I am a fan of cheddars. I am not typically into chains but from the lunch I had, I am glad I gave them a shot. I had the Tuscan Chicken sandwich. Marinated chicken, topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a basil pesto mayo! All on foccacia bread. Yum! I got slaw for a side, which when I asked "how was the slaw?", the server said "its like KFC's". Which she was 100% accurate on that, it tastes just like KFC's slaw. So, I don't think its made in house, and you either love it or you don't. Service was good. She was helpful, friendly and made sure I had enough to drink. No complaints. The sandwich was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and ingredients went very well together. My only gripe is that the bread was soggy on the bottom from the juices. I can accept a certain level of sogginess but this was excessive. Other than that, I loved it and look forward to another visit to try something else.

The new Cheddar s is crowded every weekend. Food & Prices are good! I tried their "Montecristo Sandwich and Creamy potato soup" and their Painkiller drinks are huge! East Orlando needs these new restaurant additions!

I came here with my family on a Sunday night. The good is that the drink prices are pretty amazing, particularly considering how huge they are. Also, our server was pretty perky and friendly and seemed to be trying her best to help us despite the slowness and seeming ineptness of their kitchen. For the food, the spinach dip and off-the-cob corn were good. The rest was nearly inedible. When the food arrived, only 4 out of 5 plates showed up and one of them was stone cold. The rest were just barely warm. The cold pasta got sent back and showed up 10 minutes later along with the final dish that appeared to have just been cooked. Two of the dishes - chicken pasta alfredo and the key west chicken and shrimp - were way over salted, as was the rice and beans side. The ribs were fatty and really light on the sauce and the mac and cheese was rather pasty. The server had told us the manager would come speak to us about the cold pasta, but no one ever came and no adjustment was made to our check, which took a while to show up. The restaurant was freezing (but this seems to be a general problem in Orlando) so we just paid and left. We won't be back.

After driving back from St Petersburg earlier in the day, neither of us felt like cooking dinner tonight. We set out for a burger at The Oblivion Taproom but changed our minds at the last minute and decided to just turn into Cheddar's since it has been a while. Mama and I have been long time fans of Cheddar's BUT this is now my third trip to this location and I can't picture myself returning after today... After moving here from Texas, we would get our Cheddar's fix at the Sanford location when it opened. It was a wee bit different than the Texas locations but there were a few minor changes. A week after this location opened, we dropped in and since they were new, we expected it to be crazy busy BUT ALL of the Texas locations we have ever been to and even the Sanford location was a CRAZY BUSY dinner hour. A wait was just expected... When we pulled in, we were surprised how empty the lot was BUT we just figured it was the rain. We went in and the hostess greeted us immediately. My wife requested a booth, the hostess took us to a booth in the bar without asking if we had a preference. There was one service on the table and the hostess said she'd return with another. That never happened! Our server came to the table and took our drink order and never noticed the missing service. When she returned with our drinks my wife requested a second service. We ordered a bowl of their Baked Potato soup along. Mama wanted the Jalapeno Cheeseburger and I asked for the Smokehouse Burger. We were trying to save room for dessert for a change... lol When we received the second service, it turned out her fork was dirty and my knife was also dirty. Our server never even asked how we wanted our burger cooked. A few minutes later she returned to ask if we wanted the soup as an appetizer and we said yes. Our soup arrived and my wife's soup was placed with the soup spoon away from her. Her packet of crackers was stale and both bowls had soup slopped on the sides of the bowls. We never said a word about the soup but I did request a second service and gave the dirty silverware to the server. The brought another service and it was clean. The Cheddar's we remember would have never let this bowl out of the kitchen. The flavor of the soup was EXACTLY what we remember BUT over the soup bowls have shrunk quite a bit over time. The "Cups" used to be just a bit smaller than this bowl and the "Bowl" used to be one of the large soup bowls. They used to offer sour cream for your soup. The burgers were NOT the same burgers that kept me loyal to Cheddar's. Both burgers were well done and the meat was not seasoned in either burger. The size of the burgers used to be much larger than the burgers served tonight. If you look at the photos, they were slopped together and no care was given to the presentation. Cheddar's used to have MUCH higher standards than this... The jalapeno's were overcooked to the point that they were hard according to my wife and they bite I took of her burger confirmed that. I let my server know what we thought of tonight's meal and she offered to get the manager. She was very good at handling the situation and but the problems I have seen go way over her pay grade. I had already made up my mind this would likely be my last trip to this location so I declined. Since I knew the manager I chose to just talk to him after paying for my meal. We requested to see Cat and the hostess went to get him. He came out front with us and we told him about tonight and I showed him the photo's of the meal we were served. I had met him my first trip to this location but in spite of a very bad start, I gave them 2 more chances. My wife has been loyal to them for over 15 years and I started going there in 2004. I will visit one of the other Cheddar's to see if it is just this store or if this is coming from the top. If the other locations operate in this manner, I will be crossing them off my list in spite of how much we love their potato soup! Service - 3 Soup - 3 Burger - 2 Presentation - 2

Came here for lunch. Wait for five was about five minutes. Decor: 4/5 -The large booths can comfortably seat 6 -There are large tables for 10 Service: 4/5 -Food came out decently quick, within 10-15 mins of ordering. Food: 5/5 -Spinach Dip was great. Not as watery as some other places. Great flavor, not too salty. Perfect for sharing -Country Chicken Fried Chicken for 9.99 is the best bang for the buck. You get two huge pieces of juicy plump chicken and two sides. -Strawberry Lemonade was a bit sweet and the chunks of strawberry makes it hard to sip with a straw.

The reason why I'm writing a review is because our server, Collin, was amazing! Usually, when I've come in groups, service is ok and someone ends up mad or without their food. But Collin was great! He introduced himself in a friendly manner, brought our food on time, and was really polite and caring. Also, our food was amazing! Would definitely come back :) P.S. be careful with the floor, I almost fell because it's slippery.

I waited and dined a few times before finally writing a review for the suddenly popular Cheddars. My personal experience is that it's really hit or miss here. The first time I dined here I had a wonderful experience. Their Mexican soup was fabulous, but then on another occasion it was salty beyond words. I once ordered their miso glazed salmon off the low calorie menu and it came with broccoli and ginger rice. The rice tasted nothing like ginger, while the broccoli was so over cooked that it would fall apart to mush when I tried picking it up with a fork. The piña colada was weak, and my friend and I joked that it was the best coconut smoothie ever. Because the food isn't consistent in quality or taste, it's difficult to give them anything more than three stars.

Pretty good bang for your buck. The portions are big enough that I always have leftovers. Their Asian salad is pure craziness and deliciousness! I also enjoy their "lighter" option menu as well. The spicy shrimp and lemon pepper white fish....Yum! Their cocktails are insanely huge and we'll priced. My favorite is the Sangria Frozen Swirl which is a combo of Margarita and sangria for less than $5 bucks. They usually have a wait to sit in eat. So be prepared check out bar seating.

Best Cheddar's I have ever been to. I have been to ones in Kentucky, Florida and Michigan and this is by far the best! Our waiter was really friendly. The onion rings are fantastic. It's like a pile of glory right in front of you. The food was really good. Great environment. Nice people. We got extras drinks to go from the waiter when we didn't even ask. I would go here any time I could if I got the chance. It was awesome.

I love going here. Everything here is really good. I usually get the salmon with bourbon glaze and it's really good. They're rice that they have is yummy! The drinks are all really good and such a good price! Everything on the menu has such great prices. Sometimes the service can be slow and sometimes it can be fast. Downfall is they don't take reservations. So you have to wait during busy times. They have a cookie desert that takes about 15 minute to Bake freshly so you have to let them know ahead of time but it's really good!

Keeping my eye on this place. I came here earlier to eat with the dad and the grandparents. First notice, it was extremely loud. We came on a Sunday afternoon, so I don't want to overthink it, but we had to speak very loudly just to communicate across the table. Server was extremely nice! Now we get to the important part, the food. 3/4 of the table wanted baby back ribs. Everyone orders and the server comes back with the sad news, "I'm so sorry, we're out of ribs." Now, a little disappointing but we decided to push on and find other things to order. We got our food and bam, delicious. Personally, I got the steak and chicken tenders combo with broccoli and the loaded baked potato. The chicken tenders stood out as they were absolutely tasty. Crispy and fluffy. The broccoli portion was large, better than most restaurants! Desert of chocolate cake was huge, also a bigger portion and higher quality than most other dine in's. Overall, enjoyable time. Food is fantastic, employees are nice, atmosphere would be much better if it wasn't so loud, but I'm sure it's better at different times of the restaurant. If it's busy, they must be doing something right.

Went here on a Monday afternoon for lunch and some drinks. Our server, Denise, was great however the food, not so much. I ordered the small Texas cheese fries as an appetizer and it doesn't compare to Ale House loaded fries. The ranch was also very watery. For my entree, I ordered the New Orleans Cajun Pasta; the pasta itself had a nice amount of spice and flavoring to it but the chicken and shrimp on top of my pasta was extremely salty even after I tossed everything together. Side note - I was about 2 drinks and a shot of Patron in and could still taste the saltiness! Overall, I enjoyed the ambience and how cheap our check was. I will definitely be coming back to try something different and making sure I tell them to hold the salt.

I wanted to like this place but they messed up my food and the server ,was really hard to get. My meat was totally undercooked in spite of asking for medium well, and my steak and ribs were ice cold when they served it. The server took it out to heat it up and one of the ribs were missing when she brought it back , at this point my wife had finished her food long before I could get started. Wasn't going to come back to this location but one of the managers ( Cat Alvarez) was extremely pleasant and convinced me to give it another try. Since everybody deserves a second chance , we will give it one more chance , but in comparison with the cheddars by the airport, this one is like the far crappier version of the original, food-wise , and service-wise.

Best restaurant to eat at around in East Orlando! They have the best menu as far as price and variety! Do yourself a favor and try the sweet croissants! So yummy!!! my server was very hands on and attentive, I believe his name was Bo. Tall guy with blonde hair and a beard, he provided great service and I will probably request him when I come back! Only reason I gave it four stars and not five is the hosts were a little rude and seemed annoyed they had to end their conversation to seat me.

I came here for the first time last night with my boyfriend around 8pm. We were seated quickly and given ample time to look over the menu options. I really wanted a burger but on the menu it said they cook them to medium well and I like my meat still running. When I mentioned this to my boyfriend, he said it's a sign that the quality of their meat isn't too great if they have to cook it so well. I was disappointed because I was craving a juicy burger but I didn't want one over cooked and end up hating it. Nothing else on the menu really sparked my interest but I finally decided on the grilled salmon on a bed of rice with green beans and french fries as my side. My boyfriend ordered the beer battered fried shrimp with coleslaw and cocktail sauce. The food was okay. Nothing to brag about. My salmon fillet wasn't overcooked and the rice and french fries were alright but the green beans looked and tasted like they came out of can (ick). My boyfriend's fried shrimp however, came plain (they were supposed to come with sauce) and the coleslaw somehow upset his stomach. If I come back it'll probably be for appetizers and drinks. I wasn't crazy about any of the other menu options and their drink prices looked pretty reasonable. If you've seen a Cheddar's restaurant from the outside, the inside reflects that same, modern American, Texas-style fancy steakhouse look. It has a large fish tank in front, beautiful wooden tables and gorgeous stone walls. I'd give this place another go. Maybe happy hour!

I work nearby this location and had been eagerly waiting for them to open. We went in December of 2014 on a very crowded night. The interior of the restaurant is lovely they have a beautiful fish tank and bar area and even details like the ceiling were not overlooked. Their cocktail selection was great, and my hubs who is more of a drinker ordered a few and I tasted a few... All were awesome. As for their menu: they're all over the place they have a large selection of southern dishes, but also serve steaks, ribs, and pasta. I ordered a half sandwich and a baked potato soup. Both items were good, but not out of this world. I had originally asked my server if I could get a side of onion rings and she said sure. But then came out ten minutes later telling me that the onion rings were only for appetizers. So I then was put in a position of having to choose something else. So I got stuck with the soup because none of their other choices interested me. I'm also not the biggest fan of potatoes (I'm weird, I think they're a filler vegetable). My husband ordered steak and shrimp his steak was overcooked, and the shrimp didn't have any seasoning. Overall our experience wasn't bad, we got to try a new place, but I wasn't wowed either. I don't think I'll come back, but I wouldn't be upset if the stars aligned themselves and I returned again either. I would probably just have to really analyze the menu and choose better.

The honey butter croissants are great! The servers are very friendly. My issue is with the huge amount of onions in the food. It seemed there was more onions than rice in my serving of rice. Also, way too many onions in the green beans. My daughter loved the chicken tenders but said her Mac and cheese was too runny.

Great place to have a casual but delicious dinner! This place just reopened in the end of 2014. It is always packed at dinner time but whenever you arrive before 6pm you should be fine. The interior is nice and the service friendly! We usually share the ribs and steak combo because the portions are huge (they come with two sides). The chicken tender appetizer is a must eat as well. The cocktails are extremely cheap for what you get (they are huge and sooo tasty). I can highly recommend to try the painkiller and the margaritas! Cheddars is a must try, but be aware of long waiting times around dinner time!

I've almost become a regular at this place with my co-workers. We've all tried almost everything on the menu and it's all been good so far. The design and feel of the place is very clean and upper class. The wait staff has all been very positive and quick. With a place that has most of its menu under $10 you'd expect small portions. However, they certainly don't skimp when it comes to that. They give good portions and it's really good food. You can't ask for a better deal. The only thing though is that you'll be waiting at least 20 minutes to sit during peak dinner hours and lunch hours. Overall though this restaurant is very good.

I have actually dined at both locations in Orlando and it is not bad for your typical chain restaurant. Food is decent and portions are large. A family can actually dine for a decent price and enjoy the nice ambiance. The wait could be a little long if you arrive during dinner hours so you might want to get there a little early. Once you place your order, the wait is not very long though. Service was good and there is a variety of items to order on the menu. They have good happy hour specials and bartenders pour quite generous. I did try the "painkiller" drink you are only suppose to have two of and it was delicious, definitely a reason to stop by and try it out. I recommend at least trying it once. The Semoran location is very close to the airport so if are travelers and are looking for a decent place to eat and drink, this is a place to try.

The food is good. Service very good. Time for food to come out is slow but they are very busy with lunch. Lose 2 stars because they do not have WiFi. I will not come here for business lunches because of this. Most tablets require it to get information.

Great service and atmosphere, horrible food. My friend and I had high hopes for Cheddars as it opened next to his job but left super disappointed. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very sweet and attentive but were unimpressed when our food came. The waitress gave us a spiel about how 90% of the food is made from scratch, so we must have ordered the 10% of the menu that wasn't since nothing was fresh. The macaroni was overcooked and tasted like moosh, corn and green beans tasted like they were from a can, and the hamburger that my friend ordered was just bland and not something you would expect to be served at a restaurant. The good service and ambience did not make up for the sub-par food, definitely won't be back anytime soon.

I love Cheddars. Great restaurant good food. I've only had one item on the menu that I would recommend you avoid. They DO NOT make a good steak at all. Everything else I have tried there was amazing. Do not forget to try the croissants. They are awesome.

Update: I just went to Cheddar's again yesterday and was completely blown away. I decided to try their Monte Cristo sandwich. Wow! Definitely one of my new all-time favorite sandwiches I have ever had. The bread was made fresh and was so flaky and the cheese inside was perfectly melted. I didn't even touch my fries. You have to try this, especially if you are a sandwich fan like myself. Also, their chocolate chip bread pudding is phenomenal. Well done Cheddar's‼‼

This was such a big disappointment. We LOVED Cheddars back in Texas so when we saw there were a few locations here we were excited! This place was the closest so we went and wow what a difference. The food was so disappointing! The burger wasn't cooked right, the fried shrimp was a bit burnt and the onion rings were so poorly fried that the breaking just slid off! The service was slow and it just wasn't up to the standard we had enjoyed in Texas. The location on semoran was way better and even though it's a little ways off from where we live, it is worth it.

I've visited this restaurant twice so far (2nd time tonight) and I must say, it leaves much to be desired. On my first visit with my girlfriend we ordered margaritas to start. I had the strawberry margarita...quite tasty. My entree was the steak medium rare with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Pretty standard fare and it tasted good. She ordered the tenders with fried shrimp and fries, without the buffalo sauce dressing, but our server brought it with the dressing. He was friendly enough and apologized profusely. No need really, my gf and I aren't too picky with our meals and she ate her's anyways. Tonight however we experienced lackluster service. It was a busy night but that shouldn't be an excuse. She ordered a drink and they brought her the same wrong drink TWICE. The third time they got it right, but it wasn't to her usual liking (it's a drink she's ordered there several times before) so she just settled for a water instead. Our server was nice and apologized. Our meals came and again, were just fine. I got a jalapeño burger with mushrooms ('twas ok) and my gf got mashed potatoes with fries and grilled chicken in dijon mustard (tasted pretty good, actually). Just 15 minutes later our server came back to see if we needed boxes to go! We weren't happy with that. I got the bill and the drink was taken off, but strangely enough I got 8 cents more back in change (a healthy BRIBE perhaps?????). If you're in a need of a spot with affordable prices and standard dining food, I guess this is your place, but I wouldn't suggest going on a busy night. It certainly isn't anything to write home about, but for a critical Yelp review, it may do just fine.

Great entrees, great cocktails, and service is on point. I don't really write reviews but i go here almost 3-5 times a month for lunch. Fast service and well managed. Always friendly staff, and haven't had any issues. My usual order is the grilled salmon bourbon glazed with 2 sides of broccoli. Atmosphere in clean and comfortable, this place is always a safe bet.

Food and service was fabulous! We ordered the croissants, fried chicken with gravy and the salmon. Spectacular! Large portion sizes- especially for the fried chicken. Inexpensive for what you get. I highly recommend.

  • Patrick C.

The staff was very attentive. At 7 on Mom's Day very busy but also very loud and difficult to have a conversation. The lemon chicken was very dry as was the rice. Mac and cheese side dish was the best part of my meal (other than good friends). My wife had beer batter fried shrimp that tasted like it was frozen and not prepared then. This was our 2nd Cheddars experience in Orlando and the food has been consistent, not good but consistent. Not going back, too many other choices.

Wait (20 minutes) was spot on. Friendly hostesses. Excellent service (Jared rules!!) friendly, professional, fast but not rushed. Great suggestions. Good food, awesome cocktails. Desserts were a bit. Atmosphere made it much fun!!! We'll be back!!!

Had dinner for the first time here and I was pleasantly surprised the food was moderately priced and for the serving size it was well worth the price. Drinks were good and ambiance is nice for a chain restaurant. I will definatly go back may not be my fav but if I am in the area and cravin some homemade cookin or some shrimp I know where to go!

I would agree with most everyone. The place was nice and had good service. I had the fish taco(s) and they were better than average but still not as good as jimmy hulas. The trio appetizer was good too. Was not at all busy during lunch- that is the tip of the day :-)

Came here on a sunday about 6pm to the bar. All 3 bartenders never once looked our way for about 15 min at least. Nobody was smiling no one greeted us. Finally we get drinks and my mother has something in her drink we asked the bartender "what could that be?", he said nothing dumped out the drink right in front of us with a very heavy attitude the entire time. Ordered the New Orleans Pasta it came out within 5 minutes yet it was freezing cold. Basically they served me someone else mistake meaning the plate was sitting in the window for a long time and they tried to get away with giving it to me rather than making me a fresh one. ok so i got a new order and the pasta sucked. finally all we wanted was to leave and pay we were ignored another 15 min. I t wasn't even that busy...

  • Dina S.

I usually stick to the chicken tenders and ribs (which are awesome!) but I wanted to switch it up this time. I went with the New Orleans Pasta. It's so tasty and creamy. The sausage is a little spicy but not too much. I had a croissant instead of the garlic bread which is absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend. Service was great as always.

I went to the bar and there was literally one person there it was clearly the super heavy set bartenders friends who was working at the time. No greeting from her a different male bartender gave us a drink menu and went about making drinks. 3-5 mins went by I asked the heavy set bartender can I please have a menu and maybe order some drinks. She replied rudely "he gave you drink menus" as if is my fault that I have nothing in front of me. At this point I'm fed up with the experience the bartender went to get the manager after 5 minutes of waiting I just left I will never be back worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant where I'm trying to spend money.

The salmon is consistently good. I have had to send beck the steaks before for being way overcooked but the staff was great and very helpful. The sides can be really small but it is value priced. Ribs are good too.

My new favorite place to eat! Food is sooo good. I got the chicken tenders and they were delicious! It is so nice inside the restaurant but also really casual. The wait staff is extremely kind and willing to assist you with anything you need. The wait for the food was a bit long, but it was ultimately worth it. Go try it out! You won't be disappointed.

The portion and price of food can't be beaten. Its definitely top bang for your buck. The wait times are often long because of this. Ive been here multiple times and have tried 5 different dishes and all were great. Again, service may be a bit slow because of high volumes.

I love when a great new restaurant opens close to home! I went here for lunch one day with coworkers and everyone had a plate that looked awesome. I personally went for the buffalo chicken wrap, with grilled chicken, and a side of Mac and cheese. The wrap was the size of my arm so it provided me dinner that night and how do you not get something with cheese in it at Cheddars? So good!

After waiting an hour to get seated, our group checked with the hostess. Long story short, we got blamed for losing our seats because the buzzer they gave us was broken. I want to like this place because the food is good for the price, but it's always way too crowded and loud. Never going back.

I have to say that I expected much better. I actually waited for this restaurant, passing it by every time I had the occasion to go out for lunch at work to see if it was open yet. I always say that you can really judge a restaurant by how they address a problem. Our meal had several problems and all we received was a shrug and an invitation to respond to a survey. Basically, I ordered the soup and sandwich (grilled chicken wrap). My soup never came and they put fried chicken in the wrap instead. My co-worker ordered the jalapeno burger with double beans (instead of rice) and an extra side of the mayo. They forgot the mayo and gave him rice. The service itself was pretty good otherwise (he kept the drinks full). The food was ok. I found it rather salty and nothing on the menu would bring me back for a second visit.

Good food, GREAT prices. If you want something casual, quick, and tasty, Cheddars is great! Ambiance is really nice, the waiters are friendly, and the portions are big! I think every single thing on the menu is under $12! It is also one of the only places in the Waterford lakes area that is open later than 9:30/10 in the evening! Great new addition to the area!

I have been there 3 times and had a good experience each time. The food has been great, I recommend the ribs. The prices are really good. We have paid less than $40 with tip for a family of 4.

I went here with my boyfriend and best friend. We got the nachos without meat as our appetizer, and they were so delicious! I loved them. He got the Dijon mustard chicken & mushrooms, she got the Spasagna (baked spaghetti & lasagna with marinara), and I got the grilled chicken Alfredo with a side of mashed potatoes without gravy. They liked their meals, but I think the Alfredo could've been better. It was okay. But the mashed potatoes were really really good! The grilled chicken Alfredo has baby carrots and broccoli in it - not a big fan of carrots so I didn't eat many of the baby carrots. The pasta comes with Texas toast garlic bread (like the frozen ones you buy at Walmart, etc), so that was kinda random, lol. My meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing either. I've had better chicken Alfredo. I'll definitely recommend this place to others though due to fair pricing, good food, and the atmosphere being nice. When I go again I'll get a different meal however.

Awesome Chicken fried chicken. Be sure to get the dinner portion for the 2 breasts. Sub the green beans for the house salad. The croissant that comes with the salad is to die for. Oh they have Diet Dr Pepper also.

Nothing special. First time here so we ordered a mix of things. Spinach dip was ok not great. Reminded me of Friday's dip. Chips were salty. Next up the tortilla soup...again salty. Ordered a top shelf margarita. Any bartender worth his salt knows if someone orders a top shelf drink it's because they want to taste the alcohol. Not the case. Nothing but sweet and sour mix flavor. Ordered the ribs as they are "fall off the bone". They were ok. Flavor was decent but no bone falling going on. Service was fine but the food was just not great. Would not go back. Think of it like a TGI Fridays or Chilis.

it would help if this new E. Colonial Orlando place would put their days and hours of operation on their website....still trying to find out all of this but guess I'll have to call. That's crazy!! Can't rate it acurately 'cause trying to get there!! So I'll rate the website. And I tried the contact-us place on website but it came back not submitted because I didn't give dates of visit etc. ??? How can I haven't been yet.

This location seems to be always packed! I can certainly understand why. Decent food at decent prices. Menu is very kid friendly. Best thing my family ate were the ribs. Fall off the bone. Service was sub par. Not the greatest waitress. Perhaps some customer service training would benefit your servers.

We walk in at 10:45 pm to get greeted by a host out side the door telling us they were closed. They close at 11pm and for them to close early is weird. They need to post something at the door. We came in to the bar and asked the bartenders what time they close and they said at 11. From there service was horrible. We sat ordered my drink and some food. The "manager" was at the bar and over hear us say saying something about the host and closing early and all she said was yeah I'm the manager. No hey I'm sorry but we were going to close early cause it's slow or anything at all. Nope, well you just got a bad review and I will tell my friends how the service sucks here. The only thing good is the food. Oh and my drink wasn't even good, I had it before and this wasn't it... I'm done

We've gone 3 times so far and have been impressed all 3 times! If you want to go on friday - Sunday, be prepared to wait unless you're able to beat the rush. My husband and I got there at 5:30 this past Friday and we just got in by the nick of hair before it was going to wait status. We've been so impressed with their food and the freshness! This is our normal choice of dining if we have the time!

Saw the posts about the opening of this place and decided to give it a try with my girlfriend. Don't let the outside deceive you; the interior design of the restaurant is beautiful and much classier than I had guessed. I had amazing service with a knowledgable waitress (who's name I forgot, sadly) who was quick to refill drinks and give suggestions on the menu. We started with chips and queso that was delicious. The chips tasted homemade and we added beef to the queso for free. I ordered the steak and tenders, both of which tasted great, but what stood out to me is how well my steak was cooked. Often times I'll order a steak medium and it will be either rare or well done, but the chef had mine perfectly cooked with a bit of red on the inside. The portions are large and I wish I had room for dessert. We will definitely be coming back, 5 stars!

Went here the other day. It was really good and had great prices. I got the lemon pepper chicken and it was cooked really well. The chocolate cake was always really yummy. I left stuffed.

We went to Cheddar's a little after 5 P.M. on a Thursday and were seated immediately. Our server Donnie was actually a perfect waiter. He tended to us immediately, had our drinks out in a flash (the strawberry lemonade was killer), and had wonderful recommendations for the meal from start to finish. At his suggestion, we got the onion rings as a starter. The presentation was an eye-widener and though the onion rings were delicious, I do think they could have done with some extra seasoning or more onion (might be personal preference). Our entreés came out in quick pace after our appetizer. I got the Monte Cristo which was too delicious for the first two pieces. However, by that time I was feeling sort of sick of the excessive amount of fried food (something I think Cheddar's could tone back on). My brother, who had ordered the chicken fried chicken felt similarly after his first breast. Four stars for tasty, fast food, reasonable prices, and stellar service. One star off for making so much fried food on the menu that you better eat quick, because after a few minutes, it won't taste as good as it did initially. Overall, would certainly recommend if you're not on a diet.

Never heard of this place but stumbled on it with a few of my friends. This place is amazing. Great service even though we came during dinner hours and it was packed. Even though it was extremely busy it was still very clean. The cheese burger was only $7 and it was really good. My friend got some steak which I tried a piece of and it was amazing. Again the staff was extremely kind and efficient. The mac n cheese was good too but really small for a $2.50 side order. Overall it was a good night and I plan to go agqin in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprise by the cost of the food at Cheddar's. I got the steak & shrimp entree for only $13.99. The steak was a good size for me; however only 5 tiny shrimps on the plate with a massive mountain of fries. I enjoyed the food with only one complaint about the salty fries. Kids' menu is a steal at $4.99 with a side & drink included. Servers are very friendly. Great atmosphere at a great price.

This place has been consistently inconsistent with their entire restaurant. We have been here at least 4 times, at different times during the day and during different seasons. The wait staff is almost a joke. They all look like a deer stuck in headlights. The food one day can be amazing, but the very next can be downright disgusting. My waitress, Shea, did not crack a smile the entire time until after we paid our check. We are a very courteous family and understanding which is why I chose to write this review after 4 visits. We do not give troubles to staff so we ask for all that we need right up front. Nothing was remembered the first time and food came out cold and fries were placed right on top of the sauce from my main entree making it inedible because it soaked up the sauce. The loaded baked potato seems like it was cooked early this morning and then suddenly remembered when we ordered it this evening. The table we were sat at was dirty and I actually slipped trying to get out of the booth because of food and grease on the floor. We will certainly not come again.

The fact that they call it "scratch" cooking amazes me. Canned green beans, canned mushrooms. Glad it isn't pricey, but this is "meal replacement" and not much different in taste than Golden Corral.

HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA. This restaurant was so loud with conversation. My family had to speak at the top of our voices just to hear each other....at the same table! The bartenders were so slow with the drinks. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and decided to just cancel the drink orders. Food was delicious. Portions were generous for the price. I would suggest takeout. We will never dine in again.

This was my first experience at this Cheddar's location. Myself and two friends sat at the bar. We were greeted, though without so much as a smile-seemed like us sitting at the bar irritated him. He made our drinks, and disappeared. We decided on food, and waited for his return. Him and several others were walking into and out of the bar area working at the computer, but not really acknowledging us. We assumed they were busy and patiently waited; we work in food service and understand when things get super busy. Minutes went by, and we started to get antsy because we were hungry and didn't want to continue to drink on empty stomachs. Finally he came back, again looking less than thrilled about it, took our food order, and we assumed his shift ended because we were handed over to a female. She, too, didn't seem too happy to be there. Other patrons at the bar had been sitting for a good 10 minutes without service, and were beginning to vocalize their irritation. I have never been compelled to write a yelp review before my visit here. I've served for 5 years and would be ashamed to give this poor level of service to my guests. Smiling is a key point to making guests feel welcome, and the bar staff really needs to work on it. I will return to this location, but will not be sitting at the bar. I got the triple treat sampler app, and it was awesome! Food: ***** Service: **

WORST restaurant I've ever been to!!! I'm not exaggerating. I had a to go order. It was given in regular styrofoam boxes, like the ones you get in grocery stores and was put in Thank You bags. I thought that was weird for a chain restaurant. The minor problems: burger tasted like prepackaged burger patties, cheese bites had most of the cheese outside the breading, chicken fried steak had overcooked breading outside and undercooked inside. I was still eating it when I noticed that the bread it was sitting on had mold on it. Not a little bit but half of the edge of the bread. Lost my appetite in an instant. I couldn't eat everything else I bought. I called the restaurant and talked to the manager and she said to come in so they can give me something else. Came in the next day and had to wait over 30 mins to come see me. After about 20 mins, I asked the reception if she was still coming and she was said she was then she asked if its about an interview. She just judged me by the way I look. I don't work, I don't need to. My husband gets paid really well for me to be able to stay at home and take care of the household. So I said, No, I had mold on my food last night. Then when the manager finally came out, she didn't even apologize and just told me to order at the bar and she'll take care of it. I would have given them a chance if they have treated me well. Normally, I would be thankful that they replaced my food but because of the way I was treated, I think of it this way: I paid for food that was suppose to be edible and I didn't so it has to be replaced. I will never go there again. Ever. And if you go, I advise you to check your food for mold before eating.

I have been here with family several times and every time this place never disappoints! The prices for the servings you get are very reasonable. They have great priced drinks as well!! (You have to try the Painkiller! YUMMO!) I even once had to send my meal back due to it being overcooked and they handled it with a great level of professionalism! You have to try the Queso with beef app and the Country Fried Chicken with gravy is awesome! This is definitely our new favorite family restaurant.

The first time I went to a Cheddar's restaurant, I had a horrible experience & told myself I would never go back but since this one just opened up about a month ago, my boyfriend insisted that I try it again. Although this time was not as bad as my first experience, it really didnt change my opinion about the place too much. The only thing good about my dinner time was my waiter. He deserves the two stars on this rating. He was very nice & among the chaos of a Friday night, he held his own & did as much as he control. So if take a chance & head there, ask for Donny. Our night started with a buzzer that didnt work & guessing when our table would be ready, (which sucks since there were too many people inside to even wait there). I overlooked this since we were in our seats in 30 even when they quoted us 45. The drinks were very watered down, so dont waste your money. I was starving so I ordered an app then my meal but of course with my luck it took so long for the app to get out & it ended up coming out with our entree which made me feel like i wasted money on an app. Steak was not cooked order. They forgot both of our sides of broccoli & when I did get my veggies, they were not cooked at all. Half of my broccoli was dry & hard as if it just came out of the package. Donny tried to make things a little better but by this point I was completely over the experience. I definitely will not be returning and I would not recommend coming here.

This was our first visit to this location, and it pales in comparison to the Semoran location. Both the hostess and server informed us that the kitchen was backed up. So I took this to mean that service might be slow, and that's okay. What I can't accept is lukewarm food. There wasn't a wisp of steam from any of our food. I ordered a burger with cheese and sauteed mushrooms. The layer of cheese was so thin I couldn't taste it. The mushrooms were whole rather than sliced, so they couldn't really sit right on the burger. My wife ordered the chicken tenders and shrimp. Not good; we sent it back. With the Semoran location being closer to home, I doubt we'll come back to this location.

My hubby and I brought my mom to lunch here and had a nice time. The restaurant is brand-spankin' new, so it looks great. It's modern, clean, and has a really pretty bar. We sat in the bar area, and received great service from our server. Oh! and a very important thing to note is that Cheddar's is really affordable. Their drinks, meals, desserts, are really affordable. It's a great place to bring the whole family. I have been to Cheddar's in Texas before, so I am familiar with the menu. One thing that is different is that the honey-butter croissants are complimentary in Texas, but they charge for them at this location. I hope they decide to follow Texas' example and make them free. They are really yummy, if you do get them. I saw the Monte Christo sandwich on the menu, and knew I had to get it. I ordered the half sandwich with baked potato soup and it was the perfect size. The baked potato soup was yummy. It had plenty of bacon, potatoes, and cheese. The Monte Christo was really good too. The bread was fluffy, crispy, and especially good when dipped in the berry preserves. My hubby ordered the chicken tenders with fries and mac n cheese. It was good, but my meal was better ;). Momma ordered the Key West chicken and shrimp, and she enjoyed it, but it was spicy. The description doesn't mention it would be spicy, so she wasn't able to finish her meal. She took it in a to-go box for someone else to have it. In short, it was a good visit, and we would totally come back :)

The food, the ambience and restaurant was wonderful. Our server was ok wasn't to crazy about how she treated us but I'm sure it was just her. Everyone else working there seemed very polite and helpful. You will love it for family special celebrations, a date night or just a nice night out.

I really enjoy this place! I think it's a place where you can become a "regular". The atmosphere is casual just refined. You don't feel like you're in a random bar and grill as the place is elevated in taste. The food is fresh. The drinks are delicious and HUGE. And what you can't beat is the price- everything is super affordable. I was able to split an appetizer, get a meal (enough for leftovers), and a huge margarita for under $20! I think Cheddar's is a good place to take visiting friends and family for lunch or dinner. It won't disappoint! I am loving their Wisconsin cheese bites, the ribs, shrimp, and cajun pasta. I rotate between those three main dishes.

Second time and this will be the last. Ribs were dry and full of fat very little meat. Ordered steak medium rare and it came well done. Sent it back. Service was slow.. Mac and cheese was out the box and broccoli was your. Spinach dip was very good.

Might have reviewed the other Cheddars by the airport, either way... I still cannot get over the prices. They give you a ton of good tasting food for prices that remind me of my childhood. Too often do you end up dropping $12-$14 for $8 worth of food. Here you can easily get an entree with 2 sides for $8-$10. Last time I went I even got the Salmon with 2 sides ($11!!!!). That would easily be $15-$18 for the EXACT same thing anywhere else. The salmon was perfectly cooked, a nice sized piece and I ended up taking the sides home and eating them the next day with other items because by the time I ate the salmon, the croissants (3 for $3, you have to at least try them) and 1/4 of my wife's buffalo chicken wrap (also delicious, the buffalo sauce is tasty without overpowering the chicken and the addition of the pickles gives it an excellent crunch while maintain the great taste. All in all, I just wish more places had the same prices as Cheddar's while still deserving the delicious food that they have. I will say, this particular time, our waiter was one of the worst I've had anywhere. We were a large table, but for some reason he just stayed at one end and yelled across the table to every person rather than moving to be closer to them, and he never refilled our drinks without a direct request to do so. But every other time at Cheddars (at least the airport location) we have had much better service.

Hit or miss. When it's good it's good and when it's not good, it's really bad. Ribs are delicious and consistent, everything else on the menu is ok, IF it comes out hot and not all at once. Once, thety brought the appetizer out after the entrees. Service is average to below average. Used to be a time when wait staff took pride in remembering what each customer ordered at a table......now they basically walk the food out and stand in front of you at the table holding the plate with a blank look until you tell them who ordered what. And have no idea if what they brought out even is what you ordered.

This was our 2nd attempt to dine at Cheddars, the 1st time the wait was 45mins to an hour....we were way to hungry to wait that long. This being a new opening, the multitude was to be expected. This time the wait was less than 10mins. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us the rundown of the menu and drinks. We ordered the triple sampler, potato skins, chicken tenders and Wisconsin cheese curds. The chicken tenders were very good. Every thing else was not impressive. My husband ordered the ribs and chicken tenders, the sides, mac & cheese and red beans and rice, were served in the tiniest of plates, looked like tea saucers and they were not that good. I ordered the homemade chicken pot pie with a side of ceasar salad both were good. The pastry top of the pie was awwsome. I also tried a drink called Passion Punch, not too sweet and not alot of alcohol, just right. Overall experience was good and we will return.

This was my first time at Cheddars we were meeting friends here who live locally and who dine here a fair amount. We were seated on a corner table as we were a party of 6 it was a bit chilly but overall the place is clean and the tables are a good comfortable size. We ordered drinks I ordered a gin and tonic in a short glass and my brother in law vodka soda in a tall glass both with limes , took around 20 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive the drinks came opposite as to the description above and neither with lime , we let it fly and were happy to have drinks after having to wait so long. As the night went on we realized that either our waiter was passing on the wrong message to the bar or the bar had no idea what they were doing. For dinner I had the cheese bites which was recommended , overall this was the highlight but a little over salted in my opinion. I followed with steak and shrimp my friend also ordered steak and shrimp our temperatures were mixed up I got medium well and my friend got my medium rare steak. The waiter forgot to order the sides which by the time they arrived we were finished with our steaks and overall the food was luke warm for everyone. Positive feedback on the salmon from the ladies which for 8$ you can't go wrong. We asked the waiter if it was his first day as he appeared lost and confused , he mentioned he had been working at Cheddars for years so we could not forgive him for the horrendous service we received. The manager came by which was even a bigger joke , we told him about our meal and his reply was "we are busy" when half the tables were empty all whilst leaning casually over the booth next to us. We payed we tipped and we left what a joke. Overall the quality for what you pay is fair as prices are rock bottom but don't expect much service from the bar or wait staff and who can blame them with such leadership.

    (1)
  • Josh B.

Firstly this should be one star review but since cheddars can pay to have those ignored I'm giving it 2 so you all can read it. Get to cheddars and it looks busy, thinking there will be a wait I go to put our name in, surprisingly they seat us right away. Normally that's great but this is Florida, its pouring outside and the hostess pass multiple table and puts us under the A/C vent.......whatever maybe she just isn't paying attention. Ill ignore this one. Server promptly shows takes our drink and appetizer order so things are looking up. We're freezing but at least the server appears competent. Comes back takes our orders (mine steak,medium/rare, and ribs. With the salad) drinks and appetizers are prompt. THEN the food shows up. I start with my steak first its over, cooked not 'there's less pink in the middle then I'd like' but brown all the way through, basically ruined. ALSO it isn't hot, like at all. But whatever, I eat it cause I'm freezing frustrated and very hungry. So then I move to my ribs(I fraking love ribs) and there not just 'not hot' they are f**king cold. Like they cooked them, dressed them and PUT THEM BACK IN THE FRIDGE while the rest of our tables food was prepared. On top of that they were overly fatty and slimy, basically disgusting. I have very strict dietary restrictions so when I get to eat out it is a very rare occasion and something I really try to enjoy. Your establishment RUINED my whole day with your subpar attempt at food. As excited as I was to try your establishment because of this I CAN'T WAIT to go back to chilli's at least they know how to cooked ribs and steak. PS When your server brings the check to a table, disappearing for 15minutes before coming back to get the cash/card is how you get people to leave without paying. Get your shit together

Went here for lunch today. I honestly haven't been here for like 9 years and decided to try it again. The inside was nicer than I expected it to be, I would say it's on the same level as bahama breeze. We ordered the smokehouse burger which had bbq sauce, bacon, cheese, tomato, pickle and crispy onion strings. This burger is 1/2lb I believe and $5.49! Likeeeee what?! It was delicious. We also ordered and shared the jalapeño pepper jack cheeseburger. This one had melted pepper jack cheese and fried jalapeño slices with some sort of aoli on it; I ordered it with no onion tomato or lettuce but it does come on it if you wish. This burger was delicious as well and the same price! The service was good; a tiny bit slow for a lunch service because the restaurant wasn't too packed but our waitress was very friendly. The drink menu looked good, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to really hang and have a drink but I will be back! Good prices!

I love the food here! I order the sirloin and chicken tenders almost every time and the broccoli cheese casserole. The prices are amazing for the quality of food. I bring my dad here every time he comes to visit. The only negative would be the servers. They are hit or miss. None of them are "bad" just not very attentive. I work in a restaurant so I don't normally mind, but on my last visit the server dropped the check and we put our card in it within 30 seconds. It took the server about 5 minutes to come back to collect the check. Nothing major, just could use some improvement. Everything else is amazing and I can definitely sacrifice perfect service for great food at great prices!!!

I have been to the cheddars on Rinehart Road in Sanford and the food and service was great. I was very excited to see one opening up near me. I came for my sons girlfriends birthday and family. Everyone's food came and my steak was way overdone. I sent it back and never got my food returned. Everyone ate except me. The manager was unprofessional and said he was very busy. I had to call him over as he kept walking past me and ignoring me. I we NEVER visit this location again. Very bad first impression and I will be sure to make everyone I know aware. If I could have given half a star I would.

  • Alessandra R.

I'm so torn with Cheddar's. I've been three times and while the food and drinks are excellent, the service sucks. I've ordered the Wisconsin Cheese Bites twice (sshhh..), the Monte Cristo, & the Chicken Caesar pasta salad, along with the Painkiller, the margaritas, & the spiked cherry limeade. My favorite so far have been the margs, & I actually didn't enjoy the Painkiller as much as I thought I would. I think it's the nutmeg or cinnamon. I'm not much of a spice girl, so it's probably just me.. On to the service. The service is SO slow, even when the restaurant is empty. I'm not sure if it's the servers or the kitchen, & usually I don't mind a small wait, but waiting 20 minutes to put in your drink order is a little much. The last time I was there, two weeks ago, I ordered the pasta salad and was brought fettuccine Alfredo. I asked if this is what I ordered and he said, "Yeah, you got the pasta." I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I ordered a salad with pasta and chicken on it." He just shook his head and put the plate down in front of me and started to walk off. My friend called him back over and asked him to check what he wrote down because she remembered I did order a salad (obviously the drinks were good hehe) & he said "you're right" and took the plate away without an apology. I wasn't expecting a long soliloquy, but the lack of interest ticked me off. He brought me the correct order 15minutes later and dropped it in front of me. He then brought us our checks and asked us to close out our tab since he was being cut. I've never been a server before, but this seems odd... and RUDE. So, if you like good food (and better drinks) but like horrible service, then you won't go wrong here.

Yay, I AM a fan! Cheddars was the choice for my family on a recent night out. Several of them had been there prior, myself, I had not. They said it was good, and they tweren't lying. The salmon, my choice was excellent. Tender, flaky, yum. The rice was cooked perfectly and everything seasoned well. If you are ever owing someone a meal, or it's your turn to foot the tab, this is the place to go. Good food at very, very reasonable prices. We had four adults plus a kids meal, under $50 total. Each of us got nice sized platters, too.

They recently opened here. The food quality is high and it will likely stay high based on other Cheddar's I've been to in the past. The servers are very busy but very friendly and competent. I love the fish tank!

No reservations, no call a heads. Ok so we plan a party of 15. Oh just come in and we will set up a table they said. My Husbands 50th birthday and we end up sitting at two different tables because they REFUSED to put two tables together. RUDE RUDE RUDE. My husband was unable to even sit with the people that came to celebrate with him. They didn't even want to help us work out anything, Especially the asst. manager Kat. WILL never ever go there again, and I will urge all my friends not to either.

Good tasting food at an inexpensive price.. Wether is lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. The buttery croissants are a must try, warm with a delicious sauce over it! Very popular place so nights and weekends tend to be a long wait but so worth it. I recommend it to everyone, even the guest at the hotel that I work at and they come back happy.
