yelp and were not disappointed in the least. In fact, Linda's La Cantina surpassed our expectations. The restaurant definitely has a retro throwback feel which made my husband and I feel like we were back one of the local mom-and-pop restaurants back in the northeast, down to the pasta side dish offered with each entree. The photos of Orlando circa 1950s on the walls is also a great touch. I love how Linda's embraces it's past while serving up a good steak dinner. I had the filet and my husband and the t-bone steak. Even though the serving size is listed on ounces on the menu, the steaks were still much larger than we had expected, perfectly done to our request and tasted excellent. The seating arrangements were also good, from booths for couples have a romantic dinner, to larger tables for accommodating families. The tables were also nicely spaced so you didn't feel like you were eating on top of another party and prices were not bad compared with the other upscale steakhouses of Orlando. Next time my husband and I are looking for steak dinner, this will absolutely be our first choice.

The steaks here are the buttery, well-aged, expertly prepared type. The type we don't come across often enough. But the salad is lackluster, the bread is boring, and the atmosphere is dingy. Oh, and the service is meh. I've never done it before, but maybe next time I'll get just steak to go...

A local brought me here saying tourists are not allowed. He was right. They had the baseball cut top sirloin. It was great. Cooked to perfection. Salad was good too. It's a good spot.

The Best Steak In Orlando!!!! No, seriously. The Best. The ambiance is wonderful, more laid back than something like Ruth's Chris and less expensive. I love the fire over the water, beautiful. My boyfriend took me here last Valentine's Day and we had a fabulous time, it was packed, we had reservations, still had a bit of a wait. We enjoyed the bar in the mean time.

Back at Linda's for another GREAT STEAK. Linda's has been here since forever and never disappoints. The atmosphere is somewhat muted, although the bar does feature more than one type of firewater, you'll just have to check it out to understand! I have been coming here for at least 20 years and Linda's is as close to a "mortal lock" as you will ever find. The steaks are the best of the best, served by a competent and courteous wait staff. This may sound crazy, but I don't have any idea how most of the menu items are, but I can tell you this, the steak is awesome. I tell everyone I know to visit Linda's and I have never heard a complaint. The wine list is certainly sufficient and the desserts are pretty good too. I had the banana cream pie on my recent visit and not only was it an absurdly large portion, but it was very good as well. Linda's is a must visit every time I make it to Orlando. You should too!

If you don't LOVE steak, then don't come here. Reason: the steaks are unbelievably good, but their non-steak dishes are anything but special. The eggplant parmigiana is bland, the broccoli is bland, they don't have an extensive a la carte side dish list, they don't have salads except for the house salads that come with the entrees, and the pastas are not special at all. Now, let's talk about the steak. 18 ounce New York strip for $33. $33 is a very reasonable price considering the amount of taste and flavor that explodes from it. It is perfectly seasoned and aged. High end steak and middle-end steak prices. The 18 ounce Sirloin is not as much of a finer cut as the NY Strip, but they still pass the test with flying colors as the Sirloin cooked medium rare will guarantee you an adventure as far as flavors and juices. With the steaks, you always get a house salad, hot bread, and a side dish. I recommend the steak fries as the side dish. They really go perfectly with the kind of robust flavor you're going to find in the steak. They also have T-Bones, Filet Mignons, and Prime Ribs. For appetizer, you can get something called an "onion crown" which is alot like the Outback Bloomin Onion. In a word, delicious. But, as sure as it's delicious, it's also very unhealthy. I generally like the ambience. I especially like the Lounge area where this is a little pond and a fire in the middle. The bar area looks classy, but you will pay classy prices for the alcohol. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have Glenfiddich scotch, but they did have Glenlevitt, and they poured about double the amount of scotch you would get at most steakhouses and only charged $1 extra. Scotch and steak is a tradition of mine and an important constituent of my steakhouse experience. My biggest and maybe only problem with my experience was the service. In no way was the service high-end steakhouse type service. It took a while for the server to greet us, when we finished our salads, the empty salad plates were left sitting on our table for 20-25 minutes and the server saw this many times, but chose to neglect it. It was also very difficult to get a hold of him and communicate with him. I was expecting alot in terms of service since every high-end steakhouse that I've been to will give me the service I expect. The server did look busy as they gave him 6 tables to handle, but the restaurant should have somebody going around picking up plates. I also would have liked the place alot more if there were some good a la carte side dishes like mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and potatoes au grautin. Also, some salads that you can get as an entree or to pay a few extra dollars for in lieu of the house salad. I always look forward to a bleu cheese wedge salad when I go to a steakhouse, but they didn't have any salad options. The salad tasted like any salad you can get at any restaurant. That being said, the steaks and steak fries were incredible. Everything else was average at best. I find it hard to validate being a regular here when you have the complete package in steakhouses at Kres Chop House on Church Street. I guess the allure of Linda's as opposed to Kres is that it's a more casual feel and atmosphere. Also, the steaks come with a lot of food as opposed to most steakhouses which will make you pay for everything separately.

The steaks were incredibly tender and flavorful. My 4 start review is for that. What disappointed me was our slow and bland server who missed out on extra drink orders and took a long time to even take our orders. The plentiful warm bread didn't taste homemade and my steamed broccoli was soggy. However others in the party did enjoy the steak fries. I had the mini surf n turf. 6 spicy shrimp and a 4 oz steak. $24 and not a bite leftover.

The steaks were good. They have a small bar, so it was a great place to watch the Lakers vs Orland NBA finals. We went with are two children and it was fine.

Very old school steak house. Excellent service. Great steaks. It is so unusual for Orlando as most places are tourist traps. If you want to escape the tourist areas and get a great meal - head here.

I am only reviewing the steaks. My Dad takes me here when I visit home (I'm from O-town and live out of state now). Good lord -- I love the steaks. I will not divulge the sacred cut that I love, but let's just say it doesn't taste like ass ;)

This is my son, Kerry's, favorite locally owned steak house in Orlando. We always have a great time here; it's not a chain or franchise. Naugahide booths and checkered table cloths make it feel like something out of the '50s. Steaks are great, salads wonderful. A local establishment. What could be better than an ice cold martini and a medium rare steak shared with those you love?

La Cantina is "old school Orlando" at its best. The ambiance is not much, except for the cool sunken bar with fire fountain. Their steaks are out of this world. I ALWAYS order the filet (wrapped in bacon) and my husband loves the t-bone.

Best steakhouse in Orlando. This place is has been a family owned business for 60 years. We walked in and it seemed everyone knew each other but they all took the time to talk to us as well. Customers talked to us from other tables but it wasn't a bother-it was all fun. The excellent service and food was a delightful ending to a busy day. I can see why they have so many regular customers. Our salads were crisp lettuce with tomatoes and homemade garlicky croutons that tasted fried. My blue cheese dressing was homemade and creamy with no overpowering taste. We had perfectly seasoned, and cooked, sirloin and petite filet steaks. I could see before ordering that the sides were huge so I stuck with the traditional baked potato. No disappointment there. The decor was an old school white paneling with black trim. The ladies room had a french feel to it with chic shoes as a theme. If I lived in Orlando this would be on my regular rotation.

Fantastic steaks. I came to Orlando, Yelp'ed for a steakhouse, and my buddy and I were blown away with the steaks here. This place has a nice, relaxed old-school atmosphere with reasonable prices, but the food did not dissapoint. The filet and NY Strip were cooked perfectly and seared with the right blend of spices. You order steak, and you get a big white plate with a big chunk of meat in the middle. Awesome. Don't miss this place.
