My first visit to Johnny Rockets. Looks like a steak and shake. The AC was off and the food is just OK. I mean it's on I drive so don't expect too much. I would not have chosen to eat there, but my son wanted a milkshke. I am not trashing this place, but I've had better.

After our dinner plans were canceled due to unforeseen events, my boyfriend and I were facing an evening thunderstorm and grumbling tummies. Our original dinner location was in the same plaza as Johnny Rockets and we made a spur of the moment decision to stop here in hopes of a quick bite to eat. We were greeted immediately upon entering and ushered to a table in the back. Our server then introduced herself and might have been the most enthusiastic person I've ever met. She took our drink orders and we put in for an order of cheese fries to share as we browsed the menu. He decided to get a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered a grilled chicken bacon sandwich. He seemed to enjoy his burger, I thought my sandwich was a little dry and they forgot to give me the cheese that I requested. It does come with an extra slice of bread sandwiched between the chicken and bacon/condiments, but I decided to forego the extra tasteless carbs. The cheese fries did make up for the sandwich however. I think the diner concept is cute and it's adorable how the servers give you a smiley ketchup with your fries. The service is on point, although it does take awhile to get your order. Think of Johnny Rockets as Steak n Shake's more expensive and less greasy brother.

We came here for lunch for a quick bite to eat. The burgers here were very decent as well as the shakes. The service was very good too. Waitress kept checking up on us and bring us refills and clean table almost immediately. Its my first visit to this location, but not to Johnny Rockets, normally they always provide good food as excellent prices and there is usually little to no wait. Shakes are large and tasty and there are many varieties available. My daughter loves it here and so do I.

I am a big Johnny Rockets fan even after working there when I was younger, but this Johnny Rockets location always smell like dirty water. My wife and I walked in and the odor hit us smack in the face, so we left after sitting for a few minutes. Five years later we went back in hopes that it is different, but it had the same smell. If you don't care for the smell I recommend ordering the chili fries. The best burgers are The Original, Route 66, and The Smokehouse. The chicken club sandwich is amazing. There is no shake that is better than the other, they are all good. Just pick your favorites flavors and go for it.

Stopped to get wife a quick lunch while she was at a convention. - 2 dogs and O-rings. - Fast service I have to say the dogs were much better than I thought dogs could be. I had a piece and was amazed ... not really a dog or a fast food fan. Cooked everything to order so can't say it's in the realm of "fast food" but it was quick and actually would go there again for a time crunch situation.

I really wanted to give this place a good review. The food is decent enough. Got some to-go a few days ago when I was here for a conference. Chili Dogs and fries were good. Went back, expecting an equally good experience. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. Our server was rude and inattentive. Felt like we were burdening her with our simple requests and that our presence bothered her. Won't go back to that location. Decent food doesn't make up for mediocre service.

So last night, some midwestern business peers and I were wandering the Pointe after a convention. We had some drinks at Adobe Gila's and I saw this place on the way through. The entire time, I was telling my group to remind me (despite the pitchers) to get a burger from there on the way back to the hotel. We arrived there to be informed that they were closing up shop. I was disappointed, but working in retail, I definitely wasn't going to make a fuss..I totally understand. However, Shawn and Jackie were fantastic and asked me if I wanted them to make me something to go. He was not only pleasant, but excited for me that he was able to fulfill that wish. Shawn then engaged with me, asked some engaging questions and created a really personalized experience. Living and breathing retail, I am both more accepting of poor service and more impressed with great service. Rhis is one of those moments that shows that great, personalized, service is still alive and well. It's not about the industry, it's about the people. Well done, Shawn, and well done to your cohort, Jackie as well. Thanks for a great burger!

We were here on a whim on a Friday night. I will admit this wasn't our first choice. We were trying to get into another restaurant but there was a 45 minute wait and I was "hangry". So we walked by this restaurant and there was not a wait so we decided to eat here. We were seated in a booth and our server was very pleasant. He took our drink orders and let us peruse over the menus. I ended up ordering off the BYOB (Build Your Own Burger) part of the menu. This must be a new option because I have never seen before. Pricing starts at $5.49 and goes up based on what you add to your burger. You pick your bread , protein(yes there are vegetarian options) and toppings. I went with a chicken burger with the usual condiments of mayo, mustard, pickles and added jalapenos and pepperjack cheese. My husband and I ordered the 1/2 rings and 1/2 onion rings as a starter to share- but probably a good idea to let server know to serve with your burgers so you don't run out before they get to your table! I enjoyed my sandwich and it was really yummy. The environment is super fun with it's 50's diner theme too...they were blasting lots of fun sing along tunes like stuff from Cindy Lauper, Madonna and the Pointer Sisters....! Our server was great and checked on us often. This place also takes the Enjoy the City coupons but does NOT take the Pointe Orlando gift cards. And we forgot to ask if they validate for parking but I'm pretty sure they don't.

My first visit to Johnny Rockets and I loved it! I did the "build your own burger" thing and I had a single burger with american cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. When this thing came out, I could tell it was messy, so I actually made a little bib out of my napkin. I looked like a complete idiot, but boy am I glad I did it because with the first bite I had condiments spilling out onto the napkin. I would have ruined my shirt with the first bite had I not made my little bid. LOL I went through about five "bibs" while I was eating my burger. It was so, so good. The best burger I have had in a very long time. Hubby and I ordered the bacon cheese fries to share. They were good, but nothing that was out of this world. I would order them again though. I also ordered a vanilla shake. I love that they bring you the extra in the shake maker thingy. Yes, I know, I went really wild by ordering vanilla. :D The shake was amazing! See, there was this little mom & pop diner in Houston, Tx that I use to visit when I'd spend the summers there with my aunt and uncle when I was growing up. While they were at work, I'd walk the couple of blocks to this diner and get a burger, fries, and a vanilla shake. Every shake I have had since then, I've compared to the shakes I would get from that little mom & pop diner because they were the best I'd ever had. I've never been able to find a shake to even begin to compare until now. When I took the first sip, my eyes opened wide and I said, "I found the shake!" I was so excited! It tasted just like the ones I remember from childhood! I couldn't believe it! Hubby knew immediately what I meant because he's heard me talk about those vanilla milkshakes countless times over the past 10 years. The only negative thing I can say is service wasn't all that great. I don't blame it on our server, he did the best he could. The problem was, they only had two servers working that night. Hopefully that isn't a regular thing. LOVE Johnny Rockets! I am now a fan and I will return again soon!

Not very impressed with Johnny Rockets. I was visiting Orlando and my friend suggested we go out for burgers. It was either Five Guys or Johnny Rockets. Being from Michigan we don't have Johnny Rockets so I was excited to try a new burger joint. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. The food was only mediocre. I got the original Rocket burger and it was overflowing with mustard, so much that it overpowered the burger. The chili cheese fries weren't that great either. They threw a smattering of shredded cheese on top of the chili. It's usually the liquid cheese and I was disappointed with how skimpy they were with the fries. Seriously, there was like eight fries on my plate. The prices are over inflated as well. I don't mind paying a little bit for a good burger but this wasn't a good burger.

When my mom suggested we grab a quick lunch here, I was hesitant. My previous experiences at Johnny Rockets have always been "meh" (overpriced food that is never worth it). I expected the same type of experience at this location, but fortunately, that was not the case! Our server was friendly, attentive, and on the ball. The food came out quickly, and was fresh. Everything was tasty, and it cost around $23 for two people. Not bad for a tourist trap location! We left satisfied with full bellies.

We were visiting family in Florida and they all had little kids so we walked around the area and found this place to be kid friendly. It's a typical burger chain.. The place was not busy for dinner and they were able to accomdate 15 of us. We all sat in three huge booths in the back. It was affordable vs the other restaurants in the area that didn't seem to be child friendly. We had one waitress I can't remember her name, but she did impressed me as she remembered all our orders I mean she didn't write anything down! She was attentive and so sweet serving the kids first and our food came out hot and fresh. Their burgers were good and you got to try the sweet potato fries. I shared with the hubby a dark chocolate Ghirardelli shake yum! Some folks ordered their chili which was ok, fries were typical, chicken tenders were fine for the kids and the onion rings had a light batter on them. You can play music on the mini jukebox at your table for a nickel. One comment was the bathroom area, it kind of smells like someone peed on the floor ick or their mop was mildewy so lost a star for cleaniness. I'd go back for the kiddies...the overall food was ok nothing that I would go out of my way for....

We love this place. It's nestled between restaurants you would easily pay $25 per person at, and we've found when the other places are busy and the wait is 1 to 2 hours (even with reservations) and you give up on trying to dine at one of the many other places. This place tastes like prime rib when your hungry at 11pm at night escorting a hungry family. This place is cool because they have a 5 cent jukebox at each booth. So we just sit there and load up old songs. Great for the kids. Food is pricier than normal, but it's I-drive and Orlando, and really not that bad. Service was very very good. Must compliment them there ! Seems like this place has turned in to our backup dining location when in O-Town.

The service was really slow even on a very slow Sunday afternoon. When you initially walk in, a big sign blocks your way asking you to wait to be seated. As we waited, multiple servers looked at us, and just ignored us. There was no hostess or anyone specific to seat us. Finally a waitress walks over and seats us. It takes a few minutes more for our drink orders to be taken and overall slow. The only saving grace is that their burgers are actually pretty decent. I had a bbq burger with onion rings and my gf had the classic. Both were juicy, tender, and flavorful. I would suggest going for the food, but be patient as you'll have a bit of a wait.

Food was good and restaurant appeared clean. Just wasn't anything special like other Johnny Rockets we have visited. Usually get the music and dancing of the staff and the small juke boxes on the tables weren't working. My kids love to put the nickels in and choose oldie songs. This could just as easily been a burger king or other burger joint. Actually those usually at least have a play area for the kids. I would pass on this one for families expecting a fun time out.

Pretty expensive for what you get. Waitstaff generally young kids trying to make a few bucks and management isn't doing much to train them. Service was at best average as was the food. Atmosphere is noisy as they are playing loud music like an old time diner.

Filthiest restaurant I can remember being in. Couple sitting next to us had to tell the waiter to kill a large roach. When we saw this, after waiting 10 mins for someone to take our order, we walked out. We just walked past the restaurant last weekend and my wife and I both agreed the managment needs to be replaced because it really is a perfect spot and no real competition around except Adobe Gila's upstairs.

Myself and three others wanted to grab something quick to eat before a Sunday afternoon movie at Pointe Orlando, and we decided to go here. It was definitely not as quick as I expected it to be. Not a drink was refilled at our table except toward the end of the meal when we asked. The side salad is nothing special - the same lettuce that you get on your burger with a touch of shredded cheese and tomatoes. My original hamburger was tasty, but that may be because I was starving by the time it arrived. The 50s theme is fun with the little jukeboxes at every table and the cute decor.

Alright this place is pretty good. I had the Houston burger which was very spicy and very nice with a chocolate peanut butter smoothie. My lady Friend had some sort of BBQ chicken and cheese sandwich thingy. Buttery and cheesy. It was all good. The location is nice. It's right in the middle of Point Orlando which puts it by some other great restaurants and shopping spots. The service was great. We gave a very specific and complicated order, and they got it right on the money. Spent about $20 for two people. All while listening to the soothing sounds of Chuck Berry. Roll over Steak and Shake and tell Mel's Diner the news. Good for lunch but I'd say Point Orlando has better options for dinner.

The food was fine .... good burgers and fries (not great, just fine). The service was ridiculously horrible. The food took forever to be delivered, after 20 minutes i was finally able to find my waiter to ask for a soda refill, and after another 10 minutes he brought it. The place was not full, and there were as many people working as there were tables. Staff was running around looking busy without accomplishing much that i could see. I have no problem with the chain Johnny Rockets, but this particular location really needs some management.

Okay, so normally I'm a big fan of Johnny's, but tonight I learned a lesson... stick to burgers. But seeing how I just had In-N-Out last weekend (BEST burgers on the planet, BTW), I decided to try Johnny's tuna melt. Big mistake! What I was presented with was something that looked like it was made on a hotplate in a coed dorm room! A thin smear of tuna squeezed between two slices of wheat bread, tossed onto a small plate and - voila! - there's my dinner! Not even a garnish pickle on the side! Oh, it did come with a small iceberg lettuce salad that was less than inspiring. Johnny's mom, Mrs. Rocket, would be embarrassed and needs to talk to her son! I wanted to return it for a burger (which was bigger and less pricey) but I was soooo hungry and didn't want to wait for them to cook it. So I made my second mistake and ate it. Needless to say, I was still hungry and I needed to hunt down a real meal. Oh, and one more thing, it would be nice to have a cold Arnold Palmer, not one without ice. But now I'm being picky. Sorry Johnny, but you really need to rethink your tuna melt! Don't charge almost $9 for a $3 sandwich and call it a meal! I'm telling your mom!

We arrived at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday night. Valet parking is $8, self park is $3, so make sure you take that into account. The place was about 85% full when we got there, and it was about 5 minutes after we were seated before we were waited on. The waiter was polite and pleasant. We were in the mood for shakes only to be disappointed by being told that their shake machine was broken. At $6 per shake, and since it is one of their "features", you'd think they'd keep a spare shake machine around. However, reading the so-so reviews of the shakes made us wonder if it was a blessing in disguise by saving us $30 (5 of us in our party). We gave our order and sat around waiting for our food. After about 20 minutes, we started to wonder what was up with the food. About 5 minutes later, the waiter came by and stated that our ticket never printed and the kitchen never got our order. We were not impressed that the waiter failed to notice our order wasn't progressing especially given that he only had 4 tables to wait on. He apologized repeatedly, but it wasn't a good impression so far. As we were sitting there fuming about the missing order, the manager came out and apologized and comp'd us some onion rings. That took the edge off and was a wise investment on her part. Once the food arrived, everything was wonderful. The burgers were great and french fries were good. All in all, it was a good meal for a somewhat reasonable price. Our family of 5 walked out with a $53 bill including tip for 4 burgers and fries, a kid's meal, and 3 drinks. You can expect good food, but expect budget level service and cutting of some corners to remain price competitve.

Johnny Rockets is a pretty generic diner-type restaurant which I would best describe as a cross between Denny's and Steak and Shake, with just a little bit more personality. I t is a fun place to go to occasionally, but it's not particularily memorable either. And since this place is in the Pointe Orlando area, where there are so many more good choices I would only recommend going to this place if you are looking for something quick and inexpensive The Good: Fun atmosphere: Like the previous review mentioned, most of the staff here look like they enjoy their job, and have a great personality. The staff here also do a great job of portraying the Johnny Rockets personality. The place exudes a 50's inspired charm, and I really have to commed the staff for really keeping this atmosphere alive. Kid friendly menu: If you have a picky eater who is not a fan of anything they can't pronounce, then Johnny Rockets fits the bill nicely. They have a nice assortment of kid's sandwiches, burgers, and of course, chicken tenders. The Bad: Inferior Shakes: This place's logo is "famous for shakes" but honestly I prefer Steak N Shake for my frozen treats. Don't get me wrong, their specialty peanut butter shake is yum, but for me they are just not as good for the money. Although their glasses are cool-looking. I like Johnny Rockets, and it is a nice fun place to go for a quick lunch with the kids while in the Pointe Orlando area. But I wouldn't go here for a night on the town or anything. Overall: 5.9/10= Johnny Generic

On my very first High School band trip during my freshman year of HIgh School in April 2004, we arrived in Orlando after a 24 hour bus ride from Philly only to find out that our hotel rooms were not yet ready, so we spent some time at Pointe Orlando (the shopping center in which this particular Johnny Rockets is located). I ate at this Johnny Rockets with 2 friends and it made the beginning of my first trip to Orlando all the more memorable. I was particularly impressed by how the waitstaff was trained to do "ketchup art" (at least, that's what I call it...) by squeezing ketchup into little cardboard trays in the design of a smiley face. Also, much to my delight, "Stayin' Alive" came on and some of the waitresses were dancing to it! They appeared to be having a lot of fun. To top it off, the fruit punch, grilled cheese sandwich, and fries I ordered were muy deliciosos. I've been to other Johnny Rockets locations, all of which had good food, but the Pointe Orlando location I will always remember because of the ketchup art and friendly, energetic waitstaff!

This is referring to the Johnny Rockets at Pointe Orlando, on International Drive. This is a great place for a fast bite to eat, but still a table service restaurant. Their speciality is burgers, and you can get a huge variety of different toppings and sides, such as fries and onion rings. They also do amazing milkshakes and ice creams. One of the most fun things about the restaurant is the theming - you sit in red seats at booths or at the counter. In each booth there is a old style music player, and you can put in a quarter and choose a song to play!

This place is amazing! By far my favourite food bar, if only there was one in the UK! The milkshakes are lovely. Every night whilst on holiday, I would go and buy a milkshake and choose a song on the jukebox. The staff are also so entertaining!
