This particular Denny's is close to home and I have been coming here on and off for several years. Today my friend wanted some of their fries and asked me to stop there. As soon you walk in, you notice the smell from the carpet. Since the manager and I have had a good rapport, I spoke to her about the smell. She filled me in and gave me a card with the contact info to corporate. I posted a photo of the card she gave me and if you have noticed a smell as well, maybe you should inform corporate as well. I returned to my seat and my coffee was ready and waiting. I was in the mood for something light since it is time to shed a couple of these extra pounds... Yeah... Go on and laugh... I eat too much and exercise too little said the foodie to the flock... Large order of fries for my friend and a bottle of ketchup to boot! I tried the Fit scramble and in no time was our order ready... The Fit Scramble is egg whites, with spinach and grape tomatoes. two strips of turkey bacon, an English muffin and seasonal fruit. The Eggs were light and the spinach was nicely cooked. The bacon could have been a bit bit crispier in MY opinion but that is just how I like MY turkey bacon... The English Muffin could have been a wee bit crisper but it had plenty of butter... SMILE FIT MY FANNY!!! lol At least I did not order a side of hash to go with it... ROFL OK OK.... The apple, banana and grapes in the bowl could have been topped with a bit of lemon juice but was nice and ripe.. Our server could have checked in on us more because our cups ran empty.. Oh My... I will admit that for a healthy plate, it was pretty good but my chunky butt was left a bit hungry. That's probably a good thing... SMILE In ALL fairness this is the FIRST time I have EVER noticed a smell from the carpet BUT it has also been several months since I was last here for a spot of tea with the wife so I will ASSUME this is just a TEMPORARY situation with the carpeting... Hint Hint... By the way... My friend loved his fries... I sure hope the next time I show up the carpeting is either clean or gone and the setting on my table is clean. A little better inspection during the wrapping phase was certainly needed. Fortunately a clean setting was within reach at the next booth... I will give em time to fix what I smelled and will be back again to update you in the future...

Yuck! The service was terrible the night that we visited. Two servers were arguing about not wanting to serve my table and it was apparent that the one who got stuck serving us was unhappy. She never greeted us, just went straight into asking what we wanted to drink. My son and I were very polite despite her rude attitude. The food looked like it fell off of our plates and thrown back on before given to us. The coke was flat and the restaurant had a mildew smell with extremely dirty floors. If my young son didn't love Denny's as much as he does, we would've left as soon as we walked in. Will not be going back.

The prices are good but I have always had slow service. We had a bad experience our last visit and won't be back. There was only two other occupied tables when we arrived yet the food took ages to serve. We were missing an item and when the waitress informed the cook he screamed at her. We then found several hairs in our food (cook was not wearing hair net or beard cover, not sure what their rules are for this). The waitress offered to get us new food but our appetite was gone.

I think I gained twenty pounds just by reading the Denny's menu. After a glorious post-flight arrival midnight snack at Waffle House nearby, I couldn't possibly return 8 hours later for another round breakfast delights. So where else to go in this part of E. Colonial Drive? Mind you, we rented a car so driving about was certainly an option. But my stomach was growling and driving while hungry is nearly as bad as drinking and driving so two minutes out of the Radisson Parking lot and Denny's it is. We were promptly seated in the large cavernous arena of everything that's bad for you, given are very own booth. Double chocolate chip pancake puppies (which look a bit like beignets) called to me but I deflected. The All-American slam appealed to my patriotism but I did a Hanoi Jane and snubbed the ol' red, white and blue. Moons over my hammy omelette tried to woo me with the joy of the pun but I had to run to the next page of the menu. Whereby I discovered build your own pancakes. Do I dare cheat on waffle house so quickly after our last tryst? The answer was yes and the fine flapjack that caught my eye was named bananaberry. Why, it's even labeled as "Fit Fare" meaning I won't die of a heart attack upon impact. Since this is Denny's, of course my order of pancakes couldn't just be a large or short stack. Oh no, far better to fill my appetite with the addition of scrambled eggs , cheese grits and turkey bacon. Ok, perhaps we aren't quite as fit as originally intended. With the exception of the waiter failing to notice that we didn't have utensils and sparing me calories by botching my order and only giving me regular grits, service was quick and I readied my fork to plunge into the fluffy stack. And it was good. Illicit, illegal love right in the line of sight of Waffle House. Let's squirt some syrup and get sticky. Yes, I do like these pancakes. A forkful of sliced banana merged with blueberry infused pancake, topped with syrup is the first stop on the road to expanding waistline. Alas, the grits were on the average side, reminiscent of Quaker instant. (At least tease me with something creamier than what I can make at home!) Eggs were also tolerably rubbery. Perhaps I'm spoiled by my home cooking experiments of les oeufs brouilles that results in a creamy, fluffy scramble. The turkey bacon was an improvement and had hardly a hint of thanksgiving. So all in all , an experience made memorable by the pancakes. According to the Denny's website, planking is so 2011. 2012 is the year of pancaking. I leave it up to the reader to forward on that attempt at corporate driven internet memes.

The food was average. Not great but good. Eating here it's nothing that you will remember but it's going to fill you up if you're hungry. The service was bad, let me explain, the waiter was very polite, but they don't have enough personnel. Our waiter was the hostess, the cashier... I don't know if even the cooker!!!

The portion was smaller than the other Dennys i have been to. The tables around me were not cleaned and there were food on both of our seats. Our pancakes were not fluffy and were over cooked like our sausages which were hard and I mean hard and not juicy. One of my friends asked for lemon for his water but she forgot and when we reminded her she brought us two lemons that look like it had been in the sun since it was shriveled and dry looking. I like Dennys alot but this one was disappointing. I definitely wouldn't go back to this Denny's again.

My daughters school put on their big play of the year on Friday, Seusical jr. , and after the show we decided to go out to eat. One of my daughters friends mother said she wanted Denny's so we reluctantly went along. In the past Denny's offered a pretty good breakfast and passable late night fare and perhaps they still do at other locations, but this particular Denny's was terrible. First thing I noticed were the prices had skyrocketed. Yes, there was a special $2, $4, $6, $8 menu but the traditional grand slam breakfast wasn't available on those. It was on regular menu at $9. I settled on the three cheese melt with a cup of chicken noodle soup. The sandwich was dull and the soup came from a can. My Wife went for the chicken wings and had to send them back as they were raw the first time. When they returned they were cooked just enough to eat, but were flavorless. My daughter wanted a double cheese burger and since it was her special night I said fine. Well, it was $11.50 and looked pre-cooked and dry. Her fries were floppy and greasy. If you are hungry late at night (or anytime) I would avoid this particular Denny's If you drive down to University drive and make a left there are a number of much better options.

This is Denny's. You know what to expect before you get here. It was quiet when I got here. The server, Allison, was very attentive and pleasant. I had the Ultimate Skillet. It was a good size plate filled with a little bit if everything. Eggs over medium cooked correctly. Very good flavor. I always add hot sauce and they had Louisiana Gold.

It was 9:00PM. Let me start off with....I was NOT some obnoxious intoxicated college student going to Denny's after a night out in the UCF bars. I was there with my boyfriend after a long day of painting our new house and we wanted to go to Denny's for some breakfast food. We waited 30 minutes to have our order taken after we were seated. I was not happy because I had waited so long. The food was not bad, but the service was horrible. I saw other patrons get their order taken before mine was. The food is not worth the total 45 minute wait. Maybe it was just a bad night for the waitress? Who knows. Next time, I'll choose Steak N Steak next door over this particular Denny's.

When you go to Denny's you pretty much know what your in for. This location is old, and the carpet is smelly. yeah but you kind expect that from an old Denny's. You go there for comfort food at very reasonable prices. First I have to agree if you don't head towards the 2 4 6 8 menu your going to pay. We only really go to Denny's for the value slam at $4. You get two huge pancakes, 2 eggs, and two bacon or sausage. You can get the Eggs without the yoke if you ask. my daughter didn't want eggs and got hashbrowns instead. The waitress was quick and very nice. I'm not saying Denny's is a prime establishment, but its very affordable. If you are suprised by the decor not sure where you have been the last twenty years, most are like this one. They don't know how to make bacon, very tiny bacon slices.
