Keke's is always a treat, just don't expect to walk in and directly sit down unless you come on an odd day and hour. On the occasions I do get in the door the food is always great and the servers are always fast and helpful. I love the egg white omelets and my boyfriend loves the Florida pancakes. We would likely be in every Sunday morning if the wait was not out the door, but just like they say: good things come to those who wait.

Waffle was cold and chewy, it was like they heated it up in the microwave but I know they couldn't have done that as it wasn't warm enough to melt butter. Syrup is one variety, sugary maple style you can buy cheap at Walmart (and perhaps they do). Home Fries were thinly sliced, overcooked potatoes that stuck together because of the grease. Sausage was the same as if I had bought cheap links and fried them up at home. Eggs were as ordinary as you could get (which makes them the best thing on the plate). Coffee is of the weak style, not marking them down for that, some people like that (I don't) but just know that is what they serve. Service was OK, leave your empty coffee cup on the edge of the table and after a few minutes your server will notice it and refill it. 8 oz cups, so this will need to be done a few times if you are used to having a mug or two with your breakfast. No way I will go here again. Premium price for poor to ordinary is not my idea of "let's go to breakfast".

Trendy. Honestly not at good as the awesome places that were similar but better in Miami. Go to TooJays across the street for a better taste and better value. They're not trying to be anything, TooJays just is awesome. You can bring a date here to possibly impress her though. Service was slow for me and the wait time for a table took a long time.

Last time I was here was my first time and I got something off their menu item. I wanted to go ahead and finally write a review after I had eaten what they are known for: breakfast! So last week I stopped by for breakfast at around 10:30am. It was a weekday and I had usually avoided this place because I heard stories of the long wait but we were seated after 20 mins. My friend was telling me how good the stuffed french toast was so I got the raspberry stuffed french toast. Our server pointed out that we can do a combo that comes with 2 sides for like $1 more. $9.99 total. Sounded good to me so I got potatoes and eggs as my sides. I was really disappointed they don't have hash browns as that is my favorite breakfast item but oh well. The food itself was great, the eggs were ordinary but the French toast was nice and not dry with sprinkled confectioners sugar on top. The service itself was fast. I remember I had class that day and was in and out in about an hour and a half. Perfect way to start my final semester!

I was ordering to go and was craving for something with cream cheese. I don't like French toast and I was hoping they have pancakes or waffles with cream cheese. They didn't have it on the menu but I still asked. The person in front said there's nothing with cream cheese except the stuffed French toast. I asked if she can ask the kitchen if they can customize a pancake for me. She told me no and said what they have in the menu is what they serve. So since I had my palette set on something with cream cheese, I ended up ordering the stuffed French toast. When I paid her for my to go order, she had audacity to ask me if I wanted my change. I was caught off guard and I just said no when I wouldn't have given her a tip. She didn't do anything for me except input my order. As for the food taste, I give it 2-3 stars. Nothing special at all. Servings are big but it's not really good value. Maybe exact value at best. I've tried both this branch and the one in Winter Park and it's exactly the same. It's okay food.

Thanks for the poor/lack of service and don't care. In there this morning got seated. No one came by to even get a drink order. People after us got service. Told hostess but still no one. Never return again. Never recommend this crap place

Wished I would've listened to the bad reviews... Not worth $114....I could've done better myself... My vegetable omelet with extra cheese... Minced veggies can't even tell if I got all the vegetables I requested... Where is the cheese?? Florida pancakes... Where is my powdered sugar?? And my supposed to be crispy pecan waffles.... Chewy and cold..

Very boutique for a breakfast joint. Was not that much impressed with the home fries, sausage was not the kind that really has that farm taste. Okay for blended type breakfast. Just my opinion

We love this place! Service is always good and the food is made correctly on a few occasions we've visited. This is our favorite brunch place in Orlando that we've tried and would recommend this place to family and friends :)

I'm kinda surprised to see so many mediocre reviews for this keke's.. I know its always packed and the wait can be long but doesn't that tell you something?? tells me its gonna be good eats. I don't visit keke's THAT much but when i do my meal is always excellent and filling. can get a bit pricey depending on what you get though it wont always be. On my last visit here i had the French toast combo, with eggs scrambled and side of sausage. this meal is only 9.99, .50 cents for the cheese i added to my eggs made it 10.49. followed by a large chocolate milk which taste freaking amazing that cost 3.00, i cant complain too much. The french toast with a simple cinnamon powdered sugar taste amazing, absolutely love it. At the end of the day, you're gonna pay a little more here than you would at your local ihop or denny's but i mean its always gonna be Quality over Quantity in life. And at keke's, you get both. Just look at the darn pancake sizes! And if you don't want waiting to be pain. don't come starving-starving, or try to find a better time slot to come in.

Good food but just okay customer service. There's definitely a better option. First of all, I must say that I HATE bad customer service. I cannot stand it and am quick to complain when somebody treats their customers wrong. When it's busy, they won't seat you until your entire party arrives. That I completely understand, but only when it's BUSY. It was a Monday morning, there were empty tables everywhere, and two people from our party got stuck with a flat tire but were twenty minutes away. They refused to seat us. We decided to just lie and say the other two weren't coming. The lady at the front kept saying that "its corporate policy" but come on, girl. Help us out here. Our waiter, Joseph or Joshua, helped us though. He immediately apologized and added a table for us. He really saved the experience. The food isn't extraordinary. You'll get your eggs, your pancakes and bacon and you'll have a good meal! But don't come if there's a better option. Again, it's not bad, it just doesn't give you that "wow" factor.

Really disappointing and average establishment. We came here for breakfast on a Friday late morning. I ordered the Eggs Florentine, my sister got a French toast and mom got some eggs and bacon platter. The food came out and was disappointing. Everything except my moms was room temperature and wasn't fresh at all. I was also really baffled by the eggs florentine they serve. If you google "eggs florentine" is contains sautéed spinach. Every time I've ever ordered it the spinach was sautéed. They serve theirs with shredded raw spinach . Shredded into a million little pieces. Service was excellent and our server worked to fix the issues. Food wasn't so hot (no pun intended) but service was superb.

Got here a little before 9 on a Saturday AM. Hostess said 10 minutes for a table for two...pretty sure the wait was about half that ^.^ Waitress Molly C was attentive, smiling, and polite. Food was...good. Not amazing, not tastes-like-homemade. Nothing bad about it. (I had the chicken fajita omelet and a bite of companion's Belgian waffle. Maybe they shine more in the pancake and French toast department? It's a classier environment than some of the other diner type places, but I don't really need classy bright and early in the morning . And no, I am not sharing the name of my fave hole-in-the-wall diner. Muhuhuha

3 stars. Average. Solid food and entree choices. Reminds me of an upscale Denny's or Perkins. The food price is decent. I ordered eggs Benedict (classic) and it was 9.99. The reason I gave it only 3 stars was because of the service. My waiter was James T. A lackadaisical frat boy. That was slow on his feet, and chronically forgot marble syrup when asked, and to pick up the check for 10 minutes. While eating we found a hair on the plate. I didn't ask for a refund. But I did bring it to his attention. He did not offer anything to make up for it. All in all, food was solid. Quality was average and service was below par.

I frequent the Keke's in Winter Park because it is close to my house and the food and service are consistently perfect. However my girlfriend lives on the other side of town and insist that we eat at Keke's in Waterford because it is closer. Every single time I have been, which is probably getting close to 10 visits at this point has been EXTREMELY disappointing. I routinely get one of two different males servers, one of which likes to complain how hard school is or that he partied too hard the night before and that's why it took him five minutes to greet our table after seating. The other is always trying to talk while walking away from the table, doesn't know how to ask which sides dishes you want with your meal and is unfamiliar with the concept of explaining upcharges. I get the same three meat omelet at both locations, with grilled chicken, turkey bacon, and turkey sausage. It is always $2.00 more at this Keke's than the Winter Park location. On top of the miserable service of untrained whiney college students, EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gotten my food here, it has been luke warm to cold. The kitchen has absolutely no idea how to prepare tickets to sell at the same time, so they make my omelet and then it sits under a heat lamp that might not even be turned on, and then start to prepare my girlfriends french toast. So every single time, hers comes out hot and fresh and mine is eggs from 10 minutes ago. The home fries in Winter Park are large circular well cut and slightly crispy potatoes. Here, they are smashed oily bits of what seems to be the bottom scrapings of the pan. However, I can't get the bottom of the pan every time, so maybe the kitchen is just completely clueless and full of the same kind of kids that serve here. I think a training session with the Winter Park location is in order, otherwise this location should probably just be shut down so they can put another tanning salon into Waterford, it'd be more useful. It's gotten to the point today where I ate my food cold because I am so sick and tired of sending my food back to get recooked after waiting to sit for 40 minutes. I will never return to this location again and I advise you to consider eating anywhere else in the area first.

My first time back in over a year and the quality of the food has gone down. the eggs Benedict was terrible this time; I've had better at Perkins, which is sad. Service was also not as great as it was last time. The hostess needs to smile and cheer up. It's a busy place with a huge menu and a long wait. Last year I'd say it was worth the wait, but I don't think I'll be going back.

    (3)
  • Genna D.

I was very disappointed with this place. It's overpriced, the wait is far too long to make the visit worth the trip, and the food is just average. We visited with a very enthusiastic freind who said Keke's was "the best," and I completely disagree. I'd recommend going somewhere else for brunch.

i came into this place with high expectations. what i recieved was Perkins quality food. Nothing great or bad about it. i ordered the mushroom panini with roasted peppers and cheese. the peppers werent roasted, just canned and heated up. the sandwhich lacked flavor. the fries were good though! the rest of our party was not real satisfied with their meals either, eggs benedict were over done, no runny yolk at all. Big No No. they stated the wait was 25 mins and thats exactly what we waited. atleast they have that going for them.

I've always wanted to go try this place out as I always see long lines forming for this place! And I finally did! The fiance and I got there around 8ish so we were able to avoid the long line that forms around 10am. I perks of this place is that they give out HUGE portions for an affordable price! I was really shocked when I saw how BIG my portion was. I got the 2 pancake combo which I chose the florida pancakes and potatoes and tomatos as my side; with a glass of oj. It was asthetically pleasing and tasted delish! Too bad I wasn't able to touch my potato & tomato sides as after eating HALF of my pancakes...I was stuffed! And I can normally eat like a pig! There was no need for maple syrup for the pancakes as the bananas/strawberry/blueberry combination and with their butter (citrus tasting in my opinion :)) really did a good job flavor-wise! But to be honest, even though the flavor was good, I could've done this at home with some pancake mix and cut up fruit. Just a suggestion though...its best to try to finish your meal there instead of getting a to-go box for your leftovers. I did that, and I really didn't touch my pancakes, potatos, and tomatos for a while since I had a different lunch and dinner. And it wasn't looking to fine next morning (But still delish! Just had to add new bananas and such). So if you are looking to eat lunch somewhere/got a dinner to look forward too, best to get one pancake instead. It's a cute establishment, and I am sure I'll go by here one day again (but not often)! But you could basically make all of this at home (and even healthier!). I mean who wants to go drive to eat at 8am-ish while you can just stay home in your pjs and eating at home :).

Saturday morning before the rush, hardly anyone. Sat down, menu and silverware, after 10 minutes NO ONE approached us...we left after someone was served after we sat down..

Not bad but not really good either, we stopped by here for breakfast because most other places were closed. Food: We ordered Eggs Florentine & Italian Chicken Omelet. [ $10 each ] The omelet was great, good size portion and packed with flavor. Not very "fluffy" though and kind of dry, so if you're use to fluffy omelets you may want to order something else. The Hollandaise sauce on the Eggs Florentine was fantastic as well. Now the eggs were poached, however, you can tell they are using one of those silicone cups or pans made for egg poaching. The whites were very thick, like a hardboiled egg, so if you like traditional poached eggs with the delicate whites, again, may want to order something else. Eggs were a little overcooked too. Both our orders came with "home fries," which IMHO are mislabeled. What we got were thin sliced red potato, greasy, with no flavor. And the potatoes were still somehow raw in the middle. Definitely not the flavorful, crispy deliciousness that real homefries are. Unfortunately the food was also cold when it arrived on the table. Service: Ok, hostess was kind of rude. Our server was nice but seamed kind of spaced out. Atmosphere: Typical breakfast place, tables / booths are placed a good distance apart. Paint was chipping off the booth dividers where we sat, so could use an update. Will try this place again, we're always up for giving places a second chance, but the cold food and raw potatoes are kind of downer, especially for $20+ breakfast.

I've come here many times and I've never left unhappy (or hungry!) The wait time is usually pretty long, but its worth it. The portions are very big and the staff is very friendly. Also the restrooms are always clean

This was my first visit to this Keke's location, which is a 3 mile drive from my house. My previous visit was at the Winter Park location and beside the long wait time, the food was great. Today my Waffle was so cold the butter didn't melt and everything else was warm. I exchanged the Waffle for a Pancake which was over-cooked on one side. It just wasn't my day for Breakfast.

  • Patricia A.

My favorite place for breakfast around Alafaya! Apple cinnamon french toast is what I always order. The crew is friendly and the coffee is OK. Just make sure you're there early or you will have to wait a little bit for a table, specially on weekends.

    (5)
  • R P.

Way better that IHOP and Denny's for a Sunday brunch with the family. If your don't mind the wait .... stuffed French toast is the best item - and my only reason for visiting.

  • Tony Z.

Took my wife there and had a below average meal. Slow service and barely warm food. We both ordered omelets with potatoes. Both were barely warm, so we sent them back to have them remade. When we got the replacements, they were EXACTLY THE SAME. When you cook things they are HOT, not like they have been sitting around all morning under a heat lamp or on a counter. Never again. Worthless visit.

Love this place. Had their Burger Melt and it was awesome! Just wish they had longer hours. Their sandwiches are good, but their breakfast is what they are probably known for. Pancakes are huge and fluffy. I'll be back.

    (5)
  • Jackie G.

I ordered the Hawaiian omelet which was really good. It is so much food for one person though! My husband got the Florida style waffle and that was fantastic. Service is great. Just make sure you get there early as there is always a wait for a table!

    (4)
  • Sal L.

Love this place I go all the time with my wife. My favorite is the Florida Anything waffles or pancakes both are out of this world. But if you really want to be a champ you will make sure you try the banana split waffles. They get really busy during the am i recommend going sometime after 1130 for the crowd to die down but totally worth it if you have to wait.

  • Matt R.

For as highly recommended as they came, Keke's was a let down. Food was ok... ordered cheese and sausage omelet, cheese and sausage was just added on top. Home fries left a lot to be desired, they would be better off having hash browns. Service was sub par the server was not very attentive and let empty drink glasses sit, did not refill them once. For the price, overall was not worth the trip, will not be back.

  • ZANNE K.

I received a gift card for Keke's for the holiday's and my friend and I decided to try it. There was a 45 min. wait. The waiter was nice enough, the food another story. I ordered the western omelet. My friend ordered an omelet that on the menu listed it included bacon. It did take a while to get our food. Another 30 min. My friend was surprised when she received her omelet that included only bac-o bits on top. Seriously, not real bacon? We both agreed the omelets were overcooked and dry. The home fries were not seasoned and a blob of uneatable mess. I would have rather had some hash browns. For $10 I expected much more. The $2.50 coffee was good and the toast. I won't be back. Frankly, if I want a great breakfast I will have my husband make it. He can cook KeKe's under the table.

  • Rosana D.

Definitely less crowded than MILLENIA location. It was good service. I'm giving 4 stars because the potatoes where slightly undercooked. I didn't say anything because by the time I noticed half of them were gone. Overall was good.

  • Cindy M.

I think this place is fantastic as long as you come on a regular weekday where you won't have to wait hours to be seated. I have been here a few times and they have always been consistent with their food. I always order the Waffle with 2 scrambles eggs, bacon and coffee. The coffee is very good here. On the plate there's always a lot of eggs and the bacon is cooked to perfection (crispy) but the waffle is always the highlight. They are fluffy, flavorful, buttery and just amazing specially because they taste like waffle cones mmmm :) Overall a great place for breakfast or brunch again as long as you come on a day were there wait is non-existing.

Loooooooovvvveeeeee Keke's. cant go wrong with anything you order. Recently moved from NY and was very happy to find a breakfast spot with amazing food and even better service close by

Overpriced and overrated. Long wait, cold food, and bland tastes. Go to First Watch instead.

The staff at Keke's don't wear name tags. So I'll refer to them all as Keke. Hostess Keke greeted us when we came in, took our names and gave us a buzzer. I'm not sure that she gave us a wait time, but it was just a few minutes (on a Friday morning). Next Franken-Keke walked us to our table. He was a man of no words and a few grunts. Our server, Keke, was really great. She was very friendly, gave us lots of info on the menu, kept my coffee cup full (really, that's all I want before 10 am)... She even offered a coffee to go! Awesome work, Keke! I had the Eggs Benedict, which is my favorite breakfast to eat out. Mostly because I will never learn how to properly poach an egg. =(

Okay so this is the first time my wife and I visit this place. We are always looking for new places to eat and wel lets just say I think we found a new place for breakfast. The service is great and I had read in an earlier review that they are aways quick to pour you another cup of coffee before it gotten half way down. Well that's so true and also very important when you have a coffee problem like we do. (Lol) I must say that the lighting is a problem the overhead lighting is not very friendly. Total bill for breakfast $36.00 we thought that was to much for breakfast, we know for the next time.

    (2)
  • Nick W.

EXPENSIVE. The service was mediocre followed by mediocre food. My girlfriends sausage was cold. We asked for a new plate....more cold sausage. My 4 strips of bacon costing me $4.00. I believe that's a little too much for bacon. I've had better breakfast, no reason to overpay for this.

Should know better that there is always a wait for tables here. Megan was a real good server. Very pleasant considering how hard she's working. She always had a smile and met my special needs. (Menu adjustments) Great omelet and they accommodated for my special needs for my Extreme Weight Loss food plan.

I used to love coming here but it slowly starting getting worse and worse. The hostess is a nasty, rude little thing. I live down the street and just started going to the one in winter park or millennia to avoid this place now.

Definitely the best brunch spot around! Their pancakes are the best!!! They're huge and fluffy and made perfectly everything I've ever tried here at Keke's has been delicious, I've never had a complaint! Even the coffee is good!! Also for how busy they usually get, the wait isn't too bad, they definitely get it moving!!

  • Melanie R.

I've only had breakfast here. I love the waffles and French toast. Pancakes are too big. The food portions are large but I like them that way. I had a few types of one let's and all of them were delicious. Food could be hotter though. Sometimes it's just not hot enough.

I suppose you can't show up at a brunch place on New Years day and expect to be seated right away, so I will say upfront it is not the 30 minute wait time that I find objectionable (though after my experience here, I will also say that between the sub par food and the inflated prices, I am not sure what it is exactly that people are willing to wait this long for). We had a party of seven, two of which were running a few minutes late. Our buzzer buzzed to let us know that they were ready to seat us, but at that point we were informed that Keke's "does not seat incomplete parties", so we had to wait an additional ten minutes. Now I understand that one must follow corporate policies if one wishes to keep one's job, however I don't think that called for the surliness and nastiness with which our hostess delivered this bit of information to us. Especially since there was no signage anywhere to indicate that this was going to be a problem. Once seated, our waiter was friendly and fairly accommodating (although he too mumbled something about "corporate policies" in a worried bordering on panicked tone which really makes me wonder what sort of dictatorship these poor people work for. I'm envisioning corporate floggings). We glanced over the menu and noticed that the prices seemed rather high ($5 for oatmeal? Are they aware how cheap this stuff is and how easy it is to make?), ordered our meals and though there was a bit of a wait - understandable, the place was absolutely packed - it was nothing out of ordinary. The food arrived and after a few bites we unanimously agreed. We had seven platters of "meh". The pancakes tasted as if they were made from bisquick, the sausages were puny and tasteless, the bagel, well, forgive me. Lenders or that other grocery store brand are *not* bagels. They are like compressed, Wonderbread shaped like a bagel, but that does not a bagel make. If you don't have the real thing, then I don't think you should even be serving them. The omelets were okay. Just okay. But not $10 or $12 worth of OK. Maybe the french toast is amazing? There seems to be about a million different kinds of it on the menu. I can't eat sweet things that early in the morning, I think it's kind of gross. Like, here, have a bag of candy for breakfast. Ugh. If it's the french toast that people wait in 30 minute lines for...well, I'll pass. I cannot think of a single reason to come back to this place, other than our waiter. And for his sake ... I really wish he would go work somewhere else.

  • Patti M.

For the prices this place charges you would think they would serve real maple syrup with their waffles and pancakes and not the corn syrup crap. I guess that passes in the south. Blech! I did enjoy my granola waffle which was cooked perfectly but would have been much better with maple syrup. I was less than impressed with being charged a whopping $2.45 for a teeny cup of subpar tea. Starbucks charges only about 20 cents more for a 20 oz Tazo tea (which is full leaf tea--that means REAL tea). Our server (who was nice enough) didn't even fill up my cup all the way. My friend was charged $4.00 for a side order of homefries that lacked flavor (homefries cooked without onions???? NO WAY!) Then there was the awful Musak playing in the background.....bland watered down versions of Elton John songs. Gaaah! Sorry---I won't be joining the throngs who think this is the best breakfast ever. It was decent but most certainly not worth the steep price.

KeKe's is a well known local establishment and all of the locations around Orlando are extremely busy and nearly impossible to get into without a wait especially Sunday mornings. I arrived with some friends after church so approx 10:30ish and had about 30 min wait which I thought was pretty reasonable considering how many people were waiting for a table. I'm not a huge breakfast food fan (yes I know I'm weird) but I really enjoy the chocolate chip waffle and I have them add banana too it...which makes it completely healthy in my book. The portion sizes are huge so if you scoff at the idea of ordering one pancake or one waffle..well they are the size of a plate and definitely more than I can eat in one sitting. Service is always friendly...honestly not too memorable but they make sure to refill my coffee promptly so that is enough for me. Parking at the Waterford location is no problem since its in a strip mall so if you are deciding between this location or Winter Park then I'd say save yourself the headache of getting in an out at the Winter Park spot.

I really enjoy breakfast foods. I usually bore myself during the week with healthy oatmeal, not so healthy cereals and egg muffins. The weekends are where breakfast is at! Keke's has turned into my weekend breakfast place of choice. The service is always friendly, my water always stays full, my coffee never tastes burned. I like to holler at them pretty regularly. My only issue is the wait. They are sooooo popular that it's at least a 25 minute wait any time I go. And no, I am not waking up extra early to beat the crowds! It's just the price I will have to pay! What can I say about the food? Hmmmmm. Well, I am a pancake fanatic and I can only eat one of their HUGE pancakes. I remember the first time I went and thought "oh yeah, I can totally down two of those huge pancakes!" WRONG! I was so, so wrong (I can eat too!). I like their pancakes a lot so it is usually what I order. I have also had their Greek omelet and that was delicious too! It had plenty of feta cheese in and on it, personally the more feta the better! I don't usually get anything else, I don't know if that's a bad thing. But I found pancakes that I loooove so I'm sticking to them! So, good service and delicious pancakes! What more can a girl ask for?!

Well, I haven't eaten breakfast here yet because I usually only eat breakfast on the weekends and that just happens to be the time when the wait is always out the door. I did stop in for lunch and I enjoyed my meal, a Ham & Turkey Club [see photo] on rye with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was great, and the fries were cut pretty thick. Overall a very filling meal for $10, which seems about right. The service was attentive, and we were in and out pretty quick. One of these days I'd like to try it for breakfast, but definitely not when I have to fight the crowd.

Making this review for the Keke's Waterford Lakes. Been to Longwood and Winter Park a lot and know their menu by heart and we love the food. But this particular branch had a subpar customer service. Waited 40 minutes when they said it was 20. I had three hungry little boys and I understand I had to wait but we had waited longer than told. Still that was ok. When we were called they asked if we were complete. I said yes because my husband was literally right next door and I just said I'll just order for him I know what he wants. They said they're sorry but they can't. I asked for the manager and tried to appeal because I had 3 young ones really hungry after the extended wait and that I guarantee I'm ordering for everyone already. I understand if we are in a group where people don't arrive but we were a family and I order for everyone and they just said we can't do that. You'd think for a family restaurant they'd understand that but they completely didn't show like they cared. I own a business and understand company policy but I also understand when to be flexible and when it's the difference between general guidelines vs company policy. This wouldn't have hurt their bottom line nor set a precedent to other customers because everyone actually looked like they felt sorry for my kids. They would've looked like heroes. The one waiting in line after us even said "that's so ridiculous" when he heard the manager be so stoic after I told him I'm ready to order for my husband who's just in the next door store and who I called and confirmed was walking and arriving in literally one minute. But he kept saying they can't and we're going to give our spot anyway. I've never seen such a blatant lack of customer service or flexibility to empathize with families. This is my first time writing a review ever and it's only because I want to warn families to save yourselves from horrible service and hopefully so their upper management can train their people better to not be robots but have compassion and to actually make it feel like "my hometown diner" because it sure didn't feel like one.

I had the summer waffles I think? It had fresh fruit and whip cream on it. Ordered a side of turkey bacon and sausage . Waitress suggested that I just get the combo so it came with scrambled eggs. Everything came out lukewarm to cold. Nothing hot. The waffle was good but the temperature of the food kinda sucked. 25 min wait on a sat morning which I expected. The waitress was really polite :) Overall the presentation and menu is good but temp of food is sub par.

The boyfriend surprised me and took me here on a Sunday morning. If you go early enough, the place is nice and quiet with all the lovely, older crowd there. I loved our waiter, he didn't bother us and didn't rush us when he gave the bill. I got the french toast with fresh strawberries on top and my boyfriend got the waffle with fresh blueberries. These are thick pieces of french toast and waffles, we didn't finish our food because all that dough filled us up. Nonetheless, it was delicious!! We will definitely be coming back here to try the savory part of the menu.

A popular place for breakfast based on the number of people waiting to be seated. The restaurant is only opened from 7:30am to 2:30pm for breakfast and lunch. My experience and the food served reminds me of a diner.

So, as a visitor of Florida, our Orlando friends swear by this yummy breakfast joint. It was pretty crowded so we did have to wait about 15-20 minutes at peak breakfast hours. Once we were seated and our drinks were ordered, I didn't have to look at the menu to know what I wanted. Egg Benedict. My favorite breakfast to splurge on when I travel. My sister ordered the banana caramel french toast. Not sure why food took awhile to cook...because it was busy? It was about a 15-20 minute wait for our food. When it did finally come out I was soo excited/hungry to eat. I split my order with my sister and she split hers with me. Mm, french toast. I forget how yummy they are. Especially with banana and when you add bacon to it as well. Mapley and baconey. *Insert Home Simpson's drool soundbyte* The egg benedict was good, not exceptional... I might not be an egg benedict guru, but the hollandaise sauce was a bit tangy/sour? It kinda threw me off. Regardless I killed it anyway. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, the waitress was great, the food was good, minus the wait.

Menu wider and deeper in cool choices than the mighty Mississippi, this place has some really interesting breakfast choices. The food was incredibly well prepared, the orange juice some of the best that I've had anywhere, and the coffee was top-drawer!

Wtf... okay had a wait time of 35 minutes. ..of which we were 4...except 4th guest didn't arrive just yet. . Well Unknown to us our 4th guest had to be present at the time table is ready now otherwise our table will be bumped...like the freakin airlines...seriously so I said guest will be here in 2 minutes they will sit with us.. well we're told that guest will not be served if they are not here now and it's a corporate rule.... Wtf. According to corporate it's a rule. ..oh your food better be that fucking good cause my next post is going to be a review on food and service...already your point person didn't impress me at all. This better be good nor this better be GREAT. Okay not completely impressed. Waitress was good. Food was like any other breakfast place and little pricey. ..4.00 for large oj from a container. ..no big deal...probably will not go there again...well definitely corporate

This breakfast place was totally overrated. The eggs were cold, and the roasted potatoes were soggy or undercooked not a good combination. I was really disappointed in my meal.

Always tasty breakfast. Usually a line to get in. They are only open morning and lunch time. The portions are very large so be prepared to eat or bring food home. I love the pancakes or the waffles and you can pretty much make anything into a combo for an up charge.

So every time I come to Orlando, I've tried to go to keke's based on the good reviews. Today I was able to make it in. Since it was on a monday, there was no wait. No let me make this short and sweet.... For 3 adults one child, bill came out to $51.00. Prices I thought were high compared to other places. Decent portion. Took a while to get our food out. Our server was at least tentative. Food was alright in flavor. I asked my family what they thought overall and we all agreed: 3 stars. That includes food taste, ambience and customer service. Not a place I would tell other people" omg you have to go to keke's. I doubt I'll go again.

Love the breakfast here! Came here and tried the Steak Cheese Omelette and their banana chocolate chip pancakes! The steak cheese omelette was fantastic! The steak had lots of flavor and the side of pan fried red potatoes was great! Very tasty!!! WARNING: Do not order a full order of pancakes. They are HUGE! I couldn't even finish one by myself... A regular order comes with three pancakes. If the waiter doesn't warn you before hand, make sure you order just 1 or 2 because they are thick and enormous! (that's what she said) This is my favorite breakfast place! The waiter was very good and gave us the heads up on their pancakes so we didn't end up wasting the other 2 pancakes and paying more...I hate when that happens! They are open everyday 7:00 a.m. til 2:30 p.m..

I am in love with this place. I am finally a regular here and i want to be king! Everything on the menu is delicious, well at least everything i have ordered so far is! Do not skip out on brunch and give this place shot. I recommend the stuffed french toast (any).

Not impressed. The food was average at best. The service was subpar. We desperately needed more water but our server never checked on us after the food was delivered. The oil the eggs were cooked in was not good. I was not a fan of their home fries either. The French toast was pretty good. The price was average. I will probably never go back. First watch is better.

This is a really nice restaurant- I love the decor and generally the service is good. Their waffles are not so yummy though, I would recommend avoiding- I've ordered them twice at this location and they're cardboardy. Try the Scrambler bowl or a sandwich, very yummy!

I would like inform you about my Waterford lakes location experience. I have been to kekes before but it was my sister's first time, I said they had the best eggs Benedict and coming from a family of people who cook for a living, that says something. What I thought would be an epic experience in my mouth turned sour after the first 10 minute of being in the restaurant. We were greeted politely and promptly. I asked if we could get a to go order and the young black haired hostess said yes it would be 15-20 minutes and asked if we wanted to see a menu. We quickly decided that eggs Benedict was the way to go with home fries. I asked the red headed who was taking our order if we could get the eggs poached longer for the yolk to not be running. The hostess replayed yeah and asked the other hostess with the black hair where the button was to let them know. She replied we can't do that we can do a hard egg instead. My sister replied you could cook it in the water longer and it wouldn't make the yolk run. She shook her head and the manager appeared around the corner. The manager was listening and also jumped in to say that he couldn't poach the egg longer but could do a fried eggs. I said "really?" because I had eaten at different kekes and they all were willing/able to poach the egg longer. We dropped the subject knowing it was a losing battle since there was no way we could get the eggs the way we wanted. My sister looked up you're philosophy to understand the company and it's values: "An outstanding breakfast experience is not measured by food alone. We know that our staff and friendly atmosphere make a guest's overall experience even that much better. Guest satisfaction is our goal; we want you to have an exceptional experience from the moment you walk in our doors until the moment you leave." The Waterford lakes location is not following you're philosophy about excellent customer service like you're other location my sister has been to, such as Millenia and Altamonte. As a customer this incident made me feel more like a check off the list then a person wanting great food.

Looking for breakfast or brunch in the Waterford Lakes? Why not here? Keke's (Kevin and Keith's) from what the story is. This is a locally owned chain of eats. Sort of set in a trendy style breakfast cafe it is a departure from your typical Florida breakfast dive. I love those too, don't get me wrong. Keke's has traditional breakfast foods, albeit no grits (I have to verify if that is legal in FL). Breakfasts range from oversized pancakes, waffles, eggs, omelets. Lunches include wraps, sandwiches, and other typical offerings. The staff was super friendly. We arrived at 9am but it started to really pick up after 10. They are only open from 7 - 2:30 you know. There are other restaurants in the Orlando area too. The prices are slightly higher than most other breakfast joints around, but not exceedingly high. Less than $10 a plate for most items. Overall, a good place to grind on some breakfast.

Love me some brunch! We have been here twice and luckily we haven't waited more than 20 minutes for a table. We've had the portobello and red pepper eggs benedict and I've been very tempted to lick the plate but I was able to control myself. They are so good!! The eggs are cooked perfectly and the portobellos and sweet red peppers give a great kick to this classic dish. We have actually tried the regular eggs benedict but did not liked them as much. Two eggs come with each order with a side of their delicious house potatoes so I recommend you share. And the french toast is mmmmmm so thick and fluffy. It doesn't need any ridiculous toppings. A little bit of butter and a little bit of syrup. Perfect!

This place is always busy on weekends, so expect a wait. Fortunately we came here on a Tuesday morning. Seated right away and our waitress was pleasant. Good was delicious. I had the fruit French toast, scrambled eggs and home fries. Proportions are big. Would have been okay with just the French toast.

First of all, our server, Paola, was incredible - and a great personality to boot. Strawberry waffle ordered with the strawberries and whipped cream on the side - huge bowl iLife strawberries and another piled with whipped cream. Omelets are very good. Definitely a breakfast worth coming back for.

This place was serene, very modern and big windows. The staff was professional and courteous. I enjoyed my experience there and ordered Egg Whites and Vegetable Wrap with Small Fruit Cup. The omelet was huge, which was worth the price. I had no complaints at all about Keke's. Their prices were a bit on the expensive side for breakfast, but the food was good enough to make me "forget" about the bill. I definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast in Waterford Lakes area. This is not the Best of Orlando's breakfast joint, but it will work at the crack of the dawn ;)

Sometimes when I wake up, I think of what I want eat or breakfast on my day off with my SO. The first that comes to mind is bagel boys an then this place. Since we cannot go to bagel boys which is to far since we moved ,this place is working just fine. The prices are pretty high but you definitely get your money's worth. Everything we ate was perfect. The French toast was so fluffy and syrup which I've read some reviews about was good too. Service was there at the right times and we were in and out within 15-20 minutes for a quick bite. Will visit again on our days off for breakfast.

This place gets 4 stars simply on the volume of food they put on your plate. Everything was very tasty but not incredibly good... it didn't have my eyes rolling back in my head. That being said, all in my party did a pretty good job in consuming the food that was put in front of us. I had the Pecan pancakes. The pancake order comes with three however my server advised I'd be better service to order less. I took her advice, ordered two and only ate half... next time I'l stick to one. Initially we had a 20 minute wait for a table. I can't take anything away for service when they are jumping...

I've heard good things about Keke's, so when me and my friend were driving around looking for a place to get breakfast, we decided to try out this place out. The menu reminded me of first watch a little, but specializing more in pancakes and french toast. I was overwhelmed by the choices but wasn't in the mood to get stuffed, so I just went with a large breakfast salad and my friend got the strawberry french toast. Both entrees were fine, but that's all. The coffee was pretty good. However, the biggest gripe I have about this place is that they drop the check off about 5 min after you get your food. Personally, I think it's rude because I don't want to be staring at a check while I'm eating and it makes me feel rushed. It was also a cue for our server to no longer need to be attentive since we got our check. She no longer came to check on us and refill drinks/coffee. I don't think I'll be coming back here. The average food doesn't outweigh the lacking service.

Overpriced menu with mediocre quality. If you want a high quality breakfast, go to First Watch - better food than Kekes at a lower price. If you want to save money, go to IHOP/Denny's - similar quality to Kekes for a fraction of the price. Avoid the omelettes. They're really unimpressive, not well constructed. French toast was a small portion with no sides for $9 and up.

Service wise, they tend to be pretty friendly. However there are several issue I had here. The drinks have no refills for one. I don't see myself spending a ton on drink refills. The pancakes were filling but just ok. Rather pricey if you ask me.

Ahhh, Breakfast at Keke's. That good that they almost should make a movie out of it too. Since being in college up there, this was hands down my favorite spot to come for breakfast. Only open until 2:30 everyday, it's a rush on the clock to get there for the best hangover cure around, or just a pleasant Sunday brunch. Their menu is extensive, offering both breakfast and lunch. I am a breakfast girl so there won't be any comment on the lunch food because it's just not been ordered on my part. But oh my, the breakfast is delicious. Whether it's their banana-chocolate chip pancakes, french toast, or my personal favorite the omelets', I really have loved everything I've ordered. My favorite is the greek omelet with feta cheese, tomatoes, and spinach. The substitution options are great. For toast, you can have wheat, rye, white, cinnamon raisin, or an english muffin. For your eggs, you can swap them out for egg whites or egg beaters. Homefries can be swapped for bacon, sausage, or tomato slices (but pre-warning you, the homefries are to die for here...don't even like them normally but can't get enough of them here). Another few perks, their coffee is one of my favorites served in a restaurant, and their service has never been disappointing. Only reason I didn't give five stars is that it is a bit pricey for a casual breakfast place. Yes, the portions are a great size. The omelet itself comes with toast, homefries, and eggs the length of your plate, but be careful about what substitutions you make because it's an extra up-charge for certain ones, and not necessarily a cheap one. Overall, love this place and try and visit whenever I go up to Orlando at one of their locations up there! Until next time Keke's....

My fiancé and I visited the Waterford Lakes location when we were in FL on vacation. We both LOVED this place, and plan to come here whenever we are vacationing again. We wish we would have discovered this place earlier in our trip. The service was great, and the restaurant decor is bright and cute, but best of all their food is AMAZING! We loved literally every single thing we ordered off of the menu... including the side dishes which tend to get over looked. They also seriously have the BEST orange juice I have ever had. We don't tend to get super amazing fresh squeezed orange juice in the Midwest, so this was seriously such a delight to us. We frequently reminisce about this restaurant, and cannot wait until we have the opportunity to come back!

  • Wes D.

The food is great, the amount of food is huge, price is fair for what you're getting. Only bad part about this place is, everyone knows about how good is it! Therefore it will normally have a decent wait to get seated.

  • Bunny N.

I went here on a weekday at 7:30AM, so we were the first ones in the restaurant. We were immediately greeted at the door and seated, as they were waiting for us. The restaurant was very clean and everything looked new. Not sure when this place opened up for business. Service was great, and the coffee mug was never half empty.... it was always filled by the friendly server. I had the portobello eggs benedict. Yummm! The food was great, and presented beautifully. The portion was good for the price. Will be going back for a nice breakfast soon!

I really don't know what to make of this place. The food was pretty decent, but the service just plain wasn't. Unless of course you think breakfast is the kind of meal that should take over an hour. I ordered the "Eggs Portabella" ($9.99). They came with a nice pile of home fries, and were pretty delicious I have to say. Not the best thing I've ever had, but the kitchen staff did a good job in preparation and presentation. Sadly, it seems only the kitchen is running at full steam. We went in on a weekday, about 1030am, so the place wasn't packed. We were seated, and waited about 5 minutes for our server to arrive. We place our drink order and food order, since we'd had time to look over the menu. We didn't see that guy again until we were done eating. Lucky for us, the table next to us apparently had one or two off-duty employees sitting at it, it seems that literally EVERY person who was working stopped by for a few minutes to chat with them. Really fun to watch a staff member get the attention of every other staff member, while we received none. Drink empty? Check. Time to refill? Over 8 minutes and two reminders from us. Even the manager(s?) stopped by to chat with the next table, took a nice glance at ours with my empty drink, made eye contact, went back to the servers station and joked around with the staff. Basically, I would give the food 3-4 stars, definitely a good breakfast option. But be prepared to wait. And wait. And wait. I'd give the service 0 star, you'll have more prompt courteous service at a Taco Bell drive through. Don't flag down the manager to complain though, he's busy screwing around with his staff instead of running the restaurant. Kind of hard to hope for an improvement when the bosses don't seem to care. So guess what? I don't either. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

A few of my friends and I stopped by here for breakfast when we were on our way back to South Carolina around new year's. And let me tell you, it was crowded! You know a place is good when that's where all the people go. I ordered the Bar-B-Que chicken breast omelet--and it was delicious! Not to mention it was a huge portion. I had to share some with my friends in order to finish it all. I don't remember if it came with a side of home fries, but I know I subbed something out for a side of fruit. It cost a bit extra, but it was worth it. I thought it'd be a small cup of canned fruit--but it was all fresh! There was a whole banana sliced up, strawberries that were sweet and only slightly tart, large and firm blueberries (not a sour one came up), and firm red grapes. I really wish the franchise expanded to South Carolina. Whenever I visit again, I'm definitely going back.

My first thought when looking at the menu at Keke's was, "whoa. this place is kinda expensive!" I mean, seriously - the place charges $4 for a side of bacon or sausage. To me, breakfast should be a cheap, or at least inexpensive meal. My wife and I should be able to get both of our meals for about $10-15 (not accounting for those occasional mimosas or bloody marys) - and at most breakfast spots, that's not a problem. Keke's is definitely a pricier breakfast. Sure, you can eat a bit cheaper like I did. I got a more simple couple of eggs with some toast and hash browns for about $6. That was within my more acceptable price range. My wife, however, decided to try one of their omelets, which after the upcharges for egg whites-only and fruit instead of toast, came out to about $13. But here's where it all goes right: the portions were big, and the food was delicious. The eggs were all perfectly cooked. The hash browns were chopped a bit uneven, so a few pieces were undercooked, but nothing enough to complain about. My wife loved her omelet. The biggest surprise, however, was the side of fresh fruit. At so many places - including many of those other breakfast spots - a side of fruit would be a small amount of melon (cantaloupe and maybe honeydew) and a few grapes. This was a large pile of fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, apple slices and grapes - and everything was very fresh. Service here was quick and friendly. The manager was roaming around checking in with tables to make sure that everything was ok - though he never stopped by our table for some reason. Yeah, we paid more for breakfast than we had expected to when we first walked in, but we also got a much better breakfast than we expected to and honestly, the quality matched the price. Still, due to the higher price, I doubt we'll make this our "go-to" place for breakfast, but I won't complain if anyone suggests we go back.

Okay, so this place has great breakfast. Let's just get that out of the way. The food is delicious and the portions are ridiculously enormous. I got the Florida Pancakes - three BIG pancakes topped with blueberries, strawberries, and bananas. I literally couldn't stuff another bite in my mouth and I still had two full pancakes to bring home with me. Keke's is definitely a place you might want to split a meal with someone. The only problem I really had was that it was a bit pricey for breakfast. Waffles for 12 bucks? Doesn't sound toooo bad, but I am a broke student so that is a little on the steep side. Also, if you order a hot tea, they give you one cup of hot water and one tea bag for $2.50. If you want more, expect to pay another $2.50. I much rather like places that give you a little caddy with a few teas to choose from so you can have a couple of cups. All in all, I would say this is a great place to go for a special occasion breakfast or just to treat yourself. Beware, it gets UBER busy over the weekend... so head in early or expect a bit of a wait.

  • Mariacristina R.

I can see how the service could be hit or miss - it's a pretty busy place. But the waffles are consistently good, no matter the location. I always get breakfast when I head to Keke's and usually go for the waffles. It's hard to believe waffles, which doesn't seem like a complicated or special process, would be such a big draw. But they're fluffy, delicious and have great toppings!

  • Justin B.

Always a wait so it must be good! And it is! Nothing outrageous or over the top, but I have never had a bad experience at any keke's I've been to. The portions are huge so there will be a need for a box if you're interested. The service is great.. I would complain about the wait, but that's not the fault of the restaurant. They have plenty of seating, just a high demand lol

My wife and I wanted to try this place out and was looking forward to it. However it did not take long to be very disappointed in the joint. The wait was long, the server was annoying, and the menu was complicated. But the big issue for us was that the food was very over priced, by the time we would have ordered a full breakfast for two with tip it would have cost us nearly $40 plus . We left and WILL NOT be back!! Oh and we ended up at a local IHOP and got way better food and great service with a great price!

I have been here a few times already and service has been great! The prices are moderate and they are a kid friendly restaurant. The French toast was to die for and I love their coffee. Not too strong for me. Overall great breakfast experience! Will be returning.

It is a good breakfast place. Overpriced, but good. An omelete with home fries and toast and a cup of coffee was around $14 with tip. If you are a breakfast snob, this place will work for you.

  • Chris S.

Whomever says the food is not good here is a complete moron. The food is always good... from the omelets, french toast and pancakes. I've not once been disappointed with the service or food at this joint. What you will get disappointed on is the wait time. Even if you get there at 9 AM expect to wait a bit if you are a party larger than 2. There is a reason people wait there sports fans.

  • Rob N.

Not quite as tasty or as comfy as other Keke's in Orlando. A little loud, often very busy, and the food is ok but nothing to write home about. Pancakes were a little on the dry side and the eggs benedict were let down by some sub par sauce.

  • Stephen C.

I went to the one on Alafaya Trail. Been there several times and they are a great place for breakfast. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I really didn't care for their lunch. The staff is always friendly and the place is very clean and has a nice decor/atmosphere. So, if your looking for a place for breakfast, I would definitely recommend going here. If your looking for lunch, go somewhere else. LOL

This place was nothing like how I pictured it. After seeing a few advertisement, I was dieing to stop by and give this place a try. The pictures of their food looked beautiful and creative. When I arrived, I ordered banana chocolate chips pancakes. The wait was longer then I'm used too but it did not bother me. The server was very good about check up on us. When my pancakes did arrive the display was hideous. It was two over sized pancakes with a small amount of chocolate and sliced banana thrown in the middle. Overall it looked silly. Nothing to match up with the pictures they advertised. The pancakes were fine. They were delicious but not enough to justify the price. I ended up throwing out half of my food because there was to much. Normally I would togo but, microwaved bananas did not sound appealing. I thought this place would be more focused on quality of food over quantity. I may have built up the wrong impression of this place. If I had known that I would be getting a lot of food at an OK quality I would have went to Denny's or IHOP for a better price.

Best breakfast potatoes and bacon. Not the best pancakes ever, but that's fine. :)

Overall: Cute brunch joint. Yes the wait is long, but the food is worth it! Their menu is packed with breakfast and lunch items from waffles to wraps, from healthy to the extremely indulgent. Since it is the New Year and I am trying to drop a couple pounds, I got the Two Egg Combo (scrambled) with a fruit cup (instead of home fries) and an English muffin. It was pretty good, but I am glad my boyfriend ordered the home fries because I had to sneak a taste. Delicious!

Came on a Sunday, and not surprisingly there was a long wait and almost as long wait for food. I got the Florida waffle, which was good, but definitely not the best waffle I've ever had. Very difficult to cut and not that impressive. Home fries on the other hand were very good, as was my boyfriends philly cheesesteak omelette. Might go back, but there are honestly better breakfast places for a better price in the area.

I am a sucker for breakfast & brunch finds... So when I tried KeKe's Breakfast Cafe' I found love on a plate & I can admit, it became my weekly breakfast, brunch & lunch spot ;o) Yes I can OD like that sometimes.... Don't judge me. The crazy about it is that the 1st time I went to KeKe's I went to the Mall at Millenia location and it was sub-par and the menu was not appealing, so when I took a "taste run" at the Alafaya location I was pleasantly surprised. I went on a Uber-Busy Saturday morning, which had an extensive wait time, but once my Portabella Mushroom Panini for $9.49 (w/ onion rings up charge) arrived with grilled portabella, pesto sauce, roasted red pepper and provolone the wait time was worth it. The panini was great - it had flavor balance & perfect amount of ingredients but word of advice ask the waiter to make sure it is toasty because the crunch makes all the difference when it comes to a panini. Okkk Since I jumped right into the lunch side of things, let me share some of their yummy breakfast items - which definitely qualifies as #PrettyFood. With a creative selection of stuffed french toast, I had to try the Banana, Nut & Caramel Stuffed French Toast w/ Banana, pecans, cream cheese topped with caramel and powdered sugar for $8.99. The upside is that it taste O-mazing but the down-side is that the portion sucked because it was waaaayyy to small. And for all my meat-lovers rejoice because they have created an omelet just for you - meat inside & out. I present to you the Three Meat Omelet with bacon, sausage and ham with American cheese for $9.99. So if you're looking for a clean, service-oriented dinning experience with straight-forward food selection opened 7am - 2:30pm then KeKe's Breakfast Cafe is a spot you have to try.

What a great breakfast spot. Ordered the pancake combo with potatoes and ham. My daughter ordered the eggs Benedict. The spuds were a little greasy but cooked spot on and very tasty. Ham was tasty, charred not burnt, not too salty and tasty. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly an the hollandaise was good. Got it on the side just in case the kitchen was tempted to drown the eggs. It's hard to hold pancakes to any standard since its such a basic item, but these were huge and so tasty! I made the mistake of ordering two. Again... Huge! Service was friendly and the coffee mug was never empty. My new favorite breakfast spot!

Good pancakes - you only need one! They're huge. I had the banana-nut version, where the bananas and pecans are cooked in with the batter. Added fresh blueberries, bananas, and pecans on top. Needed a little honey for sweetener. Would have preferred maple syrup but they don't offer the real deal, only the fake stuff. Fried potatoes were good. Sliced thin with the skins left on. Mammoth portions! You will not leave hungry. The menu is plenty large so everyone should easily find something yummy. Friendly staff, especially the waiter. Nice environment and a very good experience over all. I would definitely return!

I started hearing buzz about Keke's Breakfast Cafe a few months ago right after they opened this Waterford Lakes location. Although I don't go out to eat for brunch very often, this weekend I got the opportunity to seeing as my friend was in town to help me celebrate my birthday. I suggested we try out this brunch spot and my friend agreed. First off, as with other brunch places, do not go to Keke's on a Sunday around 11:30AM-NOON and expect to get seated right away. The restaurant was definitely full and there were a good number of people in front of us. It took a solid 20-30 minutes to get seated. Seeing as we had been at a theme park the day before, that was kind of obnoxious. However, in retrospect, I think I am willing to overlook the long wait time for brunch because the food was delicious. I decided to go with the Banana Pecan Caramel Stuffed French Toast and my friend got the Three Egg Plate. Both of our meals came out looking fresh and very well presented (I love the modern look of square plates). My french toast was very good and was just the right amount of food for a brunch meal. And I honestly did enjoy Keke's coffee as well. Because I have been drinking coffee since 13 (and I used to drink it black), I am usually difficult to please in the coffee-realm. But I was mildly impressed. I will acknowledge, though, that Keke's entres are a little on the pricey side. It was $8.99 for my french toast, which didn't come with any bread, eggs, or hashbrowns or anything like that. And they did charge my friend $4 for a side order of turkey sausage. But as a few other yelpers have said, the quality of the food does seem to match the quantity of the prices.

The waffles were cooked to perfection with a lot of variety. They even ask you if you want your bacon crispy or more in the soft side, I love it crispy but it's nice to have options.

Keke's showed up in the Waterford Lakes area and I was definitely intrigued. At first, I thought this was some kind of weird yuppie diner, and it is to an extent. However, whether or not the place looks good, their breakfast is pretty awesome. I currently get over easy eggs with a side of potatoes and a half of a ham steak and its probably one of the more scrumptious things I've eaten a while. Granted, its not super amazing awesome, but it is definitely tasty. The only reason that I give it 4/5 is merely due to the service. Service can be pretty good but heaven forbid it gets busy. I had came on a Sunday morning and service was definitely lacking. We didn't spend too long on breakfast but I know better now to make it a point not to come to Keke's on a busy day.

Been there several times for breakfast. I have enjoyed every meal. The menu is similar to First Watch, but the atmosphere is usually more relaxed.

These asshats totally fucked up my sandwich order and my side salad was AWFUL. the hubby ordered the pancakes though, and THOSE were worthwhile. for something like $6 he got 3 pancakes that were close to an inch thick each and as big as dinner plates. And very tasty. He ended up taking 2 home and having them for breakfast the next 2 days.

Let me start with the good part of my experience. I ordered a bacon, cheddar and tomato omelet. The omelet was good and was loaded with ingredients. Now,for the not so good part of my experience. I arrived at the diner around 9:45a for a business meeting with two others. By the time we got drinks and decided what we wanted to order it was 10a. I ordered an omelet, one person ordered blueberry french toast and one ordered grilled cheese. The grill cheese was on the lunch menu so the waitress informed my friend she could not order that for breakfast. The fact that the restaurant was unwilling to make a grilled cheese sandwich 30 minutes before lunch should have been an indicator of how the breakfast was going to go. So much for accommodating special requests. Since my dining partner was not able to order a grilled cheese, she decided on a bacon, cheddar, tomato omelet, however she doesn't eat pork so she requested turkey bacon. Our waitress couldn't comprehend this request and asked several times if she wanted the turkey bacon on the side or in replacement of the toast. Each time my friend replied, 'no, I don't eat pork so I want to replace the pork bacon with turkey bacon'. After the order was place, my friend stopped the waitress to make sure it was right, which it wasn't so she had to place the order again. I ordered an omelet, replacing the home fries with fruit. When my meal was delivered, it had home fries but no fruit. I was assured the fruit was on it's way, but it never arrived. Even though they forget to serve the fruit, they did not forget to charge me an extra $2.50 for the fruit. When I pointed that out, it was removed from the bill. We were in a long meeting so we stayed at the restaurant until lunch time. At 2:15 we asked for lunch menus so we could order. The waitress asked us if the order was to go because they closed at 2:30 so we would have to take the food with us. We said no and went to Crispers for lunch instead. Oh yea, for this experience, I paid over $12 for my breakfast (not including tip). I will not go back to this restaurant. The food is good, but they have no interest in trying to accommodate their clients. If I wanted this type of service, I could go to Chick-fil-A, across the street. Oh wait, Chick-fil-A is more accommodating than Keke's and is at least 1/2 the price.

Keke's really does make a big, different, and tasty breakfast for just about everyone's taste. The menu is huge and they carry everything from waffles to omelettes. Wheat bread is also available. Very close to the UCF campus. The service, if there is no wait, is exceptional. Personally, I recommend the Scrambler. Yowsa! Scrambled eggs with veggies served over potatoes. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

I don't think there is any other place better for BRUNCH at this type of price. This is like an upscale iHOP minus the dirty tables, weird people and dinner style food. It is a little bit more pricey than IHOP but I think it's well worth it.

Hubert Talavera reviewed Keke's Breakfast Cafe. Just now Until today, I had positive experiences at Waterford. Although one instance does not a tend make, this one made for a study in poor service. We were given a 30 minute estimate, so my family went to Kohls for a moment. We were called to our table within 15 minutes while they walking backand I was told they would not say me until we were all present. I challenged the hostess to the fairness of the policy, and she told me that they are INSTRUCTED to over over estimate. This traffic, of course, provides the illusion of service by under promising and over delivering. Since this was a management call, I requested a manager. The gentleman who came out had no inserts in taking to me. He stood very tall and attempted his best stern gaze to establish authority. Not satisfied, nor intimidated, by his posturing, I requested contact information for the company to which he replied: "It is in the internet, look it up." All throughout, another customer had injected herself in the conversation to the degree that I felt compelled to turn around to tell her she was not a party to the conversation. She became more agitated and Los, causing quite the scene to what had been a low vote exchange to this point. The staff note the manager did anything to defuse the situation, even after she outwardly threatened me. I went on to have my breakfast, which was delicious, as always, The food was fine, the policy and the attitude of the manager were very unpleasant. So, my recommendation to anyone thinking of dining here is: Be warned, they are busy. Even after all their time in operation, they still dont have a proper wait area, so people just have to stand around outside. Know that they overstate their wait, so dont try to make the most of the time or you are likely to be skipped. Because they are busy, management is indiferent to losing a diner, perhaps to the point of arrogance. For an alternative, I suggest First Watch.

Keke's has turned what used to be a dismal Urban Flats site into a comfortable, airy breakfast paradise. I tried the Portabella Eggs, which is basically eggs benedict and instead of the ham, you get a portabella mushroom. It was delicious! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the sauce that graced this dish was flavorful and not overly heavy like some hollandaise sauces can be. Good job, Keke's... I've been waiting to try you out and you didn't disappoint!

Seriously one of the best breakfast places to go! Quick and FRIENDLY service. The belgian waffles are truly wonderful. And they're very accommodating to customize your order (i.e whip cream on the side, light butter, milk instead of cream for coffee, etc) Get there by 10:30 am and you won't be waiting at all!

Death by giant pancakes and stuffed french toast. The portions are definitely worth the money. And the food - including the lunch menu - is yum. I had a buffalo chicken wrap once, and the Carolina salad the next time. My husband had the stuffed french toast. The french toast is definitely delicious, but it's a very slim portion. My husband was still hungry when we left. It's a great brunch place, but I'd say you can get the same service and a bit cheaper at Ihop.

I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about cause this place has average food. The waffles are actually terrible to me by many accounts and the only things that were good there were the homefries and that my waitress looked somewhat like an amateur porn star. Omelets were meh and basic breakfast dishes were disappointingly overpriced. Wish we had went to Wafflehouse instead.

You must try the chicken marsala panini with sweet potato fries. It is amazing! The service at this location is great, they are so attentive and pleasant. Oh! Make sure to have them sprinkle cinnamon and powdered sugar on the fries.

Got there when it opened at 7, second table there. Ordered the small breakfast salad (yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, honey and granola) to start with and it was amazing. Large fresh squeezed Orange juice. Had the Florida waffle which would of been worth the $8.99 price if it came to me hot and crispy as a Belgium waffle should be. Instead it was cold and chewy, only high point was the side of Bacon (4 pieces for 3.99) that was cooked perfectly. All in all it was nothing spectacular just a run of the mill breakfast place that makes big waffles and pancakes. Gave it an extra star because of the great service.

I really wanted to like this place, but in the end it was just ok. The food was served cold. My mother had to send hers back- just a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and hash brown, but the food st around and got cold before being served. Mine was cold too -pancake, eggs and bacon, but I was hungry enough to not bother sending it back. The pancake was huge, but bready and nothing special. Perhaps it would have been better with fruit or chocolate chips. Despite being a busy Sunday morning, we didn't wait long to get seated and the service was decent. In short, I'd give it another shot if I lived close, but it wasn't worth the 25 minute drive.

We had breakfast there this past Sunday. I created my own meal: 1 pancake, 2 eggs (over easy), 2 slices of bacon and a side of hash browns. The size of the meal is way too big for one person but be warned the pancakes are dense - not at all what I wanted. There are not light and fluffy - I couldn't even finish the one I had. My husband had the french toast with sausage but he said his was the best breakfast he had out in a long time. Just a little disappointed with the pancakes. We will try it again for lunch....

My husband and I went to the Waterford Lakes Location on 7/2 for breakfast, around 9:15. He ordered a waffle combo, with eggs and bacon. I ordered the apple and cinnamon stuffed french toast and a side of bacon. When we arrived, we were seated within 2 minutes. The place was full, but still had a few booths open. By the time we left, around 10:15, the benches inside were all full of people waiting. It is recommended you arrive early for breakfast! The atmosphere feels light and airy, very open and spacious. The decor was also nicely done. Simple is better in this case! We had to wait for an abnormally long time for a waiter. In fact, my husband had to flag someone down to go get our waiter. But when he arrived he apologized for the wait, took our order and returned quickly with the coffee/water. He had forgotten one coffee, but quickly came back with a second. The rest of the time, the wait service was fine, and 2 managers were constantly helping out and making sure all customers were OK. As a personal preference, I do not like extra strong coffee. This place serves it, which my husband likes. But take this into account when you order. The prices are a bit high but not so much that we wouldn't return. You do get enough to make you full, and it all tastes very good. But $3.99 for 4 slices of bacon (for example) seems a bit much. We paid a total of $34 for our meal (including tip) just the 2 of us. Just imagine what a family of 4 or more would pay. You can go across the street to TooJay's and get more food for less money. One thing I would like to see them improve the next time I visit would be the kitchen noise. We were seated just about mid restaurant, and we could still hear quite a lot of dishes crashing around at one of the waiter stations. It seemed like someone was mad and didn't care how much noise they made. Overall this is a nice, trendy place and we will return, although not often if their prices don't go down a bit to compare with places like TooJays. I am itching to try one of the omelets from the menu. They sounded good!

I like Keke's but there is nothing too spectacular about it. The Waterford location is probably the worst of the three I have visited, but still decent. The worst think is very sterile and bland decor and not enough tables that gives the place a "too empty" fill, even when busy.

Keke's is a yummy new breakfast place in Orlando! The food is yummy and the wait staff is friendly. I'm a huge fan of breakfast, and definitely don't mind paying a few extra bucks to have a breakfast like that. The breakfast potatoes are delicious! The menu has a pretty big selection of choices and the interior is friendly and inviting. I will definitely be returning.

I recently came here for a second visit and I enjoyed my food just as much as the first time I was there. However, the service this time was even worse than last time. Our server was MIA during the majority of the time, she did not check up on us until my partner was on the last bite of his omelet, refill our drinks, or even asked us how we were doing. Furthermore, she just dropped off our check while I still have 1/4 of my omelet left which I thought was incredibly rude. And what really bothered me the most was that when she returned to give us our check to sign, she didn't even thank us for our patronage or anything. She just dropped it and left. As a server, I understand how hectic and crazy it can be dealing with multiple customers and tables at a time but that was just ridiculous. Good thing the food made up for the horrible service on this visit.

i'm a sucker for a good breakfast place, and while it was a little pricey IMHO, keke's hit the spot. the menu has almost every kind of pancake/waffle/omelet/french toast creation you could dream up (well, almost). i decided to mix things up and get a combo with french toast, eggs, and home fries. the portion was just right and everything was tasty. coffee was delicious, too! while i wouldn't classify it as a "greasy spoon" by any means, they serve up an awesome, filling breakfast.

When heading to an all day outdoor festival breakfast becomes not only the most important meal of the day, but also the only real one you will probably eat until midnight (with the exception of some snacks and maybe a PB&J). On a recommendation from a local clerk I find myself walking into KeKe's Breakfast Cafe and the smells of fresh coffee, maple syrup, and sizzling bacon immediately throw my stomach into overdrive, I'm hungry and ready to chow down. I order a coffee (dark, aromatic, and strong) and open the menu, it's a little pricey and I'm a fan of getting a lot of small portions for breakfast, I like my variety. I spy a combo section and order the works ham steak, home fries, two eggs over easy, and raspberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast. This was by the far the best breakfast I have eaten all summer and the service was top notch. The ham steak was sweet, salty, and still moist when it came to the table, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the home fries were full of caramelized onions, and the French toast would turn any grown man into a kid again, absolutely delicious. Unfortunately this orgasmic breakfast experience does cost you a pretty penny, my tab was about $22 with tip and I did not order any alcohol or fresh squeezed juice, but you get what you pay for. KeKe's is not an everyday kind of breakfast place, but if it's a special occasion or you would like to impress an overnight house guest I highly recommend KeKe's.
