Haven't eaten any solid food since the morning, my stomach was craving something filling. I passed Beth's after a nice stroll through Eola Lake park and burgers sounded like the right medicine to fill my tank to full for the remainder of the day. The menu makes it easy to order-pick the amount of burgers/hot dogs you want (i.e. single, double, etc.), then the toppings and then the sides. They certainly don't skimp on the variety of toppings, they offer the likes of the standard bacon to the interesting peanut butter. To give you a hand with choosing what burger they also provide 5 signature burgers - I went with The Morning Burger: cheese, fried egg and bacon. Even if you order a signature burger you're still given the option to add more toppings. One downfall some people mind find here is they didn't given an option of how to cook the meat; however, I didn't ask so it certainly may be possible. As far as service, the cashier was as friendly as could be and brought a welcoming vibe to the establishment and even came around while I was eating to ask how the burger is (which I definitely wouldn't expect at a burger place back North). Surprisingly it wasn't too crowded for a Sunday night, but that may have to do with a viewing party that was going on down the block for the local soccer team. Even if it was crowded, there was a fair amount of seating that you would expect at a burger joint. As for the food, I'll start with my side, sweet potato fries. This may be an exaggeration, but they may just have been the best I've ever had. They weren't too hard or too soft. Some sweet potato fries have weird texture but these tasted as smooth as can be and to top it all off it had a sprinkle of salt that added that extra something that most sweet potato fries don't have. The first thing I'll say about my morning burger is that it was definitely fresh since it tasted like it came right off the grill ( both taste and heat wise ). The egg was cooked sunny side up and the burger well done. All in all I wish it had just a little bit more flavor - maybe if I added a dressing - but I wouldn't call it a disappointment. The bun wasn't too over powering and in the end, the food you tasted the most was the burger, which shouldn't come as a surprise. Certainly a place to call when in need of a burger in the downtown Orlando area. Cheers.

This is my second time writing this review because the owner had my previous one removed. That being said, I stand by my review. I came here one evening with two friends and there wasn't a wait at the counter. However, it took us over 45 minutes to receive our meal. The restaurant was busy, but not busy enough to warrant a 45 minute wait. When we asked what was taking so long, the staff just blamed each other. I was really hoping for something great as I know many people that enjoy Beth's, but the burger was just average. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

The wife and I were craving a burger and since I have heard so many good things about Beth's Burger Bar we decided to give em a try today. When we arrived we realized that like most places in downtown, parking was going to be an issue and for $5 we remedied that across the street. We walked in and the very first thing I noticed was the floor felt like it was coated in grease. I mentioned it to the clerk and he mopped the floor but it felt like someone mopped the floor AFTER mopping the kitchen floor first. The two gentlemen working there were very personable and we were asked if we had ever been here before. I let him know this was our first time and he explained the menu and the burger challenge that they have. BURGER CHALLENGE: Eat a one pound burger with 8 slices of bacon and 5 different cheeses in less than 10 minutes and you win a shirt, get your photo put on the wall in the burger suit and get bragging rights at Beth's Burger Bar! I opted for the 1/2 pound Peanut Butter Burger since I was told it was the best seller along with a side of fries and a glass of iced tea. My wife chose the 1/4 pound Jalapeno Cheese Crunch and a Corona to wash it down. When the food arrived, I was pretty excited to try something off the wall. The burger was well cooked and the sweet and salty of the peanut butter and A1 steak sauce were a nice combination but the meat itself was not seasoned and it left the burger a little flat in taste. Had the salt and pepper not been forgotten in the burger meat, I think it would have been a home run. The fries were also delicious but about 1/3 of my fries were in one fry clump. My wife's burger also had a great flavor and texture with the combination of pickled Jalapenos and Cheetos but her burger itself was also not seasoned and it was also flat in taste. A couple of things to note... If you are going to offer Corona beer, offer limes to go with it. I don't know too many people that do not add a piece of lime to their Corona. You offer iced tea but no lemon or lime. When I saw you offered Corona I figured that you would have some lime at the very least. Finally several of the booth seats were ripped and in need of repair. I do admit that the look and feel of the place is incredible. It had a diner feel that was quite charming. The next time I come I will have to do the burger challenge just to earn the bragging rights and I will have to post the video of me doing it. In your face Adam Richman! lol Ambiance - 5 Service - 5 PB Burger - 3 JC Burger - 3 Fries - 3 No lime or lemon - 1 Slippery floor - 1 No parking lot - 1 I suspect that the few misses I encountered are NOT the normal MO of this place so I will be back. I am also looking forward to earning my bragging rights!

Really solid burger -- it tasted exactly as I imagined. Got a single with cheddar, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, mushroom, ketchup, and mayo. Beef burger is not huge but all the adds made it size able. Really the perfect size for me. I loved the bread. Fresh, buttery and soft -- my ideal bun. It didn't overpower the burger but complimented it perfectly. We will be back!

Pros: great taste, large hamburger, open late, great service, nice atmosphere inside. Cons: price (2 hamburgers and 1 med fry $25, no drinks) peddlers hang outside and one was banging on the window.

Really good food nice and friendly staff. Tried the peanut butter burger and the pizza burger

I was in Orlando for the night as part of a 1 week vacation through South Florida. I had just finished watching one of my favorite bands play The Social, and I wanted some late night dinner. How stoked was I that Beth's Burger Bar was still serving. I'm a huge peanut butter fan, so I couldn't resist ordering the burger with peanut butter, cheddar cheese, and grilled onions. With tax it came out to $5.59, which is in my mind a pretty decent price for a burger. I got my burger and headed out the door for a walk around Downtown Orlando while I ate dinner. Man this was good! The flavors mix so well together, you just wouldn't expect it. Polished that burger off in about 5 blocks. Could have probably gone back and ordered another, but it was late and time for bed. Now I have a reason to come back to Orlando.

After a night downtown, my girlfriend and her friends decided to get something to eat. My girlfriend wanted a burger and I told her about Beths burgers being close by. The prices are very affordable and the food comes out fresh off of the grill. They have their own set sandwiches, but you can modify the sandwich in which I did by adding to extra patties. My only complaint is that there isn't many set sandwiches on the menu, but I guess that can let you get creative when creating a sandwich of your own with the many options of cheeses, veggies, & sauces.

After running into a friend while walking around Lake Eola, I was told I had to walk over to Beth's Burger Bar. I'm always up for a new local restaurant and my group (boyfriend and friend visiting from Michigan) and I decided to check it out. First impression, the place is super cute with a retro feel to it that's not too over the top. We got there early so luckily we were the only people in the place, but we were told that the place is jammed packed on the weekends during the evening. Plus, all of the staff was super friendly and helpful. They literally went out of their way to give us the best experience possible. Great customer service is hard to come by and these guys have it spot on! The food is also FANTASTIC! I split the peanut butter burger and sweet potato fries with my friend and both were so good. I would have never thought a peanut butter burger would have been so delicious. I know it sounds weird, but don't judge a book by its cover. It was breathtaking! If you're in the area (or not) you have to try this place and order the peanut butter burger. Incredible food with outstanding customer service!

Beths Burger Bar!! I've searched central Florida for good burgers, and this place has them. There are 2 locations, and they pride themselves on being better than 5 guys. Which is a chain, so the comparison shouldn't be relevant. The burgers are delicious. You can tell they put care into their work. Happy to go out of my way to get a bite. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are not bad. About 10-12 bucks per person for burger, fries and a drink. Worth it. They also have a variety of beer and wine for your alcoholic desire! Try the DD challenge for a chance to get your picture up on the wall!

Love this place! Took my and my bff forever to find but the place is so worth the walk!! The whole joint reminds me of a Steak N' Shake, in the fact that it's all 60's themed. Actually, it might be 80s. It looked like the kind of place where Bon Jovi would come to get a burger. lol Still, loved the meal. Loved the service. Great Burger. Cheap too! I'm totally going back!

Average at best. I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat before the soccer game this evening, and while my appetite was satisfied, I felt that there was a lot of room for improvement. It was around 5:30, so I was the only one in there. I was starving, so I ordered a double patty with all of the usual toppings plus some fries. Since I was the only one there, my order came out pretty swiftly. The burger itself...eh. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it. It was an average burger. I would have liked it if they asked which temperature I prefer my burger, but they didn't. What I got was medium-well, when I prefer medium or medium-rare. The patties could have used some more seasoning to bring out some more flavor. They also seemed a bit dry. The toppings were on point, though, so no complaints there. The lettuce, tomato, and onions tasted fresh to me, and the ketchup and mustard were pretty much what I expect from ketchup and mustard. The fries were pretty good, but again, I would have preferred a tad more seasoning for an extra punch. I wish Beth's would take a page from Oblivion Taproom's playbook and add some variety for how you want your fries seasoned. I think OT has spoiled me. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff were nice. The music they were playing were oldies, so as "Unchained Melody" played, I felt like I was Patrick Swayze and the burger was Demi Moore. Like I said, average at best. I wouldn't mind coming back here, but it's not high on my list of priorities.

Yeah, not sure about this place. Was not impressed the first time around but gave it a while until I returned to see if some of the kinks were worked out and I'm just not feeling it. I adore burgers and we have some fabulous spots around Orlando so maybe I am just spoiled since I have a few fav spots but this spot all around is just lack luster. The most recent time I went it was around 3pm so it was cleared out and I received my to go order pretty quickly but there were a few things that were easily noticed. First and foremost, the staff just wasn't welcoming, as I approached, the girl working the register was eating a salad at a table and got up to take my order and then sat right back down. As the cook was making my burger, him and the girl were playing put ice down my shirt games. Ummmm, yeah so that happened. I get it, but that plus my unimpressive meal from there just rubbed me the wrong way. Went for a double as there patties are pretty thin. There just isn't any flavor to the meat. I guess the only way to go here is with their sauces but I believe a great burger always starts with a juicy, flavorful patty. Just really unimpressed. Also, the sweet potato fries were very overcooked and zero flavor. Also, as I watched my burger get prepped, he wasn't wearing gloves. Sigh... I am pretty sure this is my last visit here.

I was hesitant to order the peanut butter burger at first, but decided to take my chances. Glad I did, one of the best burgers I've ever had. The flavors mixed perfect, sautéed onions, peanut butter sauce, A1, American cheese on a perfectly seasoned double pattie. I will definitely be coming back for regular visits, and trying the weekly creations they come up with. If you haven't been here, or were reserved about stopping in, don't be. You are missing out on some excellent food

Came in thanks to Yelp reviews. Not even that hungry as I just ate sushi down the street. I actually read about Beth's as I was finishing a yellow tail roll and decided to switch to burgers. You can switch from one alcohol to another, so why not food? Anyway, it was a great decision. Burger is reminiscent of Steak N Shake or 5 Guys. Hand formed, fresh and delicious. As this is basically my second meal in 20 minutes, I didn't try the fries - but they look awesome. Maybe tomorrow?

very mediocre burger. Out of several burger materials and no sweet potato fries. Not sure exactly who was to blame for the 45 min wait. But I feel if you cant get 20 burgers out in 45 minutes you need to rethink your operation. I have been here before my most recent visit and I wish I could say my experience was different.

My son and I came into this downtown location on a slow Thursday evening. The person at the counter who helped us was great and friendly, explaining the menu and how it works. Their concept is a lot like "Five Guys," in that you pick from a ginormous list of toppings what you want on your burger. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with A-1 sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, and grilled onions, and it was delish! My only complaint (and what prevented a five star review,) were the onion rings. They were tasty mind you, but call me a fat kid, I just think that for $3.99, you should get more than FIVE onion rings! Other than that minor glitch, service was great, the food came quickly, and the guy working the counter made us feel welcome to come back! I'm from California, so it's hard to top In-N-Out burger, but this is my second favorite to them, and I like them better than Five Guys. On a funny side note, they have a sign up that says: "it takes one woman to do the work of Five guys!"

Great burgers!!! Many options with something for everyone. Staff (Jerry) was very kind, gave my niece (8yrs old) an extra dollar to play another one of her favorite songs on the jukebox. Sweet potato fries were awesome. Also open late.

Great for after hitting the bars. Not too long of a line (like Gringos). Order, sit, they bring to table. Cheap prices with a variety of burgers and other options. Food is good though.

This place actually surprised me as far as quality goes. It's located downtown at the corner of Wall Street. Right next to gringos locos! The place itself isn't really huge but you can definitely be seated and the booths are comfortable. Theirs also some tables outside if you'd prefer. Don't be fooled it is seat yourself. I do recommend a sign clarifying that. Anyway the burger was actually pretty damn good. Freshly prepared with various free toppings and sauces! Though cheese is a dollar. The burgers themselves aren't to steep starting at 3.49 for a single patty that's easily preferable over five guys. I could honestly say it's probably tastier to! I had a double patty with every free topping and left more than full so be mindful of that! The sweet potato fries are pretty good. Crispy and sweet! The classic fries are actually better than I thought they'd be. Crispy and seasoned well worth the 1.99! I wasn't drunk like most people their and I still enjoyed the food very much! Great value great food! Theirs also a digital jukebox in the back pay to play whatever music you'd like! I give this place a thumbs up and recommend it if your ever going downtown for the night or just passing threw downtown and undecided on what to eat! Good job guys!

Food was good, service was questionable... We were a big group, mostly kids, didn't even get a hi.... and we came inside in waves... I think the girl was thinking we would be rowdy and messy or something, just not very hospitable... All our burgers were descent, bread tastes terrific, onion rings were so so Just shocked that we didn't get the same welcome as other patrons, and very disappointed

We loved the staff. However, my daughter ordered a salad without tomatoes and when delivered, it was full of tomatoes. The burgers were okay, nothing special. Price was $40 for family of 4. If you are in the area, stop in but don't make a special trip over there.

I eat here on occasion and it is always prepared the way I order it and ready in a short amount of time.

Beth's is a little dirty, the burgers lack any taste but the staff is very nice. Coke machine had no ice, onion rings were very very good but too expensive for such a small portion. The double burger just lacked any flavor, was over cooked even though I asked for medium. The fried onions were tasty and the toppings were fresh and tasty. I don't feel the need to try again, the double plain burger costs about the same as 5 guys and half the price of Grafetti junction but when all is said and done it is just average and I can do better than average at home

  • Michaela B.

Beth's burger bar has great service and wonderful burgers that would beat any burger joint around downtown Orlando. I was very happy and pleased with everything and everyone who was there.

  • Kimberly W.

Beth's Burgers was average. I saw "Beth" working behind the counter and felt she was condescending and degrading. I'm assuming it's her because her Jessica Rabbit like cartoon caricature of herself closely resembled the older lady trying to grasp so desperately onto her youth. When I went up to the register and said it was my first time there, she didn't even say hello or welcome me. Instead, she talked very rudely to one of her employees, telling him he was entering something in the register wrong. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because the gentleman who took my order was nice, but you could tell he was either new or just nervous that "Beth" was hovering around him like a mother hen. While waiting for my food, I saw her take money out of the drawer and count and found that a little rude. You can't greet a new customer, but you can concern yourself with the money in your cash register? I don't think I'll go back because I don't want her to have my money. My food was average and while they tried to sell "peanut butter sauce" on a burger, there was nothing special about it. It was lackluster to say the least. The best thing about my meal was the buttered bun that stayed crispy and the fried pickles. While eating the burger, I couldn't help but wonder what my burger was missing. Salt, seasoning, I still can't figure out what flavor is lacking. To the person who said this is one of the best burger joints in Orlando, you're crazy. Five Guys, Shake Shack, Burger Fi, Christ even Denny's------ any of those places,by far, surpass anything that this place has to offer. I wanted so badly for this place to be something special considering how close it is to my work, but it was a complete let down. p.s. Also, a co-worker informed me she got very ill 20 minutes after eating from this place.

Talk about amazing service and an amazing burger! Even though the staff was working a holiday instead of out having fun with the rest of us, the service was extremely courteous and sincere. Should I get started on the food? Amazing! This is my go-to when I'm craving a delicious burger...or sweet potato fries....or fried pickles!

Want a single or a double ? Then pick your favorite toppings and sauces. It's that simple. Ask for Frickles or maybe get a PBR... This is a bar! Open for Lunch or Dinner and Late Night Downtown Orlando! #WhyOrlando

Burger was dry, and tator tots were overcooked and tasted like grease. I'll have to stick with Five Guys for a quick burger. I believe in second chances, so I will revisit and hopefully edit this review to 4-5 stars in the near future.

Best burger spot in down town! Ask for Beth! Me and my friends all ordered burgers and we ended up going back for more and not to mentions the absolute most amazing fries I've probably ever tasted lol

I was very skeptical when I initially walked in, it was a late Friday afternoon and the place seemed a bit light on people. My skepticism was quickly washed away in a flood of flavor, meaty goodness and total bliss. Beth's is definitely one of the best Orlando area burger joints. The menu is incredibly diverse and creative. I enjoy coming over here for a quick lunch while my car is being detailed around the corner. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a high quality burger. Damn, now I'm hungry.....are they open yet? Update: I actually did pack my stuff up and drag myself down there right at noon for lunch after writing my initial review. Tried the peanut butter burger and it was incredible!

Pretty cute spot. Beth's is small burger joint around the corner on Washington right near the main strip. I've been here for 3 years and didn't even know this place was here. I like the set up. Space/Seating: It's very open in the ordering area and they have the options of high top chairs for wall/bar seating or booths and tables. Menu: The menu is made super easy for ordering. I'm sure this helps with the late night crowd who's decision making skills are probably impaired. You can pretty much add just about any topping to your burger and pile your meat as high as your heart desires. The fries are seasoned and pretty yummy. Service: Ordering was quick and it took us about 5 minutes to get our order and the restaurant was pretty full so I think that's not too bad. My burger was cooked just right and my fries were hot. My bread on my burger was not my fav bit it was ok. Did was it needed to do. I think they could have been a little more generous with the toppings if you ask me but overall I enjoyed my meal. I would recommend Beth's as a late night stop or a mid day lunch if you are looking for a well cooked burger downtown.

Burgers are good and greasy. I love the fries. The burgers could be seasoned a tad bit more but overall I like it.

Beth's Burger....sloooow take out. No one was waiting when we arrived and still waited a long time. The cook was at the window and we could see him putting fries in bags with his bare hands. Thanks goodness they weren't ours. Lots of profanity in the music selection too for a Thursday evening.

During our vacation in Orlando, we wanted to try some place local that we couldn't get back home in Houston. Before the Magic game, we walked around downtown and stumbled upon Beth's Burger Bar, and decided to give it a shot! The staff was friendly and talkative, and offered up the suggestion of the burger with the peanut butter sauce. Now you might think, wait .. peanut butter on a burger? That doesn't sound very good. We didn't think so either, so my girlfriend took the challenge and ended up loving it. The peanut butter and beef patty with her additional sauce and toppings (BBQ Sauce, Grilled Onions, American Cheese, and of course, Peanut Butter with Honey) worked really well together. It instantly became a favorite of hers. I had a simple double with avocado, pepperjack, lettucs, ketchup, and mustard. Very good juicy beef were used in both burgers, the fries were crispy and had great texture and flavor to them, very good seasoning used on the fries as well. I would visit this place again!

I didn't even know this place was here until I stumbled on it during a lunch break on jury duty. What first caught my eye was the fact that it was OPEN. Usually the restaurants at this address fail spectacularly, and by the time you get there to try it, it's already closed. I ordered a burger with several toppings, onion rings and a drink. It was a bit of an expensive proposition, I'll admit, but the food was pretty good all around. On its own, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area, but honestly if I'm in the mood for a similar type of lunch in the future I might just walk a couple of extra blocks over to Pine 22, where it's the same concept for about the same price but you'll get what in my opinion is a better meal.

We experienced this place on a Friday night. The staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked to close the front door. The variety was impressive for the size of the staff. The fried pickles are nice if you like chips however they had a bit too much batter. The peanut butter burger and veggie burger were average because they we cooked well down even though we didn't make that request. This wouldn't be a mandatory stop upon returning to Orlando.

Awesome burgers!!! Definitely the best one I've had in the downtown area. The fries are great. Just the fried pickles are not cooked correctly and they only gave me like 5 of them. But it's okay the burger made up for it. The guy who took our order was very nice and helpful.

This place is good and cheap food but as far as burgers go I wasn't that impressed. If you go definitely get their normal fries. I think that was my favorite part of the whole meal.

I love the food here! The atmosphere is awesome and I love that they have healthier choices on their menu as well as stuff you can't get other places. I've never had a better burger. Try the peanut butter burger, it sounds weird but omg it's SO GOOD!

I've heard a lot about this place and have had it bookmarked on my yelp as well as on my radar for awhile. My chance came recently after a long night pub crawling downstairs. I'm sure the alcohol had something to do with it but these burgers are delicious! I was with two other people and we took the different side strategy: I got the tater tots, one friend got onion rings, and the other the regular fries. All of them were fantastic. I'll be back, drunk food or not!

Wow! Got the double double. Wasn't sure what it was when I ordered it but turned out to be a burger that you need a knife and fork to eat and will feed a family of four! What an awesome burger. Had it delivered to my hotel and it was still hot when it arrived. Nice job everyone!

  • Anne C.

You must try the peanut butter burger! I subbed BBQ sauce for the A1 at the recommendation of a super friendly cashier and it was phenomenal. The only negative thing I could say about this place is that it could probably do with an extra wipe down and newer furnishings but hey it caters to a lot of late night folks on the weekends so I'm sure it would just get trashed anyway. I'll definitely be back for another burger.

I don't get the reviews. Thin burger, thick bun... it was just alright. Better than McDonalds but cost more too. Fries are extra and nothing special. I won't be back. On the bright side, friendly staff and the service is quick.

I visited Beth's Burger Bar today with the intention of completing The Double D challenge......I had no idea what I was getting myself into. First, I loved how easy it was to find parking by Beth's and it only cost me $4 for two hours. When I first walked in I was impressed with the dive bar meets modern look. It wasn't at all a dive but they pulled it off well. Did I mention I love dive bars? They generally have the best food. Anyway, I was greeted by a very friendly employee and he went over the menu with us. I then played coy and asked about The Double D challenge. I found out at that point just how big this burger was. Not to mention I had to complete it in 10 minutes or less. My wife was skeptical of my chances but I never doubted myself and apparently my co-worker Dan also never doubted me. Thanks Dan...means a lot! The 2 employees working there also seemed skeptical. Seriously people....one look at me and you can tell I've had a few burgers in my lifetime. Ok, a little more than a few, but I digress. I was also told that if I didn't complete the challenge in under 10 minutes I had to wear a burger costume and have my picture taken for the wall of shame. A picture of me wearing this costume is not something I ever want to exist...anywhere....especially on the internet. When the Double D burger arrived I was taken back by its size and amount of toppings. One of which was mushrooms.....I despise mushrooms but I had no choice. I had my before picture taken and the challenge was underway. I'm not going to lie, at one point I thought I was done for but a couple burps later I was finishing up the burger. 8 minutes....not bad! I walked out with my victory t-shirt, cup, and the knowledge that my picture is up on the wall for completing the challenge and not in a burger costume. Oh yeah, the burger was also amazing. It was by far the best burger I had on my trip so far. It consisted of 4 burger patties (1 lb. of meat), 8 strips of bacon, 5 slices of cheese and toppings galore (including onions, pickles, tomato, jalapeno, lettuce, mushrooms, ketchup, mustard and mayo). Even though it was huge and I had to eat it fast I could still taste how moist and juicy the burger was. I didn't even notice the dreaded mushrooms amongst the cornucopia of other toppings. I can't wait to come back to Orlando again so I can win myself another t-shirt and of course enjoy a fantastic burger. Please stop by and try the challenge yourself if you are ever in Orlando. I give Beth's 5 Doubleday's......I'd give it a higher rating if I could.

I usually order the single burger with fries. Burgers are average size with big flavor. The frickles (fried pickles) are spears, not chips. I prefer chip so I didn't care for the spears. Service is s bit slower than you would expect for an early lunch (usually 11:30) but not terribly slow. Staff is friendly.

This place was okay. You order at the counter. There's a big selection of free toppings. The burger is a little too well done for my taste and the sweet potato fries weren't well done enough. Cute place...busy.

Seriously, the BEST burgers in Downtown Orlando!!! I like to keep it simple, A Double with American Cheese, Bacon, BBQ Sauce, Ketchup, Lettuce and Tomato... Heaven on Earth!!! Enjoy!

What a great treat to find in downtown Orlando. Walked in the other day for lunch, and had HANDS DOWN THE BEST BURGER I HAVE HAD IN YEARS!!! This place will satisfy that craving you have to a great burger. Will be definately going back again!!!

Pretty darn good. Made to order bugers on buttery buns and topped with fresh veggies and homemade sauces. Fries were piping hot and delishously seasoned. All served up in a friendly diner-themed, counter-order place.

The closest thing to In-N-Out one can find in Orlando!!! And for a California native to say that truly means something. Beth's is by far, the BEST bet to quench those burger cravings. They feature an assortment of fresh ingredients, tasty patties, and a wonderful staff. If you have questions, anyone at the counter , and they will be happy to walk you through some suggestions. Have no fear though, because no matter what, your selection will blow your mind. The establishment is quickly becoming a favorite for not only me, but my friends as well. And I look forward to my weekly trips downtown!

Only the best burgers in Florida! I highly recommend that you try the peanut butter burger with sweet potato fries!!

Their fried pickles are two words, amazing and worthwhile! I sometimes come here on my lunch break, if you want your order to be ready in a timely manner-make sure you call ahead! The lunch rush can get crazy. The staff is pretty friendly. If you get a burger, fries and fried pickles are a must as well. They almost make the burger!

Great burger place and one of my favorite places to get a burger. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere has a very welcoming and nostalgic feel to it. You can customize your burger however you want and they have several specialty burgers as well, including a peanut butter burger that I have not yet had the courage to try. They also have plenty of sides to accompany your burger. The burgers always come out juicy and full of flavor; I have yet to be disappointed. Possibly even better than their burgers are their fries. Beth's honestly has the best fries that I've ever had, and I've had a lot of fries. A single tear falls from my eye after I've eaten the last one, both because of how great they are and because I have run out and want more.

Talk about sticker shock. Just wanted a turkey patty for my salad, thought I would stop in. How expensive can a turkey patty be, especially since turkey is less expensive than beef? Price was not on the board, and I was quite surprised when my bill came out to $8.29. For a turkey patty without the bun. The burger is $6.99, and although I wanted free toppings when the girl behind the counter rattled off lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, then jalapeños, I assumed the last thing was free. It was not, hence the $8.29 total. But I should have looked closely to board on the board to see jalapeños were extra. But, I have to ask why charge 75 cents for four jalapeño slices? When I questioned the price, the girl behind the counter apologized, and tried to justify the price by saying the patty was big. No, the patty was smashed down to be a thin patty. Perhaps a quarter pound of meat, if that. And while seasoned, it was chewy. No justifying the cost. It was overpriced, even if it wasn't chewy and even if it came with a bun. For a little more than $5, I can get Chicken Satay at the Thai cafe. As much protein, if not more, on a bed of lettuce. Better bargain for a downtown worker. The staff was friendly enough, but I'm not sure what the hype is about Beth's. Won't return.

I walked into Beth's Burger Bar and asked to make me something special. ..they asked me (Chris) a few ingredients ...which kind of cheeses ... sauces...bacon...it ended up pretty amazing I don't know wha they did to my body but whatever it was it was better than a reach around I pretty much came from my mouth it was a mouthgasm seriously innovative and amazing I appreciate the ingenuity especially when drinking and putting my burger destiny in a strangers hand I love this place

Well, if you're looking to abate all cholesterol-induced food items from you diet, this may not be a place for you... BUT ITS SO GOOD you can't pass it up! Definitely a place to find greasy food to end your night, but having it your way. That's right, like Burger King, but SO much BETTER! Goat Cheese and Jalapenos were my awesome choices. Let's not forget about the fries. Watch your timing because this place gets packed after everybody's done with dancing and drinking.

For a place that does mainly burgers I was very underwhelmed. I'd crave a McDonalds cheeseburger before I craved one from Beth's. Funny enough, I had a chili dog, but still have no love to give to Beth's. I'll give them credit for the all-beef hot dog but no points for the flavorless chili and limp bun. I tried my friend's blue cheese bacon burger and the only thing they get points for is nice, thick bacon. Otherwise, bleh. The patties were extremely thin, which means cooked to a crisp, and had no flavor. The cheese was underwhelming and the upcharge for the toppings was a bit much. Nothing special about the fries or the onion rings, move along, nothing to see here. Even their food challenge - which is to eat a double-double with only cheese and lettuce/tomatoes was underwhelming. I'd say I'll try it the next time I go, but I was so unimpressed there won't be a next time. The staff is nice at least, guys behind the counter were cool. Store is small, only about a dozen tables, and there's boxes of random table games like playing cards all over...kinda odd. I'm sure this place is great at 2AM when you're drunk and stumbling out of the bars looking for something carby and greasy to soak up that alcohol. They have the carb part down with the fries and buns, but I found all their meat to be extremely dry and no grease, which as we all know is where the flavor comes from. Sorry Orlando, still can't find a good burger in you. The quest continues...

decent burger, decent sweet potato fries. I ordered my burger pretty standard, with the typical toppings of lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard, mayo, ketchup. It was OK. It wasn't "O-M-G, that was so good, I can't wait to go back tomorrow to have another," but it was better than a couple of other sandwich/burger places I've tried in the area.

Waited 27 minutes for a burger and then the "Manager" accosted us (spitting in my face) for complaining about the wait. No apology. No offer for a refund. Just threw us out with a burger in a bag. And then the order was wrong! Poor food, over cooked and the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any establishment. If they treat you so despicably to your face, how do think they treat your food? Spend your money somewhere else.

I visited Beth's new store on S. Orange avenue last week. Upon entering, I spotted a "waitress?" talking with one of her friends in the corner. I sat down at the bar and found that it was filthy.......hadn't been cleaned for quite a while, and since it was about 1:30 you'd think someone would have made it available for new customer, but all chairs had the same problem......all unclean. So I went to one of the tables, but all of them were also filthy, with crumbs, old dishes, used napkins, etc...not one table was fit for a new customer. I told the waitress about it and it took about 10 minutes for her to come back to finally clean all the tables. Her excuse was " I am only one person". I then sat there, along with another couple who came in after me, for another 10 minutes, with nobody coming and asking us what we wanted to order. When I finally went up to the kitchen counter and complained, I was told that we had to come up to the cash register to order. There is no sign in the establishment telling a first time customer to place an order at the register, and the other couple was surprised that this was the procedure, since no one told them that's what was required in order to be served. We could have been sitting at our tables all afternoon had I not gone up and complained about the service. When my burger came out, there were no french fries with the order. Upon inquiring about the fries, they told me they were on the counter in the kitchen. When they finally brought them 5 minutes later they were stone-cold! I again complained, and when a new batch came out, I was almost finished with my burger, so they were no longer a "side". This was not a good first impression. My friends and I eat out twice a week and I was asked to check out the new burger joint down the street. When I told my friends about what had happened, they said they would not patronize the Orange Ave store if that was the norm. I concurred. I'm not sure if I should give it a second try, since my bill for a drink, fries and a beer exceeded $11.00. Another thing......when I paid up front with a credit card, before I was served, the register receipt had provision for a tip.......and I commented to the person at the register "Why should I pay a tip up front, when its purpose was to reward a server for the service provided?" He didn't have and answer for that, and after all was said and done, I left no tip, because of the lousy service. Unless there is some compensation for me to try it again, I won't, but maybe they deserve a second chance if Beth lays down the law to the Orange Ave people.................Dick G

Went here on a Saturday night after the clubs let out. What I liked about this place was that I had my choice of cheeses to put on the burger. I had the single burger with swiss cheese and everything else (including grilled onions) on it. I also ordered a side of fries. The portions were good, food was fresh, and it beats five guys. They even have all you can drink beer on Wednesdays for $10. Might have to check that out. I'll definitely be coming back again.

As we walked around downtown looking for a place to eat my friend suggested we go to Beth's Burgers. I was initially skeptical but as soon as the food arrived I was very pleased. The meat was super juicy and full of flavor. The fries were above the norm for typical downtown late night fries. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars for me is because we had to check a few different tables for ketchup and the fries. Although the fries were tasty I feel that fresh cut fries would've kicked it up a notch.

This was the best burger I have had in Orlando!! Seriously beats Five Guys, Johnny's Filling Station, Red Robin or anywhere else hands down. The onion rings and fries are also amazing. Loved it and will definitely be back!

This is one of the best places downtown to get a great and affordable lunch. The burger and fries were great! I also got some free Chapstick from Beth herself. Next time I go in, I'm planning on doing the 1lb burger challenge. :-)

Came here on a Tuesday night and much like everything else downtown before midnight on a weeknight, place was dead. Score! Nothing on the menu really caught my eye but then again, it is a burger joint. I only ordered a burger with a few toppings, which got the job done before my downtown excursion. Found the ground beef to be substantial and the bun not too thick. It's really hard to mess up a burger but I've also had some terrible burger. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here but for a last minute burger without any frills, I'd comeback.

Good burgers and great tasting fries. Just be prepared to wait around 15-20 minutes for your food. Went in today and there was no one in line. My friend and I were surprised how long it took to get our to-go orders. Not sure if you can call ahead, but that's your best bet during a workday lunch.

I just had the worst lunch experience at Beth's Burger Bar. I ordered with a co-worker and we sat with our ticket and waited. My ticket number was 67. I noticed they called numbers in the 90s and they bypassed my ticket number. When I inquired, I was told their system was broken and not printing tickets correctly. They offered to rush the order. I asked for it to go because at this point, I only had 15 minutes left before I had to clock in back to work. I waited and nothing. I inquired how much longer, with only 7 minutes to go at this point. They said one minute. A few minutes passed and still nothing. I asked for a refund. They were unable to do so because they could not process my credit card slip. They offered a free meal for next time. What is a free meal going to do for me when you already owe me money for the lunch (2 meals) I paid for and never got?

I visit this place at least once a week. I work right around the corner and it's consistently delicious. I'm going even say it's the best burger place in town. Much better than some other places that are right down the street.

    (5)
  • Jennifer C.

Thanks to fellow Yelper's for good enough reviews that I tried it for lunch today! The burger was pretty damn good!! I went with the one patty with american cheese, grilled onions and ketchup. I do wish the would have bbq sauce as an option. You can choose how many patty's you'd like and topping options, which is a nice feature. I also went with an order of regular fries and they were delicious! The restaurant itself got pretty busy come about 12:05 - it was nice to see people trying a new restaurant. I hope it stays in business! There is a "Double D" challenge - you get a shirt and your picture on the wall if you can complete. Some dude was trying the challenge while I was there. I didn't stick around to see if he finished. Good place, decent menu and I'm sure I'll be back!

This definitely has a good burger and fries. What I liked even more was the service. The cashier was very pleasant and welcoming along with the staff making the burgers. The restaurant looked very clean and welcoming. There's also a lot of TV's to keep your interest. Very good concept where you can literally have it your way. Walk up to the counter and pick: how many patty's, toppings, cheese's, and sauces. They made my order in about 5 mins and I was on my way happy. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good lunch or a late night snack. The location seems to be cursed having about 3 other restaurants open and close, all within 12 months. Hopefully they can break that curse!

Me and a friend decided to try this place on a whim while downtown on a Wednesday night... It was so delicious! The staff was super friendly and great with suggestions to help us pick what we would like. The burger was perfect and the fries and fried pickles were also fantastic! I get excited when I find a great burger place and this was one I'll be going back to:) my only complaint is that the bar stools along the wall and window are too short for the height of the table, we moved to a booth because of it...

    (5)
  • Jose C.

It's a fantastic burger for what it is, definitely better quality ingredients than Five Guys as far as the burger goes. Can't say I've ever had the french fries sober, so I cant' speak to them, but the burgers are fantastic. I generally end up here instead of Gringos. I've never had a burnt bun or poorly prepped patties. It's not the best burger in the world, it's certainly no Vortex Atlanta, but it's pretty damn good for what it is.

    (5)
  • Amber H.

OK one word... FRICKLES their fried pickles cut quarter sized and fried, crispy deliciousness. The burger comes plain then you add your choice of free or cost toppings. I had a single burger with avocado, over easy egg, bacon, pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, and mayo. It was really good, the egg was cooked great with yolk moistening the burger. The fries were good but a lil salty for my taste. The only down to this place was the light above the table was a bit bright for my taste I would suggest a lower wattage. They also have a DD challenge where you are challenged to eat a HUGE burger in under 10 minutes if you do you get a shirt and a picture to claim your fame, if you lose you put on a burger costume and get a fail or loser picture. Looked fun but the pictures are high on the wall I would have liked them to be in an area where I could look at them more. All in all great custom burger and FRICKLES!!!! I will be back :)

Happened upon this place by accident. I didn't realize Pine 21 closed so we went here instead. Great find! Had the special of the day the first time - burger with bacon and dried apple slices. Great flavor combos! Second time tried the PB burger with the steak sauce on the side - also great. Burgers are good sized and not nearly as greasy as 5 guys. Buns were soft and didn't fall apart. Fries and rings were good but quantity varies a bit. Some people in my party got a lot of fries, others got noticeably less. Parking is always a pain downtown but worth it for Beth's.

Meh. Five guys concept. Choose your topping but pay for each. Not much to choose from either. I think the best part was that They grilled the buns with butter. A ok alternative if you don't want to wait in line for gringos locos late at night.

This location used to be a horrible chinese restaurant so I rarely walked down this road. The other day I noticed it was now a burger place and within a week had to check it out. What a find. They have very simple menu and have GREAT food. YOu pick your size single, double, triple - cheese and toppings and they bring you a fresh prepared burger. The best burger downtown by far. Their fires rock too. I also had the pleasure of meeting Beth and all of the staff was super friendly. I will be back often. They even have peanut butter as a condiment - dare I try? The cook described it as "life changing". If you live or work downtown - you have to visit this place!

Beth's Burger's is the biggest woof. They will skip you song if you happen to play it four times in a row and it is who let the dog's out. Also they don't have the chow mein anymore, that was the best.

We just landed and arrived at our hotel from the West Coast and realized, hell, it's 1:30am, no place is open after 11 here...not even room service. Trusty Yelp guided us well. Customer service at this place was good. The manager was fun, charismatic and helpful (he even answered some questions about the area and things to do). The menu was limited but very unique, which makes up for the limited part. I ordered the single which was cooked barely medium well (which I LOVE). Regular fixins plus grilled onions, mushrooms, avocado and bacon. The get-up was delish. The bun had this almost-pretzel bun taste to it. Buttery and grilled edges but soft and rich otherwise. Also, we ordered fries which tasted fresh cut and were seasoned perfectly. I'm looking forward to coming back tomorrow after a long night out and trying the suggested chicken with pineapple with jalapeño.

I came here drunk and was blown away, but wanted to try again sober and see if it held up. It does. I've been to a lot of the "gourmet" burger places and always say five guys is better. I can't say that with this place. Its a no bs burger place, if you like burgers off the grill this is the place. Service is super quick and both times I've gotten a fry and a single burger and couldn't finish it. Come here next time you are downtown

  • Jessica W.

Oh Beth...the name says Burger Bar yet there is no bar. Sure there is beer available for purchase but you must take it to your table or booth (careful, the booths are not attached to the floor and slide when you slide into them). How about a unique toppings bar? I am a bit puzzled by the name. Loved the slogan that it "takes one girl to take down five guys." Clever fiction, if I say so. The decor is odd and hastily thrown together. I try not to judge on decor as my expertise is only from marathon runs of Restaurant Impossible, however I do. And you know you do too! I digress. Ok, how's the food? $25 bucks for 2 meals: burgers with fries and iced tea. This better be good! The burger was not completely awful but it did not make me salivate for more. My bun was burnt. The double patty's were cooked unevenly. It lacked a little finesse but it was edible and satisfied my hangover craving for greasy goodness. The natural skin on French fries will save this place, right? I had grabbed the malt vinegar while waiting for the burger with excitement for what's to come. Then the man wearing a chef coat (who also took our order and brought us the food) stuck his hand in a bag of frozen French fries. GASP?!?!?! The little coated impostors arrived and so did my frown. I pushed the malt vinegar away hiding it from the shame that I will not be needing it after all. Will I come eat a burger in the late night hours after a night of bar-hopping in downtown... probably. Will I crave Beth's Burger Bar and head there for lunch and bring friends... most likely NOT.

I checked out the NEW burger place last night called Beth's Burgers down town Orlando on East Washington Street. I enjoyed a yummy chicken sandwich with all the trimmings, which included sweet potato fries that were absolutely out of this world. Very clean restaurant that included a spotless bathroom. Friendly staff and who provided me with outstanding customer services. I would highly recommend this place for a casual lunch or dinner.

    (5)
  • Yolanda T.

Went at lunch time. Service was very slow. By the time they brought the sandwiches we had to go. We needed to keep reminding them or our order. It's pricey too! There are no combos, cheese slices and each topping has an additional charge. Fries are $1.99. A veggie burger is $7.99!!! I paid over $14 for a burger. NEVER AGAIN!

  • Marvin M.

The first time here. I've heard mixed reviews about this place but I decided that I would try it for myself. @tarajroth was with me tonight. We walked in and the crew was super friendly. We were there for an event and the place was hoppin'. Got to meet Miss Beth herself and she shared her story and passion about burgers. Wifey and I had the pineapple jalapeño burger with pepper jack cheese and the peanut butter burger with cheddar and onions. WOW! Beth hit a home run with this one. I have to go back and try some other unique flavors. Awesome job Beth. Check out the Double D challenge.

  • King L.

There isn't a single good burger in downtown Orlando and there still isn't. For $11 you get a copy of five guys with much worse fries. My $11 got me a doublecheese burger (burgers are overcooked dry hockey pucks), mediocre thin fries and a coke. With the very mediocre quality of the burger I strongly suggest a lunch combo special or it will be lights out soon. I don't see a repeat customer scenario.

I was really happy with my experience at Beth's Burger Bar. It's an assuming little shop on Washington Street, next to Gringo's Locos. Similar to Pine 22 and Five Guys, you can either build your own burger or choose from some pre-selected combos. Some toppings cost a little more, and some are free. Once you order, you get your cup, go to the drink station and then choose a table. Then, they bring you your meal. I ordered a single with cheddar cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and honey mustard sauce. I wanted to go for the peanut butter burger but my stomach wasn't feeling so great. But the burger was delicious! Full of flavor and the perfect size for a quick lunch. The bun also was tasty, something you can rarely say about burger buns. I also tried the sweet potato fries and they were fantastic! Prices are decent, too. Depending on your toppings (bacon, fried egg, etc.), you can probably range anywhere from the mid $5 to $8 range for the sandwich. Fries and drinks are extra. Definitely worth going back for more ... and next time, I'm getting the peanut butter!

    (5)
  • Lindsey V.

Yum! I had the peanut butter and cheddar burger, yes, you read that right, peanut butter! Something no one would ever put on a burger will now be my favorite condiment. Then I tried the pineapple/jalepeno burger which was also great. Just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The fries were also good, didn't even need to use ketchup... and I LOVE ketchup, so that is a compliment! Can't wait to go back!

I had a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. They were delicious! The atmosphere is great as is the service. Definitely try them out!

Absolutely love this place!! Convenient place to go to lunch if you live or work downtown, service is fast, and the staff are friendly....did I forget to mention that the burgers are awesome?? That's because they ARE!!! Not as greasy as the "other guys", veggies are fresh which makes overall quality GREAT!

I recommend this place doing the daytime especially... At night the music and get kind of obnoxious and loud And you can't hear your friends talk, But overall the food is great pretty much any time
