I have never been to philly to experience Pat and Geno's, but if its anything like Briantos I'm sure I will walk away a really happy man. Briantos has all of their ingredients flown in fresh from philly, including the special Amorosos bread which is the housing unit for the unbelievable thinly sliced pieces of seared rib-eye which is prepared fresh for each sandwich. For a nice suprise, add some of there sweet peppers to your cheese steak and enjoy having your taste buds rocked out. Also, dont be fooled by there cheesesteak shop persona. This place also makes a pretty mean hoagie. My favorite is the italian, and the meat is always sliced fresh in front of your face! Nice dining area, but beware of fall sundays when the Philly Eagles are playing and this place turns into the Eagle's home-away-from-home stadium.

This is the best cheese steak that I've ever had in Florida, and trust me, that says a lot. I grew up in Philly, and have been in O-Town for ten years. I've spent the past ten years trying all the different places down here. Bought my own meat slicer, and tried to make them myself. It ain't easy. On my first visit to Briantos, I tried the steak with whiz. This isn't the cheese I grew up on, but it's so rare to find here. "Is it real Whiz?" I asked. They said it was, so I figured I'd give it a go. I didn't see anything about sweet peppers on the menu, but figured I ask. They had them. I got some butterscotch krimpets to go. On my second visit, I had the steak with American. I had to hold myself back from getting tasty kakes, herrs and franks soda. I love this place. Just wish it wasn't so far, but it's worth it. I think I might have them cater my next Eagles party.

Happy to have finally found a good steak and cheese in the Orlando area! It's a bit far for me, but it's definitely worth my drive.

We've been in search of a local eatery in ORL that serves'em up like Philly & we haven't found 1 yet.. BUT Briantos DOES!! All the way down to the way to order & the Amoroso roll -- IT just don't get any better than this!! My son & I split the 18" Provo wit & ordered a Frank's Birch Beer & Root Beer. While we waited we enjoyed the Phillies memorabilia -- I can remember as a young boy going to the Vet for my B-day w/ friends & watching the likes of Mike Schmidt, Greg Luzinski, Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Tug McGraw .... you get the picture. All the while, my mouth was watering & my brain was wondering if it was gonna be like the real thing or just another mediocre disappointment .... Then they called my name & it was time to test it out. We unwrapped the paper & voila - the smell wafted up to our noses & my son & I just looked at each other ... the cheese was properly melted & the meat was overflowing from the roll .... I couldn't help but ask (you want ketchup on yours?) just hoping he'd say no .... and like a true champ, "Nah, I'm gonna eat it just like it is!" .... Well folks, 10 minutes later our bellies were full & plates were empty .... not even a morsel of cheese or meat to be found! No room for the TastyKakes ... but we saw Krimpets, Chocolate Jrs, Kandy Kakes & more .... maybe next time we'll try a smaller sandwich & save some room .... NOT!! NEXT UP .... Pizza Steak!! Don't miss this great sandwich shop -- you WON'T be disappointed!! This is the best cheesesteak south of Philly!!

    Good Cheesesteaks.

It's rather hard sometimes to build on a great review like Ricky's. So instead of re-iterating his detailed review, I would like to add my agreement that this is, without a doubt, the best cheese steak in Orlando. Now, I haven't had the opportunity to go to Philadelphia to have on there, so I'll have to update this review when I get a chance, but right now, they are the best and I'll gladly go and have one there. Oh, I will say one thing though, make sure you order your steak with Cheeze Whiz, it's delicious and you'll be sorry if you don't.

Pass the word on this place, folks. It's not so far out of the way that it's not definitely worth the trip. I occasionally run across places that are just good. this is one of them. I can't say more than some of the previous descriptions, but this is the best cheese steak sandwich place I've been into in a long time. That's just good comfort food, like meatloaf and beef stew. A real Philly Cheese-steak is hard to beat and they have the best here. There is a good selection of other things on the menu and I want to try some of them out, but I'll have a hard time getting myself to order anything but a cheese steak. Give it a try. Impress your girlfriend, or even your wife. That'll make two trips for you.

I been in Orlando for around 5 years and haven't had a great philly since. I heard about this place close to my house on Avalon park. The place had great reviews so I decided to check it out. When I entered there was a real Philadelphia atmosphere including Eagles, 76ers, and other Philly sports memorabilia. I been to Philly so the place seemed like a authentic philly cheese steak type restaraunt. I got the regular philly hoagie and Wow it was great. Best philly I have ate in years. Highly recommended for anyone looking for one of the best Phillies in Orlando.

  • Jeff M.

This is THE place for real Philly cheese steak. They even have wiz. Best cheese steak outside of Philly that I have ever had.

    (5)
  • Antonio M.

Best Philly cheesesteak hands down! If you get a chance to eat in the place ask them not to wrap your sub. It keeps the steam off the cheese so there is no water down taste! I love this place!

  • Spoon A.

I've never been to Philly for an authentic cheese steak, but I'm pretty sure this is the closest you'll get. Best cheese steak sandwich in town. Cheese Whiz is a must. Don't forget to add a little hot sauce for that extra kick.

  • Chris H.

Speaking as a Philadelphian, this place is legitimate. I mean, they have Tastykakes, Herrs, and Hanks. Most importantly, they have real Philly rolls. I don't necessarily think that Amoroso rolls are the best, but they're a big operation that ships far away and obviously they pass the Philly sandwich quality test. I have driven hours out of my way for this place. Anytime I'm within 150 miles of Orlando from now on, I'll probably go here.

  • John C.

It takes a conscious effort every day for me not to drive down to AV Park to eat here. Their frikin cheesesteak is silly good. With the cheese whiz?? Just too good for me to express. After eating here I enter a melancholy disaffected state where I turn my phone off, lock the door to my room and listen to The Cure and Depeche Mode for hours on end, lying in bed contemplating my place in the world. That's how good the cheese steaks are here. Don't say I didn't warn you

  • Barry W.

Briantos makes some of the best Cheese Steak Sandwiches around in the East Orlando area! They even make the authentic kind with cheese whiz! Their Menu has a wide assortment of cheese steak sandwiches and hoagies (sub-sandwiches). They also serve Tasty Cake deserts here too! You usually can only get tasty cakes in the Northeast. Their salads are really good, for those looking to be healthy. However, this is one place I suggest you gorge yourself at. Be warned, when you ask for a large cheese steak be sure you are really hungry because it's 2 feet; therefore, the small or medium is plenty. I highly recommend this place for lunch. They also deliver in the Avalon Park / Stoneybrook area.

Best Philly cheese steak in Orlando. Heavenly cheese whiz and the bread is delicious.

I am from up north so I know what a great philly cheesesteak is. I have been in Orlando for almost 3 years now and I have finally found an amazing philly cheesesteak! I heard about this place from the citydata forums and guys from philly were raving about it, so I had to take the half hour drive to Avalon Park from my office one day to see what the fuss was about. I am so glad I made that drive. One thing that really makes a great cheesesteak is the bread. They have amoroso bread shipped in from Philly daily. That really seals the deal for me. Plus, the subs are HUGE, so beware! You can get cheese wizz, provolone or American Cheese on top of your sub too. Another deal sealer is the Herr's potato chips from Hanover, PA. You can't find these anywhere in Orlando. I was going through withdrawls when I moved here b/c nobody carries them. I really reccomend this place as I have not found another sub shop in Orlando that makes them as well as they do. If you are planning to stop by, make sure you print the coupon off of their website first!

  • David S.

WOW! These are really good cheesesteaks. Really good flavor and texture in every bite. I don't think anyone has ever been disappointed eating here. Too bad this place is far away from me. I would go more often. I didn't try the Tasty Kakes but people seem to love them. Recently, I have seen them in Publix.

  • Kris V.

Glad I listened to the reviews and looked up this place. Amazing philly cheese-steaks! The place is pretty straightforward and to the point, no glamor, just great subs. Yum

    (4)
  • Edith O.

Nice staff, great cheesesteaks, and cold-cut subs. I've tried both whiz and provolone on the cheesesteak, both tasty. I believe they have a "large sub challenge", for all you competitive eaters!!

  • Gavin G.

I was born and raised in PA and moved down to Florida at 18. I must say that this is the most authentic Philly cheese steak I have found outside of Philly itself. They use Amoroso rolls and great chopped steak, just like Geno's. They serve a true philly with meat, onions and cheese whiz. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a taste of Philly way down here in Orlando, or to anyone just looking for a great steak sandwich. I would also recommend ordering a real Philly (obviously) or a pizza steak, which is also excellent.

    (5)
  • Chris G.

Not the best Philly Cheese steak Ive ever tasted but the best by far in Orlando.

  • Sunshine B.

This place is great- fun, casual sports atmosphere and the food is fresh, perfectly made and delicious. I always get the chicken philly supreme with mushrooms and peppers with provolone, and it's so juicy and yummy. Their cheesesteaks are great too, each one is definitely big enough to serve two people.

    (4)
  • Dan W.

Delicious! Better than any chain you'll find (I'm looking at you Texaphiladelphia). The bread is perfect and the steak isn't too fatty. Oh, and they have Cheese Wiz too, if you're a Cheese Steak purist.

  • William R.

This place is okay. They have a decent cheesesteak, decent hoagies and you cant go wrong with Tastykakes. Being from the Philadelphia area, its nice to go somewhere and see the Phillies memorabilia hung on the walls, kinda makes me feel at home. That being said, if your from Philadelphia you will immediately notice this place is a complete rip off of Pats, and if your going to rip off a steak shop there is much better ones to copy. They have the sign "suggesting" the way you order and pretty much the menu is exactly the same. Yes, they have Amoroso rolls but they put your roll in the oven before they fill it with that delicious meat and cheese (this never happens in Philadelphia) so I doubt they are flown in fresh. This isnt meant to be a bad review, its really not a bad place to eat but I've ate at Johns and cosmi's and all those wonderful alters of grease and they ruined me. Its a bit like listening to Mozart at the New York Philharmonic and then listening to Mozart performed by your local high school, not bad just different.

    (3)
  • Matt M.

Best Philly cheesesteaks south of Philly! Amoroso's bread also makes it authentic. If you are from the Philly area, you'll feel at home.

Cheesesteak is awesome, great place to get a chicken salad sub as well. Owners are very nice and always there to help

This is close to my work so my co-workers & I go here at least once a week. Being from NY this is what food should taste like. One of my friends said it is the best sandwich he has ever had. I usually get the chicken Philly supreme.

  • Nicole C.

Cheez Whiz brings me to a happy place. Especially on a cheesesteak that came so highly recommended and lived up to the hype. This is one of my favorite places by far. I haven't strayed from the cheesesteak on the menu because...why?? Lunch special for $7.49 included any of the 6" sandwiches, fries, and a drink. This is one happy camper!

  • Monica Z.

My husband and I have been searching for a great Cheesesteak and until our visit have not had much luck. Imagine how happy we were to find this place!! Easily the best in Orlando, the meat is exceptionally good, both in quality and flavor, the buns are spectacular and for those truly discerning cheesesteak fan, they have Cheese Wiz as an option. Will definite be back!

  • Jennifer R.

I've only made one trip here but that one trip was great. I live in the neighborhood and am friends with friend's of the owners so upon a recommendation I finally checked this spot out. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed everything about our trip. The only change I would have made was to order extra cheese on my chessesteak, but that is only because I'm a cheese addict. Stop by and support a local business who is doing it all right!

So I found out about this place on Yelp. Actually, Colleen B.'s review. My husband is from Philly and his favorite is Steve's Prince of Steaks. So we decided to check it out. It's a drive for us since we live near downtown Orlando, it at least 30 minutes without traffic. We could go to a WaWa but when we are really in the mood for a cheesesteak we head to Brianto's. The whole place in decked out in Philly stuff...Phillies, Flyers, Eagles and a little Sixers stuff too. Which Alan loves!! We also like the staff. They are very nice and sometimes they talk to us about Philly stuff. The rolls are awesome, Amoroso! A must for a cheesesteak. They have many different size steaks & hoagies to choose from. Alan says it reminds him of home. It's the best steak sandwich in the Central Florida Area. I enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather is nice and being able to walk around Avalon Park is nice too!

  • Alden K.

Cheese Whiz and sliced ribeye. The way a cheesesteak was originally intended. I have enjoyed every bite ever ordered here. This place is frequented by the guys at firehouse 85. This is a great place to get a real cheesesteak. Firehouse Subs is a joke compared to this place. Grab one of the specials, food here isn't cheap. You can get high quality food at a reasonable price if you look for the specials.

I will never eat subway or Charley's ever again. Thanks to Brianto's my world of subs and cheese steak sandwiches changed. My boyfriend took me here for a late night grub and I was so impressed with the quality of subs they have. I'm definitely impressed, everything about their subs just screamed "GREAT QUALITY. TASTY. AMAZING. EAT ME!" I love the fact that they super packed their subs with meat and that they were not shy with the cheese. Not only was their steak sandwiches great, but their chicken was amazing too! We even grabbed some to-go for my brother, and even he loved it. Fries were nice thick cut and the place is clean and well-kept.

I started off with the Cheesesteak supreme. With Cheez Whiz, that's the way it's mostly done in philly, Fantastic. Not a better one in area. Since then I've had there pizza steak, and the italian cold sub too. The pizza steak is well, great, good marinara sauce on it and mozzerella. Cooked to perfection as usual. The cold italian sub was great too. Great cold cuts, the bread is really good and the subs are made to order. Disclaimer - Being from Jersey originally, I don't call them Hoagies, Grinders...whatever...they are freakin sub sandwiches, end of story, alright? Okay.... They do a great job on the french fries too. It's also quite a bit, for a small order too, so two people can share a small order. As long as they are not pigs about it. Its an entire basket of fries. Don't want to know what the large order of fries looks like. Speaking of big....Jesus, Yes you can get a 24" sub....Yeah, TWO FEET. They come in human form too at 6" and 12" and an almost inhuman 18". The cheesesteaks can be made anyway you want them, they have a good selection of different ways to get it. OFMG!! They have Black Cherry Soda!!!! WHOOO!!!! This is a favorite place of mine....oh yeah, one thing.... I hate to reiterate I'm from Jersey but this should go without saying when you arrive there... There is absolutely, Positively one item I absolutely hate about the place.... The Decor.....see.... I'm a Yankees, Giants and NJ Devils Fan...... Makes me nauseous every time I go in there....BLECH!! :) Everyone who has been there will understand. If you don't get it, you're not going for the decor anyway, so go and eat, then you'll understand....

  • Jackie G.

This place has the best cheesesteaks outside of PA! Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. Share the small basket of fries with 2 people. Trust me, it's plenty. Service is great and the food is ready within 5-10 minutes depending on how many orders are in front of you. I can't speak for anything except the cheesesteaks and fries. They also have a lot of other items on their menu and daily specials.

    (5)
  • Nathan G.

Came for lunch. I'm not a big cheesesteak fan but this place is very tasty. I would come back. Next time I will try one of their hoagies.

Philly? Orlando? Philly? Orlando? Let's call it, "Philando" if we are near Brianto's. Felt like I was in Philly with my steak wit and whiz. The sandwich was spot-on, heard they even bring the bread in from Philly. The fries are thick and look hand cut, which makes them extra special. Pro tip - they also carry Hank's sodas.

Shortly said, this is the BEST cheesesteak I've had in all my time in Orlando. This was honestly a big surprise for me. I didn't expect this type of quality to exist far out of Orlando. A friend recommended this place for me to try out, and I was floored when I took my first bite. It was well-worth the 25 minute drive. To start, my girlfriend and I came in just as they were about to close. Regardless, the folks there told us that they could still serve, so we ordered. Naturally, I got the cheesesteak with the peppers and mushrooms. Coming from the north, I had been looking for that amoroso bread and was very happy to know that they served it. Sub came out hot and steaming in 5 minutes. That first bite was heavenly. The meat was excellent; it wasn't salty nor chewy. Done just right and with so much juice. The cheese was gooey, the bread soft on the inside and perfectly crunched on the outside. It really reminded me of my childhood. To top it off, it was loaded. Every bite was hot and flavorful. Cannot express enough just how glad I was to have this. Besides that, the decor was literally everything Philly sports. You can see the work they put into making it Philly themed. As a side note I want to mention is that their small fries is not small at all. It can easily serve up to 2 or even 3 people. Crunchy, mild, and tongue-burning hot.

Best restaurant in Avalon by far! Every time I come here you guys never let me down. The quality of the food is always on point. Kudos to the staff and the nice young gentleman Nick! Great customer service and the baseball Phillies theme. Love this place.

You're not going to find a better place to get a Philly in Orlando. The portions are huge ( I swear the 18 inch is 2 feet) and the sandwiches are packed with meat and veggies. This was my go to sports food while I lived over in east orlando. Now I have to wait till I'm in the area to treat myself. If you like Phillies, you have to go! You won't be disappointed!

  • R G.

Best Philly cheese steak outside of Philly. Highly recommend you find this jewel hidden behind a subdivision. I have been going past this area for several years not knowing there was a shopping center here with several local restaurants. If you live on the east side head a little south towards the power plant. Hong to check out the other places here over the next few weeks.

Hands down the best Philly's in Orlando...and their right in my backyard!! Their chicken philly is awesome. I have never had a Philly from Philly, but imagine it's pretty close to Brianto's. Especially since the owner is from Philly. Know the owner and he is a great guy. Does a lot for the community as well. Great place to have in Avalon.

Best cheesesteaks in town! They have a diverse menu, and all their hoagies are great. I always get my cheeseteak with cheese whiz. They serve beer and its a great environment for sports enthusiasts as well as children. They have an XL cheesesteak that is 24" !

I love to eat!!!!!! Can I say that again? I love to eat!!!!!!! I heard about the place through a uye that was a few weeks ago and I book marked it because it was a new place that I haven't tried since I have been living in florida. So to my surprise last night I was delighted to see this place come up. I was sooo happy. I ordered the 18 inch sub with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and melted cheese with mayo and a helping of fries. My stomach was ultra happy to the sandwich. Unfortunately I could only eat half the sub, but it was well worth it. The restaurant was a Philadelphia based theme place with all things being related to the city. Later I found out that the place originally was from Philly. Even though I am a Dallas fan to the core, I couldn't even hate. Needless to say I am definitely going back again and again and again and again, especially during football season.

This was incredible! I got the 6 inch lunch special and the soft amaroso roll was stuffed with chopped steak, onions and cheese whiz. So hard to find an authentic philly around Orlando, so glad I found this place!

I'm a girl from Philly- therefore I love my cheesesteaks. But only the real ones. Not these wanna-be imposters that clutter Orlando claiming to have a real cheesesteak or the "Best Philly cheesesteak in town." See- the thing is- when you really do have the real thing and you are the best- you don't have to brag- people just know and flock to you. Enter the wonderful world of Brianto's in the Avalon Park neighborhood east of Orlando. I admit it. I am a cheesesteak snob. I am very particular about how I eat my cheesesteaks. In Philly, we stand in line in any weather at any hour to get the real thing. The real thing in Philly is served with Cheez Whiz, sometimes provolone. I am amazed at the places here in Florida who claim to have the real thing and don't have the Cheez Whiz let alone the provolone. And the roll? Forget about it! A real Philly cheesesteak is always served on an Amoroso Roll- a very special roll made in Philly and an absolute necessity to making a real cheesesteak. No worries, because Brianto's has their rolls shipped right from the Amaroso factory. And yes- there really is a huge difference. Also, when in Philly, there is a certain way to order a cheesesteak. See- the lines are long in Philly- you need to know how to order and then get out of the way of the person behind you. Gotta keep the line moving. There are places in Philly that will boot you to the back of the line if you do not order properly. (Though I have never seen anyone actually get thrown to the back of the line.) No worries, Brianto's will train you. They have this sign hanging up so you can study before you order. Well, I ordered my cheesesteak with provolone, green peppers and onions. After years of being frustrated with all the wanna-bes in Orlando I finally found my home. My own little cheesesteak Heaven. Of course, your side can be fries or onion rings up north but here at Brianto's they serve the steaks with chips. Herr's chips- another Philly institution. They go perfectly with a cheesesteak. And, of course, one cannot end a true Philly experience without the world famous Tastykakes, which used to be only available in the Philly area. I have only recently started to see them more widely available in Publix, Winn Dixie and Walmart. If you have never had a Tastykake you should really try the Butterscotch Krimpets- really, do it now. By the way, Chad had a Pizza Steak and it was pretty darn good too. If you are a Philly sports fan you will really appreciate the atmosphere. If you are any type of a sports fan you too will appreciate Brianto's. You can also catch any of the Philly sports teams on TV at Brianto's, along with some fabulous beer specials. This year they are also sponsoring a field trip to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa at Raymond James Stadium. And Brianto's is more than just cheesesteaks. They also serve hoagies, salads, burgers and chicken steaks. I am so happy to have found a real spot for a real cheesesteak here in Central Florida

Most delicious! Armoso rolls packed full of the prefect grilled steak, mushrooms, onions, peppers and cheese whiz. They offer provolone, Swiss and cheddar if you don't like the whiz. A true Philadelphian's haven with tons of pics memorabilia.

Dadadaamnn I haven't had a cheese steak like this in awhile! I got the cheese steak supreme and my gf got the steak hoagie. Her's looked really good with fresh lettuce, red onions, and tomatoes. My cheese steak was meaty and cheesy. I chose provolone this time, but next time I will definitely try the infamous cheese whiz. Each juicy bite led me to flavors from the sharp provolone cheese to the nutty mushrooms. Absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back!

I finally found the best Philly Cheesesteak in Orlando. I hate that it is so far from me (about an hour), but It is definitely a must try. The bread is amazing and I completely understand why they ship it in from Philly. Do yourself a favor and try this place...even if it is just once.

I always tend to gripe and resist when asked to make the long journey to Avalon Park just to eat. Why do I have to drive more than 30 minutes just for lunch or dinner and nothing else? But every time I finally oblige and go to Brianto's, I remember all over again why it is worth the road trip. Their Philly Cheesesteak is pretty darn amazing. I've tried the regular and also the supreme, and I realize that I love the supreme more just 'cos I like the additional variety of items in my meal. I also usually get it with the cheez whiz. Mmm! As others have said, the bread really is the key and winning ingredient in all this. I don't know that their food would be as good without that roll. And next time, I'd like to try one of their other hoagies. Oh yeah, definitely get the chips as well. And the Hanks soda. I love root beer and that was delicious! Can they please open one closer to downtown Orlando, though? Purty please?

Bottom line - best cheesesteaks this side of Philly and its not even close. Ahh. The cheesesteak. Such a simple sandwich but so hard for so many to prepare correctly. Luckily for us, Brianto's knows what it is doing. Right off the top, I only compare restaurants to others in their area. You aren't going to get an exact replica of a cheesesteak in Florida so let it go. But, you can get something pretty close that is very delicious. Briantos subs are big, flavorful, and pretty darn authentic. I have never had a bad cheesesteak here. It's really as simple as that. So to anyone with a craving for a cheesesteak, you can not do any better than Briantos unless you head a thousand or so miles up north on I-95.

I can't believe that this place has been here for five years and I am just experiencing it. The first time we ordered the 18 inch cheesesteak with American cheese, onions and mushrooms. It tasted just like the really great cheesesteak shops in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey area. The second time I ordered an Italian sub and an American sub, they were both so packed full of meat and deliciousness and they were worth every single penny. Excellent quality in the meat & cheese and the sub rolls are imported from Amoroso's bakery in Philadelphia. Herr's chips-A northern classic potato chip is sold there in many varieties and they also have a full soda fountain. The service was friendly and they prepare the food fast and accurately. I am looking forward to our next sub night.

Love briantos! The sandwiches are really good! Quick service and friendly people. It brings me back to my days in Philly!

It's been almost five years since we discovered Briantos. Today's meal was just as good as our first. If you're a Philly fan (football, hockey, and baseball), head to Briantos for the game. Folks show up, eat, and hang out while watching the game. Briantos serves beer. They serve only one: Brianto's brew. It goes well with the steak sandwiches and hoagies.

I've been there a couple times and happy with the service. Usually quick and friendly. The Philly Cheese Steak is my favorite there. Definitely a place to go for lunch if you need something good and quick

Had to run to the Sanford airport to drop off family. Was craving a cheesesteak and found this place on Yelp. Awesome food, this place is now on my list of places I have to stop at when in town.

HOAGIES!!! Great place to get a sandwich or Philly Cheesesteak. We've visited this place multiple times so far and have never been disappointed with the service or food.

Great sandwich place. The service is always quick and pleasant. My favorite is the chicken salad.

Really good Philly cheesesteak!!!!!!!Friendly, quick service. The only downside is it's out of the way if you don't live in Avalon Park.

It has been about two years since I last offered my two cents on the wonder that is Brianto's so I thought the time had come for an update. I love this place. They are a good old fashion success story of hard work an knowing what quality is. They have added a number of items to the menu over the last two years to include breakfast (they have scrapple and eggs for goodness sake) which has been great. Beyond the huge cheese steaks, with actual cheese whiz, they have added a chef and chop salad which are both incredible. They pile on toppings and all of it is fresh cut. Wednesday night is kids eat free night. My only concern with the kids meals is that I think they might be spiking the Mac and cheese as both my kids are addicted to it. The staff is another great part of this shop. They actually get to know you. I walk in and get greeted with a "hello!" and question concerning how my kids are if they are not with me. They know my older girl doesn't like spoons with her Mac so she gets a fork like a big girl. It is the little things that win me over. If you haven't tried them out yet, the time has come!

Had their cheese steak lunch combo. 6 inch cheese steak, fries, and a drink for $6.95 (with tax). Absolutely the best cheese steak since the last time I was in Philly (my home town) Everyone was friendly. The menu was easy to read. BIG PORTION. I couldn't finish my fries. I don't think I would get a 12 inch sandwich unless I was sharing or I wasn't getting fries with it. My girlfriend got a 6 inch Italian sub. It was loaded with meat, cheese, and toppings. I'll be going back often!

So I will start out by saying that I am not from Philly, but yes..wait for it...NY. But like most I have to been to Philadelphia and munched on the delectable cheese steaks from both Genos and Pats. I have to say that Briantos is write up there. Would they make it in Philly? That I don't know, but when you ship your bread and give your place a "Philly feel" you are going to hit a homer in Orlando. I think everything here is really good, but I usually get the "Medium" chicken Philly, and no, medium is not medium..its a whopping 12" of goodness (That's what she said). The decor is pretty standard, but if you are any kind of Philly fan of whatever sport, I'm sure you will find something interesting on the walls. So take it from me...A NYer..go to Briantos and enjoy a nice at cheese steak!

Disclaimer: I am from right outside of Philly so I am a cheesesteak/hoagie snob!! Good thing though, that means you can trust my review of how authentic this place is ;o) The #1 selling point: AMOROSO ROLLS - If there is one thing that you can not get right other than up north, it's the rolls. I think it's the water or something. Just so much more fluffy, fresh and delicious. Jeff O made a great point: Even Publix with their ok rolls, feels like you are fighting with the roll. You have to like saw through it and it cuts up your mouth etc. The Amoroso rolls are heaven. They are shipped specifically for this location. The other selling items: Herrs Chips "Make Herrs Yours"! Sorry, I was brainwashed when I was younger, dang marketing ;o) Hanks root beer, forgot to look if they offered birch beer, yum! So good in the bottle! Decor! It is totally decked out in Phillies and Eagles gear. Thanks to Jeff O for chattin' it up with one of the employees, he found out that the owners opened this place up to specifically focus on the Phillies and not all sports teams out of Philly. That explains the lack of Sixers gear as well as the "Briantos" sign looking exactly like the Phillies logo! Staff was super, super friendly. Everyone making sure we were having a good experience and enjoying the food. I have a cheesesteak with fried onions and provolone cheese (i never could get into the cheeze-wiz) and it was delicious. I got the medium which was large and awesome! I finished the entire thing even though I got a HUGE Italian hoagie to have everyone taste. It has oil on the roll with oregano along with Provolone, Ham, Salami, Lettuce, Tomato and onions. SO GOOD AND FRESH! The lunch meat was sliced perfect and it was so good I took 3 pieces home and had it for today's lunch! So my only gripe: LOCATION. It is so far. At first I didn't think it was but then I thought... if I was driving out here just for lunch (since not too much leads me in this area) it's a LONG haul for lunch. Avalon park is gorgeous and it's a great location for that community, however, I really hope they open one up closer to DT or anywhere within 15 min of the city! That's not too much to ask is it? I promise I will eat there at LEAST 2 times a month!! ;o) Thanks for doin' the Philly Phlavor right in FL!

Best Philly cheesesteaks outside of Philly, and better than several that I tried in Philly. Get the weekday lunch special - 6" sandwich, fries and a drink for $7 or so. Avoid the 12" or larger unless you're really hungry. The 6" is more than enough to satisfy most people.

Probably the closest thing to a small Jersey/Philadelphia hoagies shop in the Orlando area. Good, not great, food but brings back memories of home.

It's been almost a year since I've had a Philly cheesesteak. I was eager to see if Briantos would live up to some of my Philly favorites likes Dalessandro's & Chubby's. I'm happy to say they did! Oh man I had such a craving for Armaroso Rolls, so we decided to take the thirty minute trek to get some cheesesteaks. This was our first time out to Avalon Park. We weren't sure where Briantos was, but luckily we spotted the red and white Philly paraphernalia in the windows. While I love a cheesesteaks my favorite is a cheesesteak hoagie. It's like getting the best of both worlds combined; cheesesteak and hoagie. I've never had mine with vinegar & oil like they had on the menu at Briantos so I gave it a try. The sandwich was great, but i think I'll stick with just mayo next time. My husband gave me a bite of his steak wit and it reminded me of being back in Philadelphia and how much I miss a good cheesesteak. I think it's great that they offer other Philly favorites such as Herrs & Tastykakes. It was nice finding a spot that reminded us of being back in Philadelphia. I just wish the drive out to Briantos was much closer, so I could get that cheesesteak fix more often.

First time I did not get a Philly sandwich. Went with chili on this chilly day, fries and Italian sausage and pepper. Chili was a little thin but flavorful. Sausage and pepper was perfect mix of meat, peppers and onions. Fries (new item) were very good. Crisp on the outside and soft inside. Can't miss with anything here.

Not sure why my review for my favorite Philly spot in Orlando disappeared... It's okay, I'll write it again. This place is honestly amazing in every way. Not only are their steak Phillys great, their chicken Phillys are also amazing. The hoagies they use for the Phillys are extremely soft, fluffy, and delicious. For cheese, they have american, provolone, and cheese whiz. Cheese whiz is apparently what they use on the real thing in Philly. It tastes similar to nacho cheese and it's not really my thing but a lot of people love it. Not to mention, they have the best straight cut fries I've had in my entire life, no exaggeration. If you don't like fries, they have Herr's chips which absolutely destroy Lay's. They have good lunch deals, you get any small hoagie, fries, and a drink for $8 (I think from 10am-2pm daily). Overall this is one of my all time favorite restaurants, I highly recommend it!

We ordered two medium sandwiches, one cheesesteak supreme with cheez wiz and one italian with provolone. Both sandwiches had good ingredients. I would however recommend not getting the cheez wiz since it was a big puddle and made the bread soggy. The italian had fresh meats. It was a bit expensive for two sandwiches however we definitely had leftovers for the next day. We tried the Old bay chips, definitely a great flavor.

I'm going to go ahead and review this place even though it will feel sad and underappreciated around all of these reviews by Philly experts like Colleen and Mike. My first time here, I ordered the large cheesesteak. I mean, what? I always order the large. I'm hungry. Yeah, no. I finished it because I couldn't stop eating it, but that was the last time I ordered a large. So anyway, everything about the cheesesteak is awesome. Tasty soft bread, melted cheese, and delicious meat. The Philly experts say that this is the real deal. I believe them. I had the craving yesterday. Looking it up on Google Maps, it's 8.5 miles away from my workplace with a travel time of 19 minutes in each direction. Hmm. Nearly 40 minutes of travel time for a quick lunch at a little cheesesteak shop in Avalon Park? Sold.

True to Philly tradition, the Amoroso rolls are used here!! the cheese steak sandwich was delicious and nothing beats piping hot fries!! oh and the sweet tea wasn't bad either. will return to try the burgers!

Out of my way but had to try it, yelpers seem to like it. Got me the 12 inch steak sub. Estimated prices 6 inch $4.90 12 inch $7.99 18 inch $11.49 These are pretty standard prices for all of their base subs. I never liked the one price for any sub menu. I don't see a reason for a meatball to cost the same as steak. Drink and chip combo $2.00 If you go on mon-fri they have any 6 inch, drink and chip for $6.49 which is a pretty good deal. I would recommend that. A foot long is a lot of meat, would not order that again for myself. The sub was pretty good, the bread was different then other places. The steak meat didn't appear to have any seasoning, which is why I believe duffys on university still has the best steak subs in the area. But it was a good tasting sub, it' takes awhile to get to the shop if you don't live in Avalon park. So most likely I won't be back. I think jersey mikes has a comparable sub and they have more locations, and coupons.

Definitely an authentic Philly cheesesteak. The amoroso rolls is what makes it sooo good. The only down side i have is they didn't have cheese whiz available!! i was so bummed out about that. The way the bread soaks up the meat juices quickly made me forget about it though. Go Eagles baby.

This review is quite late, yet the flavors are still on the tip of my tounge :-P! As I recall, The bread roll definitely made this warm sub memorable. It was my first Amarosa roll that I know of and its soft inside yet firm/stretchy outside was the perfect carrier for my always simple 'meat & cheese only' style. I opted for the whiz while my friend tried the provolone. My runny cheez whiz experience was also a first, and while not that bad, I still prefer the always reliable provo. The meat was well seasoned and not too tough and not too chopped, just the way it should be. I didn't try any of the sides which saved room to devour the entire sub, however next time I would like to indulge in a pretzel with whiz for sure! I wish I could give a 4.5 star because the only knock against Brianto's is its somewhat remote location. This has made it unlikely of frequent visits, however if for some odd reason I am in the area and craving a hot philly, this is the spot!

First off... Wow, they are in the middle of nowhere, and, boy, am I glad I don't live near here. I would be making a trip once a week if I did! Second... That was so yummy!!! I ate the whole damn thing! I got a 12" thinking I'd have the other half for later. Yeah, didn't happen. I ordered the cheesteak (steak, onions, provolone). The bread was so soft and the taste was spot on. It was a flavor-filled, gooey, cheesy, dripping delight in my mouth! Sure, it could have used a little more meat, cheese, and onion to fill up that big roll, but I was too busy savoring the sub to really think about it. As everyone else has said, they would definitely do well in downtown and should really consider expanding!

This is my 3rd time here ... i Can't think of a Philly cheesesteak I've eaten that beats Briantos. Ordered the 18" and for $2 more a large side of fries. How could I resist?! As usual, they were nice enough to split the sandwich into 3 and even packaged it separately for us. Yummy hoagies large enough for sharing but so good you might not want to. This place is not cheap with the fries.. its hot, its a lot, its crispy! Feels good coming back to comfortable space with friendly staff.

It's so close to home yet I don't come here enough. I know nothing about philly cheese steaks or the right bread or the right cheese. I know two things about it: "I like it" or "I don't like it". And I like it Briantos, I likeeee it. I've only been here a handful of times and I've always gotten the cheese steak supreme which consists of steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese (my choice is provolone). I need to try the cheese whiz as other reviewers suggest. But I love it as is! Perfectly seasoned steak, soft bread, cheesy sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms. The whole thing almost melts in your mouth. I always order to go but the place seems cool to hang. They got the TVs, tables outside, happy hour and specials most days.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday for lunch because my husband wanted to find a good local place for cheesesteaks. He loves the chicken cheesesteak at Orlando Ale House and saw the ratings for this place, so we were super excited. Our reaction? Meh. They were good, but not great. We actually vastly prefer the ones at Ale House. The ones here just didn't have enough flavor, or enough cheese...I don't know. Something was missing. Maybe the beef cheesesteaks are better, but we'll be sticking w/ Ale House in the future.

SWEET PEPPERS! I've eaten at both of the famous cheesesteak places in Philadelphia, Briantos is much better. The others don't fill up their sandwiches with meat and cheese but Briantos does! It was so full that everytime I took a bite, meat and Cheese Whiz would fall out. They also have Provolone, Mozarella and American cheese if you don't have the guts to go for the Cheese Whiz. They have 3 size sandwiches 6", 12" and 18"!!!! There is a wall of fame for people who have eaten the 18" sub with all the toppings, one guy on there has eaten 10 OF THEM!! Briantos has the sweet peppers I've been looking for, most of their ingredients and items come from Philadelphia, including the Amarosa Bread and Herrs Potato chips. The sweet peppers are a brand from Philadelphia that are green bell peppers cooked in a sweet brine. They serve sweet tea and all the standard sodas on the fountain, they also have bottled drinks, not sure if the ones they have are Philadelphia brand drinks but I imagine they are. And the Icing on the cake is they have TastyKakes for dessert :) Hopefully they will open a location more in town so everyone can enjoy it, I always feel weird eating in the shadow of a power plant smokestack.

Don't hate me, but I don't like philly cheese steaks, so when my friend said she wanted to have lunch here, I was praying they had other menu items. And they did! Subs. I love subs, so I ordered a simple ham sub, size medium. This was probably the best sub I've ever had in my life. They pack SO much meat on it, it's literally busting out. This place spanks any other sub shop-they are a little more expensive, but I could barely eat a half of the medium sub. I live across town, so it's unfortunate I can't go here more, but if I'm ever in the area for lunch -I'll probably hit this place up. They have outdoor seating (dog friendly). Only minus, which isn't really a minus, is that it takes a little bit for the subs to be ready. It sucks if you're REALLY hungry, but it's worth the wait.

I am in Orlando visiting and staying in the Lake Buena Vista area. I decided to risk the drive out to Avalon Park tonight, just to taste test these cheesesteaks. My verdict? It was totally worth it!!! The cheesesteak (got it with provolone) was phenomenal. It was truly one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Paired with a bag of ketchup flavored fries and a cold soda, it was a very satisfying dinner. Highly recommend this place!

When I first started seeing the reviews for Brianto's, I was really excited. One of my friends, however, said he had tried them and that they didn't really live up to the hype. It was with a little bit of skepticism that I went in for lunch yesterday. It was the least crowded that I've seen it. Usually, when I drive by, there's a fairly big crowd. At 2pm yesterday, there were only a few people there. There were, however, 3 employees. It seemed rather overstaffed for the "crowd". I decided to just get a 6" cheesesteak with provolone cheese. Yes, I know that apparently true Philly cheesesteaks are supposed to be made with the Cheese-Whiz that they offer, but what can I say - I like provolone. I also got a bag of chips and a drink. Only $6! Looking at the menu again, it seemed like I was under-charged. It wasn't until later that I noticed a sign on the far wall advertising the lunch special which I had inadvertently ordered. The sign is to your back when you're ordering and kinda far away. They should really move that a bit closer. While I waited for my food, I looked around. Two TV's were playing sports. The walls were plain and simple white, covered with photos of baseball players. It reminded me of a take-out pizzeria in New York - the ones with just a few tables if you really wanted to eat in - but this place was much bigger and open. My food arrived quickly. It needed a little more seasoning added to it, and it was a little on the dry side (yes, I admit that using the Cheese-Whiz instead of the provolone would probably help this). I also felt like they went kind of light on my cheese. A cheesesteak should be almost gooey with cheese, but I could barely recognize the flavor in mine. The service there was polite, but not what I would call "friendly". Maybe I'm just spoiled by the service in some other establishments in the same strip, but no one checked on me to see how I was doing or to make sure the food was OK. While I ate, I noticed all three employees had disappeared into the back. Overall, I liked it. I'd probably try something else (Cheese-Whiz, or with the mushrooms and peppers) next time, but I'll be back.

The real deal - Philly's stadium seats along the wall mural to go with the steak and cheese sub! Sliced pickles and a brew to boot!! Highly suggested if you are in the mood for some solid grub. The guys cooking probably own the place and are authentically engaged in making kick butt food - made to order in a flash.

When you get a snack attack that puts you in a mood where you just HAVE to have THE exact thing you are craaAAAaaaving, you will only settle for the best. Well my friends, Brainto's is THE place you NEED to go in Orlando if you are looking for a solid Philly Cheesesteak. The amoroso roll, so soft that it hugs your thinly sliced grilled steak that's weaved with the creamy goodness of cheez whiz....ooohhhhh, I felt myself being catapulted up to the clouds with every bite as if my mouth were the springs and my tongue was the fabric bouncing me with every chew. Each bite was a triumphant moment...you know, the kind where your eyes just roll, your shoulders hang and your head rolls from your right shoulder and hangs back over your neck. *SMILES* YES, it's a trek and no one lies about that but YES, it really IS worth the drive. *drool*

Right so maybe a month ago I went on a culinary expedition and found myself driving out to Briantos. Yes, I needed a cheesesteak and based on feed back Briantos was on top of my list. Though is was the BESTcheesesteak I've had in 1.5 decades I somehow was thrilled and bummed at the moment. Thrilled that I finally gotten something decent and tasty as far as cheesesteaks are concerned. Bummed that it was based on "Philly Original" a frozen product designed to go from the freezer to the grill. Hey, I get it. Brianto's is a business not located in Philly. If its not slamming then food spoilage could be a concern and going frozen to grill solves that issue and delivers consistency as far a product. Overall, I really enjoyed my Cheesesteak and have no quams about recommending it to anyone jonesing for one. Like I said, its the best i've had in 1.5 decades since I moved from PA. I just feel like it could be kicked up a notch.

Cheez Whiz and Amoroso rolls on cheesesteaks. The way it MUST be. Briantos is a true delight for anyone looking for an authentic cheesesteak. I love the fact they have Herr's chips and also Tastycake Krimpets. It's tough to find those items down in Orlando. The only thing that I don't like about this place is the trek to get into Avalon Park for the best cheesesteaks in Orlando. But it's even worth the drive.

    (5)
  • Jennifer D.

This is the best Cheesesteak I have found in Orlando. Its still far away, but whenever I am on that side of town, I make it a point to stop in. I always get the cheesesteak hoagie which comes with lettuce, tomato and red onion on top. The extra raw onion adds a nice pop of flavor!

My husband and I shared a large sub, 1 bag of chips and got two drinks for around $19 bucks. The large sub was plenty for the both of us and we had chips leftover for the road. It tasted amazing! Then, my husband discovered the buffalo sauce bottle, added it to the sub and thought he found heaven. He said the flavor combination was unexpectedly great. He's a big eater too but we didn't leave hungry. I don't live close enough to come as often as I'd like but we love the cheese steaks enough to drive out of our way! If they keep the quality and service as wonderful as it has been, then they've got lifetime fans in us!

Just ate here for the first time tonight and it was great. The rolls are so fresh and aren't heavy like other sub shops. Will definitely go back to try other menu items.

The man behind the counter slaps the sliced steak cuts onto the hot griddle and a few moments later adds the chopped onions to the mix. The steak slices sizzle and steam as they're cooked. Later, he adds our cheeses onto the steaks. Victor chooses cheez whiz, that infamous thick processed yellow-colored cheese sauce that has become popular among cheesesteak connoisseurs while I choose the more old-school sharp, and a bit healthier, provolone cheese. You could also order the pizza steak, which comes with Steak, Marinara, Mozzarella, and Parmesan Cheese, or cheesesteak supreme with Steak, Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms, and Cheese, the Chicken Philly, Italian Hoagies, salads, and more. The cheesesteaks and hoagies are served on authentically Philly-made Amoroso bread. The crispy, rich, golden brown Amoroso bread is specially shipped by air in to Brianto's daily to ensure Brianto's has the authentic taste of true Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies . The cheese steaks arrive at our table wrapped in white paper, beckoning our curiousity and hunger to open them and ravage the contents within. After breaking the taped seal on the breads, we unfold them out onto the table. Our mouths began to salivate at the aromatic smell of the melted cheese and hot steaks. It was a hot mess that lay out before us. The first bite: a delicate, delicious balance of cheese, steak, and bread combined to perfection and made with the finest ingredients that there could be and made with the great care and attentiveness as if by some great Philly cheesesteak master. It was divine. My 6in was enough to get me full and the 12 inch was definitely more than enough for Victor, it was hard to imagine that the large is actualy 18 inches, a full 1.5 foot long. Truly Philadelphia: Brianto's also has a stockpile of direct-from-Philly Tasty Kakes cupcakes and pies as well as Herr's potato chips found in Philadelphia. for photos and review check out my blog at tastychomps.blogspot.com…

Best Philly cheesesteak in Orlando. Make sure to get the cheese whiz for the authentic experience. They also have amazing subs. Better than Subway by miles and better than Publix by about a kilometer

  • Ari W.

I'm a fan... I haven't had any other sandwich except the cheese steak with cheese wiz... and why would I? It's messy and yummy and I just love it. Get one of the various Herr's potato chip bags... they have every flavor imaginable and finally, be sure to get a Hank's Cream Soda... If this is what a cheese steak is like in Philly then I've been missing out. Some people like the Philly Connection better, but Brianto's is family owned and not a chain and I favor these types of places. My only complaint is that it's all the way in Avalon park, so its a drive to get out there, but that's probably good for my waistline. They have a ton of different subs you can get and salads too... but I can't comment on them. Add a friendly staff to the mix and Yelp deals and you just can't go wrong here.

  • Rob S.

I've never been to Philadelphia outside the tarmac, but this cheesesteak is AMAZING. I went to Sonny's and got all-you-can eat bbq, and on the way back to Avalon just had to get one of Briantos' giant cheesesteaks (with provolone) because they rock so hard. You know when you go to a sub place, and you get an 8 inch cheesesteak and just aren't quite full? Trust me, that won't happen here. The subs are huge, filled with meat, cheese, and toppings, and are absolutely delicious. Totally worth the drive out to Avalon.

I'm from a little town called Hershey, PA (maybe you've heard of our chocolate??)... and know a thing or two about a proper Philly, having had more than my share right from the source. I moved to Florida about 15 years ago and haven't had a Philly worth eating since... until I found this wonderful little piece of heaven called Briantos in Avalon Park. When I saw the word "Hoagies", I knew they were the real deal. One bite of their original Philly (with cheese whiz, of course) and you WILL BE HOOKED! In addition to their amazing hoagies, they have quite the selection of the goodies I've missed all these years including an astounding selection of Tastycakes! The only thing they're missing is teaberry ice cream and I'd feel like a kid again :-)

LOVE their salads! Coworkers have had their burgers and phillies...always rave reviews. Highly recommended!

GREAT philly cheesesteaks. They come in 6', 12', or even 18' if you're hungry enough. packed with meat and every bite is delicious

Made the trek out here today to meet Colleen et al... First impression: Super clean, and super friendly people! It's very spacious and inviting. Sports memorabilia everywhere, but mostly for the Phillies. I didn't see anything for the 76er's. :( Now the food... Great cheesesteak! The bread is where it's at! Amarosa rolls flown in from the city of brotherly love! Chewy and incredibly soft, but not soggy at all. A miracle of science! There wasn't as much meat as I was hoping, especially reading all of these glowing reviews. Still... it was a damn good lil' sub. I also sampled the Italian hoagie. Again, the Amaroso roll seals the deal. That said, I still don't know if it's the best Italian in town. It was pretty straight up, and maybe could have had more dressing. This place needs to figure out how to expand, and put some locations closer to civilization. I think it would draw a continual crowd. Where else can a fool get a legit cheesesteak in town? I would like to go back soon, but driving to Avalon Park is a bit of an adventure.
