This is my first and last visit to this restaurant. They serve you chips that have more salt than a salt mine. Service is lacking and the salsa they serve is so spicy it must come straight from the bowels of hell and I like spicy but this is ridiculous. They served an overly spicy fajita dish to my wife and the manager attitude was that of someone who just does not care about a guest at their establishment. Like I said before first and last time I ever eat here. I think taco bell would have been a better choice.

Really great food and atmosphere!!! It's close to the airport and the prices are not inflated!

I got recommend by my boyfriends brother;we were going to chili's and were like let's try it out. We arrived were seated immediately and had a wonderful waiter by the name of Mitchell who provided me with one of the best services I ever had in a long time especially since I became a waitress myself and know what it really is to give great service. He was attentive and was the one who recommended me by entire meal which was fabulous I enjoyed every last bit of it. I had the new margarita a purple peach thing. The homemade chips which were so awesome I love me some good salsa. Guacamole was good as well pricey too.The main course was the steak fajitas for two which came with 6 handmade tortillas refried beans rice guacamole pico de gallo lettuce sour cream in and all do it yourself kind of way. The steak was brought out in a sizzling hot plate. It was a wonderful experience and I see myself coming me here every time I get that Mexican craving for dine in and pickup.

I had low expectations, but they far surpassed them. Great service, we had the Combo Fajitas and the Enchiladas call Chick A Boom Boom. Awesome. Lots of food, great pricing. Cold beer. Great new alternative out by the airport.

The foods not great here. Facilities are new which is nice. Service is friendly, but bad food. I had enchilada tacos and something else. #6. The food is just bland and no flavor. I expected more. Prices are okay. Lots of food but I left 1/2 of it.

I see this restaurant everytime I go home from work (Autonation Toyota Winter Park) I decided to come here for 5 de Mayo. I am glad that I did. Everything is home made and fresh. Huge portions and just simply delicious. I really recommend the Jalapeños sauce. Very delicious.

My family and I just ate dinner there. I have not been to a Chuy's in a few years since I was in Nashville. Now they have a location down the street from me. When we walked it in was busy but told us it was only a 15 mins wait. A server came and offer drinks for happy hour in the lobby area. Which was great and they had a nacho bar too. We got seated and the server was very pleasant. We got our drinks fast and ordered. Within 10 mins of ordering we got your food. It was hot and fresh and very yummy just like I remembered from Nashville. It was of food. I had to take some home. I will be going back again when I crave Tex mex

My husband and I decided to try. The chips and salsa came out very quickly. The chips are very thin but tasty, the salsa was hot and not very good. I asked for something milder to go with the chips. I was brought ranch dressing (called something else) and chili with beans (also called something else. Neither of these was what I wanted to dip tortilla chips in. I ordered the Chuychanga which is a chimichanga. I said I wanted a mild sauce, I didn't catch it soon enough to realize I was getting the chili and beans with my chimichanga. Again, not something I wanted on a chimichanga. I asked for a queso. The server told me it had a bit of a kick but I was willing to take a chance with my reflux to have some kind of sauce on it. The queso came and it looked like thousand island dressing and did not taste like queso cheese sauce. I wasn't pleased. The dinner came with charro beans, mexican rice and a bit of lettuce and tomatoes on the side. None of which were appealing. The rice was super dry and tasteless. The beans were meh. The lettuce and tomatoes weren't thrilling. The chimichanga itself was not even that tasty. Honestly, I've had much better many times. We checked out the dessert menu and I asked about ice cream with the sopapillas, they didn't have any. I later discovered they were not the traditional sopapillas that I'm accustomed to so they probably would have been good as they look like fritters with a sauce that comes with them. Anyways, we ordered the Tres Leches. It was fantastic. A large portion with sliced strawberries on top sitting in a pool of milk. Very moist, sweet and delicious. All in all, I would not go back because of the salsa/sauces. I think they are critical to eating Mexican food. And also the meal itself wasn't all that good. I say get some better salsa/sauces, expand the dessert menu and make the food better and I'd go back.

Our 3rd time here and like the two previous times, our dining experience was great. Everything is fresh and it tastes like it. I had fajitas this trip and they arrived sizzling and delicious. Hubby had flautas (again) and they were tasty and crispy. The iced tea is always fresh (you can always tell when it isn't! !!) and glass was replaced with another without having to ask. We had grandchildren with us and they had so many neat things to look at and talk about it kept their attention. Good childrens menu too. Gotta say- glad Chuys is in the neighborhood!

I got the Baja fish tacos while I was here. Don't make the same mistake, they tasted like frozen breaded fish fillets. Definitely far from fresh. There weren't many seafood options which was disappointing(maybe 2, one being the Baja Fish Tacos that I got). The beans were delicious, but not meant to be the highlight of my dish. If I decide to come back again hopefully it will be better.

I tried Chuy's finally and was very impressed! I tried the Chuymichanga and it was definitely something I will try again. When you get the chips, I would reccomend getting the creamy jalapeno dip. It was something that was suggested to me by a friend, and i truly loved it!

My birthday is tomorrow, so while my friend was in town we decided to go to this location yesterday because of the rave reviews. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, but our visit was horrible. After waiting for over an hour for our food, while watching tables around us being served, we finally were able to get our waitress to come over. She informed us that unfortunately the kitchen had lost our ticket and that none of the food had been made. We asked for a manager, and asked for at least some part of our meal for the elderly 90 year old grandma we had with us. After a feeble attempt to bring the grandmother's food, which was actually an incorrect version of what I had ordered, a gentleman said that he would get our food right out. After about another 10 minutes, everyone's food came except for mine. My food came out about 5 minutes later and the waitress informed us that our meal would be on the house due to the issues, however a manager never showed face to our table which I find absolutely repulsive when it comes to customer service. Part of our food was luke warm like it had been sitting under a heat lamp, while others came straight off the cook line. My chicken chimichanga, was basically all cheese with only a few small pieces of chicken, as was my friend's. Flavor was okay, but overall the food did not meet the reviews I've seen on Yelp. Needless to say, I'm grateful it was free and I will not come back nor recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

my take-out visit started out badly. three links i clicked on, including yelp, had a phone number that apparently isn't correct. for 20 minutes, i dialed this number and it rang and rang with no answer. i checked more links and finally found the correct number, which is 407 757 1025. be sure you use this number for any call-ins or questions. we ordered combinations nos. 2 and 8. i didn't find anything online, including the chain's website menu, which listed desserts. when i placed the order, i was told they serve tres leches cake, sopapillas and flan. we were assured the tres leches wasn't 'rich' but was sweet and creamy, so we went with that. i said i was placing the order for curb-side take-out at the beginning of the conversation. at the end, i was told i could come in or do curb-side. (duh!) i was told to call when i arrived because they can't see the cars. who designs a place with curb-side takeout where you can't see the cars??? i don't WANT to call and announce that i'm there!! but i did. and you should, too. i got the food home and found it to be barely warm, even tho my drive home was only 5 minutes. the enchildas in comb no. 2 were just fine, with enough filling and sauce to be tasty and satisfying, though none was outstanding and noteworthy. the 'ground sirloin' tacos that came one each with the combos were also filled just fine and tasty with nothing outstanding about them. the guac salad that came with the no. 8 was fresh and guacy delicious. the queso was great for dipping their thin, light chips in and added a punch to the tacos. missing from our order was the salsa part of the chips and salsa that are included with your order. that was ok this time because i had asked for extra pico. plus, we had a little cup of the creamy jalapeno sauce. we didn't ask for it, but were glad to have it. it was a cold, creamy sauce with a slight bit of heat which we enjoyed with the chips and on the tacos. i chose mexican rice and charro beans with the no. 2 combo. the rice was moist and fresh, the beans were lightly seasoned and very good. the highlight was the tres leches. you have to try it. it's a large hunk of super moist sweet cake that's plenty for two people, and it comes sitting in a bath of sweet cream sauce that's not too sweet or rich. the top of the cake (and the inside lid of the container, oddly) were drizzled with a light, not-too-sweet caramel sauce with thin strawberry slices. the coolness and sweetness (but not too sweet) were a perfect ending. NOTE: nowhere online did i find an upcharge for take-out orders, nor was i told. i happened to see on the to-go menu that was stapled to one of the bags that they add a charge of 6 percent to all to-go orders. this practice is one that gets under my skin, especially when i'm not warned in advance. i tipped the order-bringer $3 and now think i didn't have to. it doesn't say if the take-out fee goes to the runner or if it's for the cost of boxes and utensils. our total order was a few cents less than $30, which without drinks seems high, considering the two entrees amounted to only $19. i'll have to check on the price of the cake. overall, there is nothing bad nor extraordinary about this place. i'm sure we'll go again, but not for a while. next time, we'll eat it there and see if they do any better. don't forget: if you get curb-side take-out, be sure to call again when you arrive.

This place is fantastic. Has only been open a week. Food is great and the staff is excellent!! Price was about what was expected. Side note - I noticed the staff cleaning a table off and actually used a spray bottle of sanitizer on the table. No old and dirty wet towels used to clean a table.

Awesome mexican food! They make their tortillas fresh. My personal favorite are the chile rellenos. Fresh roasted peppers, really flavorful and well deveined and seeded. A wide selection of made from scratch sauces.

There were 9 in our party we all loved the food! our server Kristen was amazing the staff kept the chip basket and salsa filled. We went on a sat night at 6 and had a wait time of 30 min which i didnt think was too bad for our large party. We went to the new location on Semeron

I really like this place. The wait staff is awesome! Guacamole and salsa is to die for. My first time here I had the flautas which were so so. I was expecting deep fried and it was like a healthy version. I liked the chimichanga much better. My kids loved the kids menu. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Unmemorable food at best. Having lived in Texas for 9 years, I'm very surprised that this place started in Texas. The only thing I can figure is that they bland it up for Florida residents. I know the quality of Outback, Carrabba's, and Texas Roadhouse suffer here in Florida, and the excuse the managers always give us is "people complain that there's too much seasoning, so we had to lighten up on it". But what about those of us who love seasoning? People should just order bland items if that's what they want. But I digress. I did want to mention that our waiter, Jonathan, was superb, and if I ever set foot in that place again, I would want him to wait on me. I was also happy with the atmosphere. Now if they can just season the food!

Tasty food. Large quantities. And mixed drinks that don't skimp on the "sauce". A small warning, even the chips and salsa had some good heat. But if you are willing to brave the heat and the crowd, the place is new, I recommend Chuy's.

I only gave this place 1 star because I couldn't write a review with at least 1 star. As soon as you sit, the server brings over salsa and chips, but forgets to mention that the salsa is HOT! I asked my server about a dish, and she just says I don't like enchiladas so I don't know. Seriously? I order the beef fajitas, service was fast, but the steak was super spicy as well! The chips they serve are loaded with salt. You have to scrape the salt off to be able to eat them. The manager came by, could hardly hear him because of the music. I hope they can fix these issues, it's a beautiful restaurant. I won't be back.

Just went here again and had amazing service!!!! Not only was our waiter super attentive but when my son made a sad face about the sauce that smothered his meal, he kindly told my son he would make him a new one and was so kind about it! We are regular customers now. love it!

I heard great things about this place, so I decided to try it. We went on a Friday, right before happy hour ended at 7. We sat down in the bar at 6:55 and waited for someone to come to our table. When our waitress finally came, we asked her if we were too late for happy hour. She said we had about 10 seconds, so we ordered margaritas. She then said "I'm sorry, it's over now. Next time just go to the bar if you're waiting"... So why wouldn't you just tell us that before ordering? The food is ok..the prices are good for some things, really expensive for other things. Overall, I probably won't rush back again soon. I did like the decor of the place though. It felt like a diner.

Our dining experience tonight at Chuy's was nothing short of exceptional. Our server, Donna, was so friendly and genuine I would go back just to interact with her again! The tortilla chips and salsa brought out when we first sat down were amazing--the chips were hot, salty, and light, and the salsa was fresh with just the right amount of heat. The drinks we ordered were superbly crafted and very reasonably priced. I personally had their Mexi-Cobb salad, so cannot speak to the quality of their "actual" food, but heard from my two dining partners that their rice, beans, tacos and enchiladas were all above average. The salad itself was served in a very generous portion, the quality of the ingredients were top notch, and the cilantro vinaigrette and creamy jalapeño dressing were very flavorful. What really sold me about Chuy's was the ambiance. The pleasantness of the staff, the wonderful music that was playing at just the right loudness, and the playful decor really set the tone for our night. The silverware came in sealed packages that stated it had been sanitized, the math was done for our checks (45.60 + 15% tip = 52.44, for example) and you can just tell that someone cares about you having a pleasant experience. Will definitely be revisiting Chuy's, and requesting Donna again.

Cold food. Charrro beans is nothing more than spicy broth with four or five beans in it.....and that is a double portion (replacing rice). Strike three....they're out. The strike is well deserved.

My husband and I have been here now four times - keep giving it a chance because the Queso is so good. Service sucks. No other way to put it. The reason being isn't even at times for the actual server. Take today for instance - our waitress was noticeably sat 5 tables in a span of 5 minutes. As a previous server I know that can get hectic and we were the last to be greeted by her. Her fellow co workers though stood not but two feet from us and didn't even offer to get us water. One server finally brought us chips and salsa after she asked her to but still didn't ask "hey can I get yalls drink order" to help out. Previous time we were there this also happened - waitress had a huge party and I asked a server to get us some napkins instead of just going to get them himself I watched him walk over and tell her to do it. Obviously there are growing pains when it comes to a new place opening but you can't change servers willingness to help each other out without being asked. (Oh and tonight our food was delivered to table beside us and literally taken away walked back to kitchen and brought back to us... Yeah we saw that)

During happy hour they have a free nacho bar in the bar area. Happy hour is 4 to 7. Don't remember if this is only m-f or includes weekends. All of the bar area is open seating including the high tops and booths. Staff is friendly. Since it just opened I will have to wait and see if the staff develops an attitude like a lot of the chain places here have.

I went to Chuy's for the first time today. The chicken fajitas were pretty good. The chicken was tender and not overly seasoned. The flour tortillas are homemade and delicious. A must try is the tres leches cake, it's amazing!

Vacationing and came across this place! Loved it all! Hostess had a sweet open personality, our waiter Devon was very friendly and informative about all our questions. Drinks were AMAZING! The atmosphere is cute and colorful, definitely kept our boys (6 & 2) busy. Once we come back to visit, we will be returning to enjoy it all over again.

So me and my wife decided to try this place out because my brother had recommended it to me. First off when we arrived the place was nearly packed to the brim, regardless of this we were escorted by a hostess to a private booth almost as soon as we walked in, the waiter was prompt friendly and seemed to be able to answer any question we shot at him, so we decided to let him pick our food, he recommended the fajitas for two which I have to admit we're a smash hit. Delicious Mexican food at a reasonable price

I have been to this location twice now and I would go back again. The first time we had the combo fajitas for two and started with guacamole. I have to admit the guac wasn't very flavorful and was overpriced for what you receive (other restaurants have table side fresh made guac for the same price). The fajitas were pretty good... I preferred the steak (you can tell its been marinading and is flavorful) over the chicken. The second time we went we got steak fajitas for two because my boyfriend agreed that the steak were much more flavorful than the chicken and started with the queso. I enjoyed the quest especially if you ask for a side of flour tortillas to have with it. The flour tortillas are made fresh there and have a bit too much flour? coating them for my liking but they are at least freshly cooked.

I'm not really one to get excited about food establishments that are near the airport, but it was a Sunday and I was tired and hungry after a long flight. I've never heard of Chuy's before but its Yelp rating was good so we decided to try it out. This is a large restaurant and we didn't wait at all, which was nice. Their salsa is terrific and they make all their corn and flour tortillas fresh at the front of the restaurant. Fresh tortillas are the best! Our server was incredible. She took time to tell us about the menu and their sauces (all of them are free, just ask for some) and even let us know that they made all their food completely fresh. Nothing was packaged or microwaved. Their food was pretty good and their sangria was also excellent. I am looking forward to my next flight so I can come home and visit this place again!

Yum! They have awesome frozen margaritas, but they have a ton of sugar in them so you'll feel terrible soon after if you have more than one 'cause they're pretty big. The portions are pretty big and they have a lot of awesome sauces. The free chips and salsa is def my favorite part :)

One of the better tex mex restaurants in Orlando. Great friendly staff and atmosphere. Fresh ingredients including the house made tortillas. Being from the west I've had my share of Mexican food and encourage Chuys . Fair pricing, easy place to find with generous parking available.

We live 4 miles from a Chuy's in Katy, Tx. and when we seen this one by our motel we couldn't get there fast enough. Love their food, absolutely love their jalapeno ranch dip. We have many places We like to eat when in Orlando but now with Chuy's we are going to have to squeeze in a couple three times more on each visit

Came shortly after they opened and had a great experience. Today 50 minute wait to receive our food and the meal was subpar. The waiter was not equipped to respond adequately to the service irregularities.

Love this place! Food was so good and service was great considering it was so busy. I had the chicka - chicka boom boom enchilada. Lots of food and my daughter was stuffed from the kid burrito. Plus, It was refreshing to see such a diverse wait staff.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
