I've wanted another Reuben sandwich ever since I had the one at First Watch just a few days ago. Yesterday I was able to satisfy my craving once again. Jason's Deli doesn't make it easy to order your food though, I've been to this location a few times and always get confused where to order and how to get there. There is a kiosk located right next to the salad bar, but then there is a cashier taking your order. Which one do I go to? What's that kiosk for? These were questions circling around in my head as I bravely made my way up to the cashier. Thankfully I was able to place my order with him. A little over $10 for the full sandwich without a drink (I ordered water) and I was on my way to the table with my number in hand, thinking to myself, this had better be a massive sandwich. A few minutes later my fear subsided as I was brought a decent sized sandwich for the price I paid. It wouldn't hurt them to offer another small side like potato salad, coleslaw, or a even cup of soup (in addition to the chips) for that price, at least with the full-size. Unlike the First Watch Reuben, this one wasn't pressed, nor did it hold together as well as a result. As messy as it was to eat, the flavor was pretty good. It was lacking that feel-goodness you get from it all staying together as you eat it, but nothing so bad I wouldn't order it again. At this point, I was full but still felt bad thinking I just spent $10 for a sandwich and chips. Then I remembered...FREE ICE CREAM!!! I figured between the $8 that First Watch charges without ice cream, and the $10 that Jason's Deli charges with it, I could definitely eat $2 worth of ice cream to make up that difference. Heck, I don't know anywhere that sells ice cream cones for less than $2, so there is definitely value added there. After the confusion upon entering, and the slightly high price, it was the free ice cream that warranted the fourth star. If I couldn't have dairy though, it'd be tough to justify.

Very disappointing. Will not return to this location. Every table not occupied was cleared but not cleaned. Every table was dirty and staff was standing around talking to each other at the register. The ice cream Machine was overflowing and not one staff member, including the manager was trying to fix it. Salad bar also needed attending.

This is one of my favorite fast-casual restaurants in the Orlando area. Conveniently located by my gym (24-Hour Fitness), this is an excellent spot for post-workout healthy eats. I'm a sucker for their salad bar, which is brimming with fresh, colorful vegetables... including some organic options. And there are pre-made salads within the bar, like the edamame salad and corn relish. I typically order the salad bar to go. They give very large to-go containers, so I always find that I have a bit left over for a midnight snack or a second meal. It's really a great deal, considering I could never make a salad at home with that many fresh ingredients (without having some ingredients go bad). When you get the salad bar (and maybe other meals), you can add on a cup of soup for 99 cents. And their soups are delicious! The vegetable vegetarian soup is pureed... much more enticing and delicious than other vegetable soups. I've tried most of their soups and have loved them all. The people who work here are very courteous and friendly. And the dining area is spacious and very clean. Great option for those seeking a quick, casual meal.

The food here is delish. I get the managers special for lunch all the time - soup and a half sandwich. Fresh salad bar is great. The staff is always kind and courteous. Plus they deliver!

I love the idea, swipe your credit card and go to town on what seems to always be a fresh tasty salad bar and very filling sandwiches. I try and eat healthy as much as possible and this seems to be not only that but very quick. Took away 1 star cause i feel like I'm in a hospital cafateria every time i eat there.

While in Orlando for a training we all ordered food from this establishment for delivery. I chose the Nutty Mixed Up Salad. I'll never order from here again. I had quite a few issues with the salad right off the bat. 1. The amount of feta cheese was ridiculous! Whoever made this salad went crazy with the feta cheese. I easily dumped about 1/2 cup of cheese from the salad and had more on the salad. 2. The apple on the salad was not cube or cut into bite-sized pieces. Instead it was an apple that was sliced into quarters and put into the salad. Why would anyone put apple pieces that large into a salad? 3. The greens were wilted. Most of the lettuce was fine but there was a lot of lettuce that had turned and was going bad. 4. There was a few pieces of grape stem in the salad. Not one piece but three different pieces of grape stem. In addition to the above issues, the flavor of the salad was meh.

Love the food at Jason's! It's my typical go to spot for any deli type cravings. With a salad bar, vast array of sandwiches and soups, and how can anyone forget the free icecream?! It's such a great spot to wind down and enjoy lunch or dinner. The "SODO" location is typially packed with patrons during the lunch time hour so try and get there a little earlier to get prime seating. The Californa Club is amazing!!! Love the freshness of all the ingredients! I would highly recommend this to everyone. The chicken pot pie "soup" is actually very tasty too so give that a shot while you're at it! They do offer a soup/sandwich combo so that's probably the best deal for this place. Parking is always an issue here given this is in SODO. Again you may be better off parking in the free parking garage or just keep circling around till you find a spot on the main road. Other than that the facilities are always clean and the food is always tasty. What more could you ask for from a deli??

Pretty good place, and pretty flexible depending on your diet. They have a decent sized salad bar and a good selection of other salads with toppings, some sweets, and sandwiches. The best thing about this place is if you just want the salad bar, you can ring it up and check yourself out in a different line. What a great idea!

  • Jay C.

Each time I eat here I am pleasantly impressed. It is an open, wide and spacious place, family oriented. A nice salad bar with all the trimmings, a free ice cream bar (yes, I said free) and a great selection of eats. I had the chicken penne pasta this last time delivered to me at my home with a side salad, and a chef salad for later that evening. The penne pasta was ok, not enough chicken but brought hot and very quick for a lunch time order. (I believe from order to arrival was 30-45 min at 1 pm. The delivery driver was courteous and clean, all in all a good experience.

I came here to order take out for my parents who are hanging out in the waiting room at the nearby hospital. I did want them to get subjected to the hospital cafeteria so we order some sandwiches. This place is great, nice menu with something for everyone. My Amy Turkey-o was on a nice onion roll piled high with turkey and topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion with some stone ground mustard. With it comes a pickle and a bag of chips. Mom loved the Turkey Pepper Jack Panini, Dad enjoyed his club and my husband loved the Mediterranean wrap. My sandwich looked small at first but was very filling. The best thing about our to go order was the way they packaged it. Individual for each person. Each person got their own lunch sack very easy to identify. They deliver so I gave my mom a menu if they have to come back to the hospital tomorrow. My parents were pleased and happily full.

For the SoDo location of Jason's, a review from about four hours ago gave them one star. I can't go that far; I still like Jason's, but I agree this location could do things better. For the last couple of months I've stopped in at Jason's for lunch twice (I shop at SoDo Target often), and have walked out because of an inoffensive odor to the place. On my recent visit, my sandwich was good as I've come to expect from Jason's. But there still was a mild odor to the place. Also, the dining area looked messy. The worst part of the experience was when an employee began sweeping and mopping the floor right where I was eating. I almost expected her to ask me to pick up my feet so that she could clean under me. But they still make good sandwiches. The problems mentioned above are management problems and should be addressed.

I love it. I've been twice and have yet to be disappointed. The first time I ordered to-go, second time dine in. The amount of food for the value, especially the salad bar, it's worth it. I was actually intending on trying the sub shop across the street, but once I saw said sub shops menu, I headed over to Jason's hoping to find a better selection and got exactly what I wanted. Very satisfied.

I truly enjoy the Jason's Deli menu. And what's not to love about the free soft-serve ice cream? Somehow, though, I find myself more a fan of the Colonial Drive location than this one. The menu and service are the same, but this one feels even more crowded. Perhaps it's the dividing wall, perhaps it's the tables tucked right up to the restroom door. And perhaps it's that on the evening I visited, someone came in and started panhandling patrons throughout the dining room. Not a place I'd avoid, but not a place I'd go out of my way to hit, either.

Yummy salad bar and free ice cream - who can beat that? Great for families too. Skip a drink to save some $. Their granola on the salad bar is delicious on the ice cream.

Always fresh items on salad bar. Excellent service. The chocolate mousse is the best I have ever had. The seafood gumbo is also very good.

Why do birds suddenly appear... every time, I am here? Just like me... they long to be... close to your food! Love everything I've ordered here... they have baked potatoes the size of a football too! I haven't personally ordered one but my friends have and I'm still pondering how they can grow such monstrosities. Also, the free mini-muffins and soft-serve make me feel like a kid again... can't get enough of those.

I've always been a fan of Jason's Deli. We were on this side of town and looking to pick up some quick lunch for my coworkers and I. They'd never been to a Jason's. My boss was craving a salad and did the salad bar which was extensive and well stocked and added a side of grilled chicken for 1.79 that was a good sized bowl. My coworker got a corned beef sandwich that was massive and looked really good. I had a pressed chicken panini that was simple but tasty and switched to the baked chips (got to maintain that girlish figure, lol). I love that this location is calorie conscious and offers both tasty and low cal options. Another Jason's staple is the free ice cream. Which, I'll admit I usually have in the form of a coke float. It's just really tasty that way. But more important than any of that, the staff here is EXCEPTIONAL. The girl bringing out food was more energetic and outgoing than servers at most restaurants and obviously wasn't just sucking up for a tip. The busser was attentive and friendly, asking for our plates without overly disrupting our conversation. The other busser attending to the outdoor tables said hello to me as I was waiting for the rest of the party and admittedly complimented my dress. There's a reason this place is packed at lunch time. The food is what I expect from a Jason's but their staff make this location amazing.

I've only recently started eating here for lunch this year and am pretty satisfied. It also could be because I get the same thing every time, but it still tastes as good as the last! (I get the light portion of the nutty salad w/ avocado, no cheese, and dressing on the side) I'd say I come once every couple of months and the service is usually pretty good. Staff is always nice, friendly, and helpful. I don't get the free ice cream at the end, but it's sort of their staple! Timewise - it comes out fairly quick, except my friend's meal the last time I went took a little longer than anticipated. Good spot if you're a 9-to-5'er trying to snag a fairly quick, but good meal during your break!

This place is a nice option for lighter meals and healthier choices. The gumbo and muffuletta are surprisingly delicious. The salad bar is nice. Be careful with full order potatoes cause it's huge!!!! There are places I like a lot better than here but it's not a bad option by any stretch of the imagination.

so it's a sandwich shop that has an all you can eat salad bar and free soft serve ice cream. nothing to jump at. oh it's definitely cheaper than it's competitor that rhymes with Blue Jay. ( I eat, I'm not a poet or an Enrish Major). We had french onion soup, that was basically brown salt water and a piece of undefined cheese microwaved over the bowl. Also a pastrami sandwich that was good. Not that I'd crave that sandwich, but I wasn't upset that I was eating it. so, if you need a sandwich, and your standing in front of this place, turn around...look for something more interesting. If there isn't anything more interesting, turn back around and grab a meal.

I took my husband and 14-year-old granddaughter to Jason's Deli last night. I had the salad bar with French onion soup, my husband had the California Club Sandwich with a side salad and steamed vegetables, and my granddaughter had the "make it your way" sandwich as she's a picky eater. The French onion soup was very good, but it was in two bowls (one kind of inside the other) which made the bowl with the soup wobble. It was worth the additional 99 cents, but I would get rid of the second bowl. The salad bar was clean and tidy, with plenty of vegetables, salad dressings and toppings. I was satisfied. My husband received a large bowl of steamed vegetables to go along with his sandwich and side salad. The side salad was a one-time trip to the salad bar, and he could pile it as high as he wanted. Since he has two hollow legs, he ate every bit (except for the carrots). The California Club lacked any type of meat other than bacon. I don't know if the sandwich artist forgot to put in the chicken or turkey, or if they just put a small slice on the bottom and it went unnoticed. He did appreciate the large size of the drink glasses so he didn't have to keep getting up to get a refill on his drink. He was disappointed with his sandwich (you've seen the billboard with the sandwich loaded with meat - his didn't look like that at all.) He was the only one of us with enough room for the free ice cream, which was typical soft ice cream in a cone. My granddaughter could barely finish her half sandwich with potato chips although she declared it "really good." Her half sandwich had more meat than my husband's whole sandwich. All in all, a good place to have lunch. I'll come back.

Always a favorite for us! We were excited when this location opened last summer, and as frequent SODO shoppers, stop in once a month or so - usually on a Saturday. We've never been disappointed - with eating in or taking out. When they first opened last year, their take-out was a bit slow, but I chalked it up to them working out the bugs, and hoped they wouldn't have the same lousy, inefficient take-out service as their East Colonial store. Things seemed to improve, but admittedly, we don't order take-out too often. The eat-in, dining experience is ALWAYS good: high-quality food, someone clearing tables, and help if we need it. It's always busy when we're there, so it's noisy in the cavernous dining room, but that's okay once in a while. (sort of) Better acoustics would make it a more enjoyable experience, to be sure. Noisyy kids (frequent) are just not for us! (We're DINKS... or dorks, whichever you prefer.. LOL) Definitely worth a try! Great for lunch or a light dinner.

Ooh I'm totally basing this review on a single sandwich I just now ate. I ordered a Club Royale - "Toasted croissant with smoked turkey breast, ham, bacon, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard." Wow. I loved every bit of that sandwich. The Croissant was such a perfect medium to bring the deli meat and bacon, along with the honey mustard to my watering mouth. The price is a bit on the high side at almost $7.00, but in the end feels totally worth it. I know my girlfriend has told me I've been there before, but this sandwich has just now opened my eyes to Jason's Deli. I'll definitely be hitting them up again. What's this I hear about free soft serve ice cream!?!

  • Sam S.

This location has really gone BAD. My plate for the salad bar had old food stuck to it. My tray was dirty. The salad bar items were all low or empty. There were no cones for the ice cream. The entire beverage station area was disheveled and sticky. The place just seemed dirty & lazy overall. It's a shame b/c I live a few blocks away, and I used to love their salad bar. They charge too much for a divey dump (which is what they've become). :(

One of my favorite sandwich places in town for sure!! Whether I want a big ol' UNhealthy pastrami sandwich or a lite sandwich or wrap, Jason's got me covered! The healthy and light sandwich and wraps are AWESOME and delicious! They've got a nice salad bar which is constantly well maintained and stocked with fresh ingredients. It's not huge but its a decent size and includes humus and tiny muffins and other fun stuff. I have never walked into any Jason's Deli location and not see the salad bar fresh, well stocked and clean. Oh! And after I've made myself feel good by eating the salad bar, I ruin it all by getting down with the complimentary soft serve icecream they offer! I have not had anything from Jason's that I didn't like. I highly recommend this place!

Too Jay's is merely OK but Jason's deli rocks! I always get their salad bar (tons of delicious and fresh ingredients) along with a cup of their seafood gumbo (spicy and really delicious). A great lunch with drink for under $10.00!

I usually don't review chains, but our recent visits dictate I do. When they opened, we had gone a time or two. Great food like usual, service was good, and much closer to our house than the Fashion Square one. We go to Jason's maybe once every month or so. The service has consistently declined. Wrong orders, messed up orders, not the customary friendliness, and so on. We had a meal there about 1.5 months ago. My order was wrong and came out cold (soup). After bringing it to the staff's attention, they apologized and gave me a replacement. No biggie, easy fix. Well, about 2 weeks ago, we ordered online to then pickup in person. We ordered three meals. 2 of the 3 were not even close to right. Since I ordered online, I double checked my order. I called the manager and expressed my displeasure. Longer story short, another manager was not very friendly, call to the headquarters resulted in NOTHING. The food is always tasty, but the service has become laughable. I'm amazed that a chain operates like this. It's highly unlikely that I will step foot in a Jason's deli anytime soon. I'm not a complainer, but when something's wrong, it needs to be addressed.

Loved this pleace. Everything we had was sooooo goood. The salad bar is one of the best around we also had the beefeater and was not over cooked just right. The bread was toasted to a nice crunch so when you diped the sandwich it didn't get soggy. I will be back very soon. This is a must try. My only wish they need one closer to Hunters Creek area.

They have a salad bar and give you the option of fruit or steamed (yep, steamed) veggies if you order a sandwich. Yay for finding a fast food place with healthy options you actually want! That said, I just found out they have a free ice cream machine???? Yay!

So today I went to Jasons for the time. We mainly went because my mothers friend is allergic to gluten and they have gluten free bread there. We walk in and there's a picture of a chunky beef stew that my mom fell in love with and I warned her that things never look as good as they do in the picture. But she got it anyways, who knows? I could be wrong. I look at the menu and I see a meatball po boy... I was curious to see how this was accomplished so I ordered that and a piece of baklava. They gave me my baklava right away but we had to take our number and pick a seat so they could bring us our food. We waited maybe 5 minutes or so and we got our food. Let me just start by saying that Jason was lied to on what a po boy is because what I got was not a po boy. If it was, the meatballs would have been battered and deep fried. It was no po boy but that did not make it any less yummy. My mom also got her "beef stew", which looked nothing like the picture at all. It had no chunk to it, it was more like a watery tomato soup with a few carrots in it. So my mother being the way she is, took it back and got a half baked potato... it was the half portion and it was the biggest potato I have ever seen in my life. She loved it and I enjoyed my baklava with the free soft serve ice cream, how bad ass is that? So overall Jasons was good and I would go back, but there's nothing special about it that I would crave. So I give it 4 stars.

Jason's Deli is a great standby for a tasty sandwich or nice salad bar... and of course you can't forget the endless ice cream! TooJay's is okay, but for me its Jason's all the way! I tend to go with either the Club Sandwich or the Yankee. Both are quite tasty, the former being on the light side and the latter definitely on the other end of the spectrum.

I really like this Jason Deli compared to the others in Orlando. First of all it is newer than most, so it is really clean. I like the club sandwich and the salad bar. There are lots of veggies on the salad bar and also hummus and prepared salads. You can order soup also, I've had the french onion(great) and the chili(good). As mentioned it does get crowded on wknds and luch time. It is hard to move in your seats there are no aisles in the middle tables.

Great location since I live in the SoDo. It gets packed during the weekends but their sandwiches are amazing. I'd rather go here over subways or even toojays. try their chicken club with the French onion soup, it will fill you up. Most of their items are really healthy and both hearty. I've never sat down because I take out but it seems like they have good service all around. Check this place out when you have a chance.

I have been to this location many times with my pastor. The salad buffet is a great bargain for the price because they have a few pasta salads, desert cookies, and lots of fresh toppings for your salad. I recommend getting coffee, because 2 steps over is the cream and sweetener, and 2 more steps over is the chocolate syrup giving you Mocha. I also recommend getting a Muffaletta. If you like olives then it is one of the best values for your money: huge and tasty. I would have given 5 stars, except that if you want to park in front there are only a few parking spaces.

I absolutely love Jason's Deli and I'm so glad there's one so close to where I live! They offer usual "deli" fair but my favorite thing to order is their enormous Cheddar Broccoli Baked Potato which is always piping hot and super delicious. I never think I can finish such a huge portion but before I know it, I've scraped that potato skin clean! I love all their fresh ingredients in salads, soups and sandwiches and uh, hello, free soft serve ice cream! So save yourself a little dough and skip the desserts in the case at the cash register - although they look yummy they're no show stoppers.

The Beefeater has won a place in my carnivorous heart! I don't know why I have never been to Jason's before but it certainly won't be my last. Since I was in Orlando for work, which is rare, I decided to have lunch at Jason's. The place was packed for lunch but the line moved quickly. I must admit that the menu is a bit overwhelming with so many options but I chose the Beefeater and it was a wise choice. The Beefeater consists of hot roast beef, provolone cheese, mayo and its served on a freshly baked New Orleans French bread. It also comes with a delicious cup of au jus for dipping. I devoured that sandwich and I was instantly hooked. The only reason I am deducting a star is because of the plastic cups they use for the fountain drinks. When I took a sip of my soda, the cup itself had a very strong smell of plastic and I thought to myself that perhaps they were brand new. I got another cup but I got the same smell so I asked one of the servers but he was just as baffled as I was. This particular location is very spacious and they do offer seating inside as well as some tables outside. The bathroom was clean but I found it a tad small, one toilet and one urinal. Parking is very limited in front so you may have to find parking in the garage which is free. Jason's Deli is located in the SoDo shopping plaza on Orange Ave near ORMC and Downtown Orlando.

Got a free lunch today at Jason's Deli for a salad that took "too long to make." I didn't even make a stink or ask for it, they just comped it themselves. Surprised, I ran out with the food like Smeagol finding his precious. That's good customer service, folks. And the food was delicious. I got the Chicken club salad. I appreciate how they have their menu listed with gluten sensitive indicators. It's the main reason why I go 5 stars for a satisfied, and full, repeat customer.

They have something for everyone but most importantly, they have an awesome salad bar that includes yummy, healthy things like quinoa. It is so often that restaurants give short shrift to their salad bar and healthy options. Not so with Jason's.

Great selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. I just discovered their seafood gumbo, which is crazy spicy and VERY good. Prices are great, nice variety at the salad bar, free ice cream, and its clean. Good place to study as they don't have a wait staff so no one is waiting on your table. A little on the loud side so I tend to sit in the back corners. No wi-fi

I was so excited to find this location, as I use to eat Jason's Deli about once a week back home. Sadly, the memories were a lot better than the reality I found at this location. Sure, the salad bar was your standard Jason's no-frills salad bar that sticks to the basis. It has a few items that hands down beat the competition flavor wise, but the selection is paltry by comparison. The thing that disturbed me about this location was when I ordered their special soup wwas told they were out and had to make more and then watched the line cooks pull out a freezer bag to throw in the microwave. Heartbroken wouldn't begin to describe it as for some reason I thought they made their soups fresh. Upon watching however, I was not surprised, any food that came out hot came straight out the microwave. Given their prices, that's just not good business. I will say, the location is convenient, located in the swanky SODO plaza. The shopping center is clean, modern and well lit. That's really all that can be said as it really doesn't have any distinct charachter or unique wow factors...

Want a salad....want a great sandwich...this is the best place....I always get the manager's special with the sandwich and salad....I must admit my favorite is the salad bar...it has everything I like. egg, different cheeses, artichoke, olives, bacon, and much more. I dont necessarily like the potato salad. The prices are great...managers special around $7....

My favorite place to eat lunch. Food is always fresh and tasty. Oh yeah-the free ice cream is an incentive. My favorite is the Manager's special- 1/2 Reuben on Rye and French Onion Soup. Although the Sante Fe Chicken sandwich is great too. Also the Chicken Salad Wrap. Also the BLT. The salad bar is delicious! Hmmm ... I am making myself hungry! Just go there and eat! You will know what I mean!

Was impressed. Definitely better than sweet tomatoes. Salad bar always fresh and full. Like that you can order more protein for the salad bar. Large menu for those not interested in the salad bar. Clean environment and friendly staff.

Muy bueno! I can't believe I don't come here more often. As a salad devourer, I'm surprised that I don't come here more often. First of all, I love salad, especially places where I can make my own salad, and I love chili so it's definitely a win-win situation. PROS: + delicious food + healthy options + full-salad bar + free yogurt + good tea + take out CONS: + gets packed on the weekends during lunch time - can be hard to find a seat Yummy, this place is great!

Well done. Very good food and quick service makes this a weekly stop for our daily office lunches. Large salad bar and an extensive selection of pastas, sandwiches and soups. Parking is very difficult in SoDo, which is the only reason for 4 stars.
