Pretty average, run of the mill, Americanized Chinese food. I've only ever gotten delivery, and the food comes fast and hot, which is nice. I like their hot and sour soup. The General Tso is what you would expect flavor wise, big chunks of chicken, not alot of sauce, but not dry. The veggie lo mien is pretty good too. What's nice is they offer half-orders, which is why they get that 3rd star.

I feel the same way as the other two posters. It is run of the mill average Chinese. The freshness and quality is a little dubious but it is good for an emergency Chinese fix. There are other better places in town by far!

I think they've changed the manager or the chef because the last time I was there everything was fresh and flavourful. it's a small restaurant but everything is nice and clean, the lunch buffet is not big, just the basic chinese selection,General tso, peanut chicken(delicious)fried rice, sweet&sour chicken, pepper steak, chicken and broccoli, chicken wings, etc, they sort small portions of fresh food in the buffet so everything is just made, lunch buffet is really cheap and this option is better than having Mc Donald's

I was looking for a place that would deliver and had a hunkering for some Chinese food and stumbled upon this place. I expected the typical greasy Chinese food you tend to find here in orlando but was quite presently surprised to find that not the case. Their fried rice was clean with good flavor and none of the excess grease I had grown accustomed to. Their vegetables were crisp and fresh tasting and not completely drowned in sauce. Overall great food, will buy again.

Got some take-out from here and I am extremely happy to say that this place uses REAL authentic sushi rice. For the last 2 years all the sushi joints and fancy Japanese restaurants I've been to has used americanized sushi rice and the taste is completely different from real sushi rice. Their seaweed also tasted really fresh. I also ordered a half order of bourbon chicken and I have a lot leftover from it! It really is a good deal. The chicken tastes like the kind you can get at a chinese restaurant at a mall, which I personally love the flavor. Will be back for more sushi and more dishes, definitely.

Lunch buffet is affordable and excellent quality. They do not sacrifice quantity over quality. Anything empty on the buffet just ask and they will refill it. Regular sit down dishes are also very tasty and generous in portion.

Had the lunch buffet, food that was fresh was hot and pretty tasty, problem is despite the high number of people eating the buffet, some items were never replaced. I am still waiting for more sushi to try and some more boneless ribs. It's passable, a good price, and decent selection for such a small buffet area, but they really need to rotate the food more often.

I've seen the mixed reviews about Cheng's. Personally, I have had no issues with them. Then again I've been a delivery and pick up customer. Couldn't tell you about dining in. From what I've aeen when I've stopped by to pick up orders, it's clean, well lit and not crowded with the exception of lunch time. Food is MSG free and I find it to be savory, and aromatic. Considering I've ordered from about 3 other Chinese places over the years while living on this side of town, this is the first time (outside of Chinatown in NYC) I've encountered Chinese food that smells and tastes different from the others here. Prices are fair and the portions are generous, I will warn you though. Delivery can be slow. Like an hour wait slow. But, hey...order early and that's all. :)

Ordered from Cheng's using Grub Hub. Delivery was timely and friendly. That's the reason why I gave them 2 stars. The food, on the other hand... I ordered Kung Pao Chicken Combo, Spicy Tuna Roll, and BBQ Spare Ribs. Everything was awful. From the dishes listed above, to the stale won ton noodles, to the fortune cookies. Did I mention the rubbery, inedible spare ribs? The tasteless Kung Pao? The soggy greasy egg rolls? The hard tasteless fried rice? The indelible sushi? When I'm back at a hotel near MCO on business in the future, I'd rather go hungry than order from Cheng's.

If you like the taste of dog food and smell of cat food this is the place!! I ordered general tso chicken and shrimp fried rice for take out, when I got home opened my container-omg! They threw shrimp on top and called it shrimp fried rice then i tasted the chicken... Not sure what it was! I automatically thought cat/dog because of them smell and disgusting taste. Threw it all away! $13.86 down the drain!! Never again will I go to this place. Hop Bo around the corner fresher and u can see them cook in kitchen. This place goes behind doors!!! Not to mention this place a little more pricey...considering cat meat is considered a cuisine type of meat in China! This explains it!!!

Ordered food from Cheng's via Eat 24, the food was good and delivery was pretty fast (Between 35-45 min). They forgot all the condiments that we requested but we have a stash of duck sauce and etc I will definitely try them again.

Cheng's offers good American-Chinese food at an affordable price. Their buffet, which costs less than $7, has quite an assortment of delicious options. Restaurant staff are friendly and attentive, taking the initiative to refill buffet items before they've been depleted so the food is always fresh and hot.

Cheng's has been my go-to Chinese restaurant since I moved to Orlando a couple of years ago. Granted, this is partially because it is in my neighborhood, but I believe that even living in another part of town I would come back often. The food is affordable and decent quality Americanized Chinese. Their takeout is definitely great, and the delivery man is very friendly, but make sure you visit for the lunch time buffet from 11:30 to 2pm. All you can eat for $6.50. Even if the quality isn't always the best, the price is tough to beat (and it pretty much always tastes good).

Ordered food at 6:20 and was told the wait would be 45 minutes. Called an hour later to be told they are short diver an the wait would be longer. NEVER GOING TO EAT HERE AGAIN! It's the same lame excuse for poor service each time! No more chances. Only eat here if you don't mind waiting an hour and a half for 3 sushi rolls and fried rice!

Crap food rice tastes like a box or even the frozen Chinese rice you buy in the frozen aisle! Food has no real Chinese food taste you have grown to LUV mostly New York style Chinese. Terrible STAY AWAY!!!

Best Asian food I have had in a while, plus they have online ordering. The speed of the delivery was a little faster than expected too... All things considered, I love this place and will be ordering from them again in the near future BTW: Try the "California & Florida" sushi rolls together. It's "East coast Vs West coast" sushi style. ;)

I work close by and the guys in my office eat at Cheng's at least once a week. (So I end up tagging along about once a month.) The lunch buffet is a good deal, $6.90. The buffet is small but has all of the standard Chinese fast food. There is a small selection of sushi on the buffet. I am pretty fussy about buffets and this one is clean and the food is fresh. The employees always remember us and are very friendly.

I started going to Chengs because I read really good online reviews about them. I will not lie, their food is amazing. However my most recent experience has given me no other choice but to delete their phone number and look for another Chinese spot. It wa Easter Sunday. A lot of places were closed. I called Chengs at 5:13pm to place an order. The same lady who works the cash register at the front answered. I know it was her because her voice is very distinct. I was told it would be 45 min to an hour. 6:15 came and still no food. I gave them the benefit of the doubt being that it was a holiday and waited a few more minutes. 6:45, I call them. The same lady asks for my address and then tells me its on its way. It is now 7: 30 and still no food. When I call a third time to find out what's going on, the same lady tells me she does not have an order for me and she might have "skipped" my order. GOOD customer service would have been a guarantee that the order is going out FREE of charge. That was not the case. I kept being accussed of maybe calling "another" restaurant or maybe dialed a "wrong" number, even after she admitted that she might have "skipped" the order. For this reason and this reason alone I refuse to ever call them again. I told her I was very disappointed and would be deleting their number, and she was very flippant like she did not care. A good restaurant will OWN UP to their mistake. It was Easter Sunday and all I wanted was a meal to share with my partner and we ended up having to order Pizza, when we really wanted Cheng's Chinese. Needless to say, I will NEVER order from them again.

Hour delivery. Order was wrong . No drinks . Ordered it on line hopping they would get it right . Good food . wasn't in a hurry just wanted my drinks . They did bring them . No change for a 20 . Said he would have to walk all the way to his car to get it . Tuna was worth the 28 bucks I spent on dinner for one . Tons of food would of feed 6 .

We are in a hotel for the night before leaving Orlando and just wanted to stay in. Chose Cheng's because it was on our hotel's recommended delivery list. The Yelp reviews were mixed, but decided to give it a shot. After an hour without our food, I called Cheng's to check. Without asking my name or number just said, "it will just be 5-10 more minutes". When I asked again, he asked my name and said he would call his driver to find out and then call me back. I didn't get a call back, but the food arrived 10 minutes later. Food is so-so. The batter on the fried honey ginger chicken is mushy. My kids aren't eating much of their dinner. But I do have to say the portion sizes are generous. We over ordered way too much.

happy we found another Chinese delivery place near us since most don't deliver to this area.. We got their lunch specials and the prices are not too bad for the amount of food u get.. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, General Taos Chicken, & Bourbon Chicken.. All had good flavor and rice was good.. I special ordered rice without veggies and everything came correct (most places don't, so that's a plus!).. The eggrolls are good also just small compared to other places & just cabbage not to much filling but they were crispy & good..

I really enjoy chicken and broccoli here but make sure you dine in because deliveries can be up to an hour. Love the food but you need to remember to ask for soy sauce and chopsticks. If I didn't have to remember all of that then 4 stars for sure!

Not my favorite Chinese spot in Orlando, but it's my favorite that delivers to my area! On those rough days after a hard days work, you don't want to cook or go out to eat... Chengs Chinese is the one we call for good Chinese food, delivered. Using their online ordering it's really fast delivery I notice!

cool online ordering.. delivery with in 6.5 miles of the store.. Everything came quickly and was delicious.. I had three lunch entrees and it was like a big heavy bag full of food for $22.00 dollars delivered.. I will be back.. Have I found my May Sum replacement?? Man I hope so............ Ordered again in January of 2014 and all the food was very good.. Beef and broccoli, Pepper Steak and Mongolian beef.. All combo platters with fried rice, soup, and egg roll.. The sauces were thick and flavorful again.. I really like this place and oh the chicken wing appetizers are a great value..

Ever since our go-to chinese delivery place closed down we've been in limbo looking for a new one. I found this one on Yelp, and am happy. The food has actual flavor, it doesn't just taste like oil like some take-out places I have tried, the delivery is quick (and we're on the outskirts of their zone), and you can even place orders online (great, because we hate holding on to paper menus). Is it PF Changs? NO. Is Americanized Chinese food? YES. And for what it is, it's good. I've tried the following: Ribs: 3/5 (a bit dry) Scheczuan Shrimp 5/5 (really good, not too spicy though) Sesame Chicken 5/5 (big chunks of chicken, and the breading is almost doughnut like) Wonton Soup 5/5 (one of the best take out ones I've had, it's not just salt water)

I've tried to like this place... I really have. It's conveniently located to my condo and is an easy choice when neither my boyfriend or I feel like cooking or leaving the complex to grab dinner. However, the food is just not that good. I have tried 5 different entrees: spareribs, general tsos chicken, honey garlic chicken, garlic chicken, and beef and broccoli... The spareribs are the best of those and they are mediocre. The rice really isn't that tasty too. The chicken and beef are so heavily breaded that I'm pretty sure I just ate breading and no actual meat. The flavor is either WAY too spicy or not enough flavor. Huge disappointment :(

Awesome place for good Chinese food. I came here with some friends and had a great time. They have a ton of great choices on the menu and the service was super friendly. They are pretty quick as well and the place was clean. Had an awesome experience with a good meal, so can't go wrong.

Have been ordering from here off and on over the past 7 years. Not the best. Not the worst. Good General Tso chicken. Good General Tso shrimp. House fried rice was not very flavorable, even after 5 different times lately......( been trying to find a replacement for May Sum, since they closed). I have never eaten inside. I have only ever had delivery or take out. It is always hot. The delivery staff is always nice.

Best for delivery! Free delivery on Grub Hub and their sushi is delicious! I have been to a lot of other sushi places in Orlando and either they suck or they are horribly expensive. I have never had sushi this good for the price. You have to try their Dragon Roll.. it is amazing!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
