Had the fish and chips and beer cheese soup. Both were excellent. The fish was hot and crispy. The soup creamy with a tangy taste. Service was good. I'd go back but I don't live in the area.

Ehhhh...it's alright. I've had their wings on a few Mondays when their special is in effect. They never get our order right. Oh and then suddenly the special didn't apply for take-out...not sure what that's about. Since then we haven't been back because the one time we decided to "enjoy" our wings in-house it was completely empty and boring minus the horrible, awful trivia going on. A pub is supposed to be filled with slightly-too-drunk patrons arguing over the current political administration or the football rivalry on one of the many televisions. It's not supposed to be 99.5% empty with no camaraderie. Not my cup o' tea.

It's a chill local bar, but nothing overly exciting. The waitresses are friendly and wear some cute outfits, but the girls are kinda average. The drinks are well priced, definitely a nice midweek place.

Stumbled upon Peggy O'Neill's when we were looking for a place to play Buzztime Trivia. The menu isn't all that thrilling, so we've only ordered apps, so I'm glad they have a soft pretzel on the menu! The bartenders are very nice and provide good service. Overall it's just "ok", if they didn't offer Buzztime, I wouldn't return.

While stopping for lunch here means not going to the popular and more tasty Cuban Breezes right across the parking lot, there are a few redeeming factors when doing so. First, you get an immense amount of food for your money. Daily lunch specials from 11am to 3pm include soup or salad and it was the largest "side salad" I have received at any restaurant for lunch in a long time. Clearly, the kitchen made everything fresh and my entree was steaming hot and plated nicely. As an Irish Pub, there's an expectation met with much of what you see on the menu but there are honestly plenty of items to choose from whether you order to fit the theme or have something different in mind. Drinking at a place with this theme is never difficult and there appeared to be plenty of specials available. I am not a day drinker, but the bar was packed with regulars on this particular weekend afternoon who didn't look like they were going anywhere for hours. Oh, there were two pool tables inside. I note this because pool tables are an endangered species in the bar/restaurant world because they take up too much space and places that have them are tough to find. Not sure if they work or not as they looked a bit on the older side, but both are located right near the bar. While they feature some nightly entertainment such as live music or the dreaded Karaoke on Thursdays (One of those magic three things that keeps me out of a bar/restuarant no matter what...the others are UFC/MMA telecasts or Kids Eat Free promotions), I found plenty of entertainment in the two regulars conversing about all things pro football. These dudes are convinced Jameis is "the real deal," Ryan Tannehill is a "stud" and the Cowboys will trade Tony Romo after this season. Sorry, that's why guys like this LISTEN to sports talk radio and don't actually host it.

Local pub style restaurant. Admittedly, I only go on Thursdays when they have their BOGO basket o' Fish 'n Chips (you have to order two beverages to get the deal). Two planks of fish that are sized pretty decently for a hungry guy and a basket of fries. Very nice. No frills. I wanna eat. I wanna pay. I wanna go. They oblige.

First time ever going here and wow I wish I lived closer. Food was absolutely amazing, very high quality. Free beer. Great prices and chill environment. Got to meet the owner who bought me a shot. Definitely would recommend.

Just found this place although its been there for a while. We went on a Monday night, which is $1 tacos and 50 cent wings! I tried both, and both were great. The tacos were very fresh -- a lot like homemade. The wings were tasty, and come in a number of different flavors. The place looks like your typical Irish pub. Service was very quick, but the place was really empty when we were there. We heard it was the first night under new management, so we will see if there are any changes. Lots of interesting bar/pub food on the menu, so I will be back to try some more!

Went for fish and chips and cold beer. Fish was lightly breaded, hot and fresh and very good. Beer pitcher nice and cold. Wife had corned beef and cabbage which was also very good and a nice size serving. Service was excellent the waitress was super attentive and helpful. Going back.

First time dinning experience at this pub. We had the beer soup, flat bread & a chicken sandwich. Soup was good but flat bread & sandwich average for bar food. The overall low score is due to the horrible service & treatment we endured by the wait staff. Apparently this was not a good day to have dinner here due to some special event they were having. We had to wait over 20 minutes to place our order then had to have our food eaten & be gone in 15 minutes in order to not have to pay a cover fee. There was so much pressure from the wait staff that the entire dining experience was ruined. We ultimately paid the $16 cover charge so we could eat our meal in peace! We never received our drink or condiment orders despite asking wait staff multiple times and by multiple I'm talking more than 5 requests! Not sure that we'd ever return due to the shoddy service but on a happier note, the band was excellent soooo band gets 5 stars, pub gets 1 star!

I tried this place out because I had heard they had 'authentic' Fish & Chips, which is a dish I had fallen in love with in Portsmouth, England while in the Navy, so that's what I had. Was it good? Yeah, it was decent. Was it authentic? No, not even close! I'm not sure what fish they used, but it didn't taste like Haddock or North Atlantic Cod (which is what traditional Fish & Chips is made with). The batter was too heavy and the "chips" (fries) were seasoned fries, which I found a bit odd, as that is not too "authentic". Since this place touts itself as a traditional "pub" I thought they would have a side dish of mushy peas, but no, they had cole slaw. The decor is okay, with an "Irish Flair" that seems to be a bit overdone in some cases, particularly the uniform the waitress wore, making her look more like a schoolgirl, not "Irish". The place was very clean though, so that was nice. The service was pretty fast but then again, the place was roughly 99% empty, and the server (Angie) was very polite and seemed a lovely young lady, no complaints there. There were several people at the bar, and only one other table, but she handled everything nicely and seemed fairly knowledgeable on the menu. Decor: Okay Cleanliness: Seemed VERY clean Service: Excellent Food: Decent

We went on Wednesday night. The trivia was pretty lame. We had the Ruben rolls for an app. They were perfect.

Excellent place! Monday's are the best for $1 tacos and 50 cent wings. Service is great, very friendly. They have small dance floor, darts, and they have lots of events going on so you never get bored.

I had the Shepherds Pie and my lady had the corned beef and cabbage, both were good, throw a Guinness in the equation and you have a definite winner!

Will never go back. Took over 40 min to get a meatball sandwich and quesadillas. We had to ask about the food. They hadn't even started cooking it. When it did come the cheese wasn't melted and both dinners looked very unappetizing. We left and won't be back.

Peggy O'Neill's is one of those bars that you know what you're in for as soon as you walk in the door. It's a local bar in a strip mall in Oldsmar right off of Hillsborough Avenue. The Drinks: Strong, large and good. The Service: Okay. Average. The Food: Good bar food. I had the Irish Nachos and after I was done, I still wanted more. The Ambiance: Interesting. The bar smells like..a bar. There is karaoke some night and a jukebox with a good selection of music. B. Major Grade: B

I have been to the Palm Harbor locale a few times and have always had a great time, so when I finally realized the Oldsmar spot was up the road, I figure we'd give it a try! The atmosphere is different in Oldsmar, I think because they are located in a strip mall. But the menu is the same and I haven't had a bad experience with service, to date. I find it to be an average jaunt; nothing special, but tasty food and a decent happy hour with late hours. The last time I dined, I ordered a taco salad which was just okay, though being an "Irish" Pub, what could I actually expect, I suppose? I would recommend Peggy O' Neill's for drinks in the bar, primarily.

On new years eve my GF and I were looking for a place that was open for an early dinner. We ended up at Pegg O' Neil's Oldsmar Location which was not close to my house at all, but was open. We were pleasantly surprised with great service and tasty food. We needed food quickly and we get "hangry" if we don't eat, so we started with chips and salsa. We then saw they had $2 Tacos special and I got 2 or 3. They were awesome. I preface that with saying they were awesome for an Irish Pub. We have eaten at the Peggy O'Niell's in Palm Harbor, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food as well. My GF ordered the French Dip and she enjoyed it.

I like the place, never had any problems when i was there. A nice change from the over packed hooters, winghouse or tilted kilt.

The service is excellent and everyone if very knowledgable about the menu. The menu is diverse and has a variety of Irish food and other bar classics. Finally, it tasted great.

A fairly cookie cutter bar even for a cookie cutter town. Vague Irish feel. The male bartenders wear kilts and the men in skirts joke never seems to get old with the clientele. They serve up a great variety of traditional food like Buffalo wings. Strip malls make me feel sad.

My advice is to stay far away if you are looking to dine. Tried to let management know about the food, but they didn't seem to care. We won't be back.
