Great choice if you've never been, pizzas are always on point and big. Tucked in the old Publix plaza on 50, you might miss this one if your not looking. Staff is always friendly, and accommodating. Have brought our kids a number of times, they love and know good pizza. Good beer and wine selection as well.

I will say this right up front... I am harshest in my reviews of Italian restaurants because I began making pasta at age 6 in my grandmother's kitchen. When you learn from an early age the OLD SCHOOL ways of making food from the homeland, you tend to be nit picky on the things MOST people will never notice. Keep that in mind when you read my review. With that said... Here is my review... I was in the mood for a burger but after parking the car saw a large group heading to Goodfellas and changed my mind so I followed them in. The soup of the day was Chicken Noodle and the Chef's Special was the Ziti Carbonara. The hostess asked if I waned a table or booth and seated me immediately. After about 5 minutes my server came to the table and just asked me if I was ready to order. I expected her to tell me about the specials but she never said a word. I ordered my usual iced ted with lime and when she returned she again asked if I was ready to order. I finally asked what the specials were and she did a great job selling them but I then chose to test her menu knowledge and she knew the menu inside and out. I decided to try the Ziti Carbonara since it was featured. A few minutes later I was brought some bread. It was a Ciabatta bread that had some butter and garlic on the top. I was given a plate with 3 butter packets but the butter was still hard because it was not let to warm up to room temperature. I asked about the dipping oil and was brought some olive oil and told there were spices on the table to use. I don't think my server understood what I was saying but at the time I just shrugged it off and used the butter. The Ciabatta bread was OK but the bread they used to serve was much better. When my Ziti Carbonara came out, the pasta was just past al dente which is OK but I prefer my pasta al dente. The sauce was nicely flavored but the Pancetta used was way too salty and overpowered the dish. My server took it back and the chef offered to remake the dish but I decided to give something else a try instead. After looking over the menu I chose the Goodfellas Baked Combo. It came with a choice of soup or salad and I opted for the salad. When my salad arrived I was not wowed but then again it was a salad. Lettuce, onion, black olive and a piece of Roma tomato and some croutons. The tomato was not fully ripe and did not have much flavor. The croutons were quite tasty. When my entree arrived I started with the ziti and this time they were al dente which was a nice start. The sauce had a nice flavor but was a wee bit sweeter than I prefer it personally. The ravioli were OK but it was apparent that they were not made from scratch. The manacotti was the shining star in that dish. You could taste the whole milk ricotta and it had a nice flavor. I was too full to try dessert but my server was kind enough to give me the run down on the various items. I knew the owner's wife since my wife and I are regulars at Stefano's and met her there. I asked my server to see if he could come out so I could finally meet him. After a few minutes he came out and I let him know how I knew his wife and gave him a full assessment of my meal today. He insisted on taking care of my meal because to him, I was not given a dining experience he wants his customers to experience. In my opinion he went way above the call of duty there because I was more than willing to pay but the look on his face was one I have seen on my own face when MY STAFF does not deliver to MY EXPECTATIONS. It's an Italian thing... lol Frank was very interested in hearing my feedback and gave me a tour of the kitchen, the walk in cooler and freezer and I have to say... I was quite impressed how spotless that kitchen was. After a tour of the kitchen we sat and talked openly about my observations. I was very candid on some things that I felt could be done to make things better from the customer standpoint and Frank did not make any excuses. He took it all in and was not defensive in any way. He seemed to be genuinely interested in how to take what he has and make it better. The big question... Will I go back... Yes... The deficiency in the salad is easy enough to fix. The minor challenges with my server are easily addressed. The level of saltiness in a meat is a matter of personal preference. Even if my meal was NOT comped, I would still feel the same as I do and let Frank know up front I will be writing up a review on Yelp and will not hold back on my experience and he said "I would expect nothing less" and shook my hand. Frank was given some ideas on how to streamline his menu and still offer some diversity while at the same time keeping in sync with his overall vision.

I used to frequent this place at least 3-4 times a month when I lived in the Waterford Lakes area. I would always get chicken parm with spaghetii and their Italian wedding soup! So good! It had been a while since I went, so I forgot how amazing it smells when you first walk in. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming, as even the cooks in the back make sure to say hello and ask how you are, as well as acknowledge you as you leave which gives you the feel of a mom and pop type place. I ended up getting some pizza this time, which I actually had never had before, and man have I been missing out! We customized the tomato and spinach pizza that's on the menu by having red sauce and adding ricotta cheese and meatball slices to it. It was so delicious! The crust was thin and crispy and held up extremely well with the amount of topping we had on the pizza. Definitely a fan of their pizzas! We also had a caesar salad to start which was wonderful. I loved the dressing on it! P.S. - All of their portions are ginormous!

Dinner was very tasty. I had the chicken florentine. My husband had the pasta sampler. The garlic knots were very yummy and now I have garlic breath! Waitress was very friendly and told us the specials. Would definitely eat there again!

My favorite pizza in East Orlando. Pepperoni pizza and garlic knots are where it's at.

My husband loves pizza. This is his favorite place. I would have given 5 stars, but the service is very slow at times.

Great Italian place. They offer carryout and delivery and have a nice atmosphere of a restaurant. Food was good and even had a to go portion. Good food and friendly staff.

You know that place that is consistently good, and occasionally great? This is it. We've been going there for years, and they have never faltered. The pizza is always up to snuff. Crispy crust, plenty of toppings without it becoming soggy, especially when dining in and fresh out of the oven. But delivery is good, too. The penne a la vodka is very good, but the spaghetti progentini is great. Try it. And the garlic knots...

I decided to try this place after reading such great reviews on yelp and for the most part it met my expectations. It is kind of hidden in a shopping center where most of the places are out of business. However, once I walked in the place was much nicer than I expected. It was really cute and had that sort of charming hole in the wall ambiance. I ordered a pizza and it was very good. It was very cheesey and the cheese was high quality. Crust was good. Excellent texture, but I would've liked a bit more butter or garlic or something on the edges. I would come here again.

I'm a NY pizza snob and after trying so many different pizzerias in the Orlando area GoodFella's is the best! I love the margarita pizza, the crust is thin and crispy, the sauce is perfectly made. The ambiance is friendly and casual. Sometimes there's a waiting time but is worth the wait. Whether we order out or dine in the service is always friendly and fast.

I don't know about their pizza. But their Antonio lacks flavor, finesse and character do not waste your money on below average Italian. Go to Olive Garden. (Now that's saying something)

This italian restaurant has been here foreeverrr. I mean even before the columbian burger place open and the other burger place. Do you even remember when Blockbuster was there to grab a movie after dinner? I'm guessing most of y'all don't. They have some pretty real deal stuff and some could use a little help but most of it is pretty good. Lets start with the lunch specials. I really like the Italian Sub and I would get it hot. They don't skimp on the meat and the veggies in it are crispy and fresh. I've gotten take out for dinner recently and was a little disappointed in my lasagna. The sauce was a tad too watery and the pasta was falling apart from cooking too long. I think someone new was working in the back so i'll give them that... However, their garlic knots is super garlicky, which is a good thing! If any one knows me is I love garlic. Yum! The people here are super friendly and theres lots of regular that have came while just picking up food. Even for those like me that aren't regulars I felt really welcomed by every one. Lots of people recommend pizza but I haven't had the chance to eat it recently so I can't say much.

I'll be honest, I've been here several times & have only ordered pizza almost every single time. I did order pasta once on a whim, many moons ago, but I really don't recall if it was bad or good. Anyway, I love the pizza here. NY style is the best. It's what I grew up with & this place does it right. Thankfully, the pizza I just ordered today had the absolute perfect cheese to sauce ratio! I always have to order garlic knots, too! If you don't like a lot of cheese, garlic and/or butter, don't order them! They basically serve them over a pool of butter, which doesn't give them any points for presentation, but to me they're so good that I don't even care. It's a very once-in-a-while kind of thing for me, so I don't mind all the extra calories and fat. I mean, if you're coming here, are you really counting calories? I don't think so. Overall, service is always good, as well. Our most recent server even offered to have my son's pizza cut up for him! It can be a little bit of a wait sometimes, especially when you're really hungry & forced to smell all of that goodness around you, but nothing too bad. I'll definitely keep coming back! Always a good option if you're looking for NY style pizza on the east side.

Terrible lunch service today. Ordered a house salad, no onion. A full order of garlic knots, 2 Bambino pizzas as TWO of my kids were with me and One large pizza: half pepperoni, half vegetarian, NO ONION. Salad: Found onions and picked them out. Barely tasted the Italian dressing, found it was watered down. It had plenty of lettuce, one slice of tomato, 3 croutons, 1 peppercini, no olives. When another lady (not our waitress) brought out one Bambino Pizza, I mentioned, I had ordered 2 Bambino she said she will check. Shortly after, the large pizza arrived WITH onion. Once my waitress came back she apologized and stated the Bambino Pizza will be out in 6 minutes and also they will bake another pizza also 6 minutes. I said only if it will be 6 minutes as this is taking longer than I planned to spend. We spent a little over and hour at Goodfella's. My kids are the garlic knots and took a few bites of their pizza. Took everything to go. I miss the old Goodfella's. Seems like ever since they moved to their new location, the quality of service has gone down.

The Pie was not as good as the movie. While the restaurant was fairly packed around 8:30 on a Saturday night, my rejoice faltered as I took a peek at my pie before leaving. The sausage was the bland tasting, thin sliced. That alone, disqualifies the pie for any awards. The rest of it was simply a Pizza. The cheese was but the run of the mill variety. It was not stringy whatsoever; but, like the pizza, flat looking, in the box. Like a steam roller ran over it. The crust was average. Was this just a bad pie? No. This is the way they are made at Goodfellas. Would I reccommend the pizza to a friend or my neighbor? NO! While I was disappointed, I will return to sample some traditional Italian fare.

This place is fantastic! I love their baked meatball (spinach, and melted cheese over the yummiest meatball ever), and their pizza is perfectly thin, with the right ratio of sauce to cheese. If you check out their website they have a coupon you bring if you're dining in, and they also do takeout as well.

Coming from New Jersey, I'm always on the search for good pizza. Goodfella's definitely comes close and is consistent in their quality. Their house dressing for salad is also very good. The service as well. The staff are always friendly and willing to chat for a minute.

I'm just going to say it: Goodfellas has the best garlic knots I've ever eaten in my life. Seriously, if you eat here go ahead and commit to the full order because no one will be able to keep their hands off them. That being said, Goodfellas pizza is pretty good. But I'm really a sucker for pasta. If you want a good vegetarian pasta dish I suggest the Spaghetti Primavera. It's Spaghetti sauteed with garlic, broccoli, spinach, tomato, black olives and onions with a choice of creamy parmesan sauce or red sauce (cream sauce is better than red in this dish). You get bread and a choice of salad with all the pastas; get the Caesar. The dressing is really good here! The atmosphere here is great, too. A good mixture of families and college students. The servers are great and the food comes out super fast. I definitely recommend Goodfellas!

Pizza is awesome. I tried a couple of different combinations of slices since I was eating alone. Also if they have Pumpkin Cheesecake you have to try it.

I came in for a late lunch\early dinner with a friend on her recommendation. We both prefer NY style and can't stand bland soggy pizza. So, I took her word for it, and was very happy with the results. I ordered 2 slices which was a risk. Slice pies are generally made ahead of time and reheated, so depending on the traffic of the day, your pizza may not be so fresh. I had 1 slice cheese, 1 slice spinach and tomato. The cheese pizza was ok, fresher than the spinach one, but it wasn't as tasty as the spinach and tomato. That slice had some garlic\oregano seasoning on it that made me not reach for the crushed red pepper. Very good pizza! Holding out on the 5th star until I have a chance to try a pie made fresh, but even so, I have little doubt it will be anything but great!

Went again yesterday and as always, the food and service were great. Garlic knots, cheese pizza and a cannoli. Yum!

Goodfellas obviously knows that it caters to the college crowd, offering cheap pizza and great lunch specials at an affordable price. Just because the prices are inexpensive, does not mean that the quality of the food is sacrificed. I actually find the pizza pretty darn tasty. I generally go with the slice of pizza, side salad and drink combo all for under 10 bucks. If you are feeling extra cheap, you can look on their website and click on coupons for an even better deal (depending on what you are ordering). The interior of Goodfellas is nothing special, but it is sufficient and most importantly it is clean. Stop in for a hot slice and beer and you won't be disappointed.

Goodfellas is my favorite place for Italian food on the eastside. As many have already indicated, the pizza is really good and they offer it by the slice in case you want to stop by and get a little idea of whats going on. However, more often than not we go for a full meal. My favorite dish on the menu is the chicken parm. Fried to a perfect crisp and topped with gooey mozzarella and great marinara. It is served with a side of pasta, and it is a really healthy portion as well. The meal is served with hot, fresh italian bread which is paired perfectly with their Italian wedding soup. This is one of my fav soups, and they stuff their's with plenty of dumplings and meatballs. So good...

I'm going to keep this one as short as possible. Price: Since it's located in the college district, Goodfella's offers some great specials on the cheap. The regular menu pricing is affordable, too. Food: I love, love, love Goodfella's pizza. It's as close to NY as you can get in that area. Service: While some of the pizza chains near UCF take an incredibly long time to serve you, Goodfella's is fast even on their busiest day. They are also incredibly helpful; their staff brought our food out to us since we got there a bit earlier then the quoted time. That pretty much sums up the key points. It is a pizzeria after all, so not too much detail to go into. Their full dinners are great, too though.

When Goodfellas first appeared years ago, it was one of the best in the area, and thankfully replaced the long string of mediocre pizzerias that had inhabited the same place before. But then something happened. I'm not sure what happened but something did. Whether it was Martians, or some conspiracy happening at the highest levels of government, but Goodfellas changed. Now that's not to say that you won't get a good meal there. they are still above a good amount of the places you'll find in Orlando, but they're just not up to the level they used to be when they first opened up years ago. The pizza, which was their hallmark, isn't as great as it used to be before. And it really is hard to quanitfy this, I dunno if they changed their ingredients or perhaps a new cook was hired, or maybe it was the aforementioned conspiracy, but whatever it is, the pizza that my friends and I would absolutely die for is not worth writing home to mother about. Their pasta and other dishes are still ok (their garlic knots are to die for!) but they're also suffering from the same fate as their pizza. It feels like they've built a good base and decided to rest on their laurels as it were. Com'on guys! Let's get back to the way it was. Make me feel like I need to rob an old lady to get money for a pizza now instead of walking to the ATM at Publix. You used to instill that feeling. Where did the magic go?

    (3)
  • Ghost O.

It's good pizza. Better than some other pizzerias but not the best. Good enough for the college crowd. The decor and atmosphere are a bit outdated but its ok since the food is not bad.

When you walk in the stench is nauseating. The smell of this restaurant makes you immediately lose your appetite. I only came here because my friend said they had a cheap lunch special. The food was okay, way too greasy. Our waitress was extremely rude and rushed us through our meal . I'd recommend this restaurant if you are on a tight budget and don't mind if your food is not fresh quality. This place is far from authentic!

The Good: -Delicious food -The Price -The amount of food you get -Slices of pizza are large. The Bad: Nothing for me The food is always great. The garlic knots are so good! I love the pizza, the calzones, the chicken noodle soup, the Stromboli's. They're all awesome.

My dad is retired in Florida and we all decided to go down for a family visit for a few days. We wanted to take him out for a big dinner with the group (~12 people). He wanted Goodfellas and said it was his favorite restaurant, We weren't sure how we would all like it but wanted to make him happy. We're from the Chicago area where there are many great Italian places and were not sure what this would be like. I would have to say this was one of the best places I've been. For agreat food at pretty cheap prices and everything we ordered came through. The beer and wine can all be had for less then $5! Peroni beer for less then $4, you have to love it. Very comfortable place. Employees seem to be very attentive and friendly and took car of us even though it was huge group in the middle of the restaurant. Ryan was our waiter who was excellent and my dad had a great time as we all did. Anyway enjoy I know we all did.

so i've lived here in orlando a little over a week and i think i've eaten here like 6 times already. okay, maybe like 3. but still, goodfella's is damn good for pizza AND other stuff. from the outside, it looks like it might just be a takeout place, but there's actually quite a few booths if you want to sit and enjoy your meal. their dinners (which include a salad) are very reasonably priced and you get massive portions, too! mmm chicken parm. but most importantly...the pizza. as a northeasterner who's been reading that you can't find a decent slice down here, i was blown away at how awesome and tasty it was. toppings were abundant and the sauce was perfect. definitely my go-to from now on!

If you haven't been to Goodfellas then you're missing out on cheap but tasty Italian food. Located in an old Publix strip mall on the east side of town ( Alafaya & Colonial), Goodfellas boasts a huge menu of all kinds of italian favorites. The Antipasti salad, shrimp scampi and meatball subs are wonderful and the pizza is fairly yummy new york style. The decor is cheap and dated but this restaurant is clean with great service. I've sampled many items and lately I keep going back to my personal fave- the chicken marsala sub. It's even better than it sounds- served on a crisp crunchy italian style roll with a generous portion of pounded thin chicken breasts and the best marsala sauce. Be warned though- this place is usually PACKED. One Friday night we went early and by the time we left around 7 ish, I counted 5O+ people waiting to get a table!

I know this might sound strange since I'm reviewing an Italian Restaurant, but Goodfella's has the best chicken caesar salad ever!!! So much chicken! I have also had the pizza and a few entrees and have never been disapointed! :-)

Goodfellas is my favorite east Orlando pizza, and probably my favorite NY style in all of Orlando. They have great lunch specials, with deals on slices. 2 slices always fills me up! If you are a fan of garlic knots, I would recommend getting an order of those. Fresh sliced garlic is littered atop them, they are delicious! I am not a big fan of the salads as they are mostly iceberg lettuce. Their pasta is wonderful, however. I recommend the penne ala vodka. They also have awesome cannolis. If you are wanting some good NY style pizza, I would stop in here for sure.

I use to love this place, it use to have real pizza! With fresh ingredients so I recently moved back to this area and decided to go pay a visit and it was like I was eating pure grease. My fiancée got chicken tenders and every bite he had a pocket of grease burst out of the chicken that burnt him every time. Let's just say the food ended up being thrown away. Bummer

This is my go-to pizza place on the east side of town. They have a great NY pie, with a thin and crispy crust. They use all fresh ingredients, including fresh garlic (not the "fresh" from the jar stuff). They are not just a pizza joint, they are an all out awesome Italian restaurant. Eat in service is always great and delivery is always fast.

This is the best pizza joint in Orlando I have been to. It reminded me of the pizza places I would go to as a kid growing up in NJ. My husband and I ordered a slice of mushroom and sausage pizza, an order of penne pasta with sausage and a side order of meatballs to share. We had the pizza as an appetizer and boy oh boy was it yummy. Nice thin, flakey, and foldable crust. Not too heavy on the sauce and an appropriate amount of cheese and toppings. This will now be our go to pizza place. A healthy portion of penne pasta (enough for two) topped with plenty of sauce and 2 large pieces of sausage arrived along with our side of 2 baseball sized meatballs just after we had finished the pizza. After I took my first bite I was VERY happy. The sauce was rich, slightly spicy, not overly garlicky, with plenty of tomato flavor, so yummy! The sausages were very tasty, I'm not a huge sausage fan, but these were good. The meatballs tasted just like the ones I'd get in NJ. Lots of garlic and spices present. We were too full for desert, but I believe there was about 6 or 7 beautiful looking cakes to choose from. I will have to try that along with the highly coveted garlic knots next time. We felt the service and value were both great and we look forward to our return.

I have to rate my opinion of my visit this time. The pizza is always good but I can't say the same about this fettuccine Alfredo. It literally tastes like the store bought stuff... Gross!! I am very disappointed about my purchase tonight. It was extremely bland and didn't taste authentic. I called the restaurant and talked to an associate. They are refunding my money, at least they have good service!

I think the pizza from Goodfellas is the best in East Orlando. I have been eating here for years. When I worked in the area it was a popular lunch spot, and now even though it is a bit out of my way we still order take-out from time to time. So, why only 3 stars? The service. On our most recent take-out order the pizza took nearly 20 minutes after the pick up time we were given on the phone. That's pretty bad. And then last night I decided to take the kids here for dinner after summer camp. We arrived around 6:00 and were seated right away. Our server introduced herself and she had a trainee with her. Now, you would think that if someone is training a new server they would be providing top-notch service, but that was not the case for us at all. We ordered our drinks and a calamari appetizer to start. We then placed our order for a large pizza to share as well as the mussels entree to share. We also ordered three salads and an Italian wedding soup. Now, my kids were ravenous from a long day outside at camp, so they quickly devoured the calamari (decent calamari, but very average). Next our salads were brought to the table. The main server snapped at they guy who had brought them to the table that he shouldn't have brought them out yet, since we still hadn't received our bread and soup. Even my kids commented that she shouldn't have reprimanded him in front of us. Also, we were all starving and thrilled to have the salads. A while after we finished the salad the bread and soup were brought to the table. It was not Italian wedding soup like we had ordered, but pasta fagioli. My husband waited a bit for the servers to come back around to switch the soup, but eventually he gave up and ate some of it. At this point everything had been taking a long time. We noticed that another table seated after us had already received their pizza. My kids were getting restless. The dish of mussels was served to us and we were told the pizza would be right out. We picked at the mussels and waited for the pizza. Finally the pizza came out, a good hour after we ordered. The whole time our servers were pretty distracted and didn't even seem aware that things were taking too long. Maybe that's just normal for dine-in service here? The trainee was good and kept our drinks refilled. I wish him the best of luck because his trainer was not very nice. Anyway, we will stick with ordering take-out, but if the take-out service keeps running so slow we may have to switch to someplace else.

I love this place. My wife and I got out of here for 25 bucks and took leftovers home with us. The value is unbelievable. The food is also fantastic. The marinara is a little spicy and full of tomato flavor. The meatballs are like I remember my uncle Chiarvalle making and are the size of regulation MLB baseballs. The pizza is also special. Thin and crispy crust with a nice layer of real mozzarella cheese. The service was also efficient and friendly. Our food got out to us quickly and spacing between apps, salad, and main dish was perfect. Kudos to our sever.

Yay!! Manager says we ARE in their delivery area! Still no risotto. I'm not generally a fan of NY style pizza, but I do like the steak n cheese subs. and Darlin' Bebbeh likes the Greek Salad. Delivery is fairly quick, but not quick enough to keep the fries from getting soggy.

We've lived in the Waterford Lakes area for 15+ years. We've frequented GoodFellas over the years & this has been our Go-To pizzeria for a long while. So tonight we anxiously ordered our Za hoping to have a good slice or 2 while watching our Orlando City SC kick the pants off the Columbus Crew. Unfortunately, when we got our pizza & got home (less than 10 mins) our pie was disgustingly greasy & the toppings were luke warm at best! To be clear, we waited for the pizza to finish so it did NOT sit & wait for us to arrive. We usually never call anyone to complain ... But knowing the quality we've become accustomed to, we called as we were sure something was amiss .... Upon answering, I was put on hold .... And waited .... And waited ... And waited for 5 mins & 30 secs .... Then hung up!! Never had a chance to complain --- I hung up frustrated!! With many other choices out there, we'll probably begin the search for another pizzeria.

We were pretty excited to eat here considering the reviews. The was our first time. We ordered a pizza and it was good. Not fantastic like most reviews. It may be New York style but the taste isn't there. The service was decent however it took almost 40 minutes for our pizza to arrive. It wasn't busy when we got there but it was when we left. That being said there were only 2 of us and larger families sat after us were getting their food before us. For that reason it will be a while before we go back if ever. Bummed.

Years ago there was a contest in Vegas for the best pizza in America. Goodfellas came in first place. I agree with most. The food is average at best. No flavor and some things are not as fresh as others. I will recommend the pizza and the Philly cheese steak. (Excellent)

Pizza is the best in Orlando. The dinners are great. Just had the Chicken Antonio and it was perfect! I have never eaten inside. Always take it to go or have it delivered but when I do go there the staff is friendly and the place looks clean. Bottom line good food!!

First of all I got to start off by saying I am originally from Brooklyn but have lived in Ft. Lauderdale area for the past 25 years so Im always on the hunt for good pizza. My wife and I travel to the UCF area a few times a year to visit our son who goes there. We stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Most of the time we like to take my son and his friends out to dinner, but sometimes when we are tired we go back to the room and order from GOODFELLAS. They are quick, the pizza is awesome and even the calamari is very good. All the food always arrives hot and fresh and when I ask for plates, napkins, garlic powder, red pepper and extra lemon for the calamari they send everything, and the best part is the PIZZA IS AWESOME!!!! I know redundant but when I have good pizza I get really excited. Maybe next trip we will dine in.

DO NOT CALL THIS PLACE. Decent food, but service and management is horrible! ! It's happened too many times. Never on time. Delivery takes almost 2 hours if you are lucky and if they answer the phone. And their excuse everytime is "sorry, it's busy" . I'm in their system and have ordered many times, but the drivers always get lost and go 30 minutes away. Will never order again from this place. They do not care about customer service. They have the"who cares attitude". I don't care how good your food is, if you don't take care of your customers you are not good.

My partner and I first came here a month ago, and we've been back twice since (we're students, mind you). Since our first time here it seems like whenever we want to treat ourselves to good food out Goodfellas is the place we think of. Usually the first on the list, we've yet to try their pizza, but, assuming it's as good as I hear, Goodfellas is a very unique restaurant. Their hoagies are great, and their pasta and main courses are amazing. Usually there's something that's gatta give but from service to deserts to coffee they get everything spot on. Long story short I don't think anyone can be disappointed here :) EDIT: Came back for the pizza and it's very good, awesome thin crust. Overall way better than any other pizza place we've been to so far. And there's lunch specials for pizza! Got two slices and a salad for around $6.

11-7-14 Not the usual great food. Arrived party of 4 Saturday night at 9:30 pm. Ordered Garlic knots, stuffed clams, large pizza, eggplant Parmesan and antipasto salad. The knots were barely reheated, not the usual great freshness of out of the oven taste drenched in cold garlic oil mixture. The stuffed clams were horrible just a mixture of bread crumbs with no flavor on a 6 tiny little clams about the size of a quarter ($8!) The cheese on the pizza was very rubbery- maybe they ran out of the Grande cheese and had to buy something cheaper? The eggplant was sliced really thin and was slightly better then cardboard. Really disappointed because I have been recommending this place for years and on this particular night we took our out of town relatives with us telling them how fabulous it would be. The two bottles of Chianti were good though. The service was good. Maybe it was just too late to get good food. The place was unusually empty.

I wanted to check this place out while searching for NY pizza on yelp. The appetizer wasn't memorable. The pizza didn't really taste or look very NY like ( I have been to NY several times). The customer service was lacking.

Always friendly service and very good food. I recommend either the 2 Slices Cheese Pizza with Soup or Salad or the Italian Combo Foot Long Sub. Occasionally it can get a little busy for lunch so we go either a little early or a little late to avoid waiting.

When my husband and I were first dating, we visited this place as it was close to home and we'd heard good things about the pizza. I gotta say, the pizza is very tasty. However, we usually end up eating from the rest of the Italian menu when we go. On our most recent visit our waitress, Gina, was very sweet. We ordered the lasagne and lobster ravioli. The lasagna portion was HUGE! There was no way we could finish it, even if we had shared it. Lots of sauce, lots of cheese, overall very tasty. The bread came (EXTREMELY) hot out of the oven and we received a complimentary eggplant bruschetta that Gina told us the chef was trying out. It was very good with olive oil, garlic, some fresh peppers - yum! The lobster ravioli is my go-to favorite at this place. The sherry cream sauce is rich without being overpowering and the lobster is always sweet and tender. We were too full to even attempt dessert. All in all, this is the "mom and pop" feel I really enjoy as a welcome change to the chain Italian restaurants. One gripe I have is the seating: If you're with a group, anywhere is fine, but if you're seeking some quiet or a place to talk at a reasonable volume, ask to seated on the left side of the restaurant. To the right (when you're facing the place) the kitchen is open and with the booths, it's narrow with a bit too much foot traffic and orders being called, etc. If you don't mind the UCF traffic and are in the area, do try this place!

What a great little pizzeria with a large Italian menu with everything from appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas (specialty too), calzones, strombolis, pastas (oven baked and specialty), veal, eggplant, chicken, seafood, hot and cold subs, and desserts. I was quite impressed with the variety of options. We had a group 5 and were seated within 15 minutes of waiting. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered a small chef salad and once I received it I noticed that it was quite large. The ham and cheese was in a Classic Italian pinwheel a top fresh lettuce and veggies. This in itself was rather filling. Our table also ordered a cheese calzone as well as a large sausage and pepperoni pizza and a large bacon, fresh garlic and red pepper pizza. Now maybe it was just tonight, but I was really glad I asked for my salad before the pizza as we waited nearly an hour for both the pizza and calzone to arrive. I felt bad for the rest at our table. Once the pizzas did arrive, well it was definitely worth the wait. I tried a slice of each and the it was amazing! Definitely had a New York style being large and having a thin flaky crust. One and a half slices was filling for my hubby! Needless to say we had quite a BIT of leftovers that we were told reheat amazingly. We were so full we didn't have any dessert but I look forward to coming back one day and trying some garlic knots and tiramisu (among other things)! Also, although we are not in their delivery area they do have free delivery!

I ordered a pizza, baked ziti, salad, and garlic knots from their website for the Seminole/Miami game. One and a half hours later, I called to find out what is taking so long. The man said that they never checked the on line order and it hadn't even been processed yet. I ordered on their website and even payed ahead of time. They offered no apology or compensation of any kind. I was given two options: either get my money back or wait another 45 minutes for my order to arrive. I am so very disappointed at their customer service, that I will NEVER go back there or order from them again.

Celebrated my step-mom's birthday here a few weeks ago and we had a phenomenal time. With a group of 17 people the staff did a great job accommodating us all. They put the tables together and even let us put some fun decorations and balloons at the table. The server (Melissa) was attentive, sweet and quick. I was amazed at how she was able to handle all of us but still remember all of our individual requests. What a pro! Almost all of the staff jumped in to help sing happy birthday and they truly made it special. After hearing our step-mom rave for over a year about how amazing Goodfellas is, we were excited to finally try the food. The pizza was delicious and we loved the thin NY style crust. The garlic knots are a must! We loved the pizza so much we ordered a whole pie to bring home. It's about an hour drive from us, but we will definitely be back!

My wife and I and her mom and dad have been eating here for a long time. We routinely get pizza, sandwiches, calzones and other dishes and everything is always pretty decent. Normally I would rate this place a 3 or a 4, in fact I am kind of surprised I don't see a previous review here from me. However, a few days ago we got some take out from here, I ordered the Shrimp Sinatra and when I got it home the shrimp was overcooked and tasted very strong, it was inedible. I am sure we will go back but I had to warn people to be careful of the shrimp and I won't be trying it again any time soon.

Total crap. With the amount I spent I'd imagine a pizza with decent toppings, not the case. I had a miniscule portion of the 3 toppings i ordered, not to mention the bottom was so soggy it basically disintegrated. I would have been better off getting my pizza from Dominos. Only the employees were nice.

As a native New Yorker, finding good pizza outside of NYC is always a plus! We've eaten a lot of Goodfella's pizza over the past fifteen years and we've never been disappointed. Sometimes we switch it up and order calzones or subs as well. I've not had a entree that I haven't enjoyed - I love the Eggplant Rollatini. We usually order an antipasto salad and garlic knots to get us started. The garlic knots are amazing, but don't order them if you're on a date! The sauce is sometimes acidic, but a sprinkle of sugar takes the acidity away. When we entertain we often order a tray of stuffed pizza. My guests have enjoyed it so much that a few of my friends now order them to entertain with as well! It's a family restaurant and most of the servers are long time employees that we see from week to week. Always a good meal.

I've never had a bad meal here. From soups, to salads, the ziti, the chicken Parmesan and Oh... don't get me started on the pizza. It is the closest to NY Style as I have been able to find anywhere here in Orlando. You can actually watch the artery clogging grease ooze down as you fold over the slice and THAT is NY style pizza my friends. The sauce is... let me just say; you will not get that out of a jar, it is some mighty tasty sauce, and I love that I can find fresh bits of basil in it so you know its the real deal. If you were to call them and ask if they have any pizza delivery specials, they'll more than likely tell you no, and you know why? Because they don't need to. Their pizza is that good. Try coming here on a Friday night and you'll see what I mean, but it is worth the wait so don't despair! I'm already a regular here, but my having come for lunch today just reaffirmed why I keep coming back.

This goes to show you good things really do come out of Publix plazas... even if there's many (many many many) empty shops in between. SMACKING MY NOSE Oooo hooo! Smell that sauce and bread when you enter! Everything my party ordered has been on point. We've tried the Stuffed Pizza Slice, Parmesian Chicken, and Calzones. The textures weren't too drippy or burnt. The sauces were not too spicy or bland. And even better--the portions were huge! LET'S HANGOUT Within range of UCF, this is a great inexpensive place to bring friends or family and enjoy some time together over food. Even the college-aged servers seemed to be having a great time and were friendly and quick. NO DEAL? Behind the hostess stand was a sign revealing if you texted a certain number you'd get a deal of your meal. I texted the number... and nothing happened.

I only get takeout and delivery from them so I can't comment on the dine in experience, but the delivery is great. The pizza is one of the best in Orlando. Hard to find a good thin crust pizza joint. I love there garlic rolls as well. The time to get your food is usually 45 minutes to an hour which they let you know and it always comes on time or a little bit ahead. The pizza is also nice and fresh when it get's here. Skip the chain pizza joints like Pizza Hut and Dominoes and get real pizza.

Eat at Goodfellas. Go in and just get a slice if nothing else. Its NY style pizza done as right as can be down here. If you want more than a slice get the stuffed slice. That thing is a meal unto itself. Its big enough that they cut your slice in half predicting you most likely will only want to eat that much at one time. They don't just have pizza either. I'm pretty sure they've modeled their calzones after a small child because even the small is enough for two people. As for the rest of their Italian food; its done well. Its not amazing but it is certainly good quality food. Just stop going to those garbage pizza chain places and swing by Goodfellas.

We have been longtime customers of Goodfellas coming here for years. I am sorry to give this 2 star review, but we were so disappointed with our last visit. We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs entrees and a pizza. Goodfellas was known for their huge meatballs and generous pasta and salad portions.. Well, no longer. The meatballs were significantly smaller as was surprisingly the pasta (pasta is cheap!). Worse, the sauce was also sparse and very watery-not up to par. Literally, pool of red tomato water on the bottoms of our plates and no thickness to the minimum amount of sauce. The salad was also much smaller with seriously 1 small slice of a mini tomato. The italian wedding soup lacked meat and flavor. The pizza was good-but just like every other place. Use to be goozy and cheesy. The bread was the only saving grace - it was excellent as before. We did not mind the price increase, but to get a significantly less amount of food and decrease in quality did not make this worth the trip. The 2 stars are for the service only - waitor was great and personable. I hope Goodfellas takes this seriously and brings back the quality and quantity we remember.

The people here are amazing, holding the door for you, etc. Staff very friendly. The pizza (thin crust) was one of the best I have had. The chicken parm sub (not on the menu) was very good as well. I'll be ordering frequently unless I find a better place.

Aside from Via Napoli in Epcot and Anthony's Coal Fired this is the best pizzeria pizza we've found in Orlando, thanks to Yelp reviewers. The afore-mentioned places rate 4 stars with my only 5 star pizzeria being Totonno's in Coney Island. Three stars is actually a pretty high rating for me. Goodfellas pie could have been a little more well done but the sauce and mozzarella were much tastier than other pizzerias in this class. I'll be interested to try some of their other menu items next time we're in the area. Came back soon after to try some of their entrees with my wife, son and his gf. We were disappointed. Sauce was tasteless, dishes unoriginal. We'll still come back for the pizza but only the pizza. One big plus for us is they carry Manhattan Special, a very popular coffee flavored soda which is almost impossible to find outside NYC.

An absolutely perfect, simply made pie! I love pepperoni and mushroom and they just make it so well, that even a large which is around $18(worth the price), i still manage to eat WAYYY more than normal human consumption should warrant. The garlic knots are also mega buttered and uber garlicy, i love them so much. I'm hooked. Wish i could try other things they offer, but the pizza is too damn tasty.

I tried this place on the urging of a friend, boy was I glad I did! The restaurant is half pizzeria, half Italian restaurant. The pizzeria half fits well in the area being that it's close to the local university (UCF). The Italian restaurant half is what my wife and I tried. She had their Tortellini, while I had their calzone. Both were extremely good and there was so much calzone for the "small" order I had that I had to take half of it home. For an appetizer we had their calamari - hot, crispy, and cooked well. The dessert we each had was really the reason we visited the place - the Nutella Cheesecake. It was everything I had hoped and more. Service was friendly, efficient, and I do like it when the waiter or waitress (in this case a waitress) likes to gab (a big plus for me.) If you're in the area and want to eat before a UCF football game - this is the place to stop at.

  • Diana S.

This place is a great italian place that's close to the UCF campus. The food is always delicious and it comes out quick and hot, and they certainly don't skimp no the cheese! I recommend the ravioli, you get more than enough with the salad and bread and I even took some home. The prices are great if you're looking for good food at a low price (entrees are $7-$12), and it tastes better than the chain italian across the street.

The best Italian restaurant in Orlando. I went there last night and had a REAL Italian meal that was delicious. Started with the anti pasta. The prosciutto was so fresh. Had the garlic knots are the bomb so addicting you just can't have 1 and stop. My husband had the Chicken Lasagne. I had the Shrimp penne Ala vodka. So tasty. You can tell that they are Italian when you walk in to the place. The aroma is just like eating in N.Y. and that is where they came from via Italy. The pizza is the best also whether it is round or square. Every time I go there my tough decisions are an entree or pizza. The desserts are great also. The service is impeccable. Great job Good Fellows........ You the diner will not be disappointed.

Ordered take out, got a large goodfellas special pizza, it had sausage, pepperoni, mushroom and red peppers (we skipped the onions) . Perfect crust, cheese and ingredients, definitely best NY style we've had in Orlando so far. Will definitely go back and maybe eat in.

This place is the highest quality New York/American-style Italian food you're going to find. There is NO COMPETITION for this place locally. Their garlic rolls (knots) are delicious, and their chicken parm is phenomenal. Eggplant parm was sinful!! Great early birds. Fresh parsley on each dishes. GREAT server= Stefano! And Manager Pamela was an absolute delight. Hostesses, servers and bussers all helped each other out. Loved the music too (Louis Prima, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald etc). Reminded me of Sunday family dinners at grandmas house. Also--the manager made homemade(from scratch) strawberry tiramisu for valentines day--my partner could not stop talking about it! There were also adorable heart shaped croutons on my salad--which were incredibly tasty. I fell in love with their regular tiramisu (and all their desserts are shipped from NY). They even have Italian cookies for sale from NY. I am in love with this place. Can't wait to try their hoagies. Did I mention the garlic rolls?? I could have eaten them for breakfast, lunch & dinner!!!

This is my favorite little restaurant in Orlando. While living here, we went every Friday night for years. It's consistently great food and service. Now that we no longer live in Orlando, it's a must stop when we return to visit. My husband LOVES the Tortellini Alfredo which honestly is pretty divine. I love the Stromboli, Lobster Ravioli, anything really. I'm drooling thinking about it now. You must go here now!

When I first ordered food from Goodfellas, I thought it would probably be okay, but I was just looking for a last minute dinner that could be delivered. I am so glad I tried it, it's delicious! The chicken Romano is amazing! I suggest trying it!!!

  • Jeff K.

I've been here dozens of times, but I've only had their pizza maybe once. It was good, don't get me wrong, but I have a soft spot for their Italian sub lunch special. A large amount of meat, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and italian dressing, lightly toasted until everything is warm and the bread is just the right amount of crunchy. It's a great lunch. Oh, and garlic knots. Get the garlic knots. GET THE GARLIC KNOTS!! Seriously, they're some of the best I've ever had. No microwaved rolls topped with garlic salt here (I'm looking in your direction, Giovanni's), these are beautiful, soft, melt-in-your-mouth perfect with butter and TONS of freshly minced garlic.

Goodfella's isn't a fancy place, and their decor is kind of 70's "Italian" kitsch. However, their food is uniformly good. Their pizza isn't the best around, but it is pretty good. I don't usually go there for the pizza though - I go there for pasta dishes and the calamari. Their calamari is better than most other places in Orlando - it isn't those crappy frozen rings like a lot of inexpensive places use. Their Fra Diavolo sauce is insanely spicy - I usually get half and half with the marinara to make it tolerable. Their lobster ravioli is delicious. When they've got chicken broccoli alfredo on the specials, it's amazingly good - and really cheap!

I've been living in Orlando for ten years and I haven't found better Italian food than Goodfella's. It's hands down the best in town. Appetizers: Try the garlic knots, which are smothered in fresh shaved garlic and butter sauce. I'd also recommend the baked clams or the calamari. Both of them are amazing and a great way to kick off the meal. The pizza is perfect: light, fresh-tasting sauce, high quality cheese, and thin, crispy crust. I usually have trouble deciding if I want pizza, stromboli, or a calzone because they're all top notch. Pasta: I'd say that my favorite pasta dishes are the Eggplant Rollatini (fried eggplant rolled with ham and ricotta cheese) and Spaghetti Carbonara (crispy bacon, ham, and onions in a creamy, parmesan sauce). As much as I love their pasta, I think their pizzas, calzones, and strombolis are Goodfellas' strongest points. My advice is to slip in during lunch and take advantage of the lunch specials. You can score a few items (baked ziti, 2 slices of pizza, calzone, italian sub) for under 7 bucks. The service is almost always fantastic, too. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The music is a mixed bag: sometimes it's traditional Italian opera, other times it's lounge music, and occasionally it's current pop. Goodfella's is the real deal. I eat there at least once a month. If you live in Orlando and you haven't tried it, it's time to change that. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it. PS: Their stuffed pizza is mad hooked up. I ordered a large box of it once with my roommate. We lived off of it for a week.

Simply the best pizza in Orlando. Definetley 5 stars. Cheese pizza is great - the cheese they use is so much better than anyone else. Stuffed Italian is great - one slice seems like it won't be enough - but it is huge. Pepporoni pizza is kinda oily, but still great.

With so many pizza joins to choose from is always tough to find that one pizza that keeps you coming back for more. Well, I think I have found mine. We really loved the pizza here, the cheese was amazing, the sauce had excellent flavor and the bread was thin and crunchy just like we like it! The garlic nots were killer too, soft, buttery and garlicky. The place has nice relax homey feel to it and it's kids friendly. Service was also top notch. My wife accidentally dropped slice of our pizza and they were nice enough to replace the slice that fell to its death with another fresh slice. I def will be back when I'm around the area and in the mood for pizza.

Goodfella's Pizza is our favorite pizza in the Waterford Lakes area. Of all the places we've tried, they serve the closest to NY style and quality pizza in Orlando. Everything we've had here has been excellent. Sauces are well seasoned with plenty of garlic and just that little bit of spicy kick. Pizza has just enough grease without being soggy. Slices are big and toppings are plentiful. Pasta portions are big enough to bring home leftovers and all for a very reasonable price. Try their Sicilian slices. Sicilian style doesn't get enough love, and theirs is excellent. We've only dined in once, but the service was quick, friendly and attentive despite how busy it was. My wife had sampled a dish at the recent Taste of Waterford and didn't know which dish it was. Our waitress went through the menu with her and figured it out (it was the Penne a la Vodka). Be warned that although they deliver, they only accept cash for deliveries.

So I came back today and got the two slice pizza combo again. Very consistent flavor and quality. I also tried the Italian wedding soup, very good. The lunch combo is a good deal, but when you add $2.30 for soda, it makes it kind of pricey..just FYI :)

Goodfellas Pizzeria is rather decent. Since we live around the corner, it has become our go-to place when we want pizza, since Rob and I can't stand Papa John's. They also have some great lunch specials that are cheap and tasty. Rob likes the half chicken parmesan sandwich (6 in) with fries, and I like the 2 slices of cheese pizza with a salad (or soup). The garlic knots are also great. Service is always good, no matter how busy they are. The service is always attentive, helpful, and friendly. The ambiance leaves much to be desired, since it always seems to be very dark in there, and not in a romantic way. The one thing that annoys me about the place is that recently we've seen the same guy come to the restaurant at the same time as we do, always wearing a shirt that to us is offensive. He clearly knows the staff, and we're not sure if he's friends with the owner or related to someone or what. The first time his shirt said, "Save the world, convert a Muslim", for example. We just try to eat the good pizza and ignore him.

Pretty good pizza, kind of on the high end for pricing since they sell 16 inch pies. I say this because Giovanni's down the street charges the same price for an 18 inch, they both have coupons that are similar. I also like giovannis better then goodfellas. So we rarely go to goodfellas when we are in the area. They are better then average and sell wings, as well as other italian entries. Although wings at $8.95 per 10 isn't the best deal out there. Tip: Occasionly Publix next door has 20 wings for $7.95 that works sometimes as in this occasion. You pick up your pizza at goodfellas and your wings at Publix. Normal price $9.50.

LOVE the pizza! One of the best crusts I have had! It's crunchy, light and tasty! The toppings all are great quality! This is my new pizza place! The staff is friendly too! We watched them make our pizzas as we waited in front.

Overall: Great food AND desserts for a great price! I finally got the opportunity to try Goodfella's desserts after a great pizza dinner. My mom and I split the tiramisu and I wish I would have ordered my own because it was delectable. I am not sure if it is homemade, but it sure tastes like it. Wow! My boyfriend tried a slice of their cheesecake and that was delicious too. It was super creamy with a light graham cracker crust. Not only is the pizza great but the desserts are to die for too.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
